Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
I may have a lead on the zoo level. In the spaceship sector three level, one of the screens shows zoo level access and there is code written. Good luck!
Have you tried to convert the mp3 file into a png or something like that to maybe get a secret QR code like you did in that doki doki video
Save the Animals immediately reminded me of GDQ and the donation goal to save/kill the animals. Maybe it has a connection there. Maybe a speed run that has those sounds in it? Possibly a stretch because how would you even determine which run, but it's just a thought.
An you try playing the xylaphone keys in the mp3 on the bone xylaphone? Maybe separate that sequence out of the animal noises so you can see what keys are being pressed...
"Save the animals". Rather than zoo animals, could this be referring to the animals from the gang that die in the police chase level?
I can write down the notes which are being played in that mp3. The only problem is that a note can be called two ways: e.g. dis is equivalent to es. Anyway, there are in total 25 notes being played. According to the drums rhythm on the background, the measure is 3/4. That means we can divide all notes in four groups. here is the sequence:
F es g as b c
E gis dis fis ais h
Des es f ges b des es
A h e gis h a
But again, each note name can be swapped for alternate one. And also, these names are European, in US notes are called e-flat, d-sharp etc.
I’m not sure if that’s what is decoded there, but since I can tell you what those notes are, why not to give it a try :)
Could "Save the Animals" potentially be a Metroid reference? Save the animals/Kill the animals comes up all the time in Metroid speedrunning and is often a donation category at events like GDQ
Hey guys I'm a musician and I just heard the savetheanimals mp3. Here's my transcription of the notes. The problem with musical notation is that one note can be called C# or Db and it would be the same sound, roughly speaking. So I chose to only use flats because I don't know how sharps (#) could be used on a code Here's the notes F Eb G Ab Bb C E Ab Eb Gb Bb B Db Eb F Gb Bb Db Eb B E Ab B A
Just a thought that I have no way/time to test out: do the sounds in the clip represent something on the black/yellow image? Like by tracing a line between the animals in the image based on when they make a sound in the clip it might draw another piece of the puzzle.
Fun ARG, wish I could take a more active part :)
