Gear Review: Maglula UpLULA Magazine Speed Loader

hey everybody welcome to Sunday gear review here on active self-protection extra you get to kind of hang out with me and the back corner of my office today I could have a bunch of stuff going where are we normally film and do the recording so you're hanging out here with me this is how my office is actually normally set up and today I have a recommendation for you a little gear review something I literally use every time I go to the range I use this all the time it is one of the best 30 bucks that I have ever spent in my life it is a mag Lulla Lulla big tex outdoors has holsters accessories optics and other parts that you need as a self defender I'm one of his customers and I recommend him highly check out the page on our website with our favorite deals so don't you be like John what the heck is that they introduced these guys at shot show like I don't know six years ago and the first one that I had they gave me at shop show was really cool they are an Israeli company they're out of Tel Aviv even and this is a very cool patented magazine loader and it'll load really any single or double stack magazine for pistols and they also have them for rifles and all that stuff but I shoot a lot of pistol you guys know that I think I put about 25,000 rounds downrange last year so far this year about 2,000 you haven't shot quite as much as I have in years past and yeah I read last year at least and but I love this stupid thing so let me show you kind of how I do all that and why but really kind of what it is and the reason that it's unique is it's got this little hinge so it's got this little hinge thing this is particularly good and I know sometimes people say you know wow if you had you know man songs you'd be okay and and alright whatever I mean if you want to make fun of me I get it but what really this helps people is it number one saves your thumbs if you are gonna be shooting all day if you're at a high round count class you're shooting five hundred rounds in a day for three or four days or whatever man this will save your thumbs secondly for people with arthritic hands this is really good for you know they if they can't push down or they don't have quite the hand strength to load those last couple in the magazine this is really really good and when you should a bunch like I do man I'd like to load up a ton of magazines you mean you guys know like bagful of HK mags and I'm actually given several away to friends I just ordered ten of the new 17 rounders I have a 17 rounder in my gun right now they work great by the way but I like to load these suckers up before I go to the range then that way I get to go to the range and shoot not go to the range and load magazines that's just me I like to have a lot of magazines loaded and of course you guys know I'm loading them with Mac tech so I buy this stuff by the case is what I tend to do and I you know somebody's gonna say John you don't buy by the case this is a you know they send it to you for free it's actually not true they're a sponsor of the channel and they pay me in ammo is how that works I get a 1099 at the end of the airport and pay taxes on it so it's not really they send it for free but I just take them all out of the box they ship them in the 50 round boxes 20 of those and I take them and put them in there so that I can load quickly now normally of course what we would do in that point is you know I mean you guys know if you've shot anything at all what you generally do is you you put that the round in the top there push down and push back and that's generally what you do there is you push the top one down and you push the second one in so I'm taking my for me my left thumb right now pushing that down then pushing the other one in with this thumb and pushing down which is great for the first couple hundred rounds and if you're not going to shoot a ton well then that's not a big deal but if you've got thumb strength issues or if you're shooting a whole bunch like I am or whatever take this down and show you kind of how this works this makes it so dang much easier so all I do here is I line up this feed ramp here is used and what what you're really gonna do is is you are going to line up that feed ramp and see if I can get this on camera correctly and if you put the magazine inside the sucker okay fine now what you're gonna do is as you were going to smoosh push now that pushes this ramp then pushes that magazine down so then you load another round and you let go hey now it loads another round cool you just do that two magazines done now that I've showed it to you a little bit up close this is how I kind of actually good so you turn it the right way I push I stick around in I go push stick around and go push stick around and go easy-peasy well it's got one morning I'm gonna leave that one empty that would be silly right so this is a really simple little item but man I can't imagine my bag without it honestly you know I'm able to get magazines full quickly so number one I can get a magazine full much more quickly so I can do more shooting and less loading I you know when especially if you're spending for range time especially if you're spending you know 15 20 $25 an hour to go to the range you don't I spend half that time loading magazines you want to get back to shooting so I use this sucker go it's most pushed most push push push and get back to shooting more quickly and I don't have any relationship with Magnum EULA at all now if you were paying attention there was actually a news story not long ago these guys sued Amazon and the reason for that is they felt like Amazon was allowing a bunch of fakes to exist on their website and a bunch of counterfeit products so if you go in search mag Lula on Amazon you're not gonna find this it doesn't exist instead though here's a cool thing you guys know Big Tex outdoors sponsors these Sunday gear reviews we're grateful to them the guy can his team are amazing and guess what they that they walk away I take him a class and introduce him to people and then they go oh man can I borrow your your Lula yeah sure go ahead and then it walks away and so I know friends who buy them in all kinds of goofy colors so that they don't walk away but I recommend this guy's I think it's a really good product simple review today but this is a kind of thing that makes your shooting experience
