come Leon's ledge trapping yeah man I don't remember the last time these two was played but this is going to be our second of potentially four best of fives if there is a grand finals reset Bowser Luigi just doesn't seem like it's the type of game you want to be playing in really if you're the Bowser player which is why we're seeing Leon take to the platforms jump around oh what a scoop there hello what a grab yeah like Leon as we saw before is really okay with just playing a slow game playing a defensive game but he waits for you to just make one miscalculation one misstep and he just takes it home he takes an entire stock off of it a lot of the time we're even game here here with Snivy looking for reverse up air Downer though but getting the sour spot still good damage and great movement on the cycle in order to avoid the big punishment and you instantly gain all of that damage back just a quick up till into upbeat Bowser's big body gonna make it very easy to follow Di that stock wand going in guy guy's favor yeah and whenever you see the guy tag in the bracket oh my God do not stop two in guy guy's favor I can't even do my sequence all right all right okay no come on man man these Luigi mans always get in the desert of the desk not trying to get up let us commentators say anything it's like we get it guy guy you're God God you're him bro you're him we get it yeah him him out here 130 though just going for the two frame though super jump punch can be pretty hard to two frame though Leon looking to reset the same position fire fire breath that should be Oh I thought he was gonna do run forward side B but not taking it 152 though you're needing something like a Ford air in the corner or just this raw any raw back here will do yeah Leon went for the opportunity to get the upbeat as guy guy was just repeatedly trying to make Leon approach and we might just be seeing it kind of run back but all right he's done with the F tilt hit him out the door even with that stop taken your Leon is in the approaching game up till trying for coverage respecting the space though and we're back to the approaching game Fireball trying to just come on in seldomly with the forwarder up tilt the plunger in Tandem and who's caught him on the way back which is something that you can really abuse against Bowser just being a big body and oh my God that that combo would have been like I would have been so sick you know I'm not the typical Luigi fan but some that combo would have been sick it really would have it really would have Gaga's already shaping up to close out this first game and he's trying to go from 2-0 to 3-0 to get his run back up against zomba and you know what a two stuck in the game one makes it seem like a New York Grand finals is on the horizon yeah now as I was saying before being a big body is kind of really bad and a lot of people know how to work around that with Bowser being really big you can do a lot of Shield pokes with a lot of moves to just get in and if Leon's not ready kind of tilting his shield he will get poked for it which we saw a guy guy able to get it in with the back here through the gaps as long as you have that Shield pressure that's where Luigi's like those Rising Aerials I was talking about earlier like short hop Fair short hop dare you still have enough time to go for a landing there or in the case of guy guy has been instead doing a lot of cross-up bears as well and doing two Aerials in a short hop is just such a privilege when it comes to Shield pressure yeah Marina Leon loves to make this his home on small Battlefield being able to utilize those two platforms to get the cybes to get the kills but now having the ledge trapping in the business this is so good for Leon being home and comfortable having this momentum it's nice at the jump with the forward as well you're already shaping up to get the start and he's definitely still looking to sink this F till but Gaga yeah no still being put a disadvantage okay you know it's the classic kind of Duo aggro versus control and the way Leon right now is controlling the game State and then what guy guy did was let the aggro rip he found his he found something to stick and it turned it into 95 instantaneously and that's always the danger right when you have a character that just doesn't need to win neutral a lot as soon as they do it feels bad yeah you got that you got that stock first if you're Leon but you took a lot of damage just off of one interaction and you're looking at death percent oh luckily Bowser is also one of those characters if they push you to that like high percentage they get the side B that's pretty much their Prime win condition that lens also is one of their Prime win conditions like trying to get off it alone you will most likely eat like 70 90 oh the downer hits done careful how many times you can do that that's the rising back era a solid trade there from guy guy taking a little bit of damage if it meant he could do a double jump uh-oh hold up hold up um no it's already over pause he he he knew this the uh Leon definitely did not want to get hit by that a second in time but still you ate 19 off of that but you're alive and you're the heaviest character in the game so you got a little bit more time in her survive here if only got the opportunity the DI getting crossed up per chance as that is just a couple grabs instant stock loss guy guy back in the driver's seat for this game you're only living for so long against Luigi forgive me against guy who plays this character so phenomenally well you can see the recognition with a lot of their combos able to convert it at just a moment's glance and getting really good DIY Mix-Ups off the down throws with tornado but back here and occasionally you don't get in that upbeat guys just clipping Leon in so many awkward scenarios like that that jump out of the corner just trying to get away but guy guy using some good spacing and solid coverage to make the most of the opportunities 112 now here on Leon and all it takes for a guy guy here Snivy is just one grab yeah just one grab just one touch and Leo might be at a time as guy guys still trying to play these approaching games see we are staring at each other full-on eyes locked down plunger Fireball plunger Fireball two in a short hop it's crazy that's a little D I'm not gonna lie it's the it makes Luigi's neutral a little bit better than it gets credit for because you would think like oh it's crap we're neutral it's pretty linear and like yeah it is you can just like call out a lot of the timings in a lot of the rotations but the frame is surprisingly safe though if you can put on the pressure that's 75 instantly still living at 150 and the air dive sound loved that from Leon all you're trying to do here is get back on the ground re-establish some semblance of control oh yeah that's not looking good down throw back here put in Leon down for that second game yeah the the flip side of yeah you're the heaviest character in the game that means combo throws like or Pinnacle Peak combo throws like Luigi down throw they're gonna be combine for a very long time that down throw backer looked true at 150. yeah and it's like you couldn't even slow down the pace of the game which is super unfortunate because you would kind of want to build that chip damage up to where you can just get like a cybee to kill off the platform so just not have to deal with guy guy Luigi anywhere in your vicinity but again it's tough because you gotta approach him you gotta approach this character at some you have to find ways to say Force Luigi into his Blues condition which is consistently Edge guarding getting edge guarded rather or getting the corner trapped stuffing that Bowser is good at but that means you have to innately interact with Luigi where he's at his best which is on stage like this though we are looking pretty solid I like the counter pick to town and City a lot because you have a lot of really good platform layouts to mix up your utility and doing a wood damage a lot of good damage early on and able to instantly pivot that into a Nair back here looking pretty good here in this game number three Leon coming alive yeah Leo might be put back in the car okay that guy drops the combo but I really like that start that Leon had going for him he was playing he was just circle Kevin guy guy that's like the optimal way to play against Luigi just don't interact don't interact just don't interact and you won't get super jump punched sorry Luigi I do not want to play with you no oh reach the roll in though spacing out pretty good getting a 44 off of that throw combo yet no more damage than just that Leo really wants to try and overshoot a lot of these but if you take that risk just barely able to get out of that combo honestly the best escape job he's done all day uh throughout this entire bracket because only taking 67 you're feeling very good about that and you take the stock with the call out all right those small town city blast ones are definitely put in the work for Leon especially getting off that back here God damn and still looking to continue this pressure as well just letting the flame breath rip even though it's diminishing so so small and guy guy missing the upbeat there this is gonna be so good for Leon if he can secure this kill this kill he's just taking it off the top their vulnerability frame one guy got reacted to it and turned to Leon's potential clip into his own damn sucks we're sponsored by fresh cut Leon can find their way into a game number four and they are another jump taking advantage of the Luigi's very very floaty and slow air speed character needs to get to the ground in order to really feel like he's hard to approach in the air that big Forward Air is gonna gonna seal some stocks but this was a super heads up play from guy guy that almost turned this game around because a Bowser at zero kill person yeah and I know you were hinting at it before if Leon gets a game you get a lot of momentum swinging this way so that has turned out to be true in the past a lot of the time so I really want to see if this game 4 kind of pans out to this game five in this smash fill makes me really optimistic about the idea and you can see it before how Gaga was trying to get the shield pokes in now Leon is starting to angle his shield not letting Gaga get any of these interactions inside I like how you bring that up your Snivy because a lot of the damage that Leon has got her in both the previous game and this one has been with upbees out of Shield able to punish those Rising Aerials so that guy guy had been feeling so safe with well if you do that on a platform there makes it really really hard to approach even on a small stage like like Smash Bro oh great tech there again escaping very quickly only taking 71 and the spot Dodge in order to get away from the super jump Punch Yeah that side we put in quick work Gaga really want the reversal out of that and I get it you're playing against Bowser you don't want him getting that rage you don't want him getting that lead because it's going to be so tough to approach so tough to get your stocks input it's not tough if you're a Luigi if you're a guy guy even that's that's tough minus on hit unfortunate that's the powerful Luigi neutral air like a frame three instant combo starter but you're still feeling pretty good here if you're Leon like you have a lot of proven data that you can fall back on generally Leon is a type of player that likes to figure things out which is what can make games one and two not go super well but he slowly is able to accrue information and turn it into power and you know knowledge is power certainly holds true in in the fighting game sphere oh yeah moving it right now and clean conversion to push guy guy to the corner as well and setting up for the up though to try and Chase for the Forward Air guy get a little damage off the reversal and still trying to keep this turn as well this might be good okay for a down air instantaneously ready to pull on that trigger and Leon I mean if guy guy is going to be hunting for these stocks over and over and over again just trying to kill you off of any interaction well that street goes two ways oh yeah and now we're kind of just on upon us right now with the uh one of my favorite storylines in Smash Brothers the veteran player up against the newcomer because these veteran players if you give them the longer sets they gain more data they Thrive off of figuring out your habits adapting mid set and having that stamina that kind of just backs them as a new player you know kind of fumbles around to just figure it out because they're just all about that advancement especially an ultimate especially with a character like Luigi you're kind of pigeonhole into making sure that you gain all of that damage off of single neutral wins so you're encouraged to just put all of your eggs in one basket but Leon here willing to play the long game willing just to take up B after upbeat near after near but the top Air sharks are so so good from a guy guy pivoting his offense a little bit and turning into a solid position yeah that jump call out certainly sealing the fate of this first stop guy guy not trying to get reverse Trio by Leon's Bowser but you know what you're saying it earlier if you're Snivy Leon's been doing it since the game has come out has overcome many a player in his time and knows how to slowly Whittle you down almost make that back going for the Ford air holding down Center Stage really well for schneiders yeah you just have to hold down this ledge now just get the stock off on Gaga who's just trying to desperately get the stock off and slides off covering himself but still you're at the mercy of Bowser F tilt that move is so good yeah I think guy guy might have been trying to space out so he could get to he could get the ledge between uh F tilt hits but the move is just so good at poking at that spacing and it is faded out guys builds up a combo and breath with with the roll in high commitment but the reward is astronomical yeah it's one of those things with Luigi just you find your opponent messing up just once you can take that opportunity and just completely run with it for the whole extra mile but Leon immediately just trying to retaliate building up that percentage on Gaga with the 105 and is trying to fit fish for that conversion like off this platform trying to get something but Gaga is turning it against him right now oh in this position that Leon had found so much good in is really biting him in the but you're reading the aeronauts but not able to get the air drift in order to convert that into a combo just the back though here from Leon he needs in order it needs this stock is looking for the up air not finding it looking for the up to not finding it he really needs to secure this kill here or else it's going to be so bad but the whipped up tilt in the face he died this time off the backer though so this is pretty good if you're Leon you're still hanging around and the whiffed grab all right we got an up till in there but Leon has to be super careful of guy guy trying to get the immediate stock off a tornado a down throw a bag here maybe even an upbeat cannot get clipped by anything a down throw means a down b and a down B needs your stock no grabs to be found Leon taking the high road playing around this platform if it ain't broke don't fix it you're forcing the guy guy into very particular spacings to keep himself alive here oh I thought he was gonna do forward into town smash that definitely could have been the stock there but he's still fishing off of it can he get it beats out the tornado it is looking for it as well that guy in the feed but Leon gets a reversal with the back here closing out a crazy game five the venue hopping off we saw it a little bit earlier from guy guy he'd been willing to pull the trigger on rolls in the corner and in stage anywhere it got him a stock earlier he felt comfortable enough to roll and but any time that you feel comfortable in picking one defensive option that's gonna get you blown up man the traps there from Leon were so good and never underestimate how fast Bowser can be on the ground and how fast he can be at taking your stocks super clean from Leon reverse 3-0 on the board for the Bowser Main and now he is the one guaranteed second and looking at four more with his run back against zambo you can really never count them out you can really never count out the one of the best Bowser players in the world dude finds ways to needle and get in your head find openers and just make you afraid and if you're playing scared around Bowser I mean I wonder at how many of these clips we can see a guy guy roll there was one there and one there up smash out of Shield not hitting thanks to Bowser and air being safe enough and he turned that into absolute Victory Leon Leon Zamba yeah you really have to admire Leon's composure in that livestock
