[Full stream] - Dark Souls Spellcaster Run [Part 1]

[Music] do hello hello i'm excited uh i know this kind of came out of the blue but i'm going to do i've decided i'm going gonna do a single player no lark dark souls run uh and i'm gonna do a spellcaster build which i've i've never even like touched that side of dark souls before thought about doing this for a while and always wanted to do it been watching lots of [ __ ] dark souls content lately been getting sort of interested in the series again i mean i was always i guess you know i deviated off to bloodborne which is basically the same thing oh i'm sorry i'm still catching my breath i just ran up a flight of stairs a single flight of stairs and my overweight ass that i i need to be like i'm like sigmar right now so yeah no lark this time i think not only do i want to be a spell caster i also want to be a spellcaster murderer so i think i want to just like rampantly kill npcs in this play through also look it's this it's the scene i didn't have the astora armor uh but i that just happened to happen i was testing out the game and i was like you know what this is the spot with the [ __ ] intro art so i might as well start here this is a swampy gus i'm gonna turn off this crap music uh this is swampy gus from the randomizer we will not be playing as swampy gus though this will just be new game yeah i'm like level 150 in this one because it was the randomizer and the randomizer let you like cheese souls okay let's get out of here yeah your swampy gus okay is the is the menu music here does it only happen when you press start i started off the the game with this hold on okay it's not even playing the music whatever does it like fade in i'm worried that it's gonna like play the cut scene without music now uh yes i'm using a controller uh so my hand my hand does not feel great these days i iced up my hand before this and i took some ibuprofen and this might be a sort of situation where i do one of these streams and then it's going to be a while till the next one uh depending on how good it is for my hand there's key settings oh you know what i i don't think you can even turn off the music in this right uh so yeah let me know if you can see and hear everything all right uh seems everything's good new game oh i haven't thought about a name it's not going to be something hilarious like bikeway and arrows i'm sorry this there's never going to be anything as good as bike queen arrows i think oh this is going to take a while i always forget that you have to customize your character in this because i i literally always forget okay well class so by the way uh y'all can back seat all you want i am perfectly within my rights to just ignore you but don't be obnoxious of course that's the main thing but uh basically what i mean is the general rule of like no spoilers don't tell me where things are in like bloodborne when we were doing like blind bloodborne uh you don't really have to worry about that you know i still uh i guess i do mind if you're just being a dick about it but like why is he not doing the you know that kind of [ __ ] rather than hey man did you know you can do you know anyway uh so i want the master key right is there any is there one that's like i don't even remember what the old witch's ring is or this one oh tiny beings ring is that maybe like the furtive pygmy uh i think master key is just the best one though also i'm turning up the game volume a lot it's quiet old witch's ring lets you talk with the cool quilag uh i can get it otherwise okay yeah i think master key is the way to go um oh god slurm right no tiny head no i need a big brain very large uh top heavy is that like big head yeah that's big head top heavy could be very intellectual clearly this is the one i'm going for um astora okay where do i want to be do i want to be a delta farmer dragon scholar thoroughland cleric jubilant katarina that is just costco like we didn't even change his face very much costco is just the the normal katarina with like a bowl cut dubious kareem classic xena kind of like this guy [Music] why so quiet me the game what's quiet tell me neatly trimmed as the old nobility [Music] uh it's kind of neat that was swept back exactly oh weird it's like the snake the jailbird hair shaved i want the one that's parted in the center this is mine that's not what my hair really looks like but this is what i'm going for yeah i think the song is just it's a very quiet song we'll see it's hard to get the volume right for souls games because a lot of the time it's just ambient noise gray gold silva sephiroth separate sephiroth um is that really all you can do no there's like yeah there's like a bunch of like face stuff that you can do i don't even really care create similar face over and over it's the tradition right i'm gonna do this with my left hand your headphones weren't fully plugged in classic mistake classic they're changing it's changing subtly look at this he's a totally different guy now totally different guy so i think one of the main things one of the main reasons i want to do this is uh something i encountered in sakiro was it and also in other souls games as well an issue i've always had is uh he's looking like bikeway uh oh god yeah get those eyes wider apart yeah i i never use all the tools that are available to me and i feel like this will help with that and maybe maybe make me a little more well learned for for demon souls as well perhaps i don't know it'll train me to like do more things no he's looking more normal no can i just like i wish you off with soul arrow or something like that let's just see i think it'll it like changes the tutorial a little bit okay cece's thesis let's go this will not be a main channel video no this is just for fun you can make a fan edit or whatever if you want the world was unformed shrouded by fog we're definitely watching this a land of grey crags arch trees and everlasting dragons their eyes like then there was fire their eyes are like welded shut with stones either that or they're just like disparity and of course light and dark we never really get to see this area in game it almost makes you wonder if this is like the cave that became like mantis arena you know i don't know that's a stretch that's just like a random shot in the dark within the flame it is a tad loud how about that animation of neato is so good the the glow up from in game to in the cut scene is pretty intense look how [ __ ] up her hands are from holding that they're all like uh blistery easily forgotten like is this mantis cave because because manus is the furtive pygmy right sort of i think i think that's the case i mean we're not certain [Music] i reference that so much for some reason mighty bolts cutscene neato is so good oh yeah oh god what a sick cutscene it was still a bit loud also this something pointed out to me by illusory wall which is a great youtube channel this picture looks nothing like any anything we see in games it's like clearly early concept art mighty bolts peeled apart the stone scales this part of the cutscene just reminds me of dark souls 3 because it's in like the graveyard there's the emphasis i have to pee i have to pee it's like the very beginning of the stream and i have to take a piss if i ever get a tattoo i might get a tattoo of the dark sign like i'm not a big like tattoo guy but i that would be the one thing i would go for yeah watching binging all of illusory walls videos about dark souls uh and the mr gimmick one or the just gimmick in japan uh why is there there's no game audio so there was definitely something going on with the opening screen there's nothing happening oh no never mind it's because i wasn't in the window oh and now it's hella quiet who is talking here where they are i guess it's just the lady from the intro cutscene would i get a huge one on my center chest or just a small one i think i would get a littler one like on my back because that's where a lot of characters in dark souls have it baby rat i love how that's just the depth rat model scaled down yeah i'll fiddle with the volume it's it's at the max volume that i can put it in obs right now so there's definitely something going on does lark have tattoos i i don't believe so no i like how it establishes early that items are found on corpses it's like the first thing you learn i i should have peed during that cutscene what am i doing okay we're in the game my boy is here i seem to remember there being like there's like a toilet in here right or something it's like one of these is a toilet oh well i broke it well good that's good um okay so can can we just quickly what is with this look at this all this [ __ ] flying past the screen uh so like key settings no that's that's like the key buttons are there even volume options in this game i could have sworn there were but okay well interesting if anybody knows let me know i should probably equip [ __ ] i got the broken straight sword hilt and i've got just a bunch of rotten cleric gear wow i have nothing i have nothing at all all right so there's there's mr stray and i think most people kind of don't put together that that's a different demon the first time they're playing this game like they go oh that's uh that's the same demon that i fought because it looks identical but no it's got a different weapon and it's the asylum demon that we fight comes off the roof whereas this one's in the basement but i feel like you don't even really pick up i didn't pick up on that on my first play through i just figured they were the same guy that guy is there to dispense beezies there's multiple options pages volume is with the rest of the settings underneath video settings huh initialize wait i don't understand options oh wow doing options not settings um okay here we go this is the cause okay yeah i don't know why they're all divided like that but all right um that seems good and then that's a little loud now okay uh even that maybe maybe a tiny bit loud let's keep it there that that should be good we'll see when the boss happens because fromsoft are psychos not initialized never again um so i think can't we even see him through a window here yeah look at that there's the asylum demon without even opening the door you can peek at him this play through i really want to emphasize that sort of [ __ ] dark souls has so many of those cool little details and oh my god i i pog over them so i'm not gonna get the demon asylum hammer or whatever uh i'm just gonna i'm just gonna run because i this does like no damage right and i don't have a catalyst let's just try hitting him a couple times that's good yeah no no way i'm i know it's possible no way yeah in the speed run i i showed off the dumb early asylum demon kill so look there for that small level shield to give you a little room here wow this guy's shooting the arrows is just a dumb ass he's still shooting them you can't even see me okay all right um get the small leather shield going the way that this whole tutorial is constructed is really amazing i think too that being said the first time i played this game it did not suck me in i still think maybe the biggest problem with dark souls is that it there's such a wall that you have to get over the first time but uh it's not even i don't even know if it's like that solvable of an issue all right there's the man and there's there's always these situations where you're seeing things before you actually encounter them or after you actually encounter them there's the rusted iron ring just taunting me i don't think there's anything back here no this is in fact nothing also you move so slow in this game compared to bloodborne i know that's probably a basic observation but amazing whoa the bricks have like physics to them too there's some light [ __ ] bricks those are those like those like uh cardboard bricks you know that you play with in like elementary school oh you you're now hollow thank goodness i'm done for him afraid i'll die soon then lose my sanity i wish to ask something of you you and i were both undead i love this guy hear me out someone said i think the game literally being called prepare to die should get you prepared for the wall i ain't talking about the difficulty it's not what i'm talking about and also that's the special edition and also that's a dumb [ __ ] name it's like the beginning of dark souls 2 when they go yo die in this video game and that's the intro cut scene regrettably you know i have failed in my mission but perhaps you can keep the torch lit there is an old saying in my family thou who are undead are chosen and thine exodus from the undead asylum that's literally how the game dark souls 2 starts when thou ringeth the bell of awakening the fate of the undead thou shall know well now you know fate of the undead eh and i can die with hope in my heart oh by the way this is what's on the cover of the game too like the the cover art is oscar lying in this rubble with this beam of sunlight shining on him an undead favorite and this we're going to kick you off to death in the balls it's like that it really is that like tone and so i think when we when we walk away from this guy we will get souls because he just [ __ ] died yeah we just hear the death sound do we get his souls yeah 100 souls so sad all right that looped back around now i've got a real weapon but i'm gonna there's something up here right or this is where you plunge the man this is where i need to go so this is oh pog i forgot there's actual there's like easy ass backstabs in this game you don't have to get a charged l2 attack licking bloodborne that's incredible uh what's up with this brick cool floating brick it's just hanging on by a thread there sorcerer's catalyst that's what i need are you gonna attack me come over here [ __ ] [ __ ] piece of [ __ ] up dice you up good all right i'm gonna need to get back in the swing of things it's been a little while [ __ ] [ __ ] it's been a little while i've been i'm so used to bloodborne so my play style is not going to be particularly suited to this game i think at the moment um so i want to put this on like alternate weapon i guess i don't know so i may do things where people are like literally how is he this dumb how is he doing this he's putting it on right hand oh my god there might be situations like that just don't worry about it [Music] nice wow oh that insta killed him jesus christ okay i've heard that spell casting can get very broken in this game so i'm i'm ready nice i can stand on this ledge and something cool happens really well did you know that you can also stand on this ledge and something cool happens plunge no i didn't even get the plunge oh i shot it right up his [ __ ] oh my god that was brutal that was brutal i think he actually has a unique crush animation for that but in the moment i was like eh i want to get the plunging attack so i get a bunch of these [ __ ] things i get like 30 [ __ ] soul arrows that's pretty good so i just need to run away and spam spells but uh i i don't want to get heated by the demon i know what happens don't worry nice wow that was [ __ ] easy yeah i'll also be getting the pyromancy flame so like the the pyromancy guy is in i can still hear the you can still hear the guy downstairs stomping around by the way was that [ __ ] insanely loud it was that was that insanely loud i wasn't looking at the volume [ __ ] but uh the pyromancy guy is in like lower undead berg and then the sorcery guys in new londo i think as far as i recall sounds fine good job go straight ahead oh right he's in the depths there's a there's a different guy you get in undead berg isn't there also a guy in undead or in lower undead bird that gives you something also here's the nest ooh try jumping off what do you think guys is there like an item they get like an item if i go down yeah thanks for all those subs that was that was pretty cool um sorcerer is in lower undead berg i see so oh so that's a different sorcerer right that's the guy that's like a student of uh what's his name big hat big fat logan so can hold on stupid idea no why did i do that why would i try doing that i want to see if i can activate the cutscene by like jumping off the edge come on get her hello there for some spells i know if we are not acquainted i am petrus of thoroughland have you business with this guy's a [ __ ] if not i prefer to keep a distance hello i realize that but i also want you to know that it is not meant an ill will here take this as a token oh it gives me like a bronze coin or something no go ahead copper coin what a cheap piece of [ __ ] why oh i know i because that that levels up my spell power but i also kind of want some health i'm gonna do okay well so if i if i do sorcery does that mean i just don't do miracles at all is that a thing i'm just gonna pump it all into vitality actually um let's do one intelligence to vitality i kind of just figured like by spellcaster build i'm gonna be perfectly honest i was thinking pyromancy spells and miracles i didn't know it was like an exclusive thing so i guess we're doing spells sure that kind of sucks huh except why can't i huh oh i already did it oh that would explain it well that that really sucks i i kind of wanted to just do like all the spells [ __ ] but i guess we're doing sorcery and pyromancy that's good enough two out of three pyromancy is the one that i already kinda know because that's the scrub one that you don't need any level requirements for and i remember with like miracles and faith and [ __ ] i was always like damn why would you do that why would you do that because the requirements are so high can't do that yet is so is one of the elevators at like halfway i thought there would be like a closed gate but there's not even any elevators here interesting okay um [Music] pyromancy requires faith for the higher level spells that sucks what about the one where you [ __ ] stick your fist in the ground and a bunch of pillars of flame come up i've apparently that one's like really overpowered and i've literally never used it like apparently you're supposed to farm the guys in the uh you're supposed to farm the dudes in [Music] the painted world with that i never knew yeah i guess i could go do a catacombs run um to die edition never had faith or in requirements for pyromancy okay yeah sorry i just read that out of chat uh should i oh did the statue just like spawn in oh no it's just like level of detail uh you know what i'll do i'll i'll go do a graveyard run later um oh oh i'm just gonna run past [ __ ] it no that's a bad idea that's a really bad idea good i'm getting juggled by these [ __ ] clowns sip right in front of his face yeah that's good i gotta get back in the [ __ ] zone man oh yep they all come tumbling down yep that's the way to do it that's the way that's the way i mean i need souls so i might as well kill the guys you know but i lure them in here and just take them out one by one because your spells refill at a bonfire kind of like your estus right one in here oh i don't think they can oh interesting okay well right all right well if they're stuck out there then can i do this you know i always heard spell casting was cheap but i i disagree i think it's very legit oh [ __ ] a rat i think one of those bodies fell off and it had an item so i think i get like a the goal is to get like a magic upgraded weapon so i need like the magic ember i don't remember exactly what it's called or something whatever ember lets you do that uh can't you drop down from here to do this isn't this like the actual easy way to do this yeah most people do the jump from there i did the jump from there but i think that's the easy way you're supposed to do it all right i've never done it that way this is so [ __ ] by the way that this this particular thing happens so early on it's like put some illusories here i hate this i still hate this it's just it's so nerve-wracking to do this part okay and then you need to jump and i'm almost certainly going to [ __ ] this up okay i did it it's just everything feels a little slower and clunkier i think dark souls one and two it's like dark souls 1 and 2 are in a group of their own and then dark souls 3 and bloodborne are in a group of their own because dark souls 3 and bloodborne are both like a lot faster yeah and i got that long sword straight away pretty good oh my god do you think they put the ring of sacrifice there so that people would put it on immediately and learn what it does through that that's pretty funny if so all right hollow ahead you don't say in this game hollows no it literally would never happen line it up [ __ ] dark souls 2 is faster but clunkier than dark souls 1. i'm not sure if i understand how that is how that could be oh oh excuse me what i could have sworn this was a jumpable jump hold on oh well we can just like whack with the catalyst whack there goes catalyst there was like an invisible wall there what the [ __ ] wait i could have sworn this was like the easy easy thing there's totally an invisible wall there i need to do it from like a greater angle then there you go sv cheats you know i actually i a while ago i downloaded the like free camera mod and just went around and looking at these like buildings that you never get to explore otherwise really interesting also there's an invisible wall here too you literally can't do this i tried this off stream actually i tried luring an enemy over here and getting them to like hit me off of it or trying to do like the parry thing it doesn't work because otherwise you'd be able to skip straight down to the capra boss kaeper demon boss there's his room i don't think he's spawned in there yet but you can actually cheese the capra demon from outside his arena with firebombs it's amazing maybe i should do that [ __ ] yes uh oh oh oh i oh let me get up here i there's also there's another skip to get to lower undead berg early i'm also familiar with and apparently there's one for the depths too i think that might be the same one [ __ ] i keep trying to do heavy spell i've done the like lower undead burg skip before i just never really liked even even in terms of like the animation of dark souls 2 everything just feels slightly like more stiff and weird and like the not only the animations but also like the post-processing effects like nothing looks quite as good in that game because the lighting effects aren't as good it's just the general game feel is not incredible it to me at least and i still like dark souls 2 but that's just a difference that i have personally noted be wary of more lying in ambush really oh right look at this [ __ ] where you can like see them dangling there can i just like nail them from right here no i couldn't target onto them all right yeah and the the leveling adp thing or is it like dexterity or something that gives you faster estes there's like a bunch of [ __ ] in dark souls 2 where like the leveling like affects you differently and it's it like throws you off too i seem to remember there was something where we like never leveled something like the whole game and we leveled it late game and we were like oh that makes it like way easier dark souls 2 is definitely still worth playing though it's like if you enjoyed the other games you'll love this bunk i love that this really just feels like a uh a previous path like in terms of like they programmed when they were making the game you know like it feels like those stairs were supposed to go down it's less like lore and more cut gameplay that's what it feels like anyway i guess the only way to go is back here damn i thought it looped around maybe it does yeah also the only version of dark souls 2 that i've ever played is the shitty scholar of the first sin edition where they were like hey uh you know what this game needs yeah put 10 trillion more enemies in it thanks this is where it loops and now i need to do it again let's do it again actually i bet there's an invisible wall here too because from up there you could theoretically jump down to the the bug this is i'll be hunting for jank i'll be trying to get like out of bounds i'm sure there's places in this game where they forgot to put a death barrier like bloodborne i mean at least in in my personal opinion whoa that guy got flung and uh i i've heard this repeated many times on the internet that scholar the first sin is is not looked upon fondly maybe i should equip the long sword huh because if if there's an up-close encounter i just have the dagger right now and don't forget the l2 of my spell casting catalyst yeah they just like added a ton of gank enemies my hair was floating in the void there for a second so a lost undead all right we're close to the dragon or it's it's a hell kite drake grapefruit oh [ __ ] no i wanted to see it spawn in ah that dragon is a promise that is a promise right there you will get your dick knocked off by that thing and then you will maybe not get stick off i guess it's not a required kill huh hmm oh oh that's good that is good i was trying to rest but i forgot you can't rest when enemies are nearby fallout oh god that was not the direction i meant to roll in i'm spam and dodge this is this is bloodborne this is bloodborne instinct this is not bloodborne this is dark souls see the close combat i do not excel at it look at these dodges these sick dodges by the enemy here oh my god absolutely insane oh i should have got that item [ __ ] um i guess i've never done the thing where you like shoot arrows at the drake's no that's a thing um hmm so now what's my next course of action i guess go to the merchant there's a merchant here that sells stuff oh [ __ ] i always try to do that god damn it all right do an attack not dead yeah i should put the long sword hold on put that [ __ ] on there oh uh should i just not be bothering with the shield right now like two-handed catalyst to make it more powerful is that a thing oh oh don't drink wait okay um i guess i need souls to like buy [ __ ] from this guy huh what is this oh it's this oh okay this is around where you do the skip it's pretty nice that it refills at bonfires honestly that's that's good that's good [ __ ] right there yeah i'm actually playing prepare to die edition and uh it's funny because that edition try rolling what oh uh that edition is no longer i think available for purchase it's just not a thing so yeah this is where you do the skip i i don't think i'm gonna do it right now but you like you like jump down onto that little ledge there and then you do a jump from that down to there that little area and then you can survive and it just loads lower undead perk also apparently a a vagrant can spawn in this room apparently vagrants have like set spawn locations and that room right there is where a vagrant it's possible for one to spawn it's like if you get a vagrant in undead burg it'll show up about that during the whole like three hours that i was fighting him repeatedly um are you gonna come in here and like ruin this for me yeah i was like before i talk to this merchant i'm going to kill this guy so he doesn't come in and be like oh god well now why don't you have your wits about you then you are a welcome customer i trade for souls everything's for sale yeah the the parrying thing apparently what you're supposed to do is you're supposed to shield his first insanely fast hit and then you can consistently parry the second one i was trying to do the one that like you literally can't react to because it's so [ __ ] fast and just dying over and over again and if i had just put on heavy armor all i needed to do was pick up the black knight armor that was like sitting right there i knew it was there i just didn't think it would help that much block first attack on his three-hit combo and perry the second yeah i didn't know i just didn't know i simply did not know and i just died over and over the thing is first time i played this game i first tried gwen because i was actually leveled up i guess i had solaire too which made it trivial um and even before that stream i did a practice run and i managed to kill gwyn that time in a reasonable amount of time why am i just going back and forth between these um so bottomless box easy you want that uh [ __ ] i probably should have prioritized getting other things though doesn't he give like the 100 the heater shield oh okay i'll just go grind a little bit more i guess i'll crush a nameless lad do you ever take a don't know if the speed run even [ __ ] counts that was like its own thing because i was using like glitches to get through most of the game there that firebomb actually saved me from falling uh and lark souls i kind of like half played it so i i really don't have that much experience i feel like a ton of people just replay and replay and replay and replay these games and i i've i've got relatively little experience yeah cool cool lock-on moment not getting your health back when you hit enemies just feels bad now look at that guy look at that guy's hand down there you see that right are souls currency well in this world they literally are that's uh i don't think that's an overlooked element that's very much a part of the lore is it not reaching really what the [ __ ] what where characters that are greedy for souls there's i mean plenty of bosses where their whole thing is that they're just like sitting there amassing souls from like miserable people he's stuck i don't mean that one will be like hella buffed it's very interesting um can you hold your own soul yeah that's what they did in the intro cutscene oh god like the the fire the little flames yeah they're like a physical it's a physical thing uh and like the more powerful soul the more brightly it burns so it's assumed that a single soul is like you know the soul of a normal hollow undead attuned magic hold your attacks and people literally didn't even know that there were certain levels of buffs that you could get because they never saw them because it was so uncommon and i think it's a really cool mechanic because it's like it's like faith the the they're all faith spells i think so it's like people who are of the same faith can like increase the power of their collective spell casting that's really cool i'm so sad that that doesn't that's not really functional in the game uh i guess let's just use the extra estes to uh oh god and i'm using the catalyst for this right yeah and look at that why i'm playing this version it had like very slight changes they added like one bonfire and changed a couple graphics and like i think they adjusted jumping or something like that but uh beyond that whoa it's really not much of a change and it's sad because this game really does feel unfinished like there's so much uh and not just in terms of like lore but just in terms of like the game i feel like a more involved remake would be really cool um so uh i would have to do the [ __ ] like change thing every single time i don't want to do that right now i just want like a real weapon that i can actually parry with and then get ripostes just normally walking these guys always walk these guys are literally like one of the first times oh my god one of the first times i ever made like a when you walk in joke was one of these guys because they always do that [ __ ] oh and i have angered the hydra don't lock on to him you scum [ __ ] cool rock um so i guess this is pointless the going down here was completely pointless then i guess i can go down to the valley of the drakes and get that bonfire but like i really wish like just so many tweaks could be made to this game for instance just off the top of my head right now making it so that you can teleport to every bonfire after the lord vessel i don't think that would break the game i i feel like that's a perfectly reasonable thing to want alright grass crest i'm going to [ __ ] get killed nope uh but like can you imagine if you're just able to travel to every bonfire how nice that would be and it really wouldn't like take away from anything that's just one of the things that's just kind of a pain about this game and it's like i appreciate during the first play through that feeling of like the world opening up once you get to teleport but after that having it in there for like replays of the game just feels unnecessary once you've like internalized the layout of the map you know and i'm glad they didn't do that [ __ ] in the other games can you imagine if dark souls 2 and 3 also had that same thing where they only give you the ability to travel like halfway through no thanks only needed to be done once um all right there's actually been i guess lark souls we didn't get the halberd but in the speed run i got the halberd and in my first playthrough i got the halberd and then in this one i got the halberd parrying those black knights is easy like it's it's not a big deal losing there i'm just i'm just salty because usually moves do damage is all i'm just used to moves doing damage in the video game that's that's my only qualm hmm i'm just typically used to games working no i i apparently it just does like negative [ __ ] zero damage when it's not a parry oh wow he followed me all the way up um i don't even know where to go there's so many places to go you know i actually had a safeguard in place when i did the speed run that was like uh it was like a it was like a cheat engine so it was like if i didn't get the halberd there i would just cheat and drop it into the game which is apparently how dark souls speedrunners practice because [ __ ] actually resetting the run every time you don't get the black knight halberd but then on i went through all that work to like set up that program before the stream and then i got good luck on the stream i hit him with the dagger it actually adds health to his health bar fun fact the dagger actually heals enemies all right um so now where am i even headed depths do i want to go lower undead burg depths route hmm weakness jumping off i wonder how many people like managed to cheese it that way their first time it's it's pretty tricky when you don't really get like or when you're new to like how the bosses work and [ __ ] i guess their their ai isn't version of it that only works or it's like the only way you can do it in the remaster or something like that and so i was doing an unnecessarily difficult version when there's like a trillion times easier version hold on no i gotta i'll tell you what i'll do i'm gonna end the stream soon uh but i i want to go perry the pig next stream i will have an actual [ __ ] weapon to use so that parrying things isn't this [ __ ] like do your taxes type process also thank you for targeting the guy behind me in the other room rather than the guy directly in front of me attacking me game thank you you want to target literally anyone else but the pig i'm gonna do it i just need to kill all the other enemies painstakingly and slowly before i can get an attempt at doing this i don't technically need free butt stab on him that's it that is it all right folks now let's let's go off this [ __ ] cliff that was terrible yeah that would be cool and practical practical if it wasn't the one pig in the game and also if uh you know that area wasn't perfectly [ __ ] like fine tuned to the pixel to be the absolute [ __ ] worst that there's more picks but i think that is literally the only one in the game that you can actually backstab right i'm pretty sure there might be one other that you can backstab but all the dukes archives ones have uh have like they have like booty covering that's just as miserable and i think we learned today why nobody knew that that was a thing okay okay well folks i had fun [ __ ] around despite all my screaming about how i'm literally i'm going to die in real life uh but no it's dark souls it's neat uh it is it's it's a flawed masterpiece so it's it's got it's got flaws there are parts that feel clunky and weird but all the cool little details just make it so worth it the fact that you can parry the pig overpowers the fact that parrying the pig is the worst [ __ ] thing ever uh anyway that's that's enough for today i'm gonna go ice my hand and take some [
