the world was full of surprises but george never imagined anything like this this was the museum's first robot exhibit so what do you think george [Music] [Applause] [Music] so easy or what i want 10. this one has a delicate enough grip to perform surgery or do this [Music] now over here are examples of what people imagine robots would be [Music] [Music] this is where we'll put your rare models you will have them here before the opening tonight right oh sure i'll bring them back after i take george hope thanks here you can drive the mars rover out wow holly sure loves that okay george i have to take that with me [Music] thanks i'll see you later [Music] i never knew hundley like robots so much [Music] that's how george got the idea to make a robot for hundley to play with [Music] oh it worked hundley thought george was a real robot [Music] being robotic for a whole hour was tiring george was ready to get out of that thing but he didn't want to ruin it for hundley by letting him see the robot wasn't real [Music] since he couldn't reach the button george decided to relax and wait till the elevator came oh hi professor hi i just came to pick up a small red robot you mean the one in the lobby he said two inches tall but i guess he meant ah two feet [Music] there was the elevator finally george could go home [Music] uh oh i left it right here oh no someone must have kicked it check the floor i don't think you could kick that thing across the room oh sure you could it's only two inches tall you mean two feet i know the difference between inches and feet professor there's a runaway robot upstairs it's small red and says xf17 on the side you got the controls what controls it has no moving parts [Music] george professor wiseman brought you to the museum because she thought you were my xf-17 [Music] yeah your outfit's so good you almost ended up on exhibit [Music] hey that's a great idea huh we promised an xf-17 model we never said it wouldn't be monkey-powered [Music] and that's how george became a museum exhibit for a day [Applause] [Music] welcome to the incredible edible arboretum a cornucopia of exotic comestibles blueberries alicia blueberries are my favorite bush-based fruit come on george [Music] it looks like you all forgot the county sprout rules uh rule number one never eat any plant that you're not 100 certain is safe and that means consulting the edible plants guidebook um no it means getting an okay from an adult right rule number two plants are living things you can kill or hurt them if you're too rough so don't pull on them and don't break any branches come on [Music] why is the screen flickering [Music] either the earth is off its axis or i forgot to charge the batteries okay george can you climb that tree and see where we are [Music] and bill bill bill where are you going don't worry i've got my handy backup compass this way folks bill a sprout never leaves the trail that that that's rule number three phil oh my excitement's really growing cause we don't know where we're [Applause] going in this direction green in this direction [Music] george couldn't believe what he was seeing someone was trying to break that branch somebody was not being a sprout [Music] oh no this man was wrecking a tree [Music] hey are you a monkey cool [Music] i always wanted a monkey but my mother said no george had to do something and fast this tree was in trouble [Music] hey return the headgear monkey [Music] george didn't mean for the hat to get wet or the man but george couldn't wait around he had to check on that tree george wished he could think of a way to get the branches back on the tree he needed something sticky really sticky like mud [Laughter] i'm sorry i left you in that tree oh dr greenbean nice to see you huh sorry we're late we've had a rough day tell me about it first this monkey ran off with my hat and now my tree lopper has vanished [Music] hey what's going on we'll put mud on this uh george ah so dr green bean was cutting some branches and you thought he was hurting the tree oh you should have asked oh wait oh you're a monkey well anyway this is called pruning you make a careful cut and it doesn't hurt the tree at all [Music] hey i got it uh mr sproutmaster according to this you're going the exact wrong wait you're going the right way never mind proceed [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] so what do you think very impressive i'm glad you liked it george oh we should go the rocket presentation is starting soon are you coming with us george do you want to stay here and watch the clock [Music] well if it's okay with professor wiseman it's okay with me now if you want to see the little people play again move the minute hand once around to 12. have fun how long does it take to build a clock like that oh about three years oh that reminds me huh i'll be right back george be a good little monkey exactly george wanted to see the little people again [Music] that looked like george's friend compass the almost homing pigeon because when all the other homing pigeons homed in on the statue he almost made it [Applause] [Music] it was compass all right george was happy to see his friend the pigeon he couldn't fix the minute hand and that's what made the little people play [Music] george remembered there was another way into the clock the back [Music] [Music] oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] when you take something apart it's a good idea to pay attention to what went where where could george find out how a clock's parts go together [Music] the library of course [Music] he hopes studying the big clock would show him exactly what to do with the little clock [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] george was glad that noise had stopped [Music] [Applause] whose toes are these okay and this goes there now you see [Music] what a beautiful clock did you make it [Laughter] i know everything about clocks but not one thing about understanding monkey [Music] george how did this heavy metal tool box get so [Music] [Music] bedtime in the city when all little monkeys like to hear a good story of all the bedtime stories double o doggy was george's favorite it's a super spy's job to discover secrets and double-oh doggie is the best he has lots of tools to help oh that's a periscope remember [Music] well inside the tube are two mirrors the mirror at this end reflects whatever it's pointing at to a mirror at this end [Music] that way double-oh doggy can see things without being seen himself [Music] all right good night little spy monkey [Music] the next day george started practicing to be a super spy like double o doggy [Music] george if you have any paper to recycle put it in this bin okay um george [Music] a super spy needed a spy name george [Music] double o became professor wiseman i was wondering can we meet an hour later a super spy had to be smart quiet and quick with his hands and feet there's this thing i want to get for george he is going to love it sometimes super spies had to go undercover oh great see you then he'd only been a super spy for two minutes and double o monkey already had his first spy mission find out what the man with the yellow hat was going to get him [Music] it took a while to get the angle of the periscope just right [Music] he was gonna need something to hold it all together [Music] at last double o monkey had his spy periscope and not a moment too soon [Music] except maybe charkie [Music] [Music] how could he keep his eye on the man with the yellow hat now [Music] [Music] you wouldn't be a spy monkey would you he did you make this huh wow this is very good really but you know it's not nice to spy on people [Music] and can ruin surprises like this [Applause] now do you want an official double-oh doggy periscope or would you rather just make another one [Music] you want both [Music] when you're a super spy monkey you need lots of ways to keep your eyes on things [Applause] [Music] hey george perfect kite flying weather huh hmm careful i'll lose control flying kite's all about control sorry i can't turn over control to an inexperienced city kid this isn't as easy as i make it look i studied the beaufort wind scale for three years i never make mistakes [Music] [Music] that's never coming down [Music] for a city kid you sure can't climb a tree [Music] not a scratch thanks george as a reward i'll let you flyer bill billy coming i promised i'd help mom gut a pumpkin i won't be long [Music] you watch the kite till i get back oh [Music] george figured he could watch the kite even better while it flew [Music] for a city kid who never flew a kite before got her up higher than i ever did whoa [Music] [Applause] well hi bill you own binoculars sure do what's trailing behind that kite ah it's george it's george and he's got a squirrel on his head bill you call the fire department okay why i don't know they seem to know how to do everything what are you gonna do i'm going up there after him george george it was his friend the man with the yellow hang glider all right guys hang on tight we're going home george would never forget the day he was almost a bird and he added almost being a bird to the list of things squirrels don't like [Music] you're a natural kite flyer kid good work lunch is ready here's some lunch for you too jumpy it's time to bring her in george [Music] thanks for helping me with the nature week exhibit george we'd like to see the tracks of all the animals that live around here the swim mask oh i'm gonna go jump in the lake to conduct the nature week fish survey bye [Music] george wished his photos were more exciting but there weren't many exciting animals around here hey george what you doing wow i see you've got almost every local animal except that fawn i've seen in the hills huh a fawn is a baby deer bet you don't see too many of them in the city huh a fawn was just the special unusual animal george was looking for come on i'll show you where to find it george still hadn't seen the fawn or learned what its tracks looked like [Music] these were the biggest tracks george had seen so far something extra large must have left them they looked like big duck tracks a big duck would make a terrific photo [Music] this was like the long track the garter snake made [Music] a giant duck with a snake's tail would make an even better picture [Music] but a huge snake with duck feet would be the most incredible photo of all [Music] maybe it's swam back home george remembered he'd seen big tracks like these in a book there they were dinosaur tracks a duck-billed dinosaur and the tracks were headed towards bill's house [Music] hiya george did you see the farm yeah i guess those do look like dinosaur tracks [Music] yep my new boots were hurting my feet so i put these on to walk to the lake i told you i was going swimming remember [Music] hey now i know what it's like to walk in a dinosaur's footsteps [Music] with no hungry dinosaurs around george still needed that special photo for natureweek it sounded like jumpy was hungry again [Music] but george had enough pictures of that squirrel [Music] ah [Music] for such big animals those deer left pretty small tracks hey deer tracks wow you used fruits and vegetables to lure the deer to our house so you could take photos [Music] look at these wonderful deer how did you manage to capture such amazing photos george oh you know george he just used his imagination isn't that right [Music] it was a perfect day for sitting on the balcony drawing birds eating grapes and drinking juice [Music] george had seen a lot of birds but none wearing one of those bird had seen a lot of animals but none doing that he wasn't going anywhere till he figured out what kind of animal george was [Music] george be careful out there [Music] hold on just because he came back here doesn't make this his home homing pigeons have special homes ah that's the pizza wash up george he needs to go home this just isn't a good home for pigeons oh if that's how it had to be then george would turn their home into a good home for pigeons [Music] uh huh [Music] [Music] oh [Music] what [Music] [Applause] [Music] it wasn't perfect [Music] yet compass good to see you yeah compass is an almost homing pigeon he won't admit he has a weak sense of direction george the doorman is the pigeon's friend he came to take him home to his real home [Music] everybody look who's home [Music] see he's back where he belongs [Music] i bought it for birds to sit in so you can draw them nice effort george but birds want to sit in a real tree [Music] compass look a real tree for you make yourself at home [Music] the pigeons still didn't know what george was but he sure made a good tree [Music] how'd you enjoy the show george aren't all the different breeds fascinating would you like to see the winners up close [Music] george got a big surprise because when he actually looked at the big ones and the small ones [Music] and the crazily hairy ones [Music] he thought the dog show was great have you ever seen so many unforgettable dogs before okay well it looks like you had fun i hope he wasn't too much trouble he was no trouble at all wow that's great to hear gotta run see you tomorrow thanks so much bye-bye so you like the dog show huh [Music] george wanted to tell the man about all the unforgettable dogs he saw [Laughter] but he only remembered three it's okay you can tell me later oh would you do me a big favor and mail these letters i made a sandwich if you're hungry and when i'm done i want to hear about all the dogs george was afraid he wouldn't be able to tell the man more because no matter how hard he tried he could only remember three [Music] there was only one solution [Laughter] [Music] but no matter how many times george looked at those dogs he couldn't remember more than three oh there was obviously no way a monkey could remember them all attention could i see the owners of the winners over here please briskly briskly [Music] [Music] [Music] there were three big three small and three hairy dogs george i'm all right hundley what are you doing here [Music] there are like 20 dogs in here george remembered all the dogs so where did these three and three and three nine dogs come from [Music] i'm just so happy they're all back in all safe well everyone's back where they belong hundley [Music] stop the car hundley's in there come back [Music] good morning george i'm gonna sleep five more minutes okay [Music] [Applause] [Laughter] sorry this here roller coaster whips and snaps your own hairpin turns at 70 miles per hour so come on down to zadie island and ride the turbo python 3 000. that's captain's orders everyone was excited about riding the turbo python 3000 except the man with the yellow hat he was afraid of roller coasters and remembered the first and last time he rode a roller coaster it was so long ago he was just the boy with the yellow hat [Music] and since that day roller coasters upset him okay i'm a grown man i have no reason to fear a roller coaster [Applause] uh enjoy the ride george i am thirsty [Music] excuse me i'm sorry but you can't ride the turbo python 3000. [Music] oh you have to be as tall as this sign to ride and uh you're not that's it honey go to sleep nothing makes you grow like a good sleep and i want you to grow up to be big and healthy [Music] all this growing made george tired if sleep made you grow he could do two things at once [Music] sleep made george grow a lot at least in his dream [Music] i'm sorry you can't ride the turbo python 3000 you're too big [Music] george didn't grow as big as he had in his dream but he grew enough to be five licorice whips tall [Applause] seeing betsy lose her hat reminded the man with the yellow hat of that fateful day [Music] that's it i'm not afraid of roller coasters i'm afraid of losing my yellow hat your hat is safe betsy what's with all these sour faces i don't like sour faces at me park you know ah hi there captain zaney you see this monkey's too short to ride the turbo python 3000. too short [Music] he's not too short monkeys don't grow very big that's why we have the you must be this tall if you're a monkey side you can ride george and i'm coming with you but first give me all your licorice [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] you
