Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
I tried posting that video twice on r/loseit and both times it was rejected and the mods never put it up. Keto is really popular there, they don't want any interference with their calorically dense diet.
I think there are different kinds of satiety. Like have you ever eaten so many vegetables that you were stuffed but didn’t have the satisfaction that you get from like some potatoes? Fiber satiety vs starch satiety. Protein has its own satiety mechanism based on receptors for amino acids I believe. And fat is clearly satisfying for some people even if it’s taste based or psychological. That’s not meaningless. There’s nothing wrong with nuts, seeds, and avocado and they provide important nutrients in a plant based diet.
This is genius. I’m going to share it with everyone I know. I have never heard anyone explain it this well before; how to lose weight, that is.
I have to have some fat and variety or I'm never satisfied. I'm plant based and eat nuts and avocados daily.
I'm so glad you showed me this. I did keto a few years ago and walked away with the lesson that fat fills you up. I've spent the last month eating so many veggies with some fat (to fill me up) and have been gaining weight and I had no idea why. I just watched the entire thing and I'm definitely going to change my habits.
Does he have a series of these? I've heard so many myths over the years that I really just need nutrition 101 videos or audiobooks to actually learn the truth.
