This sketch doesn't highlight it, but Koechner & Ferrell have excellent comic chemistry
It was, if you go back and watch the Audition video from SNL 40, you see him doing this in his audition.

His performance in the original seems super toned down after seeing this one.
Why is this so funny? I’m laughing but I don’t know why.
It was also cut for time originally and then put in during reruns, I believe.
