games get to the Super Bowl as a goal the Ravens and Lamar felt like last year was the year to win it all falling short means this year carries even more importance and the season feels closer as you see right there to starting the rookies reporting to camp tomorrow in Baltimore so welcome to NFL live glad to have you here Mina kimes is with us Bill Barnwell should be joining us soon and then a little bit later on we have Tyreek Hill in studio don't miss that there's a lot to get to and we'll get to that later but first let's start Mina with Baltimore and everything going on there okay the Ravens biggest splash came in the backfield in the offseason and their editions Baltimore signed two-time rushing champ Derrick Henry from the Titans and Henry joins an offense that has already led the league in rushing three of The Last Five Years Baltimore did lose four of their top six players by snaps played including a trio of starters on the offensive line and defensive coordinator Mike McDonald left to take the Seahawks head coaching job so mea the Ravens came up short just short of the Super Bowl appearance last season what is the key for them to make another Deep Run in a loaded AFC across the board yeah I'll start with the offense Laura because as you alluded to they were incredibly productive last year on the ground I suspect adding Derrick Henry to that mixture will not hurt but they did face or they are going to face pardon me some losses of talent particularly on that offensive line three of the five starters are gone so you're going to count on their Replacements to step Step Up potentially a rookie Roger rosengarden who was excellent at Washington by the way didn't allow a single sack his final two seasons but still that's a big adjustment for them uh that said Lamar Jackson was fantastic Under Pressure last year you saw how because of his rushing ability fourman rushes when they didn't get home were off is often devastated by his ability to scramble in those situations or just evade pressure and find guys downfield so I have confidence in his ability to help maybe mitigate some of those issues on the offensive line particular early in the season as well as Todd monin calling up um or pardon me calling an offense that compensates perhaps for some of those challenges yeah we'll get to the defensive side of this as well as we welcome in Bill Barnwell glad to have you here bill for the remainder of the show what are your thoughts as you look at this Ravens team some of the additions that we just referenced I'm really excited about Derrik Henry's fit in this offense because of what Lamar Jackson can do to make him better without moving a muscle Derk Henry's core run the think he does best is outside Zone everyone does it but Derrick Henry hasn't had much space the last couple years to get that run executed last year 35th in the for First Contact guys were getting to him right at the line of scrimmage lar Jackson can help by being a running quarterback even if he doesn't actually keep the football himself we've seen efficiency numbers Spike for running backs next to rushing quarterbacks because they have time they have space and they occupy Defenders Lamar Jackson when he hands the ball off Derrick Henry is is going to occupy linebackers who can't flow to the football because they're afraid lar Jackson's going to keep it that backside defensive end the guy who runs down the line take away the cut back on outside Zone well Lamar Jackson is going to terrify that guy because if he chases Derrik Henley Lamar Jackson is going to run right past him for a big game so it's going to give Derrick Henry more space to work with maybe help get him back to his Peak years in Tennessee you got to think Derrick Henry's excited about it guys one thing to look out for three of the Ravens first four games are actually against division winners from last year they start of course with the defending Champion Chiefs in just 55 days that opens the season September 5th hey the esps were last night Mina K is in attendance by the way a trio of NFL players took home Awards speaking of Lamar Jackson he won best player for catch best player for his catch in the AFC Championship Game the MVP caught his own pass best play excuse me um after it was baded in the air he picked up 13 yards Patrick Mahomes took home best male athlete Patrick Mahomes won his third Super Bowl MV P leading the Chiefs to the first repeat title in 19 years and then Jaden Daniels was named best male College athlete the LSU quarterback became the school's third Heisman winner going from an unheralded Prospect of course to the second overall pick in April's draft Daniels earned that Heisman with one of the best dual threet seasons ever he averaged over 412 total yards per game an SEC record and he also led the FBS in both yards per pass attempt and yards per Rush attempt with his 11.7 yards per pass average setting a single season FBS record the Commander's quarterback was featured on this week's Hard Knocks as he went through the pre-draft interviews with the Giants erase that Z make them the F race the X and make him the Z race the W make him the X race the T and make him the H ready yep gun trolley right 64 house xn give it back to me NOP don't look at it oh you want me give it back to me how we call it the whole play yeah going Charlie right house FN okay xn xn that's okay and then if it's cover one what do we want you to do probably all right I like that answer I love that stuff uh mea you see the confidence there from Daniels how can the commanders set set up their rookie quarterback for the most success this season well Laura you alluded to how successful Daniels was as a dual thread both working from the pocket as a passor but also on the ground and I think for Cliff Kingsbury as the new offensive coordinator tapping into that dual threat ability but finding the right balance is going to be Paramount for his success early on I should start by saying if this offense does not have a strong designed quarterback run component you're not using Daniel's abilities he was unbelievable as a runner and and many of the things we saw Cliff do with Kyler actually in Arizona uh you could easily see him doing with Daniels the use of draws Zone read QB power Daniels can do all of it and his ability to do so will not only uh lead to explosive plays on the ground but clarify coverages because defenses will have to play this run game differently that said you don't want to overdo it and that's obviously true of any Young quarterback you don't want to subject them to unnecessary contact but it's especially true of Daniels given his diminutive size honestly so I think for Cliff and for this Commander's team as a whole especially one of course haunted by what happened with Robert Griffin theii years ago finding that balance with the QB Run game is going to be so important and honestly quite delicate yeah and I think protecting Daniels is going to be Paramount here not just in terms of the offensive line but also in the way they structure this offense uh Cliff Kingsbury going back to his time with Kyler Murray in Arizona they were empty they so nobody in the backfield at the fifth highest rate of any offense in football over that stretch and you can do that with a great offensive line you can do that with a very decisive uh you know quick thinking quarterback Jen deniel is fast and he's thinking but he's going to take a lot of hits if you don't protect him and so I wonder if this offense maybe has maybe more two tight end sets with Ben cinate and Zack Zs coming in I wonder if they have maybe some more six-man protections built in maybe some six offensive lineman on the field and maybe more motion they were the most static offense in football during Kingsbury's time in Arizona and that gives you an opportunity to make the defense communicate adjust on the Fly maybe prevent you from getting those kind of you know exotic rushes that NFL defense coordinators love to hit young quarterbacks with yeah there's so many things Mina when you think about this Commander's offense and what it could look like I I'm curious your thoughts on the addition of Austin Eckler to this offense uh I'm so sorry laor I couldn't hear you there oh I'm curious Mina your thoughts on the addition of Austin Eckler in that Commander offense yeah I I think it's it's an interesting addition because um you know eka had a Down Season last year and I think at this point in his career he's maybe not best served as the primary running back between the tackles grinding out tough yards but what he does bring to this to the table here in addition to his pass catching ability uh his ability to be an outlet for Daniels is his work in pass protection the fact that he can identify blitzes he's a young quarterback's best friend in that regard Bill talked about some of the issues with the offensive line to have a player like Eckler back there he's not a six offensive lineman but he really helps in pass protection and it will help the quarterback I think in ways that maybe we don't often think about when we look at the number no one better than Mina kimes even when something else may be in her ear she's still going to talk about exactly what I asked all right guys some sad news to report here Monty kein who coached for more than 50 years in college and the NFL and his father of course of uh Old Miss head coach Lane kein died Thursday at age 84 kein was most known for his 13 years of course as the defensive coordinator with the Bucks where he teamed up with Tony dunie to help build the the quote Tampa 2 scheme which of course helped them to a Super Bowl win in 2002 he served as a model for several other teams and he had been a defensive analyst for his son's team since 2020 you see some of that reaction pouring in from all over the football World Hall of Famer Ronde Barber who played on that bucks defense wrote the man stood tall behind us all true greatness personified another Hall of Famer from that bucks defense Warren Sap writing in part we're going to miss you big kein thanks for everything and then 49ers GM John Lynch saying a Hall of Famer in his own right who played for kin of course he said this I love that man and I'm so indebted to him Monty had a unique enthusiasm for Life football and family he also had a passion for coaching and helping people like myself become the best version of themselves he was a great listener he listened to his players he was a funny man as well and he loved people I missed that man that group why not all right time to see what's on Trend around the NFL I'll give you a stat analyst will tell you if the trend continues this fall today's theme the quarterback's playing at the American sentury Championship why not we start with Los Vegas where uh excuse me where uh the Saints Derek Carr had an up and down debut season at many of his struggles coming against better opponents right Carr threw 21 of his 25 touchdowns against teams that entered at or below 500 against winning teams he averaged less than six yards per attempt and the Saints lost four of those five games so Mina do you expect this Tren to continue for Carr I do I'm a little concerned because part of the reason big part of the reason why Carr struggled against good teams last year was his play Under Pressure when he was unpressured uh kept clean he actually ranked 10th League wide in qbr 74 when he was under pressure he dropped to 25th with a qbr of 9.6 he plays behind an offensive line that is being be rebuilt which makes that split very concerning I will say though uh some optimism NFC South not the best pass rushing division so they still win games and get good performances from him despite that let's go to Jacksonville where Trevor Lawrence was off to a solid start last year but suffered an ankle injury in week 13 against the Bengals and saw his season Crater from there over his final five games Lawrence ranked bottom 10 in qbr in yards per attempt he also missed the first game of his career after picking up additional injuries to his right shoulder and finger so Bill if Lawrence is healthy can he get back to being the quarterback we saw at the beginning of last season yes I think he can get back on track and the receivers they add in this off season will help by clarifying things a bit last year things were very muddled in Jacksonville a lot of guys who wanted to play on the inside in the slot just didn't really have those receivers on the outside to really fit so this off season they made major additions Gabe Davis perfect Z receiver with his speed Brian Thomas big fast classic X receiver Christian Kirk now can be in the slot full-time Evan inam can move around a bit really feels like they have some clarification on where the receivers are going to be and that might make Trevor Lawrence's life easier especially in the Red Zone where they were below average last season to Tampa Bay where after a rocky 2022 season Baker Mayfield was the most improved quarterback in the league last year Mayfield ranked last in total qbr two years ago with the Panthers and Rams but saw that figure Jump by 28 points last year with the Bucks and that was more than double the next largest jump in qbr last season Mina can Baker keep up the production in year two with Tampa I think it can because what you saw last year with Dave Canales who is a big loss for Tampa was their offensive coordinator now uh the coach of the Carolina Panthers is he got him to play with better habits uh he was playing better in the pocket he was staying in the pocket he was throwing quickly at his lowest average time to throw of his entire career he put him in the gun he put him in empty quite a bit and I suspect that with Liam Cohen who takes over his offensive coordinator we will see a similar approach and I think because of that because this offensive line is good and added to it in the draft we will see a similar Baker Mayfield to the one we saw in 2023 this is kind of crazy this is going to be Baker's eighth offensive coordinator in his eight-year career and by the way he's going to stick around for a while I'm going to ask you some serious stuff but what do you think about that edit there with the cheetah like spliced into you doing cool things that was kind of cool man that was real cool but I'm real I'm I'm really excited to see how good my thighs look on TV I I was looking at the the screen they look real good on TV do we need to get a closeup look at them thigh look at them thigh like that look at that right there all right we're going to leave that there um what do you think about the offseason the Dolphins have had so far Tyreek you know what I I believe that we had an A+ off season yeah you know you know the reason being um is because Chris Greer and our head coach Mike McDaniel those guys went into the offseason and was like we we are going to correct a lot of things um obviously offense off offensively we were missing you know a few key pieces um it's it's going to be tough you know um considering the fact that we were the number one offense last year but obviously every team has you know improvements things that they can get better at and for us um things that we can get better at that sticks out to me is third down situations you know adding the guy like Odell Beckham you know being able to beat you know one-on-one coverage going against you know the third corner is is going to be a huge Advantage for our offense and no other guy I feel like can like step into that role and like take ownership of it um just like Odell would be able to what have your conversations with Odell been like so far um those conversations have always started out about speed theyve always started about hey man I in New York I would have got you cheetah I would have got you man but um it's it's it's all fun man you know you know to have you know that kind of you know codery you know inside of inside of the locker room man it's it's always fun to have like competition you know with the guys like that man um so having o is is going to be huge for us you know Tu is excited he adds even more Weaponry to an already stacked offense he's looking for a new deal what would your message be to Miami fans and people out there about this particular deal when it comes to Tua um I would just say just stay patient you know um both sides obviously know that we need you know well both sides know that they need each other you know um Dolphins knowing that they need qb1 and um to know knowing that he wants to stay in Miami so um just stay patient man like I I feel like whenever it's time to sign the deal you know it's going to come out and everybody's going to be happy you know Tu is going to I feel like Tu is not a very selfish guy everybody knows that um he loves his team he loves his teammates um and he and he wants to keep all all of the guys together you know what I'm saying because he understands that if he signs a deal where you know it's friendly or people would say friendly he would be able to keep a lot of people around him and um be able to like continue the success on down the the line um for the organization man so I'm hoping he becomes the highest paid though cuz he deserves it man like if you understand like where to is come from and and just you know um from from his time getting drafted to now um just that whole path and just everything he has he has had to overcome from coach after coach after coach hey I feel like it's one of those Cinderella stories for real and and just I think it's truly amazing man so he deserves it yeah I think that's well said you see all that guaranteed money for those quarterbacks on the screen how about the wide receiver market right now though it's exploding it's blowing up it is blowing up man and and that's real good too though um and for me man I kid from South Georgia from from small Pearson Georgia man being able to like you know set the market whenever it was 30 um I was real I was real happy for that and now that Justin Jefferson has created a whole new like wave of 35 million it's like yo this is crazy man so I'm really excited to see where the market goes from here because you still got guys like C lamb you guys got guys like Jamar Chase who still hasn't signed so um it's fun man it's fun to see the league continuing to grow see the league continue to you know put money into other positions man so it's it's definitely fun yeah you have an out actually in your contract after next season with the with the dolphins what have your conversations been with them about a new deal so that maybe you could reset this whole thing again man I just told my agent man I said look don't get me traded this time I don't want to leave Miami I love Miami man so whatever it takes man like um just like I I'm very content with where I where I am right now um I love the team I love the head coach I love the organization man um just the way that um I'm able to you know take my family everywhere and just you know um be the guy that you know I want to be like be my own person so um I I don't want to leave I'm very content with where I am so if if they just decide to like keep me where I where I am I'm content but if they decide to you know say re we going to give you a pay raise there you go man but I know I know it's going to happen so all I got to do is just stay the course focus on winning games helping this organization you know when you know in January February and I feel like everything will pay off that was good you were talking right to the front office right there it's very well said um hey guys okay one of the great things about this Miami team is the way that Mike McDaniel designs this offense and he does so much with you in mind what would you say about his creativity when it comes to play calling and designing the offense you know what it's it's a lot of fun to watch it's a lot of fun to watch right but being a part of it is not like the funnest cuz when you watch you know our offense there's always like a fast guy motion and that particular fast guy is T typically myself you know what and a lot of people don't understand that I be so tired like I be like I'm running a route before the play starts it's like you send me in motion all the way to the left and then I got to run a a 17 yard comeback and go and it's like but it's fun though you know like once you like understand like his mindset and like his whole philosophy of it you know what I'm saying it's it's it's it's absolutely fun and and like I we know each and every week like we got to be prepared to like add a new play into our Playbook cuz he's going to bring like something new from another team but he's going to spin it in his way to make it the Miami Dolphin Way and that's the fun part about it man because you're always learning in this system yeah um I'm going to have you read the next question here it's on the screen since you're you are working on the prompter reads and this let's read it and then you can answer it too okay your team is loaded with speed so who are the Miami Dolphins would win a 40 yard dash if everyone competed who would it be it would be me of course it would be me of course it doesn't matter how old I am or how much I weigh I would I would be the guy to beat every single one one of those guys Devon a chain Raheem moster Jaylen wad jayen Wright Jaylen Ramsey jayen Phillips you you bring the whole list of jayb in the NFL I'mma beating them you feel me look at you look at you out there oh that's uh moard getting ready to go there now listen mostard um he's really really fast you still think you're going to beat him in the 40 oh yeah for sure okay I mean just look at the 40 times all right well one thing that I know you're really good at is touchdown celebrations because you score a lot of touchdowns you guys have a ton of fun on the field in Miami many of these have gone viral for Creative celebrations that you guys come up with let's take a look at some of them we're going to start with your backflip this is unbelievable to me to be totally honest is it hard to stick the landing with pads and a helmet on um it is not hard to stick the landing because guess what what you're so you're so amped up and so fired up that you know the intensity and you know all of the emotion like it gets you going what that was like a back handspring into a back flip yeah how' you learn how to do that that's a beautiful thing to see but it's still raw though like you can tell like from the the techniques that I got like I'm still learning how to do a back flip how about how about the waddle from jayen waddle you ever tried to recreate that yourself like little waddle or anything you I tried to recreate it but he's done that so many times and perfected it in his own way that I feel like you can't you see most of he like see Wadd he got the perfect Penguin waddle he does he knows it well he knows it well another teammate of yours rahee moard who we've referenced a few times here he goes with the surfing celebration it is pretty cool he was offered a surfing contract in high school how would you do if you tried to Surf like this have you ever tried this oh look there it is there you go see see look as you can tell I was like surfing for real though you didn't you do that ever I just feel like I don't have like the the mental balance to go out there and surf you feel me but and plus I'm I'm afraid of sharks too so oh same uh what about former teammate Mike giki who he did this gritty which I don't know some people thought this wasn't as bad as other people thought I I actually think he did okay but what how would you grade it I would say and this gritty right here Mike Mike jiki was not listen listening to right foot creep he was listening to oh my darling Oh my darling that's his gritty right there so you got to keep working on that gritty Sicky we we got the whole family here too by the way and they're up there grying let's get now who is this oh this is my oldest son right here this old let's do the gritty let's see time hold on two time real quick two time oh yeah get it get it two time real quick let's see the gritty what's the gritty hey hey anybody else want to do it we got more in here anybody else want to do the gritty come on down y'all oh my God that's so cute you guys are good hey you got any critique or do they look pretty good I think you know what you know what I think those gritty that's some those are some good gritties and they learned from Justin Jefferson oh look look look pretend like he's hurt he's hurt makeer Mayfield all right listen oh hey hey we're on Tyreek you also by the way read that really well to lead into your piece um take us through the reasoning for your list please um top two are a stick you know top two are a stick um we all know that uh Patrick Anda are the top two quarterbacks in the NFL let's go you know what I'm saying so you got Josh Allen you got Joe bro you got a lot of great guys man but I feel like people got to understand who I am as a person I'm a troll if you go to my Twitter bio it says I enjoy starting stuff then leaving so I started a whole upro then I left yeah I mean we're making you keep going with it um all right so you did mention this Josh Allen and Aaron Rogers both not on the list is it because they're in the division or what was the nah nah nah n see look like I said like I just love trolling people and and making people mad that's it like I knew all the Bills fans was going to say yeah you you know Josh Allen owned you so that's just the fun part of it just getting people riled up I'm sure Bill's fans like that impersonation of them all right since we got Clarity on your list which is good it's time for a segment we call Lost in Translation we thought this would be a whole lot of fun with you we're going to show you something and Tyreek you're going to tell us what it really means so this is a special version of the segment because it's all about your head coach Mike McDaniel let's start with this from week two last year against the Patriots McDaniel after his halftime interview just ran away from the cameraman what's going on here he's pretty fast though yeah he is pretty fast um this was one of those moments where right before the half he was like hey Ricky you want to see how fast I am I was like yeah what is he about to do what is he about to do and then he pulls this off runs away from the cameram man he should have gave a pie on though it the guy trying to follow him like come on man slow it down all right next up is this from McDaniel the week after his first win as an NFL head coach actually get I get more sleep um now than I did uh in in my past Endeavors what did he say um it's partially because I it didn't matter I I would I mean I used to be able to uh really push it from game day to almost Wednesday without showering now that would be obvious um I can't hide all right so he's saying that he wouldn't shower from game day to like Wednesday should we be worried about his hygiene or is that no that's want I feel like that's what you want as a coach though like that's the mentality you want you want a guy who's willing to stay in the office without showering doesn't care about his hygiene willing to put in the work that carries the the the the draw up the necessary plays to win for the next week and don't get no sleep love the guy you love it I would love to play for that guy optional good thing you do play for him um next up is from January 2023 when McDaniel was asked about the pingpong table being removed from the facility now I'm out of the loop have no idea um and I think I got uh somebody mentioned something to me um maybe the end of last week or maybe yesterday I can't even remember I was like Hey the ping pong table is gone I was like oh really where's the ping pong table that's what I want to know who stole the ping pong table was it a thievery did you guys ever get to the bottom of this is there a new ping pong table at the facility somebody steal this thing what happened you know what's crazy the ping pong Theory like we never found out what really happened to the ping pong table like so here's my assumption I I feel like Conor Williams took out ping pong table and now he's left the team so now I have no access to like get in contact with him Connor I mean I I don't know this could be it do you want to send a message out to him to get that ping pong table back yeah Conor Williams I need i e either we need you to sign back or give us our ping pong table back which one you want to do I rather you sign back though I'm confused about how one would get out of the facility with like a whole pingpong table and nobody would notice but maybe he's that sneaky all right still ahead thanks to Tyreek for being here A whole lot of fun with you the Bears have added a surplus of talent this offseason one of our analysts believes they might have the best skill group in the NFL stay right here more NFL live through three are in the exact same order as last year Travis Kelce George KD and Mark Andrews in all five years this survey has been held Kelsey and KD have been the top two tight ends in either order so time now for some quick reads let's go to Bill Barnwell first who is the tight end not in that group that you think could have a big year this season I believe in Sam leaport of the Detroit Lions for what he did as a rookie 889 receiving yards but the bigger number here for me is 10 touchdowns there are three guys in history who have had double digit touchdowns in their rookie season Mike dicka Rob grony and Sam lorta two Hall of Famers and a guy off to a great start in Detroit I'm a big fan of cardinals tight end Trey McBride after Kyler Murray returned to the lineup last year he was fourth amongst all tight ends and receiving yards per game he had zero drops he has in my mind the total package he's a good route Runner he's he's athletic he has speed and size and as evidenced by the lack of drops good hands I think he's going to break out even more this year and will benefit from the presence of Marvin Harrison Jr at wide receiver yeah good reminder that they did draft Marvin Harrison Jr Bill what needs to happen for the Cardinals to get the most out of this offense this season well Kyler is going to be closer to 100% off of his tour in ACL and they really have to hit more deep throws I believe to get the offense going we saw a lot of underneath stuff last year and to Fair they didn't really have a lot at wide receiver after Hollywood Brown got hurt but Kyler Murray only attempted about two and a half deep throws per game last year and he was 29th in the NFL in qbr on those deep passes so Marvin Harrison Jr you got to figure helps that a tiny bit maybe gives them a little more to work with getting downfield more big plays for Kyler Murray in the offense opens up stuff underneath as well yeah let's get to the Bears uh they traded for longtime Chargers wide out Keenan Allen and signed Eagles leading rusher DeAndre Swift in free agency then they drafted Washington's ROM Odun ninth overall that gives them a top three of DJ Moore Allen and Odun at wide receiver all that makes up one of the best supporting casts in the league for first overall pick Caleb Williams and earlier this week Bill Barnwell ranked all 32 teams by their running back receiver and tight end units no surprise to see the ners repeat as number one in this year's rankings Tyreek Hill and the Dolphins checked in at number two and then number six that's the Chicago Bears at that this they're up from 17th in these rankings last year Mina what do you want to see from Williams to know that he'll be able to capitalize on being surrounded by this talented skill group that bill has focused on here you know Laura one of the reasons why I love the fact that the Bears have surrounded Kayla Williams with this talent and I agree with Bill's assessment of the skill group is not only obviously um you know you want to give your Young quarterback good players it's going to help the offense be more productive all of that but what it does for his development mentally when I think about why young quarterbacks in the NFL struggle or fail there's a l any of reasons bad bad play calling can play a role certainly bad pass protection uh but something else that you see is when they don't trust their Playmakers they develop bad habits I think about the Panthers last year where guys didn't get open and you saw because of that Bryce young didn't really have faith in the structure of the offense when you do have faith and it helps a lot when you have players like these wide receivers who get open quickly who will make difficult catches and make plays in space is it will teach Caleb Williams to play with more aggression and notably anticipation getting him to play on time to play quickly which he is perfectly capable of is the most important thing they can do for him in year one and starting with this group of skill players is a great great way to ensure that yeah you mentioned the receivers not having faith in the offense for Bryce young other concern in Carolina is at the offensive line line wasn't very good and so he never trusted that he would have time to actually go through his progressions and that's my only concern here with this Bears offense I love The Playmakers but the offensive line especially on the interior feels like a concern right now they trade for Ryan BS a guy who they tried to sign a couple years ago as a restricted free agent he really sat last year didn't play much in Buffalo he's going to move from guard to Center most likely in this offense Nate Davis a big addition they made a year ago in free agency didn't really have a great year he was hurt at mini camp or it heard at training camp wasn't able to really practice very much with a foot injury that's a concern Braxton Jones at left tackle kind of inherited left tackle by default as a rookie he's done okay but missed a bunch of time last year pressure rate over 14% at left tackle three spots up front where the Bears have question marks heading into the season and it kind of feels like we're going to be sitting here next summer saying man the Bears finally address their offensive line after it held Cale Williams back as a rookie hoping he has great numbers this year but I feel like that's the one weakness for this Bears offense yeah it's interesting guys because I I Feel Like Us who are not necessarily like Bears fans we're going to be like oh we see Improvement we see all that but mean you see on the screen a 42% chance to make the playoffs that's eighth in the NFC um according to ESPN analytics how would you describe what success should look like for this Bears team next season well it's hard not to have playoff aspirations given how well the defense played last year and uh the fact that they actually you know verging on contention at times uh they did not have the number one overall pick because of their own record they had it because they had Carolinas but I I I really think the most important thing for this team is just Caleb Williams Caleb Williams Caleb Williams his development you want to see him develop the habits that I talked about you want to see all of the qualities you saw in college that made him the first overall pick uh marked in pen right for months before the draft and I think that the Bears have really done everything Maybe the exception of the offensive line that it will take to ensure that so even if you do have some defensive aggression even if you don't make the playoffs because you play in a difficult NFC North arguably the best division in the NFL success with Caleb Williams matters more than all of that yeah certainly in the big picture this is a bears franchise that's been
