Hey, ladies! Watcha up to? Wait a second, isn’t it cleaning day? Well, technically you guys are cleaning, right? If you want to know the way around your most annoying cleaning chores, get a load of these genius, lazy cleaning hacks! Alright, time to buckle down and study for that test next week. 20 minutes? Ugh, I totally forgot I made plans with Sophia! Step number one, shower! Hey, no peeking! Why isn’t any water coming out? Look at all that mineral build-up. So gross. Now what am I gonna do? Hey, didn’t Mrs. Applebee talk about vinegar working as a cleaning agent in chemistry class last week? Yep, she poured the vinegar into that beaker of, well, something, and it bubbled and stuff. Think that’ll work today? To get rid of crusty calcium buildup on your showered or faucet, just pour a plastic bag full with vinegar and secure it in place with some rubber bands. See? It’s working already! After just five minutes, your shower head should be working as good as new. Ta-da! Ah, nothing like a hot shower, am I right? Don’t be too long though! You’ve got plans, remember? Now that’s the face of someone who just went on a shopping spree. So, what’d you get? Aren’t these tennies just darling? They’re perfect for school! And these adorable things are great fortnights out with the girls. And they were on sale, can you believe it? Yay! But neither of those pairs compare to the most beautiful shoes of all. Are you sure we’re ready for this, Sophia? Introducing the gorgeous, one of a kind pink, satin heeled shoes! They were the last pair in the store! Ah, everyone is going to be so jealous! I can’t wait to wear them around town! Sophia? Look at all my beautiful shoes! Why did you buy so many shoes? Where on earth are you going to put them all? SOPHIA! What, I’ll figure it out! Well, for one thing, don’t throw out these boxes, they may come in handy. If you have a bunch of shoe boxes lying around and shoes to be put away, you’ll love this hack! Take a shoe box lid and place it open side up. Then place the corresponding box upright inside of it like this. Once you place the shoes inside, start stacking the boxes on each other like so. Now you can see all your gorgeous footwear instead of cramming them into a dark closet. Well done, girls! Yes! It’s the best part of the day! Lunchtime! And boy does this smell good. Wow, Sophia, you’ve got quite the appetite, don’t you? Ok, all done. I’m so full. Well, I’d better clean this mess up and get back to work. Yikes! Oh man, that’s a lot of dishes you’ve got piled up there, Sophia. The endless hours of scraping and scrubbing. It’s tiring just thinking about it! Ugh, I definitely don’t want to get stuck doing all that. If only there was a way to get around having to wash all these dishes. Hey, maybe there is! Have a rubber glove laying around like this one? With a hot glue gun, pour some glue onto the fingers like this and stick cut strips of a coarse sponge onto them. You can do this to all five fingers. Make sure the sponge is the right size for each finger. Once the fingers are done, put some glue onto the palm of the glove. It’s best to squeeze out the glue in the shape of a Z. Them place a circular sponge on top of the glue. Once it’s all dry, you’re ready to go! With a handy glove like this one, washing dishes is a total breeze. Ready? Simply squeeze out some soap onto the damp gloves and get scrubbing! Without having to hold a sponge, washing plates is way easier on your wrists and arms. And before you know it, you’ll be all done! See, that wasn’t too bad, was it? One of the beat things about a lazy afternoon is well, being lazy! And being super silly, of course. Woah! Careful with your snacking there, Sophia. What, did you run out of plates or something? And enter! woah, huh? What’s all this? Shoot, I got crumbs all over my keyboard! Bella! A little help? haha! You’re such a slob! I am not! Ugh, you’re mean! Okay, you know what? Hand over that slime for a minute, would ya? To clean up hard-to-reach crumbs, try putting something sticky over them like this goo. As it spreads around, it picks up every crumb in its path without you doing anything at all. And when you’re ready, pick the goo up, crumbs and all. And if you have any spare pieces around, simply stick the goo on top of them for easy pick-up. Ooh! You missed a spot! Yeah, right there! Wow, watching this is oddly satisfying, isn’t it? Watcha doing over there? Here’s your slime back, Bella! Woah! It’s covered in crumbs! Ew! You ruined my slime, Sophia! For many girls, getting ready for the day is a meditative ritual. Don’t forget the hairspray! Perfect! Huh? Looks like that metal can left rust stains on your counter. Ugh, why are these stains so stubborn? Man, I just cleaned the bathroom for crying out loud! Nope, that stuff’s not going anywhere. What am I going to do? Oh hey, Bella! Just gotta put my nail polish away. If only I could cover up this rust… Could nail polish work? Let’s try it out, shall we? First take some rubbing alcohol and put it onto a cotton swab. Then rub the rust off the can with it. Once you’re through doing that, take clear nail polish and paint the bottom ring of the can. Don’t be afraid to use plenty of polish. Now when you put cans down in your bathroom, they won’t leave those nasty rust stains. Finally, you can do your hair without a worry in the world! Let’s see, what do I feel like wearing today? Yes! This shirt is perfect! This color orange is sure to turn heads. Now onto the shoes. This is a toughie. Sneakers it is! Ooh, those things are really dirty, girl! Huh? How did I not notice how dirty these got? Ugh, my favorite shoes are ruined, aren’t they? Or are they? I have a brilliant idea! Ooh! Grab that toothpaste and toothbrush! Have a dirty pair of shoes you thought were ruined? Take a tube of toothpaste and put a handsome amount of it onto the dirty part of your shoe like this. Yep! Now, using your toothbrush — a separate one that you never use in your mouth, of course — scrub the toothpaste into the shoe. Really get in there! Once you’re done scrubbing, wipe it all away with a damp cloth or wet wipe. Wow! These puppies look good as new! Alright, it’s time to get going, and in style, of course.
