to chef the bread in which God has prepared for us for all of us to break and receive it's the bread of life the Lord Jesus Christ who was also that word of God we honor the holy spirit who has invited your family and you my family and myself to come and fellowship - Camille - sup my wife and myself is our job to serve what God Himself has prepared for all of us to receive so when Jesus name without any further ado let's eat this is Galatians chapter 2 beginning at verse 1 then 14 years later after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas and not took Titus with me also so if we remember in our last recording Paul was kind of given his his resume if you will - to the Church of Galatia because some someone has come and somewhat eroded the teachings of Paul to the Galatians and if Paul is giving his resume it means that it's it was in question his his credentials were in question so Paul is taking it upon himself to let them know where he's come from and where he's trying to take them if you will and man so he's given them his whereabouts and his actions for the years prior so he goes when he starts out by 714 years after I went up again to Jerusalem Jerusalem mr. it's the home if he will done that I would me personally its headquarters of the faith the headquarters of the faith if you will this is my personal explanation of it so it's like you have to go to Jerusalem where the home where the council sits if you will amen so he says 14 years later I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas and I took Titus with me also and I went up by revelation meaning the Holy Spirit led him to go to Jerusalem at this time and and this is this is powerful because there wasn't until 14 years later that the Holy Ghost says I need you to go to Jerusalem and this is pretty good this is good let's let's read this so I went up to Jerusalem about revelation and I communicated unto them the gospel which I preached among the Gentiles but privately to them which were of reputation lest by any means I should run or had run in vain now what is he saying here now Paul Paul's calling was to bring the Gentiles into the faith okay and so he's acted in for the last 14 years as as we're reading this his last 14 years he's acted independently of the council in Jerusalem he's acted independently now the Holy Spirit gives him an unction as to go to Jerusalem and to or enter stand before the council not that he's being charged with anything but stand before the council kind of let them know what you've been doing and so Paul being obedient goes to Jerusalem to present to them his works his findings for this last fourteen years if he won't for at least for the time frame that he specifies and what he's doing is he's comparing his his notes or his his uh he's comparing his calling to others if you will he is comparing his actions to others because you got to understand Christianity is starting to take off and you have two different sides of Christianity that's moving forward you have the the witnesses to those of the circumcision and then the witnessing to those of those those are not circumcised so Jewish Christians versus Gentile Christians okay and so Paul is now bringing the Gentiles into the faith now you got to understand what prior to this was been going on as Christianity has been taking off it's the Jewish Christians it's the Jews who has converted into Christianity that that has this forefront in it but Paul is now bringin Gentiles people that are not Jewish bringing them into the faith as well so now Paul goes to address his actions to the to the to the council which is in Jerusalem and so that's what's going on here and he's an when he says too lest you know he wants to know that he hasn't been running in vain he lets them know when he gets to Jerusalem he lets them know that hey I haven't been led by men I believe I by Christ Himself Christ Himself has appointed me and he's given me this gospel to preach to the Gentiles and as Paul expounds on his actions to the council he finds that the council is in agreeance with them and they the council is persuaded that yet Paul himself was called by Jesus Christ and he is doing a righteous thing his in other words his gospel lined up with there see and so Paul was making sure that that his practice for his efforts was not in vain he was going not that he needed a confirmation from them but basically it seems that Paul was going to make sure that he wasn't working against them amen and and that's that's pretty powerful there and so he's letting Galatians know this right he's letting goodnight now this gets pretty interesting so let me shut up and get out of the way of the scripture cuz this gets this gets real interesting he goes on to say he's and and I reread verse two so we can keep keep going with the flow here he says I went up by revelation and communicated unto them of the gospel which I preached him on the Gentiles but privately to them which were of reputation those council members those high level council members if you will those by reputation those who he needed to talk to those who were shot-callers if you will okay he said let's by any means I should run or hadn't run in vain that I've been doing things wrong you know so I needed to confer with them to make sure that we're all on the same page okay he says but now now watch this because this is the gist of this whole letter to Galatia to the Galatians look at what he says here in verse three but neither titus who was with me being a greek was compelled to be circumcised what's going on why is he saying this because this is powerful remember the whole reason that paul is speaking to the church of Galatia is because some some members some of some people have come in there and tried to tell them that okay look this this this christianity that y'all have been hearing about it's really been about the Jews but we are willing to make an exception and allow the Gentiles become to to allow a membership into this thing if you will and this is just me you know in slang if you will in layman terms some surmise enos so it's like somebody has come to Galatia to the Galatians and tells them that you know again this membership that you are seeking to have has been exclusively for Jews but we're willing to make an exception for you too that you can you know that you can come in and be a part of our Brotherhood with the exception of you being circumcised so that you can you know that's your way of honoring the Mosaic law so that you can come we're willing to allow you to be a part of the Brotherhood and that's a big deal because we're we're taking down we're compromising to allow you to become a part of the faith and in doing so our requirements to you is that you would become circumcised in your observations of the mosaic laws and then if you come and and you you become circumcised and you you observe our laws and you operate by works then then you've reached the threshold of the requirement for you to be a part of the Brotherhood so this is what Paul is contending with now let me tell you how widespread now that you understand this letter let me tell you how widespread it is Paul tells you the extent of how widespread this notion is because soon as he gets to Jerusalem somebody is trying to compel Titus who is a Greek to become circumcised this is how widespread this thing is someone is trying to compel Titus who was traveling with Paul to become circumcised so this lets you know how widespread this false doctrine is and it's a doctrine of bondage okay and so Paul this this thing is written for a reason here so so that you can understand this let's continue because this is some heavy stuff here so he says but neither titus who was with me being a greek was compelled to be circumcised and that's because and this is what the whole problem is verse 4 that's because false brethren unawares brought in who came in secretly that word privately as secretly came secretly to spy out our Liberty which we have in Christ Jesus that they might bring us into bondage now stop the presses because we just found out that through Christ Jesus we have Liberty and it's when you understand the depth of that it makes your eyes will up with tear it's because this is a testament to God's love no one could uphold the the law there is it wasn't possible for them to uphold the law and it was based on works and not faith and so to know that a Gentile can come into the faith and and be exactly what it is faith not that you are working by works to be justified that were justified to be safe it's not the works that allows you to be saved it's your faith it's your faith and that's the Liberty that's being spoken about it's we're not we have freedom in Christ Jesus to where we don't have to learn memorizing observe all of these laws were free from the law the responsibility that we have is that we don't use our our Liberty as a cloak of maliciousness we have to make sure that we don't be galloping around here on the good ship lollipop is a sweet trip to the candy shop well we have to make sure that we're not happy-go-lucky doing everything that we want to do like we're not saved and then when somebody called us out we'll pull up our card I'm saved through Christ Jesus you know I have Liberty and Christ to do what I want that's not how this thing works you are free from the law but you are not free to sin he didn't save you to be you got to understand something when you are liberated you are free from sin and you are free from the law but he did not save you to be in the bondage to be in bondage of anything and that that's what you have to understand we are only servants to Christ we are not servants to the law and we are not servants to sin do you understand that and that's powerful that's powerful for you to understand and seumas Paul gets to Jerusalem somebody is already trying to put chains on them but and you know what they not trying to do that to Paul because Paul was already Jewish they're trying to put bond that they're trying to put chains on Titus who was Greek they're trying to say that if you want to come in to the Brotherhood we will give you admission but the requirements or initiation is circumcision because once you compromise to one facet you're you're under the law now if you adhere to one facet of the law you are under the whole law amen but because of our faith in Christ Jesus because we know what he's done for us and continues to do for us as our high priest in heaven we we have power over sin and we're mindful nobody needs to tell us you know - don't kill don't steal you know they don't nobody has to break down the Ten Commandments for us because God has inscribed his word and into our hearts like you write on the tablet and because he has a spirit inside of us and we have faith in God that's counted to us as righteousness and because we have faith in God and we love him we're mindful not to go do these things it's like being married you're Mary your husband your wives you know you don't go and do things because they tell you not to go into them you just know what not to do because you know how it affects your marriage your relationship and how it affects your spouse so you just don't do those things right that's the love that we have that's the righteousness that's the grace that we have through Christ Jesus it's the Liberty we don't have to walk around reading our wedding vows every day you know to be in practice of it it's that it's already in our hearts and we act according well that's the relationship that we have with God and it's because of the Lord Jesus Christ therefore he don't have to put the shackles of the law upon us the law was only meant to act up to the law was to expose your sin and it was only supposed to be that way until Jesus came but once Jesus came he carried us away from that the law led us to the Lord Jesus Christ the law showed us where we were wrong at and showed us how we needed Christ once we had understood how broken we were complements of the law once the law showed us how broken we were Christ came and fixed us up amen so it's it's real powerful this letter that he writes to the Galatians and then it's again you get a chance to see how extensive the perversion was soon as they get to Jerusalem you know the you got people coming on out and trying to compel a conversion to their way of doing things so I digress let's continue on with this and because of false brethren unawares brought in who came in privily to spy out our Liberty that we have in Christ Jesus that they might bring to us into bondage to whom we gave place by subjection no not for an hour that the truth of the gospel might continue with us he didn't sir come he did no matter what pressure they were under they they were and they brought out the big guns to try to persuade a Titus to do this Titus wouldn't take down this powerful book here cousin let you know why he needed to send the letter to the Galatians but of these who seem to be somewhat whatsoever they were and maketh and maketh no matter to me God accepts no man's for they who seem to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me he said so although I go there to confide with them to confer with them I should say although I go there to confer with them and these were supposed to be leaders and bigwigs and shot-callers they didn't add anything to me that would have helped me to to to go forth in what I'm doing they didn't get in my way either and he says you know I call them they're supposed to be important but he says I don't get caught up in titles this is a powerful thing here powerful let's start out reading verse six again but of these who seem to be somewhat whatsoever they were if maketh no matter to me he don't get caught up in titles he says they supposed to be shop callers they supposed to be bigwigs you know whatever the titles are I don't get caught up in that you know it maketh no matter to me see because God has no respecter of persons you know God to look at one person in the same way you look at another person you know and if God don't differentiate between the two you know who am I to do to go against that you know if that person has that title I honor the title I honor them in their calling but I'm not bowing down and kissing the hand I just understand who they are according to their title but a lot of people I carried away off of titles you know when people go to to various schools they want to you know and they want that word they worked hard to get that PhD behind her name and they want to be addressed as such and and and that's okay you know - more power to you but you you when you died that's you know this I'm not gonna have too much on this because this might be sensitive to some people but we give too much credit and too much credit to where that much credit is not due and Paul is not trying to fall victim to that amen so anyway let me get out of the way and go on with the scripture so Paul said well we didn't let them persuade we didn't let them compel not one hour we didn't give them a chance so he said that those who we talked to they didn't persuade that they didn't add or take away anything to was in our calling okay he says in conference they added nothing to me but contrariwise when they saw the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me as the gospel of the circumcision was committed unto unto Peter for he that wealth effectually in Peter to the Apostleship of the circumcision the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles so what he's saying here is they when he actually went to go speak to the council in Jerusalem the council in Jerusalem and he presented his case to them not that he was charged with anything but he was led of the Spirit to go confer with him and when he went when he when he spoke with them and he expounded unto them his calling and and the way he's been teaching the those that are uncircumcised meaning the Gentiles they were astounded because they saw how his teaching matched the teaching of Peter who was teaching those of the circumcision now when it says Peter is teaching those of the circumcision it means that those that were once under the law of Moses they now have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior they are Jewish Christians they call them the circumcision if you will so Peter had the Ministry of teaching those that were not were Jewish who have now converted to being Jewish Christians and when the council seen how Paul's teaching lined up with Peters teaching they were astounded and they glorify God that's what's going on here in man cuz they seem that the same power that worked in Peter is also working in Paul to minister to the Gentiles basically God is working to try to bring everyone together amen powerful powerful powerful now and when Cephas and John who seemed to be pillars leaders perceived the grace that was given unto me they gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship that we should go unto the heathen the unsaved the Gentiles I God and they end unto the circumcision so once Paul presented the case to him they gave him the right hand of fellowship because remember his reputation was light he was pretty bad Paul we've talked about that in our last broadcast and so once they got a chance to see him face to face to meet with him in and he expounded upon his calling and the success he's had they seemed that that spirit that was working through him is the same spirit that was working through Peter they were astounded they welcomed him into the faith a man concedes they see that God was bringing the Gentiles in see Peter ministry was about converting the Jews and bringing them into Christianity but now they get a chance to see that God was working on the other side also bringing the Gentiles into Christianity and when they saw the two platforms move in parallel in the cenotes directionally and how compatible they were you get a chance to see the big picture amen only they would that we should remember the poor the same which also I was forward to do the same that I was like man that's it's it when he said I was forward to do is like man are you are you kidding that's what I want to do I'm eager to do it you know that's he was saying the same that I was excited about doing I'm forward to do amen so there was like look why is you going and you begin to minister to the Gentiles remember those that are destitute those that have not just if you can be of the help to them be mindful of them and he was like are you kidding that's something that I'm eager to do I make that I make that my number one thing that I look for is to try to be a blessing to those that are in need and then now this gets interesting this dis I told you chapter two was really just a powerful chapter look at what this says here but when Peter was come to Antioch I withstood him to the face because he was to be blamed so he's saying that he blasted Peter in public because of Peters conduct he took issue with Peter okay so he goes on to say for before that certain came from James he did eat with the Gentiles but when they were come he would drew and separated himself fearing them which were of the circumcision so when prior to James and you know these were big leagues these were big leagues prior to James and others maybe James John Cephas you know prior to others coming Peter was frightened izing with the Gentiles eating with them you know I mean if you think about it Peter being Jewish there were certain meats and certain foods that they weren't allowed to eat but now because of the faith high God hold your place there hold your place hold your hold your place here go with me to Acts let's take a look at Acts chapter 10 Acts chapter 10 Acts chapter 10 look at what this says beginning at verse 1 there was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius a Centurion of the band called the Italian the Italian band a devout man and one that feared God with all his house which gave much alms to people and prayed to God always this was a a Roman soldier if you will a Gentile a Roman soldier he saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming coming in to him and saying unto him Cornelius and when he looked on him he was afraid and said what is it Lord and he said unto Him vite prayers and dynamic um up for a memorial before God so God was God was mindful of the Gentiles even then right just all God his history of being mindful of the Gentiles we look at a rehab you know and God was mindful of her then the inche who was a Gentile now look at what this says there when he looked on in me was afraid and said what is the Lord and he said until that prayers and dine arms are come up for a memorial before the Lord and now send men to Joppa and call for one Simon whose surname is Peter he lodges with he lodges with one Simon a Tanner whose house is by the seaside he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do and when the angel which which spake unto Cornelius was departed he called two of his household servants a devout soldier of them that ant that waited on him continually and when he had declared all things unto them they depart of - they departed or I'm sorry he sent them to Joppa now this is really what we want to get to verse 9 on the moral as they went on their journey and drew nigh unto the city Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour and became very hungry and would have eaten while they made ready he fell into a trance and he saw heaven open and certain vessels descended upon him as it had been a great sheet in it well at four corners and let down on the earth wherein were all men are a four-foot beasts of the earth Wow beasts and creeping things and fowls of the air and there came a voice to him saying rise Peter kill and eat kill and eat but Peter said not so Lord for I've never eaten anything that is common or unclean and the voice spake unto him again the second time what God has clans call that call not thou common this was done thrice and the vessel was received up again into heaven now Peter had a Peter had a vision and what he saw was a sheet coming down from heaven and upon the sheet there were all kind of wild beasts and there was insects on the sheet and then Peter was hungry and so the Lord told him to eat and the one thing Peter said is not so Lord I've never and I never will eat anything uncommon you know because the Jewish have a certain custom they don't eat certain foods they don't eat certain meats but then God said what I have a I put it best at what God said what God has cleanse called down not common so even though you see it and and and you think I won't eat it God Himself told you to eat because he cleansed it he made it so that you could eat it okay now what now to finish that up there were two certain to surmise it what what God was doing is he was preparing Peter to go over to the to the Gentiles to meet with Cornelius who was a Gentile he was who was considered uncommon he wasn't Jewish and to let him into the faith Peter was the one to administer the gospel to Cornelius and in order to get Peter ready to administer this gospel God gave him a vision about being able to take in those things that work that were not common foods for Jewish people to eat that's how God was trying to prepare Peter spiritually now what does that have to do with Galatians what we were just reading Peter was sitting with the Gentiles eating those things that were uncommon for Jews okay so you can see where that started from he started getting that understanding from God in this vision to where Peter would he's never crossed that threshold to eat anything that in common and God said what I'll cleanse call it not common because it's edible for you to be able to eat so now Peter is able to sit with the Gentiles and he is able to eat high but something happens here when Peter was come to Antioch I withstood him to his face because he was to be blamed for before that certain man came from James he did eat with the Gentiles meaning he those things that were uncommon for Jewish people to eat because he was Jewish but yet because of his his vision God had conditioned him he's now able to transition and eat with everything until certain people came with clout okay from the circumcision they came with clout he would drew and when they got there Peter began to withdraw and he separated himself fearing them which were of the circumcision now all of a sudden Peter goes back to the thing that that he went to before his vision going back to those things that were common and forsaking those things that were uncommon even though God has sanctified him God sanctified the Gentiles in their faith to be a believers to to worship him through Jesus Christ God sanctified them and and so therefore it was okay for Peter to be able to eat but then the pressure comes all of a sudden he can't hang with him no more and and you know and and so Paul had to put him on blast to let him know you that's not right and when you're saved especially when you come out from the world and you come in to the faith and you're happy you're you're excited what God has done for you and what God has done to you and how he's operating inside but there's always some kind of test to where you have to come around someone somewhere someday and they're going to examine you and you have to they're they've heard that you've been saved and and they note they know the foe one-one on you they know all the dirt they know everything somehow you feel like you got to live up to their opinion about you and you demean the faith that you have Liberty and see when you have Liberty in Christ you don't have to live up to the opinion and what nobody has about you your walk is personal between you and God as a matter of fact people are supposed to see the overwhelming love about you and supposed to be able to identify who you belong to because of the way you walk in love and you demonstrate love and you pour out love you exude love people see that innate they know that there's something about you they know who's your daddy they know who you belong to right but then all of a sudden you clam up when you get to when you get around somebody that that remember you some money used to run with somebody you did wrong to somebody some somebody you was hanging out together doing wrong against other people with this person and all of a sudden you can't be yourself around you can't be the new you and and and you clam up and you can get a little uncomfortable maybe it's maybe you've gotten saved and your wife hasn't been saved maybe you gotten saved and your husband hasn't been saved something somebody somewhere sometime comes across and all of a sudden is huh it's almost like you're tested to see if you're going to continue to walk with God regardless of who's around and all of a sudden you begin to fit that test if you can't to fail that test it is what it is right so Peter gets called out because he's hanging with the Gentiles eating what they eaten kicking it hard their boys your family all of a sudden some people some titleholders come on up in there you know shot-callers and they're part of the circumcision okay they're they're part of the the Jewish the Jewish Christianity's but they're they converted from the Jewish faith okay and but they're still seeming to be holding on to some of the traditions of the Mosaic law and as soon as they come in Peter withdraws from the Gentiles and begin to go over towards these I wouldn't call them Christian Jews but they still holding on to the Jewish traditions Peter begins to go over there and start walking according to the old customs okay he got placed on blast right verse 13 and other Jews disassembled likewise with him in so much that Barnabas also was carried away with the hypocrisy dissimulation the lack of love hypocrisy Barnabas was taken aback by their hypocrisy you know Peter went when when Peter guard dropped and he clammed up we're not knitting in that in this case his guard got his guard rose up on him and he clammed up and he end up siding with those in the traditional sense of their faith he became because people were following him he began to lead other Jews back to the traditional customs because of you know because he took down if you will he felt the tests and he began to go back right and so when Paul sees this Paul blasted him okay because he also led others back across the table and and that end up isolating the Gentiles the Gentiles were suppose we're supposed to be part of the family because we're all up under one faith now whether you Jews wonder you whether you convert it from a Jew to a Jewish Christian you're a Gentile and you're Christian now we are all up under one faith but when these guys come in they separated the face you know and and made it seem like they hold a superior view of faith and the Gentiles became isolated and Peter right there with those ones isolating the Gentiles now verse 14 when I saw that they walked down there brightly according to the truth of the gospel I said unto Peter before them all if thou being a jew live it's after the manner of the gentiles and not after the jews why compel us all the Gentiles to live to live as do the jews live if you've been a Jew living after the manner of the Gentiles all of a sudden these shot-caller come in there now why would you want to try to teach the Gentiles how to live as though the Jews live why would you try to interest Institute that you've why would you try to put the Gentiles in bondage you know when you've been living free all this time with them you've been living free according to the Liberty that we have in Christ Jesus all of a sudden when these shot-callers come in you forsake your Liberty and now those that are lead or live those that are free you trying to put them in Chains you're trying to tell them that they need to convert to the Jewish faith you what are you doing Peter so Paul and and here's what I love about what Paul did go hold your place there and go with me to to Titus I'm not not Titus go with me to Timothy Timothy chapter 1 verse 5 and Evert Timothy I'm sorry let me get it together first go with me to 1st Timothy chapter 5 verse 20 Timothy chapter 5 verse 20 first Timothy chapter 5 verse 20 look at what this says well let's start at 17 just so you'll have the context of the of the of the verse that we're reading Timothy first Timothy chapter 5 beginning at verse 17 let the elders that rule we'll be counted worthy of a double honor especially they who labor in the word and doctrine for the scripture saith thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn and the labourer is worthy of his reward I love that verse because people have a problem with what pastors receiving any kind of financial help or find a monetary reward the scripture says that you don't hold back the reward of a man of God anybody that's a servant of God you take care of them because they're on the Lord's payroll amen he goes on to say here against an elder receive not the accusation but before two or three witnesses them that sin this is the verse that we that we wanted to get to them that sin rebuked before all that others also may fear now don't go talking about somebody behind their back because you don't like their conduct it's if you got a problem with it let them know and then it that that context of the verse is talking to elders how to chastise people in front of other people so that you can you can get everybody on the same page you can institute some fear to let folk know that if you mess up you're gonna be called out that's kind of what what Paul did to Peter in front of everybody he called him out to let him know dude that was wrong you don't talk about people behind their back you go and you let them know you know and squash it like that you know and you you you you make it be known you don't talk about them behind their back now as after Paulette and know Paul win and let other people know because why whether the scriptures say that that you can institute fear in others and this is what what what what Paul is doing to the Galatians I'll let Paul know that it was wrong you know and so other so y'all would know what not to do you can't be two-sided about this thing you have to walk this straight path and you can't straight to the left or to the right because if you do you should be called out and this is God's Way of keeping us God calling us out for our actions is God's one is one of God's ways of keeping us that we don't continue to stray too far if God never called us out if he never allowed us to be called out if he never allowed us to be chastised we would fall back to the world in which he delivered us from and wouldn't come back but he chasing us when he see us fall out of line and that was part of that chastening there amen now my wife and I was talking about this and she says something that I thought was hugely profound and it was worthy for me to kind of bring it up here alright oh and she made that she made a reference about ancestry.com and it kind of behooves us to talk about this how meaning and here's what she said how many people search ancestry.com you know you got an account there and you do some research and you find out that you have a Jewish bloodline in you right and all of a sudden you find out and it should be a laughing matter but I would call it out like Paul did you find you a Christian you find out you got a Jewish bloodline you find out exists yo your great uncle your great uncle whom you know no great-great uncle whose daddy was this and that come to find out y'all come from the tribe one of the tribes that one of the twelve tribes of Israel as soon as you find out all of a sudden you go in and in and living after the manner of the you know of Israel you know you you you sorry what you gonna slaughter some sheep now you know what's going on I mean you Christian and you find out that you have some Jewish bloodline in you and all of a sudden you go and honour in and observe in the ways of the mosaic longs forsaking your Liberty that you had in Christ Jesus and that's and and that's kind of what you see here with Peter once those once the big shots come about Peter forsake his liberty in Christ and he goes and immediately runs into bondage and then he means other ends into bondage as well and God would not have that so he called him out through through through the Apostle Paul but many many people do that now you go through the ancestry dot-com and you figure out you got Jewish blood line and you forsake your liberty in Christ don't do that Christ paid the price he redeemed you so that you wouldn't be in bondage so that you would be free and if you find out that you do have Jewish bloodline and you will praise God but you know you don't leave the Liberty that you have in Christ Jesus and to go back to performing works because we are saved by grace through faith not of works list lest any man could boast we're not saved by the works your observance of the law is strictly your works it sure works you're not saved by that the law was not meant to justify you the law was only meant to show you what your sins are the law lets us see that we need the Lord Jesus Christ the law was never meant to justify you meaning to save you now when all of a sudden you find out you're Jewish and you trying to go get like you're gonna get closer to God you're getting further to God when you when you decide to go and go and find yourself in the mosaic walls you're getting further from God now it's a blessing that they reveal to you what the bloodline is not saying that you're any lesser than someone that it this because you found out that you Jewish don't mean you're lesser in God's eyes if you were Gentile all of a sudden God loves me more because I'm Jewish salvation is still given to you I love my Jewish brothers and sisters I pray for them as I pray for my Gentile brothers and sisters I love them but I don't look at myself as Lord I know you'll love me more if if I have the tribe of if I come from the tribe of Judah I know you'll love me more I don't I'm just glad to be a that an adopted son of God people call people I'm called but I get emails all the time not all the time I get emails sometime from people that that says that an imposter you know you you Jewish you you you were black do you black you're a black Jew and let me tell you something I don't take argument with them I'm delighted if I yeah we read you know how we read from time to time the story about the one that left from the prodigal son how he left home and then when he realized he did wrong and he kind of found themselves her coming to him circumstances and been away from his dad and his family and he wanted to go back home and he chose to take responsibility and the one thing that he said is if he would just let me come back into his home and be a servant not a son but if he would allow me to serve to be a servant I would be happy with that cause even the servant sorry are well taken care of that's me that kind of person if the Lord would just allow me in and if if if I'm an adopted son that's just as good to me because I'm in the family of the kingdom I'm a citizen of the kingdom it's enough to me so it doesn't matter if if you're Jewish or not this gospel is preached to us as well to give us the right hand of fellowship into the faith and we we have an inheritance in the faith just like the Jews do amen so don't forsake your Liberty in Christ because you find out that you Jewish you knowing and you next thing you know you you observing stars and days and and all these other things and slaughtering sheeps and you don't got to do all that amen so I digress let's continue with this verse 14 but when I saw that they walked out uprightly according to the truth of the gospel I said unto Peter before them all if thou being a jew livers after the manner of gentiles and not as do the jews i compel us on the gentiles to live as do the jews who we who are jews by nature and not sinners of the gentiles and when i can't say that that verse was meant to be derogatory it's just that when you think of gentiles you think of sinners because they're not of the faith Gentiles have not been of the face so it was it was synonymous to to two-link sinners and Gentiles together so we who are Jews by nature and not sinners of the Gentiles knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law listen to that knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law you're not saved by works it's not your works that get you saved the way you observe the law you know you going through you don't want all the laws down and you say you go to your mindful okay I need to make sure I don't break this I don't break that I don't break that I don't break this I need observe this law this law this law and you think that that's going to save you you being legalistic because that's not what saves you it's your faith in Christ that saves you not your works but your faith now your faith compels you to do good under the righteousness of Jesus Christ remember I gave you the example when you when you're married you don't go around trying to recite your wedding vows every day so you can remember not to break them you just know that you don't do this and you don't do that because of the harm that it will cause in your relationship in your marriage and to the other person you just don't want to do that that's how that is well what we have with God through Christ Jesus we don't go around trying to recite our vows which which is the law we don't do that we don't recite that we just go around with the Bible evening guidance of the Holy Spirit not doing these things that would displease God we don't do those things that would cause a problem in our relationship that's because of our understanding of who we are and what Christ has done for us amen and it's not the law it's our faith amen so knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by the faith of Jesus Christ even we believe in Christ Jesus even we have believed in Christ Jesus that we might be justified by the faith of Christ and not by the works of the law for above the works of the law shall no flesh be justified you cannot be saved by your works I'll keep your place there and go with me to Luke chapter 18 go with me to Luke chapter 18 let's take a look at verse 18 Luke chapter 18 let's take a look at verse 18 a certain young ruler Aksum saying good master what shall I do to inherit eternal life and Jesus said unto him why callest thou me good nun as good that saved that save that save one that is God thou know'st was the commandments do not kill do not commit adultery do not steal do not bear false witness honor thy mother and I father and he said all these that kept from my youth then Jesus heard then Jesus heard these things now when Jesus heard these things he said unto him yet lack is thou one thing sell that thou hast and distribute unto the poor and thou shalt have treasure in heaven and come and follow me and when he heard this he was very sorrowful for he was very rich and when Jesus saw that he was very soft 'full he said how harly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God for it is easier for a camel to go through the I than for rich man to enter into the kingdom of God now here's what's interesting about this passage of Scripture when the guy it says what can I do to obtain eternal life the first thing jesus said to him is have you observed the law because the law is going to reveal what sin you have in you so Jesus says have you observed the law the guy says oh I've observed the law from my youth but if that was enough if that was enough Jesus wouldn't have added to it Jesus examined him and seeing what his shortcomings were and the one thing that Jesus said unto him take what you have sell it and come follow me and he couldn't do that jesus said that if you followed him that gets you eternal life the first thing he said is what about the law because the law reveals what's broken about you the law is not enough to save you it reveals what's broken about you okay that's what it does that's the job of the law so when when the scripture says thou shalt not kill thou should not steal the ant and if you have the desire to do those things that lets you know where you need help at for your weaknesses that's what the law lets you know but if the law was sufficient enough to save that that rich young ruler there wouldn't have been take what you have and sell it and come follow me that would have been that if the law was sufficient Jesus gave him what was sufficient and you can see he was not ready for it okay the law couldn't the the law couldn't save him only Jesus and he was required to follow after Jesus because it's faith in Christ that saves you this because you've observed the law and you prospered in major that's not enough to save you and that's the message that Paul is trying to convey to Galatia that's the that's the the message that's being conveyed to us to this day you can come and say that I've done good I've fed I fed the poor I've donated to to shelters food pantries our father to the fatherless you know I've been a big brother to those that needed big brothers I helped widows you can come with an extensive resume about your works but have you but do you have faith in Christ because those things aren't enough you can't be saved by your works you can only be saved by your faith in Christ and that that leads you to good works it's it's not your works that leaves you to be saved it's your faith in Christ that actually saves you and compels you to do good do you understand that without Christ there is no credit to be to him to be able to receive salvation so anyway let me get out of the where description we're actually running short on time here I don't think we're going to make it to chapter 4 chapter 3 here so let me finish up but if why we seek to be justified by Christ we ourselves are also found sinners therefore Christ is Christ therefore the mentor of the the minister of sin so let me reread that verse here but if while we seek to be justified by Christ we ourselves are also found sinners is therefore Christ the minister of sin god forbid for if I build again two things which I destroy I'm I it says I make myself a transgressor he says when you leave your Jewish faith and you come to Christianity because you're abandoning the law does that make you a sinner and if it makes you a sinner are you saying that Christ is a minister of sin and he says no God forbid he says however if I leave Christ and go back to to revitalize those things that I did under the law if I go back to revitalize that whole walk the whole observance of the law if I do that therein is the problem I become a transgressor again it's not me leaving the the law and coming to Christ it's me leaving Christ and going back to the law that makes me a transgressor okay to leave the law and to come into the Liberty see when you leave the law you're taking shackles off because in Christ there is no shackles you know but when you leave Christ you're putting the shackles back on okay there analyze the problem so then he goes on to say for I through the law and dead to the law that I might live unto Christ there it is I can't have Christ yeah I'm dead to the law because if I if I go and observe the law and I break it I walk in condemnation it's not meant for me to have the two with Christ I'm dead to the law without Christ I'm a servant to the law okay for I through the law and dead for I through the law am dead to the law that I might live unto God I am crucified with Christ nevertheless I live yet not i but Christ liveth in me and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith of the Son of God who loveth me and God gave himself and gave himself from excuse me he said so when I live my life I'm not living for my better good I'm living for the good of Christ Jesus who now lives in me I live for him now and because I live for him he lives in me that's the Liberty that I now have when when when I'm observing the law I'm doing it for myself but when I'm observing Christ I'm doing for him for the greater good because it's about him who saved me what the law is all about me with Christ it's about him and it's about what he's done for us all amen I do not frustrate the grace of God for if righteousness come by so he's saying I don't I don't know laughs I the grace of God for if righteousness comes by the law then Christ is dead in vain if God meant for righteousness to come by the law then there wouldn't have been no need of Christ Jesus that's the bottom line if it was meant for if it was meant for our observance to save us and God would never have allowed Christ Jesus you know to be born and to go through those things that he has gone through so we can actually stop right there and we'll pick up another recording of for Galatians chapter 3 amen eternal God we take this opportunity to thank you thank you for revealing for showing for making known unto us the workings of the kingdom of God and the wise plan that you've had from the beginning of time and even how you've implemented this timely I even have you intimate implemented the plan through the arrival of the Lord Jesus Christ father we say thank you for the master plan of salvation we say thank you for your love and your wisdom and thank you for allowing us to understand these things that we read and teach and declare we pray for those who have been saved whose lives have been changed and whose lives are being changed because you have drawn them into the love of Christ and has given them the light of the truth god we say thank you thank you for this word in this message I pray father that shackles have been taken off of people who have found themselves in bondage and that they would praise you for the Liberty that we all have in Christ Jesus God we say in Jesus name thank you for being mindful for being our God just as you have been to God and Father of the Jews you are God and father to the Gentiles and father for this we say thank you in Jesus name Amen go with me to Isaiah chapter 55 verses 6 & 7 Isaiah chapter 55 verses 6 & 7 it says seek ye the Lord while he may be found call ye upon him while he is near let the wicked forsake his ways and the unrighteous man his thoughts and let him return unto the Lord and He will have mercy upon him and to our God for he will abundantly pardon God has a time limit of how easy how easily and excessively available he is unto us and those that have not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior those that have not accepted that God the only way you're going to be able to have a relationship with God is through His Son Jesus Christ and God is saying that I'm not going to remain near why are you trying to make your mind up because while you're trying to make your mind up other people are committing they're already committing you're saying that I need this to be right and I need that to be right and then I'll come to the Lord God that's not how this thing works it doesn't work like that at all if you can get right of your own you would not need the Lord Jesus Christ you need Jesus the law shows you where you've been wrong Jesus is going to help fix what's broken about you okay so now instead of you saying well I'm going to make sure I'm going to fix this and fix that then I'll accept Jesus cuz I don't want to come to him like I am that's the best way to come to him remember when Christ was on the cross and they were you know the things that they did to him why he was on the cross and what did he say to his father he said Father forgive them for they know not what they do while we were at our worst God was giving us the gift of his his best gift which was the Lord Jesus Christ so you think if you going to give the best gift of yourself then you can be accepted God is seeking your worst because that's the stumbling block that's that that's that's what you're in shackles to you all you can do is repent for what you've been doing God is going to come and cleanse you of all unrighteousness he is going to forgive you and cleanse you but for you to believe that I want to make sure that I'm this way in that way before I go to God now it's the time there should be a sense of urgency because by the time you get your mind made up and by the time you strive to correct those things and think that you he might not be extremely accessible for you now is the time now is there a sense of urgency to allow your house to be set in order now is there a sense of urgency to walk with the Lord and he's telling you that time it's time-sensitive it's what he's saying it's time-sensitive he says seek ye the Lord while he may be found that tells you that it's time-sensitive when it says while he may be found it says call ye upon him while he is near it's time-sensitive and to be honest with you for you to have not made your mind up you you plan rushing right okay so let the wicked forsake his ways and the unrighteous man his thoughts that means that you have to repent when you begin to come to the Lord when you call upon him when you draw nigh unto Him you have to repent of your sins meaning that you have to turn away from those sins and then come to Jesus now when you call upon Jesus he is going to give you the strength to turn away from your sins once and for all but you have to do because he is not going to save you so that you could continue to sin that's not that's not what our Liberty is for we're to walk in freedom of sin and in and in liberty of the law and man we're not supposed to be found in bondage when we are with Christ Jesus so you have to do what you can to repent and confess your faults so that and then call upon him so that he can save you from your sins amen so again time is of the answer is of the answers essence it's time-sensitive do what you do so God can do what he does amen go with me to chapter 3 of the Book of Jeremiah and let's take a look at verses 12 through 15 there are those that have tasted of the fruit if you will and for various reasons for one reason of another you fallen away and it's not that you no longer believe but that somehow you got distracted and you ended up sinning you ended up falling away you became a backslider you got distracted and you ended up taking a detour and when that happens you found yourself lost outside of the company of his fellowship and you found yourself back in the situation that he delivered you from and you find yourself all muddied and mired in mud again but just because you walked away from him so that you can go live according to the enticement of the flesh it doesn't mean that he is going to walk away from you and I have evidence of that let's read this is Jeremiah chapter 3 beginning at verse 12 go and proclaim these words toward the north and say return thou backsliding Israel saith the Lord I will not cause my anger to fall upon you for I am merciful said the Lord and I will not keep anger forever so what we read is goddess acknowledging the fact that he's got - he's got the right to be angry because the way he loves us the way he protects us the way he provides for us how we will turn away from righteousness and give audience to sin and and allow ourselves to be seduced and die and then would you in sin we get so deep that we try to replace God and God is loves us so much that he don't want us he'd do everything he can to persuade us to come back and he tells us look I'm angry at you but I'm not gonna stay mad I'm not going to stay mad and then I'm not going to allow my wrath to to come after you I'm I want you to come back so we can prosper together and this this is the Lord this is this this is the Lord and and he's acknowledging he people that backslide people that have walked with God and from one reason or another you've fallen away and you found yourself away from God and and you've stepped away from him and it doesn't mean that he is going to steal from you step away from me it's quite the opposite he's doing what he can to draw you back so if you've backslidden don't give up go back give up on sin go back to righteousness to the righteousness of Jesus Christ God has not given up on you and he will take you back now he does require something look at what it requires only acknowledge 9 iniquity that thou hast transgressed against the LORD thy God and hast scattered the ways of the stranger under every Green Tree this is what Paul was saying about Peter not only have you stumble but you have led others down the path the wrong path that you've taken and that's what this scripture is saying that as you've walked with God and then all of a sudden you've walked away from him ain't no telling how many others you've drawn away from him you're supposed to be example of how to embrace God and you've been you an example of how to reject God and and God is saying that I need you to acknowledge the damage that you've done I need you to acknowledge that because if you take ownership of it if you repent and if you confess you acknowledge it you confess it because you wouldn't you take responsibility if you acknowledge it and we can pick up where we left off you have less of a chance at going out and doing it again if you take real responsibility for what you've done but if you say that it was because of this and it was because of that and you don't take responsibility chances are you're going to stay in bondage to that sin amen he goes on to say and you have not obeyed my voice said the Lord turn old backsliding children said the Lord for I'm married unto you I haven't given up on you I have a covenant with you a promise has been made unto you we have vows we have vowels together turn o backsliding children said the Lord far married unto you and I would take you one of the city - of a family and I will bring you into past I will bring you into Zion and I will give you pastors after or according to mine own heart which shall feed you with knowledge and with understanding and that's what God does he he receives you when you come back and then he put people in your life to be a positive influence unto you so that you would know how to conduct yourself dilt dare to health strengthen what's what's been weakened about you okay and that's how God is that's what he does he put people there to help you understand so you are you're not without knowledge and you are not without principle you're not without understanding that's you'll put people there to be a positive reinforcement to you to help you amen but ultimately is still up to you to stay to stay on path to state of course amen go with me to Matthew chapter 11 verses 28 through 30 come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy-laden that heavy laden all of you that I've been working and have been tired of working you've been burdened down you've gotten so tired and you have not progressed you've regressed those of you that have no matter what you've tried you have not been successful and it has wore you down it has wore you out Jesus is mindful of you he is mindful of you and he's inviting all of us not just to not just the Jews but all of us all come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy-laden and look at what he says I will give you rest take my yoke upon you and learn of me I am meek and lowly in heart and you shall find rest unto your souls look when you think about an ox treading out the fields one of the things that that when you have two ox treading a field together you have a yoke upon their necks connecting them together this is the method that they used back in the day there was a yoke that connected the two ox so that they would plough together and and and Jesus a saying couldn't commit by connecting with me commit and connect connect and commit you know yoke yourself up to him commit to him and he will take on the burden of the responsibility if you would take a chance if you would take a chance and commit to him take my yoke upon you and learn of me and why does he say learn of me because when the children of Israel came out of Egypt one of the things that God trying to get them to do was to learn of him and that which they learn for them too apply it on their journey so that they would prosper but they would never learn of God no matter what he were trying to do for them no matter what miracles he performed no matter what wonders he would set before them and in the way he addressed their needs how wondrous he's was I wonder as he was when he performed his miracles they would not receive it and they could not prosper Jesus is saying it's not enough for you to commit to him but it's for you to learn of him so that you can prosper in the midst of this relationship it's imperative that you learn and and this is what the Scriptures are for he's going to place his father's spirit inside of you there will be the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and that Holy Spirit is going to help transform you in the meantime you'll be learning who he is and what his expectation is of all of us that have committed to him amen so he says take my yoke upon you and learn of me I am meek and lowly in heart and you shall find rest unto your souls for my yoke is easy and my burden it's light go with me to Romans chapter 10 verses 9 through 13 so this is for those who have who have chosen to commit unto the Lord Jesus beginning at verse 9 of Romans chapter 10 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead thou shalt be saved so you believe in Jesus that you make him Lord of your life remember it's it's the faith that saves it's the faith that saves so you believe in the Lord Jesus so much so that you oh you can you commit to obeying him okay you made him Lord of your life meaning that he has authority over you now and so you've committed to obeying him so you confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead thou shalt be saved so you have to do your part if you believe and you confess God shall save God will save you if you believe you confess you call upon the name of the Lord Jesus God will save you you do your part God will do his part and it doesn't matter what you've done God is faithful and just to forgive you enough to forgive you and to cleanse you of all unrighteousness for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation remember it's about your faith with the heart man believes unto righteousness that righteousness is going to is the pathway to salvation okay it says and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation you got it you confess Jesus as Lord you confess your faults you believe in God you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you repent you you are saved amen it says for there is for for the scripture saith whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed for there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek for the same lord over all this rich upon is rich unto all that call upon him and we discussed that in Galatians you had the the Peter and then Paul Peter was administering the gospel to to the circumcised Paul was administering the gospel to the uncircumcised and when they put the two Gospels together they saw how how at one the Gospels were so that tells you there is no difference between the Jews and no difference between the Greeks the same lord over all is rich upon all that call upon him that salvation that's offered to the Jews God is offering that to the Gentiles for whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved if you do your part God will do his part go with me to first John chapter 8 verse first John I'm sorry chapter one first John chapter 1 verses 8 through 10 and here's what the word of the Lord says if we say that we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us remember when we read in in in Jeremiah God says only acknowledge your iniquities it's taken responsibility for what you've done take a look at yourself and see where you're broken and and and that's what you repent you repent over your sins you repent of them and then you you you confess them before Christ you let them know what it is that you've done and then you call upon him make him your Lord and ask him to forgive you amen if we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness so if you if you repent and confess God Clint God forgives and cleanse you repent and confess God forgives and cleanse you do your part God does his part if we say that we have not sinned we make him a liar and his word is not in us if if you don't acknowledge where you've gone wrong if you don't acknowledge and you try to hide it then God can't help you do your part so he can do his part go with me quickly to Psalms 32 verse 5 Psalms 32 verse 5 I acknowledge my sin unto thee and my iniquity have I not hid I said I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord and thou forgave us the iniquity of my sin even David knew then that if you repent and confess God forgives and cleanse amen go with me to Acts chapter 2 verses 36 through 47 this is a this particular day of Pentecost describes an event that took place the Holy Ghost filled down upon the disciples and not only did the Holy Ghost fall upon the disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ but it also came inside of them and began to operate it begin to work in inside of the disciples and then once the Holy Ghost came inside the disciples it used their tongue to minister to to all of the various nationalities that were there on this particular day of pentacles so if there was someone there from Asia the Holy Ghost used their tongue to speak in the language of the Asians if there was someone there from Africa the Holy Ghost used a tongue of the disciples to speak in the native tongue of the Africans once the Holy Ghost had their attention by speaking in their native language the the Apostle Peter began to minister the gospel unto them in a sermon and we pick up we pick up this sermon on in verse 36 Acts chapter 2 verse 36 therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God had made that same Jesus who you've crucified both Lord and Christ and what Peter is saying here is you've may not have been the one to drive the nails through the hands you've may not have been the one to drive the nails through the feet but the fact that you were rebellious against Christ Jesus make you just as complicit as those that had done that to him that message goes to us - we've may not have been the one to crucify him on the cross but if we rejected him in any kind of way by our lifestyles or what-have-you we're just as complicit as those that had crucified him now when they heard this they were convicted they were pricked in their heart and said unto Peter and to the rest of the Apostles men and brethren what shall we do so when you hear a sermon and God begins to convict you you begin to be compelled to do right God has shown you what's out of order with him and the whole reason that he's convicting you is because he's given you under the grace of Jesus Christ has given you that opportunity to set your house in order that's what the conviction is for it's not enough to hear the truth and say a man and you go back to those things that offend God when God convicts you he's bringing you for he's bringing it forward so that you can take responsibility and that you can take action amen so those that heard this sermon they were convicted and they hadn't led them to want to take action and so they asked Peter and the rest of the Apostles what can we do to write this Rome here's what Peter said repent we've talked about repentance that's turning away from one sin you're turning away from the sin once therefore all and you're confessing your fault before the Lord and letting them know what it is that you've done wrong that's repentance turning away from your sins and confessing your faults before the Lord letting them know what it is that you've done wrong and then he goes and say be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins now in Baptism we are buried in Christ Jesus and we are resurrected in Christ Jesus when Christ was crucified and he lay down his life on a cross he was taken down off the cross and he was laid to rest in the tomb and he was dead for three days and three nights he laid he lay he was laid to rest for three days and three nights and after three days and three nights God resurrected Christ from the dead so Christ was laid to rest in the tomb and then when God brought him back to life he was resurrected from the dead when we are baptized we are being laid to rest in Christ Jesus when we come up out of the water we are being resurrected in Christ Jesus we're buried in Christ Jesus we are resurrected in Christ Jesus your old man goes down into the water your new man comes up out of the water excuse me folks so when we are baptized it's ceremonial again our Burien in Christ Jesus our old man goes down our resurrection in Christ Jesus our new man comes up out of the water amen so you want to make sure you get that done and I know nowadays with social distancing and various things of the light there are still those that are able to come to your house in let me tell you folks can do it in your bathtub it's not about you've been in a place of worship to get it done it's about you getting it done period amen and there are those that God will send your way that that will that will help to to facilitate this ceremony but you got to let your prayers be made known to God I let her know that I need to be baptized God knows your heart and he'll show you the path to get it done you just want to make sure that you get it done go with me to Romans chapter 6 Romans chapter 6 let's look at verses 3 through 6 know ye not that so many of us were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death therefore we are buried with him by baptism into the death that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father even so we also should walk in the newness of life for if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death we shall also be in the likeness of his resurrection knowing this that our old man is crucified with him that the body of sin might be destroyed that his fourth we shall not serve sin so he is not saving you to continue to commit sin he is saving you so that you are no longer bound by sin amen so we are buried with Christ in Baptism and we are resurrected with him when you are brought up from baptism your old man goes down your new man comes up out of the water all your sins have been washed away so Peter says repent be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit just as the disciples receive the Holy Spirit inside of them so will all believers receive the gift of the Holy it's God's indwelling inside of us his presence and his power it's his Spirit living inside of us instructing you ministering to you in a small voice nudging at your heart telling you to you know encouraging you to pray to walk the straight and narrow just encouraging you to live graciously under the righteousness of Jesus Christ in the Liberty which he has provided for us amen for the promises unto you and to all your children and to all that are afar off even as many as the Lord God shall call this verse encourages me for the sake of our children for others for the sake of family members if you have children if you have family members that haven't accepted the name of the Lord Jesus Christ they haven't accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior it tells you that no matter what how far they appear to be from God that he is still able to save them a Manning and if you look at yourself and see how far away you were from God and yet he was still able to save you and with many other words did he testify and exhort saying save yourselves from this godless generation and that's what's being that's that's what's being echoed today if you will put yourself in position to be separate from a godless generation while you have the opportunity if you haven't already done so save yourselves call upon the name of the Lord Jesus so that you can be saved then they that gladly received a word were baptized and the same day they were added unto them about 3,000 Souls so they gladly received it and because they received it the results of the results was that they were saved God added to the size of our family they continued steadfastly in the Apostles doctrine and in fellowship and breaking bread and in prayers whatever God has done to get you to the point that you are now saved you don't take your foot off the gas pedal you keep it on if God got you to the point to where you're saved don't stop reading the word that's what got you there the the the fasting that's what got you there the praying the fellowship don't take your foot off the gas in those things you keep it moving once you take your foot off the gas and you become stagnant it's a danger of you falling back and eventually that you becoming a backslider amen so whatever God has done to get you to this point it takes even more to to maintain and to fool and to pull forward amen verse verse 43 fear came upon every soul with many wonders and signs were or many wonders and signs were done by the apostles and all that believed were together and had all things common they sold their possessions and good and their parted their goods and they imparted them to all men as every man had need they continued daily with one Accord in the temple and breaking bread from house to house did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart praising God and having favor with all people and the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved eternal God we take this opportunity to say thank you thank you for your goodness your grace and your mercy towards us moreover and above all thank you for the Grace and the righteousness of Jesus Christ whom we were set to believe and through our faith in Christ we have our salvation thank you for allowing our names to be written in the Lamb's Book of Life thank you for this avenue whereby we not only receive salvation from God but by we are able to walk with God as well through Jesus Christ Lord in this we give you praise and we say thank you now there are those who have called upon the name of the Lord Jesus by faith they believe and have confessed their faults and have repented and have acknowledged Jesus as Lord that they too may receive the gift of salvation god we thank you for them as well for for them to receive the truth that Jesus is Lord annex and expanding on the size of our family God continued to bring the kingdom to all that wouldn't had that would have a chance to hear and would claim their gift of salvation thank you for adding various gifts and callings those that are new to the faith we ask that you strengthen them and direct them and lead them give them give them a sense of value of the inheritance that they have been able to come into because they claim the gift that was provided through Jesus Christ father perfected strengthen him lead and guide show them thy ways O God incorporate them and integrate them into the body to where we find ourselves edified by the gifts that you planted in them long ago thank you for not giving up on us when we were so far from you thank you for helping us to receive the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ father continue to declare your truth that all would hear and get an opportunity to proclaim that Jesus is Lord thank you Father for even this platform to be able to minister your gospel and declare your truths thank you for those whom you've called to help us and thank you for the word that you've given us this day all praise is
