I think they're quite well done the order already but yeah going back to the answer yes or as you said the Ferrari of tens of bail jumping into the lead Rob Bell also gaining and so Pedro Lamy I think was the second car to stop research first limeira second and then all the other arms came in and the winner was tender bail he definitely was he good to see it what happens there but you know the Porsche was overtaken but he's sticking on to the maquis sort of locked on to the macula Ferrari well that's really we know he has got the ball in the air made by the Ferrari in front of him so I'm not sure you get close enough to real verdict on the street but he's at least got the slipstream well a great battle that they're having here in the GTE Pro Championships so far this year that has had Silverstone and spa the six hour races for the two of them it is actually the boredom at the pre Oh Harry Tincknell of people's irani that's leading the championship I'm here of course a Ferrari of Davide regal and Sandberg second in the championship but this is Lamont as Alan said at the top of this race this is Lamont double points may well be available for the FIA World Endurance Championship but it's Lamont running down into India this is the left handle this is where you can see a few mistakes coming later on that people any greedy writing a little bit way just getting up one's kicking up a couple of storms there's no break since owners are now as I always found one of the most difficult corners because it was a slowest corner and your bricks were very very hot after the heavy heavy breaking in towards Indianapolis and then you came in there there's a little pump just as you hit the brake going into our notion it was quite quite simple just to lock up no back to the am battle and form and orey's battle for second place this is the Lara competition Corvette chasing the TF sport Aston Martin quick glimpse of that art car there as we come back with this tremendous subtle tussle for 3rd 4th place that Ferrari the Porsche off camber is that left-hander Allen is really not right well it's very off camber and it's a tricky corner and sufen hosen is where porsche and that's valley sir not to Frank Vala so who's in charge of all the customer racing at Porsche and their Zuffa nosiness where the main headquarters own yeah and I know that they've got a big crowd of people there and they've got hands jerking stuck there this weekend presenting to the factory to the crowd over these 24 hours stuck of course a former sports car champion and LeMond winner and one of my teammates and one of your teammates exactly that is the Dempsey Porsche coming in that was the proton racing Porsche coming in this is that appear that's a 26 car that's a car Alex Lynn that was on pole position drusen offers one with her it's being investigated and a little bit of an appearance everything's got rock for those guys who were so quick in qualified but basically as soon as they got into the race then everything is sorted starting to unravel the thing is this category know with so many cars oh there anyone has a problem like Menzies who we saw Gough oh we got a position changed GT arm no Fernando Rees moving up to second we know how quick he is because he pulled away 12 seconds and yeah he's a third place right now because you see that still Townsend Bell is leading that he's just out a shot of what we can see dipping in them the Ferrari and no Rob Bell is in second and Fernando Rees back up to third down to fourth Pedro Lamy in the number 98 Aston are it second third fourth in shot meanwhile let's come back to the GTE Pro Class that looks like yeah third fourth and fifth in class it is ba Guidi estra and mooki Ferrari Porsche and Ford Toyota continue to lead the 2017 LeMond 24-hours one and two it is a 1.2 second advantage ahead of the Porsche that is a very close stuff at the front of that then we've got the lmp2 battle with the number 31 or occur with Bruno Senna he's next up for sure eyes were like so we have to deal with it on the number 95 Aston Martin leads the GTE Pro category that has got Nikki team at the wheel ahead of Darren Turner Aston one two Ferrari then in third position GTE Pro denoted by the green back ground to their numbers very very close indeed for GTE Pro nothing between them at 10 seconds covering the first five people in that class GTE AM is being led by Townsend Bell at the moment in the number 62 WeatherTech Ferrari 488 ahead of Rob Bell no relation third is the Corvette of Fernando Rees the art car the number 50 heads of the number 98 Aston Martin with Pedro's army at the wheel dalla Lana and louder his teammates some problems that we saw for the collars car early on it got back out its way down the order though in position on the for car not having much luck meanwhile this is your leader of lamont it's the number 8 Toyota it drops the baton to weigh me at the wheel and behind it is my Conway closing closing to the tune of point 8 of a second on that last lap yeah he's closing up there and nice I think and mainly through traffic and so therefore he's going to be in a position where it can maybe have an attacking exactly the same way as it happened reverse style when way me over took the lead of this race so that I hear we had Alex Lynn available in the pit yeah we got Alex Lynn available down there and the pits with Louie sanics we saw what happened you saw it you have Minton and why you would have to come back but that was reported to the stewards I don't even know I've been reading in the truck what happened for you sooner what make you have to come in I don't know I've never been listening to the radio so yeah all right thanks rather strange I think if I was in that position in my car it came into the pits in a bizarre way oh they're definitely been finding out what the heck had gone on to this but that car has been reported to the stewards for basically driving the wrong way up the circuit a little bit and then coming in to the pits in an incorrect fashion and now it's got to turn its headlights on not because it's dark but because you have to run with your headlights on no matter rain or shine yeah and it is shining here definitely shining here just one hour of the race gone 23 hours basically still to go as are threading the way through the black markers the pass in the Aston Martin they're just out of casting down towards the Ford chicane now towards the end of the lap [Music] okay into the pits comes the number 31 the rebellion this is the procced canal and sent a car Bruno Senna at the helm just check in the steering wheel looking around probably had his drinks bottle replaced I rather fancy drinks bottled replaced on his left-hand side this is a super slo-mo of him going over the curbs the curbs are not that deep here Alan they're not that aggressive question they're big enough though they're big enough to do some damage and so therefore they've got to be very very careful especially in the Ford chicane because if you jump over there it puts a lot of look through the suspension and you can get up to twelve fourteen thousand mutant meters of force because the suspension actually starts by braking vertically so for all you engineers over there you know that's heck of a lot of force and the design criteria is a little bit less than that so the drivers have to be somewhat careful they've got to think that sometimes is a long race and you have to just take it a little careful at the episode poised for chicane and funnily enough the Dunlop chicane or two critical points and Hanley in with the dragon speed or occur at the moment the number 21 as we come back to the Astra pure greedy baffle yes it is as we ride with the number 92 Porsche new car for 2017 battling against that Ferrari 488 [Music] some lmp2 cars in there one of the g-drive Jota cars the orange car just making its way through as well this PA Queenie Ferrari that's going to have a slap on the wrist and if it's not careful from race direction because it has been told by these the race direction to respect track limits in zone six and its own the free so six is on to the balsams straight 33 is towards the end of the Porsche curves basically the two mini it is Kettering casting if you want to put it in casting as this next left-hander and running white on exit up there going all four wheels over just in came the fact that they did there followed by the Porsche now you're supposed to keep a little bit even if it's like three millimeters of your left-hand side tire on for the circuit as the Ford dips into the pit lane here we see I think a change for the lead Conway has no overtaking and overtaken a blaming so no Mike Conway is back in the lead of the race the poor position car drop down just after the pit stop blasted pass down into Mulsanne Conway back in the lead from the number eight that we are with Sebastien Buemi Adam Ulsan on their way Conway now ahead by 0.4 of a second ahead of the way we Neil Johnny in the leading Porsche is third ahead of his teammate Timo Bernhard who is fourth Nikola Pierre had some damage after a bollard was kicked up by a car in front of him in only the first three corners is in the number nine Toyota is in fifth position 35 seconds back 35 seconds back so a lot of work still to do by that third Toyota yeah still a lot of time to go 22 hours 50 minutes as we can see and it looks like there could be a little bit of a problem for one of the force we saw it ducked into the pit leader as the 66 of Stefan Luca and suspect that there may be a left rear puncture on that particular car he's dropped only still in the pits and that's a very early start for him if it's a puncture the bigger problem I think is not necessarily they'll a pit stop but the restriction in the number of tires that they have they've got 16 sets of tires Olivier player has taken the helm of that number 66 Ford so look out flat in number 24 this is the manner the Orica tore great Hershey a Jeff John Eric burn burn staying at the helm and now they're beginning to feel the heat now they will be beginning to feel the heat the some rubber going on as they put the the rubber on that number 24 Stefan Bucher has got out of the car as I mentioned in the the number 66 Ford so we got Luiz down there with Stefan Booker take it away yes Stefan so you're just having a great look at those tires what happened yeah we had a slow puncture we thought a large left pressure was dropping down quite quickly so we had to stop unfortunately it was right cause real shame the cows are good stuff we do business down us me but it's a good fight so fight so you can't believe you on the 24 hour race quite intense but that's what we want to do in 30 days [Music] Thank You Louise thank you very much water around the outside maneuvers that was by Kevin Astra in the number 92 look at this as we replay on board he was out of shot he was behind the tree he was going so wide around that long right great racing certainly was an for mukha and he said this a long way to go for that for this one of the 12 cars I think could win this race right so when you've got that amount of competitiveness you don't want to drop back for any reason if you can help it you just need to keep in that battle unity place you don't have to be leading it but you just need to keep in the fight as close as you can this is the leading lmp2 car this is Bruno Senna he has a lead of some 19 seconds ahead of Nelson Piquet Jr that's a lot in lmp2 it definitely is a lot than the lmp2 pit stops are no starting again as a few of them are dropping into the pits and Bruno Senna I you know that well yes that is he can't see any bells it is a huge advantage that he had Jarvis was the leader at the end of the first round of pit stops enter the leader at the end of the second round look at this battle for second position in GTE Pro that will have hurt his backside oh dear oh dear Sebastien Buemi that was a big hit it is Nikola lap here actually there and he just got squeezed on the right-hand side coming out of the first chicane bit of traffic he went to those side the thing is he's activated his hybrid boost at that point she basically got a thousand horse motive Unleashed power he unleashes it and then he's got to go somewhere and so pulled to the right hand side you don't expect because he thought testicle there that's a huge pump and the car took off those probably 130 mile an hour sort of burr Marion and you may cycle around the trying you may walk around the track you may run around the track Allen but you can't see that bump when you're walking around the track yeah because it's not on the track because not on the track I'm Cynthia then he told me and it's just as that road crosses and bumps up is quite fortunately it's not that bad but you know it's one of the ones as were no on board where the engineers will be looking straight to real just stop now you can't hear anything they're engineers we'll look at the suspension Lords and they'll also look at the Lord into the back to see if there's anything untoward that they need to be careful she did lift off there though I didn't do that quite flat design I was with him later on I'll see tomorrow they said they're for Nicola it's flat out Nicola the thing is in that car he's obviously had these issues in the first lap and he's probably a little bit frustrated because he's fallen in 37 seconds behind Mike Conway he's on a very similar pace and quicker that last lap 7 & 8 Conway and blow me some sorry also coming very very clear no risk no risk between 78 the race is long you can fight this out in the last hour don't do it in the second hour boys and girls and I right now who Amy's there he saw that they've overtaken twice and they've done it quite cleanly and done it quite tightly the first one was a little bit more risk than the second one but they just want to keep calm on this situation because they've got a reasonable control of their performance but I have to say like in the first race at Silverstone the Porsche was nowhere in qualifying but come the racing just seems to hang on it's sort of hanging on there we knew they'd be better in the hotter conditions but they're doing better than I expected looking back down tail up here again I'm just looking at his last laps I've used the fastest man on the circuit so it was flying he's he's close to cap and he has literally blown blown up the road a little bit further so he's no 35 seconds behind rather than the 37 there you have it first and second in the Lamont 24 hours after an hour and 15 of running oh we've got an op here that is the proton Porsche that's at the first part of the Porsche coach you got the right name you've got the flat out left hander and that's going to be debris so you can see if it comes out of all there's a touch touch you all of the G Drive cars that hits as well and because I'll be there Khalid said of a hit but he was driven off by the lmp2 kinda didn't catch the number of it was one of the G Drive cars well we had the camera in the right place wrong plate there didn't we and and how he didn't get collected nor indeed the lmp2 car in fact it's struggling the Porsche is limping back bodywork on the roof of the Porsche but the g-drive car is in real trouble look at that that's the engine cover that's cut back and the front is completely locked that's a big big dogs breakfast in there but as you say Allen you suspect that two yellow p2 car it there are we - definitely definitely hit we can try and get back hopefully we get back to some pictures of that lmp2 car coming back to the box to see which one it is that's the Carly and the driver looks like he's getting out and that is going to be mass is right Roy set up that is the poor position car that's the car that was being investigated and now he's had an accident and he were collected with the GT car and ultimately both of them went in he can get out the car knee can still do something on the circuit to try to rectify to try to see what isn't blocking the car from running but he cannot go away I think it's from a couple of meters from the car and if he does then he's out and we've now heard from Louise at the Porsche have stopped at the beginning of pit lane he hasn't quite been able to get into the pits so the lmp2 car that has time to make art got caught up with the proton 911 and there's a big mess in the middle of the Porsche curves the whole rear bodywork of that lmp2 car is squashed onto the road it is completely locked Louise what's going on down there in the pits I'm just making my way down to the garage and I've seen that all of the team have runs push it back [Music] Louisiana's got its front wheels completely not early lock so I think in reality being able to push it back is going to be super tough for the mechanics because if the engine can't drive it back I'm not sure if their power is going to be able to do it coming back doji Louie's just got the dolly to take back to the car to get it back to the garage now it is in the pit lane because it's past that white line so it's in the pit lane so mechanics can't push a car in the pit lane they can dolly it in the pit lane yeah yeah I think they can I think of it he's got the engine starting down he's running but right back down to the lead of the race for a second there's all action stations here because here you've got one two and three corn wheat Blaney yani Toyota Toyota and then force her right behind it all within one and a half seconds as they dip down into left hander this is back to the Porsche curves this is only 200 meters from the entrance to the pit lane for that stock G Drive poor positioning lmp2 car so that obviously is going to be going in to the garage the g-drive car that was caught up is struggling to get going the whole tree right of that G Drive erica is really damaged you saw Roman rusinov get out of that number 26 G Drive Jota sport car to try and get it sorted but yeah not gonna work not gonna work oh I think it's going to be very difficult getting that poor psycho it's surely got some kind of shutter damage to it was a fairly large hit it's a big hit big hit right then now then third position in class for GTE Pro we're aboard with Kevin Astros Porsche we're looking back a peg we DS red number 51 the Ferrari yes indeed there it is yellow lights for the GTE class well they fight the to us the Martins ahead are just gradually eking in the gut bigger and bigger Sarah that's written off scar the poor position G Drive LM p2 and that's the team getting ready with quartz or suspensions with a quarter suspension you've got the each suspension area each wheel and we call it a quarter suspension because it's a quarter of the card effectively and they've got the operate the wish board the topic points of which board the whole thing they're ready to plug on basically with the few bolts but I think it's going to be a weak oil before that car gets back if it does and in fact they're pushing it behind the wall so the former world champions in trouble in lmp2 [Music] like with the car in third position Swiss Neil Johnny down the hill underneath the Dunlop bridge the leading three in this motor race covered by three and a half seconds Toyota Toyota Porsche that's a bit of a hit that's on the inside where the Porsche hit and so when he's rebounded off the other side he's gone back into the inside of the barrier and that's where there's this clause on that you can teach us the Neath the time however this battle is on the other side of the circuit that's coming down into the first chicane 205 seven miles per hour as their they brake hard at 100 meter boards then slaughter into the left-hander and throttle run white and then get it back in still flat out don't towards the second chicane this is at the point where you breathe this is at the point where you're like this is at the point where you look on your data display on the steering wheel just to make sure everything is correct all the temperatures make sure that the the actual tire pressures are still at the optimum media use the radio if you need to and sup Porsche yeah it sort of hit you're right Peter oh is that that that is that that let's what do you what can you see of that number 88 poor Joe you saw the covers going on in fact I would say so the team I can tell in their faces the thing you do as you can see a going on Oh shame that's our first retirements from well right it looks like we've got two retirements because of the fishing the other car behind the wall and that looks like my next question is are we going in Wardour Freitas on the radio to all the team is saying that they have to repair that barrier because we've already seen it in qualifying and in practice Barrios needing to be repaired and that was a fairly big hit so we might we might see a bit of war taking place and that's Lausanne yeah we could do because you know it's not the first time that we've seen body as being hit as you see but they do need to be rebuilt it's also not the first time I've seen that barrier being hit at that exact point so if it does it wants a good it probably saw it through your windscreen at some point than you think so then ladies what happened a moment ago are coming together between the g-drive lmp2 car and the number 88 Porsche 911 big hit on one side and then the Porsche going in nose to the other and damaging that barrier this is a view of the aftermath and then the lmp2 g-drive car trying to limp back but it didn't this Porsche 911 did it stopped once it got into the pit lane thought about it then they wheeled it in the garage but the mechanics have had a close look at it and the chassis is too damaged it's over they put the cover on it and after just an hour and 20 minutes of running that's your first retirement here what liván 2017 we've got a slow zone in this part of the racetrack the slow zone here goes from the entry to the Porsche curves to the exit of the Porsche curves and then they have the chance to speed up again before they come down towards the start/finish line a slow zone Allen is is the neutralization of a section isn't it where they have to go on a set speed like a pit lane limiter so that the marshals are not put under any danger yeah fundamentally it's like a yellow flag but an actual controlled yellow flag in terms of they have got a limitation on the speed 80 kilometres per hour from the entry point into the exit point and that allows the marshals to do what they need to do to be on the circuit as you can see the braking is slowing down at the last possible moment because you don't want to lose sign into a slow zone or coming out of us Lausanne but ultimately here's the right thing to do to ensure the safety of the people working on the circuit and actually nobody loses a gap in front of them or behind them the gap in tie-in time stays the same yes however if you happen to be just through the slow zone and then one is given out then yes you can have an advantage over someone that's just coming into the slow zone when it arises and gets calls or sources but that's a little bit like penalties in football over the course of the race of the season then it runs oh here's lap year into the pits this is the card in fifth place last year had some damage early in the race after a bollard was kicked up by a car in front of him and hit the the front of that Toyota that was Nick Tandy down the road in Porsche getting ready to get into his car the number one car that's currently got Neil Johnny at the wheel so number nine in Nico Lapierre winner of this LMP category here 12 months ago back with GTE Pro they fight on still leading GT Pro is the after them nikki team from Darren Turner Kevin Astra in the number 92 Porsche 911 RSR is third battling Swizz I'm Sondra Pierre Queenie Richard Westbrook there and then Samba to bridge a board and a Ferrari though Westbrook and birds yeah Nick through the chicane and the funny one there well not funny ha-ha both car 26 the g-drive car that has all the issues it's got its second report to the stewards this time from the driving standard I'm sure because of that incident with the GT car that we have just seen on replays but also the aftermath of it as well which is causing this slow sort think the reality is he's not going to necessarily have any penalty from that because it looks like as Peter suggested he was open to me on board with the second-place car it is Sebastian four-way me coming down into Indianapolis through the left two gear changes up between those two corners staggering III what's going on here oh that's a Toyota running on that was B way me that's why he'd lost time to the leader and the gap now for second first attack of Conway to be wavy Toyota to Toyota known at Mulsanne corners Queen look he got away with that he just stopped very long yes he got to the gravel trap area very ye just kept the car straight so that all wheels were breaking roll because if you start turning you start locking then so wheel and that's the point where you just go straight into the gravel see it was quite wise there is the number 26 G Drive the rear right suspension is no longer fully connected to the car you rather fancy the only thing that's holding that rear wheel on is the driveshaft look at it wobbling around that's how hard he came into contact with that Porsche 911 RSR when impressive he's got it going to be honest with you but the damage that we'll be doing in to the gearboxes maybe the next shoot that they are going to come across these guys were full they delivered us a plastic ball from start of the beast it's just unraveled and they finished second in lmp2 here 12 months ago loosen up with will Stevens with Rene Rast and the big hit a big hit didn't quite see the beginning of it but maybe a little overeager as we can't be number 8 Toyota trying to get around the simple limping G Drive car he can actually do that because he hasn't entered the pit lane through the 60 kilometres an hour limit when he did that so he's just going in front of us the G Drive car right now and so therefore he could overtake is officially in he's still a circuit I did it once they've got a bit of a slap on the wrist but he's legal to do that as the rest of the lmp2 battle rages leading it is Bruno Senna still 19 and a half seconds ahead of Nelson Piquet Jr into the pit comes the 26 g drive car Roman rusinov it got caught up with that Porsche we catch up with the number 8 for Toyota now 3rd Sebastien Buemi staying in the cars and a Red Bull helmet rather fancy than it is they've got to go for three stints straightaway there's no way they would do anything different so yes they'll stay in the car especially considering lucky ended and so from that point of view they will do and as the Porsche has the more petrol going in the G Drive car obviously gets twisted round and put into the g-drive racing garage for some major surgery on that rear right suspension it was properly flapping around wasn't it that quite compact garage here giving these boys not much room to work with and in fact I'm very sorry please give us some space we've got a lot of work to do very quickly meanwhile the number 8 Toyota has gone out here is the number 2 Porsche of now Timo Bernhard he goes out so it is still Mike Conway leading this race there he is he's 8 now seconds ahead of Neel yani number one Porsche and then burr way me and Bernhard are further back but they've done two stops the leading two of Conway and yannis have only done one expect the leader on the second place car to come in very soon here is your leader running down towards Indianapolis just one thing when you talk about pit stops and it's coming up for a little oh it is suspect on this lap he'll pop into the pits and sudden he's gone a lot longer than his teammates in the previous thought due to the fact he was leading the race and had priority on strategy but there's one thing we were talking about earlier on in GT category was how quickly Porsche a refueling but looking after this in terms of lmp1 Toyota have actually caught up because they're refueling claims that exactly the same here you can see on the left hand side the graphic hard tire that is because it's high temperatures and also 25 laps on the tires so far as you know comes to push curves and that slows on hard on the brake hard on the brakes there's like an invisible barrier there that says now you've got to do 80 kilometres an hour that's just 50 miles an hour whilst the marshals repair the damaged barrier and pick up the debris that has been thrown around the racetrack after the coming together between the Dempsey proton 911 there it is it's in the garage and the g-drive 26 lmp2 car you can see that heavy machinery on the left as we went through that shot and it is clear that they are going to fix that barrier more definitely with it with a heavy machinery there a problem problem is Peter it's actually on top of a bridge so they've got very little space to be able to work because that is a bridge area so you know it's not where I was watching with the Louise on Thursday when Kobe Ashley we were on the low side of the circuit and it's not as if they've got a lot of space that can actually work with as we said and here I was talked about conned me into the bits it's very much like the quick left-hander towards the end of the lap at Suzuka they can't accept the run off because I think that the water works behind and they can't just move the water works and the rest of the racetrack at Suzuka there is some space constraints meanwhile leader of this LeMond 24-hour race comes into the pits the second-place car the Porsche of Neil Yanni comes into the pits as you can see in the background headlights being cleaned while they're cleaning the headlights it's broad daylight yeah but you've got it just clean the headlights it's also air to efficiency you make sure you clean the splitter and all the front of the car because well the flight dots on there to actually create drag and so therefore you want to clean the front of the car that's the first thing that hit there and the car flows through and you've got the maximum potential in speed this is no the level of performance that you're looking at and also cleaning this the front leading edge of the rear wing as well and cleaning the side of that side quad where the number is obviously maybe keeping the air attached through there rather than kicking it on now you've got two things here you've got to have the number visible and the second thing is the door I can't wait aboard with him leader of this race he's on his way he gets back out for his out laps he should still have an advantage at the front of this great let's just check who's our head of a movement is that not well no no no I mean you're like a blessing that's an LMP 232 card yeah it nearly fooled me as well Peter but that second place that's about nine seconds behind as of were great stop for when you consider where your key ID little woman but he is right up behind Conway downstage so that pit stop what in Conway's favor yep 90 seconds of difference snow they blast back on the street and Neal Yanni just a couple of seconds behind as they run out of their second stops that Porsche is still hanging on down the mossad on lap 27 for Sebastien Buemi nine seconds behind the leader in this moto race here though is the lmp2 battle Bruno Senna Nelson Piquet Jr hammer and Tom's he definitely on his get the right numbers on the the two cars this is actually it's sack of yat-zar the second and third because the reason is Bruno Senna at 24 seconds off the road you know it's a no since he got into the lead the fuss around the pit stops disappeared he's leg that he's over here and these guys are scrapping over the rest of the battle for second place between peaky and common D here and that one with Olli Jarvis just a little bit behind Jarvis was the guy that led on the first thinkin look good and he's catching up again after a slow pit stop because the starter motor didn't connect and the slow starting engine through tat Rouge using as much of the slipstream from that aftermarket as possible as we're aboard with gommendy [Music] Alex Brundle prepares to get in his drive dad Martin was hearing about during practice and qualifying former winner of this LeMond 24-hour race he's in that third place card we're talking about their interesting gommendy as a bit of intensity in Alex's eyes for the second view of the years ago was fighting for the lead when the Georgia team that is now driving for one with Oliver Turvey I medulla and heretical back in with Kevin Astra this is the sixth place car in the class so there is six five four three so we haven't seen the pros for a while and Ezra who was running third earlier on has been jumped by the Ferrari super Ari's on the fourth yes the force actually trying to get back in there Richard Westbrook having a little look behind some birds and pure greedy Niki team is not a son of a weaver he followed up the road only five seconds so not far away in reality but a little bit of out of this particular battle or the last real lightest they had you get a strong effect from the camera to see in the those LED lights so that's why it looks like it's flashing but looks like the left rear right of Westbrook's car has actually gone out as well and it should be illuminated by regulations so if that is true and it has it doesn't reconnect then they may have to have a pit stop don't tell them he looks up he's going around there Satan is I'm gonna be sniffing the earthquake getting it done at that point it's not point to the circuit where you really he's locked up and that's Westbrook it looks like guys got to get compromised they're coming down into Arnage locks up the left front still got the inside line but the Porsche are trying to run round the outside and not give it on hard no no westbrook's to experience for that in Miami's run on in the background I think sorry Peter somebody's run on in the background I think it's an lmp2 car as well sorry to interrupt I was just going to say that there Westbrook might have made a mistake but he's not going to be that no just going to give the place away to the Porsche so split those guys up a little bit and they're back on the brakes hard does is a Tiki interestingly the Ford seems to have just pulled away as it came in there how do they measure your speed how does race direction keep an eye on your GPS boys yeah GPS systems a very very cute GPS GPS systems you know when a car is just a little bit off circuit or doing and it's monitored by a young lady there that sends with all those out to the team seeing it or any betting naughty boy right we should see that gaps get a lot larger as soon as you get to the green flag ahead you can see in the distance because of course affordably on the throttle before the Porsche sort actually might have its indicator on that's probably why we're seeing that sort of flashing is not the store it could be is right hand indicated I think it's a strobe we had it in practice qualifying course logical you aren't there yeah I don't know what happened at the start of that yellow zone but they lost a lot of ground it was going in though as well as you said for these guys now back up to full racing speed we're hearing third place lmp2 car 37 is into the pits as we saw as we saw Alex Brundle getting in no common be out frontal in or getting a seat and get the seat in he's still going to strap him in the fuel still going in will the fuel coming off they're getting our tires them so as you could go on it's right but yeah keen to get in keen to get islam on race underway for 2017 ever competitive Alex Brundle ever competitive he's Alex Brundle he certainly is still again one of the dunlop cars oh they're only two cars in lmp2 running michelin tires the rest of all running Dunlop tires back with the manner [Music] which planet is it well when I stand a look at the banner we're gonna look at the GDC pros as the Olympics it comes a good indication of what I were to talked about before those cars all three of them running Linus stands out is third fourth and fifth and in Perl Kevin estra had a pickle drop lost probably in two to three seconds in the last lap with his clothes on I wonder whether he was on the bottom too early slow down too early or I don't know I mean at least when you go into a 30 down on a public highway the line across the road just exactly aligned across the road to the light on the left the s their slow zone but you know that yeah it also has to be a little bit of a leeway as far as the GPS because depending on what side of the track you come from [Music] okay let's catch up with what's going on in the Ford 69 Sandford sambar and Bryan Peregrine in front of him I cannot Richard Westbrook saying what's going on with your assured coming through their frustration I think he feels like he's quicker but he just can't get by them and it as we saw in that last bite into an apple at Indianapolis it pushed him into frustration mistake and he locked up and the port the Porsche had a Gordon but now he needs to concentrate in trying whatever we can to get by these Ferraris just doesn't have the straight-line speed to really launch an attack on them [Music] can't get through here can you question our gnocchi's just hang it through anywhere it's difficult it is difficult and you can tell if you can't pass on the streets then yeah you'd need a bit of help in town eyes you'd need a mistake so we saw last lap but Westbrook didn't make a mistake and the poor still couldn't get through okay and these guys come into the slow zone the lmp2 nearly hit the back of the Corvette's that is the danger because in that Corvette we have a amateur driver and he might have written a bit earlier than the p2 car okay well Gustavo man who says he's driving the number 36 signa Tech Alpena he's out of the car Louise with him we just have to step out the way because they're bringing entire through to the garage so Gustavo we're not used to seeing that from you what happened yeah it's a bit of a shame apologies for the team we had a bit of a small rate issue and I made a mistake and got stuck in the gravel so what can you do we lost quite a lot of time and now all we can do is work hard put our heads down and recover as much as we can fight back we'll do what we can so again apologies azim thank you okay he ran on at the the the Mulsanne corner wasn't it mana says he just ran on as we have the rebellion coming in that was Piquet Jr out of the car and is that kind of a handsome getting in if that nose for TAS besh a task batch getting in the car with that red and white crash helmets an amount will be neck of the day gets quicker a quicker time right just quick recap Conway leads this motor race six seconds ahead of Sebastien Buemi to the Toyota one two here at Lamar Neil Jonny is in third position in the number one Porter and his teammates Timo Bernhard is another 15 seconds back so in other words the Porsches are 14 seconds behind the leader 28 seconds behind the leading Toyota which is the number 7 cast of composition my Conway such race is still in the car then we have got the fifth place is the third Toyota Nico Lapierre is a minute back the unit Valley has lost another 20 odd seconds somewhere um you know when you look at what time he's up there with a lap time so I don't understand where he's lost that time yeah that's something something's gone on there so we are an hour and 44 minutes into this race Toby moody add alongside Allan McNish and pitted on break from Allen thank you for helping us or the start of this race great dark it boiling off out there I could feel the heat coming through the window of this commentary box I think you'll get a disappearance about he's in the moment time yes gonna have a little run down to the pits and see what's going on down there I'm sure there's going to be a few smiling faces feeling that their cars very competitive and a few less so already of stock problems quite a few people having incident than the actually probably shouldn't had at this stage of the race any surprises in the race for you so far or about middle of the road well surprise is the performance of Porsche I think is better than expected in terms of being able to keep up with the Toyotas especially when you looked at the qualifying lap that could be actually did but also the other thing is Bruno Senna in lmp2 26 points six seconds lead that he pulled out in the last one 19 20 laps and so from that point of view that's another surprise what shouldn't have been a surprise is the fact that the GTE program is one of the most hotly contested this one not poor position car shouldn't be in the middle should be on the track ah we got Westbrook havoc ago Westbrook having a go as he gets through gives him a bit of a wiggle and he gets through ahead of the Ferrari get out of the way says Richard Westbrook so he's got ahead of Sam bird he's now got Pierre Queenie in front of him so he's up to fourth in the class for GTE Pro Nikki team Darren Turner asked the Marten up and I'll be the leading so third fourth and fifth rushing past that camera set into the curb on the exit of our nagy well his frustration meter from a lap ago yeah has come forth he's most of did make that move yeah I don't know where into the yellow zone again no there slows on so they're back down to 80 key eye right there you see you see them break hard so there's a yellow flag and then there's a double yellow flag and that's when they go to the ATK indeed as Bruno Senna comes out of the leading lmp2 car and getting in is Nico Prost it's got to be a procced look at the eyes that you can see they're just like his dad but Nico Prost got a 29 second lead handed to him by Bruno Senna yeah partner back to Bruno for that great great for sense or a first couple of cents changing over to nickel instead of the tunnel tires going on that's our suspect another hard set because of the temperatures outside it's warm out there the Sun has moved around towards the front of our commentary position but it's dead square in front of us as we overlook the exit of the varnish cans the pitlane entry it's going to be very warm indeed for these guys as they get in that car and and of course through a slow zone peter thus less air going through over and through the car and the heat but just rise by 10 50 degrees jump on flowing out well as the thing you know the coolest the coolest time is when you're at full speed if you come and sit in the pits as a driver and you're not going to make a driver change is so unbelievably hot so you just want to get back on track and get up to full speed as soon as possible and get that air circulating through the car we've got the 51 in the pits now here we D so we're seeing the second pit stops of the front-running GT Pro cars pure greedy out so that releases Westbrook who was behind him who hasn't stopped yet so he no up to third place the Aston Martin of course of a team and Turner both him one and two number 91 Porsche in mcavee key getting out slamming the door for these GT cars they do tend to be able to make a longer stint than the throat they're sorry the pea cars generally you can do an hour on a set on a tank of fuel in a GT car by the way even though pierre Guidi has come into the pits got out of the car he's got a proper wigging from race direction black and white flag for him for the hospice abuse of track limits meaning and meaning that he's been using a bit too much he's been sticking all four wheels over the white line on the exit of of our corner there's several corners will you gain around here one of them being said Roush the other one being karting we're just at the end of the Porsche curves so there are areas where you can gain and gain a few kilometers an hour and obviously the officials have caught up with him he's the first one to get a warning as far as I can see I'm surprised out of that actually because they're very hot on that so either everywhere all the drivers are behaving themselves or they're just being giving giving them a little bit more leeway but that's the first warning so we're seeing the 98 Aston Martin now in the pit larmy out looks like Paul Paul dalla Lana the Canadian getting in their car strapping himself in the mechanic just checking everything's alright tightens up the belts in they go the left hand the left shoulder strap going over the beach Dean Aston Martin comes in in front of him still in gte-am it is Townsend Bell leading from rodbell that's Ferrari leading from Aston Martin third in classes will Stevens at the number 880 for JFW motorsport Ferrari 488 interestingly with arm cars we saw there for another reason the number 50 clearly the fastest driver in that car but he's handed over to teammate Ron Delano and he's dropped down the order somewhat fair bit slower than his teammate so kind of threw them out often of contention now and they've handed over to the faster pairings of attends a bell and a Ferrari and Rob Bell and the us environment of course the 98 car of Pedro Lamy Paul dalla Lana being one of the fastest bronze drivers on the track so that's another favorite for a potential GT on victory we're on board with Thomas Laurent he's fourth in class at the moment in lmp2 John Eric burn is in the number 20 for the manner that seeds lmp2 by 30 odd seconds they had an eco Pross new second vataj fresh third thomas Iram in the number 38 as I said is in four big rubber going off big rubber going on we have that is that the Eurasia car can't tell okay well Bruno Senna did a superb job in lmp2 he's just got out of the car he's put his teammate Nico Cross in the car the weeds we got Bruner with you he's just eating a banana so him just yet we'll never get energy with the pink of the yellow Corvette so it has to be a banana that's going on we'll give you a moment we come back to you in a moment I mean I understand in the meantime as that Corvettes in the BG pro bass comes up to the slow zone that a young Magnuson who is quite a way back in 9th position at the moment still we are repairing some barrier on the right hand side of the screen with that that that hydraulic digger device that rammed the posts in after those are coming together between the G Drive between 672 cars and the proton racing Porsche 911 that at the time for had output crazy at these these guys on their barrier repairs are obviously getting better and better faster and faster we saw about a 40-minute delay in practice when they repaired the barrier there it looks like a similar barrier repair needed here so possibly 35 minutes and it had to go to five minutes of the last repair so I would expect another ten to fifteen minutes and a chute hopefully that yellow zone can be gone looking at Marcus Sorenson no he's in the lead Aston Martin well Westbrook actually the last one to stop so Westbrook is actually in the lead for the moment but the Aston Martin 95 has already stopped and changed from Nikki team over to Michael Sorensen so it's expect Westbrook within a lap or two to be able to come in probably hand over as that seeks to one of his core drivers and Sorenson to take the lead back again in the 95 after mark fishy now in the Ferrari Giancarlo Fisichella as he makes his way out of the pits but if we go down to the pit Louise has got Bruno Senna well Bruno you've just been congratulated sorry if you've had some rude words and and great performance I had the guys mega the team is doing a great job I got lucky with the traffic as well the first 15 so everything is working I think we just have to make sure that we keep our nose clean it's a long long way so it's great to have a good first stage but there's a long way to go but I'm happy because it gives a great job and I can do popped up on the car and there hopefully we didn't approach it like this how do you think ahead for the next 20 hours you looking to get as much of a gas as you can yeah we were pushing not too extreme I'm not taking you with take care of my car because I know that it takes a big toll it's on the car if you're being too aggressive so yeah I'm just trying to make sure that everything is under control one between the time for the hammer down comes in the end Thank You Louise and thank you Bruno sellers has very content with the first part does he likes doesn't he like that's a good way to be he's um it's got a wise head on those shoulders he's done this race a few times already and he knows he knows what it's what's required to to take it through to the end of the reason to have a result and we're also hearing from Louisa Louie just give us an update on what Brenna said about the tires you just stopped Mary asked him how are they because we know that some of the M&P food may be struggling with tire wear but he was quite happy running well that's good that's good for the tire because Peter the you know track temperature got to be into the fifties if not for higher than 50 51 degrees Celsius that's that's Malaysia that's the circuit of supplying Heat yes fruit it's something that the you know you may be used to for a short amount of time here before it rains but a you know for the sustained day after day after day and the heat soak into the surface of the of the track just gradually heats up heats up and it keeps it in there until well into the evening time so it's something that the teams haven't dealt with much before they haven't had to run these hard tyres quite so often so you know it's a real socket and see for some of the teams and now we're looking at blow zone we get a good indication of how that slow zone works and how everyone jumps on the brakes and then it's very easy for someone to be not concentrating and maybe tag the back of another car so a problem in the pits for the 69 car I don't know what are we going on there there isn't try to get him out get him out get him out that's West breasting so he was the leader and he's just come in pitted he'll be fuming in that guy well as he just run on as he gone through but another putting it in the garage he's on the dollies getting him out I was getting out Louise perhaps we can the leader as Peter says yeah of the GTE Pro car class and this is the new leader coming through this is Sorenson taking the lead in the Aston Martin well we always expected them to do that anyway but we didn't expect Westbrook to be spending this amount of time so they are doing a driver change now they've taken the dollies away and now they're putting the fuel in the seems to be a bit of confusion as to what was going on you know releases looked that way from this well yeah definitely all the hard work that Westbrook put in to overtake the Ferrari of some Borden and move up the order and then briefly take the lead he is now going to lose that and gradually slip back down the order so now he's already down to six okay well Louie he's down there in the piece he got Olly Jarvis he's not a super job in that number 38 Jackie Chan DC racing Orica what's he got to say well Oliver Jarvis it was a great start for you but then you have you written up in stop yeah really happy you know with a start everything you know to lead the race is fantastic just out of trouble but unfortunately when we came in for the pit stop just wouldn't start and I think we lost about 30 seconds so really disappointing but you know we're back up the b3 long race and we're looking quite strong thank you a link everybody Thank You Louise we briefly touched on you know what what would happen when the cars came into the pits obviously we've already talked about how what it is over there the cars are run fairly coolly as a going flight but as they come into the pits we get this this heat sock which gradually sucks through the car and I just wonder whether the fact that their car didn't start with something to do with the fact that it was just so hot yeah you're you're on the money I mean Peter was talking about it before we started the broadcast you know the heats like the heat soak it is roasting here at Long look at the heat haze just look at the heat haze down that back section we're hearing from the weeds at that number 69 has got rolling has it Louise yes I just got to the Ford Garret and they've gone back out on track for the 69 in any clue as to why I'm a bit of a hesitant moment in that I had I have just got here so I wrote in there and brushing you off your simple piece okay okay the Ryan Briscoe is taking over the world I'm warming down there no contact
