welcome to junkets games today we will be playing through a full three player game of Fuji Koro now I will be teaching how to play this game while we were actually playing it and I would like to ask that you please turn on the Klingon subtitles so that if any mistakes are made I can then put corrections on the screen and you should be able to see them now what's going on in this game is each player is a samurai running around to Mount Fuji and they are trying to find as many sacred Scrolls rescue as many monks and slay as many dragons as they can before the mountain erupts now you can play this game competitively or cooperatively and today we will be playing through a competitive version of the game where the players are not allowed to fight each other now there's obviously a lot going on here and I'll go into all of those specifics while we are playing it and I would like to mention that this game is being funded through Kickstarter now Before we jump into the actual video I would also like to ask that if you enjoyed this video you please consider clicking the like button down below as well as the subscribe button for the channel also if you would like to directly support the channel in the creation of future videos like this one and please go to junkets Gamescom slash support to see a variety of ways with which you could do that including voting on a couple of the videos that i make each month alright without further ado let's jump into the game out here we have the game fully setup for our three different players now it is worth noting that this is a prototype version of the game so the art and components will not exactly match what will be in the final retail version now we are gonna play the game from the perspective of the pink samurai right up here and if you look to the middle of the map you can see that all three of the samurai are on the starting spot right in the middle of Mount Fuji well it looks like we are going to be the starting player so let's begin things off with the first turn of the game now the structure of a turn is quite simple you simply take two actions and then the next player gets to go in clockwise order now the actions are listed along the top of your player board we have exploring we have moving gathering and then finally resting now you are allowed to do the same action twice if you want to and whenever you perform at any of these first three actions you have to take one of your action disks and put it down onto that spot now for our first action I think we should explore the mountain now the way this works is we get to select a one area that is unexplored is currently adjacent to where our samurai is and then we draw the top tile from the applicable stack now we can see that next to the starting tile we have all of these snowy areas these are associated with this first stack right here you can the one on the back after that and there are these second level ones which go out here and then finally we have these third level ones which go way out on the perimeter and you'll notice that on this level first one there is no icon for points but right here we do have this Pentagon right here with a one that means you actually gain victory points by exploring the second as well as the third level locations but unfortunately the ones that are close to the starting spot do not get us any points so we can draw the top one of these tiles right here and I want to explore right over there so we're gonna flip this over and then we get to choose at the orientation of this tile now there are a couple things going on with this tile the first most obvious thing I think is this lava right here now it's very hard to walk on lava technically you can as long as you can suffer five damage to your sandals now I'll explain how that works when it becomes relevant probably pretty soon here but for the most part we are going to avoid walking over lava wherever we can now the next thing to notice are these two icons right here this one is a square and this one is a hexagon now the way this works is we are gonna take one of these resource tiles that is associated with that spot you can see this one is square we will flip it over and put it right on top of this once we have put this down and we would also do that for this hexagon if we are playing with five or six players in this game since this is just a three player game we will ignore all of these hexagonal resource spots now the last thing I'd like to point out for the moment are these icons right here and these are locations for sacred Scrolls for these specific players now this one right here is for the blue player but we are not actually playing with the blue character so we won't do anything with this location however in this spot right here has a sacred scroll specifically for us as the pink samurai so we are certainly happy to see that now with all of that in mind we have to put this out onto the map and I think the way that we should do this is by putting it right over here now the reason for this orientation is because our sacred scroll spot is three spaces away from us and whenever we move we get to move three spaces I'll explain how that works in a little more detail soon but I think this is a pretty good setup for us next up we can draw this resource tile and put it right down here and that means if we were to go onto the spot and gather resources we would get to wood and then one metal lastly we have to take one of our sacred Scrolls and put that right down onto this spot and now this is a location that we are definitely gonna want to go to that of course our opponents don't really want to because this scroll only applies to us at this point we have effectively finished out our explore action although I do want to mention that whenever you explore a new tile onto the board you will refresh all of the resource tokens that might have been flipped over on every one of the adjacent region tiles to the newly explored spots now obviously this hasn't happened just yet but I'm sure we will see it happen soon at this point we've taken one out of our two actions so I think with the second action let's take another one of these disks and go on to the move spot now as I briefly explained earlier whenever you move you get to go up to three locations now you can see this starting tile right here is just one a big location but once we go out onto the main tiles on the board you can see there are seven spots on it now we have a couple options one thing we could do is go one two and then on the next turn do a gather action to take this to wood and one metal now the problem is that one of our opponents could potentially get there before us you can have up to two players on any spot on the board so if we went over here then potentially the green player could move over here and then gather before we would have a chance to do it on our next turn and when that happens you flip this over and you lose access to it so I don't think that is a good move for us instead we have set this up so that we could go one two three spaces over here and beyond the location with our sacred scroll so let's go ahead and do that because our opponents are not allowed to take Scrolls that are not theirs at this point our turn is now done because we have taken two actions so we can now move clockwise over to the green player right here and for their first action it's no surprise to us to see that they want to move now the green player can move one two or three spaces and they have decided to go right over here on top of these materials next up just like we expected that they are now going to gather which means that they are going to gather two wood and then one metal from the supply now after they do that this is going to get flipped over just like I talked about before and it is worth noting that here on the starting tile you have the option of gathering for a wood and a metal and you can only do this once per turn but this one it never gets flipped over and exhausted now that the green player has gathered these materials they have to put them down over here into their backpack and the location in the backpack does not matter for them but the number of spaces does they can only store up to six materials as well as Scrolls and these a magical blueprints that they find along the way and they do have the option of expanding their backpack out by gaining the assistance of a monk but I'll explain how that works pretty soon here at this point Green is done with their turn so the black player can now go and they're gonna start things off by exploring now it looks like they have decided to pick this spot which is a level one location so they can flip this tile over and they want to put it down and just like it that now we can see here that it has a red player scroll and a purple player scroll but we're not playing with any of those player colors so we won't add those down we also will ignore this hexagon resource because again that's only four five and six player games but we do have a square one here so we can draw this one and put it down here that's gonna be one metal and one wood and then lastly we have this spot right here which shows a monk so we can take this monk token and put it right out here and as you may have surmised based off of our player boards once we gain access to saving these monks they will increase our ability to do a variety of the different actions and things that we're trying to do in this game now at this moment it looks like the black player is done with their explore action the black player now needs to take another action and they have decided they just want to gather we can see that they are currently on the starting location so that's gonna get them a wood and a metal which they can then add into their backpack and now their turn is done all right we can now take our second turn of the game and for the first action I think we should gather and the reason for this is because last turn we ended on a location that has one of our sacred Scrolls and gathering these is certainly a good thing because will not only get points but also get new abilities now again we are the only ones who are able to pick this up but I like the idea of grabbing this right now and once we pick this up we then have to figure out what scroll it is now at any time that there are three of these scrolls face-up on the board and whenever we pick up a sacred scroll from the mountain we get to take one of these now you'll notice first of all that all of them have this three with the victory point symbol so that means no matter what we are going to get three points when we take one of these girls now every one of these also has a power that happens at certain points this one right up here says that whenever you start fighting a dragon you do to damage to it before the battle even starts now some of the weaker dragons have like four five or six health but the strongest dragon in this mountain actually has 60 health so two is a help for some of those weaker dragons but does not do as much for the bigger ones this one right here is simple whenever you move you get to move one extra space so instead of going up to three you can now go up to four and then down here this says that whenever you do a rest and craft action you can immediately gather a wood and metal resource from the supply before you actually go crafting now we are going to be resting and crafting on this turn so I think what we should do is collect this one right here and immediately get our three points which we can track right up here along the top of the board now while we are looking at these victory points I think it's now time to talk about how this game will end now as soon as any one player has reached 30 or more victory points we will then trigger the end game where the volcano will start to erupt and at that point each player will have eight more turns to try and get out of the volcano now you don't necessarily have to escape in order to win but you can get a lot of points by doing that and I'll explain how all of that works later now the last thing we have to do for this gather action is slide our scroll right over here and we now have this ability and if you look up here there is a second scroll spot but it is locked and not available to us until we find a monkey in the mountain and assign them to this location where that will unlock this second area here now the last thing we do have to do is take this scroll token and put it down into our backpack this effectively shows us holding on to this as we are running throughout the mountain but unfortunately this is gonna take up one of our six backpack slots and we will get a more backpack slots if we find a monk and put them over here to help carry our stuff but as you can start to see the monks will hate us in a variety of ways but as we gather them we have to decide how they can help us the most either way we have now finished out in this gather action and at this point we have to take our second action of the turn and we have none of these action tokens so that means we must do a rest and craft action now the resting part is easy we simply take all of our action disks and we put them right over here so that we are ready to use them again and then when it comes to crafting we can to use the materials that are in our backpack to work on our weapon a helmet or sandals down here now before we actually start crafting our special scroll over here is going to activate and that is going to give us one wood and one metal and we can add those right into our backpack at this point we are now ready to craft now the way this works is we are going to either work on our helmets or weapon or our sandals and when you work on them you can move as many pieces of material from your backpack to that a piece of equipment and you can move material from the equipment back to your backpack now the only restriction is that whenever you move material back over you do have to lose one of the material for that overall craft session to show that you are deconstructing and that a piece of equipment and a little bit of material gets lost in the transfer so we now have to pick what equipment to work on and in order to figure this out we have to consider two different things the first thing is what does that equipment do for us normally now the helmets are where we can absorb damage from the Dragons or potentially our opponents if they attack us now it is worth mentioning that in this playthrough I'm not going to be having any of the players attack each other that is a variant for the game where you just attack dragons and that's how we're gonna play this game but either way helmets will help you absorb damage and if you look down here you can see that the wooden of material will absorb one damage the metal material will absorb to the dragon's teeth will absorb three and finally the magic material will absorb four and you won't get access to that until you start getting these magical blueprints which I'll explain later now down here we have the weapons and at the start you can only have a single handed weapon but if in the future you get a monk to help you out then you can actually wield two weapons or one really big two-handed weapon and every piece of material in a weapon is going to add a die that you roll in combat and the wooden material dice do a maximum of one damage the metal material dies to a maximum of two damage and then three damage before the dragon's teeth and then finally again for that magic diet has a maximum of four now for all but two the magic die you can actually do zero damage which with each one of those dice but the more cubes you have and the bigger you have your weapon the more dice you roll and more likely the more damage you will do now down here lastly we have these sandals and the cubes that we put on here will absorb damage that happens from whenever we run over lava on the mountain now tell me run over lava it will do five damage to us and we will show that we are absorbing that by removing cubes from this area equal to again the amount that was absorbed over here with the helmet now with that in mind we effectively have running over lava with the sandals do more damage to dragons here with the weapons and absorb more damage from dragons with the helmet but the other thing we have to consider are the gear cards that we can pick up along the way when we craft our items in a particular pattern now we're gonna find these gear cards over on the right-hand side of the board and you always have one sandal weapon and helmet gear card for each player in the game which is why we have three of each of these in this three player game now if you look to each one of these cards they have different orientations of the different types of materials and if you were ever after a craft phase ever to prove that you have this matching set of materials in that exact orientation then you can actually grab that card and it will give you a permanent bonus that you can associate with one of the three main actions so that means if we were able to get a metal next to a wood it next to a metal in our helmet we would grab this and then for the rest of the game we could associate this with either exploring moving or gathering and every time we did that associated action we would pick up a metal from the supply so obviously getting these are certainly a good thing and if we look out here all of the weapons actually require a white dragon tooth material and you only ever pick those up by fighting dragons you get them by defeating dragons but you can also get them when the dragon's teeth break off in the middle of combat so I don't think we are gonna worry too much about going after any of these weapons anytime soon because we have to beat a dragon first but we can look over here and see that the bonus for these is just getting a point whenever you do The Associated action and finally over here for these sandals you get an extra move now this is going to be associated with which of the actions that you do so you could associate this with moving and move four times or you could put this next to gather and for the rest of the game you could then it move once and then do a gather action so going after all of these is certainly a good idea and there is enough for each of us to get one of these but these will start to disappear as we take them and it might make it harder for us to get the ones we want now unfortunately for us we only have this two material here and we can see that everything has a minimum of three materia to actually be made so there's no way we're gonna pick up any of these with his first crafting phase but we can obviously work towards things and I think we should work towards a helmet because gaining extra materials is certainly a good thing because that will let us build out bigger and better tools a particular these weapons to do more damage to the Dragons because that is a big way that we're gonna get points in this game so we can look out here and see that with a metal and a wood two of these match up and this one has it in a diagonal pattern and this one has it right next to it now as you can see there are eight spots in our helmet and we just have to have at this pattern present amongst all of the materials we don't have to have exactly this pattern with all of the holes in it and the other thing to consider is that whenever you do a craft phase and you work on a piece of equipment you can actually reorder everything so it doesn't really matter how we put these into our helmet right now we're just gonna put them like in this I suppose and now in the future if we end up fighting a dragon before we craft again then we could look down here and see that this metal will protect us from - damage and this wood will protect us from one now every time you defend that damage you do lose the material which is an important thing to keep in mind but either way I think that was a pretty good crash phase for us at this point our turn is over and we do have to reveal a new scroll card to this display and it looks like this one is pretty simple it of course gets you three points so they all do but this one also gives you access to five more backpack slots which could be quite nice for one of us it's now time for the green player's turn and for their first action they're going to explore now for the green players current position they could explore a level one tile or a level two tile and that is what they decide to do now a big reason for that is because when you explore a level two tile you do generate one victory point and they can take that immediately which will bring them up to one next up they can flip over this tile and it looks like we have found the first dragon of the game it's going to be a blue dragon which is the weakest type but the first thing they have to do is orient this tile and they've decided to put it just like that and then we could look to this stack of blue dragon tiles we can choose one of these randomly and it looks like they have found the B dragon now if we look down here it has this first number with a fist this is the initiative value or how fast that dragon is going to fight and then or here we can see that this dragon has six health now the reason this is shaped this way is because it's built to slot into a dragon miniature figure but in this case I don't have those we have cardboard cutouts so what I'm gonna do is put this down right over here and then we can put the Associated dragon be right down onto the spot now we have to put other things onto this tile for instance we have to put one of these resource tokens down right here and then of course we have to put a monkey town right over there but before any player can actually gain access to those they will have to find the dragon because the moment you enter a tile that has a dragon that is when you will fight it so I think actually I will put this reference tile right over here so we can easily see how much health and initiative that dragon will have and also get that out of the way now there is one more thing that the green player has to do with this Explorer action and that is refresh all of the resource tokens that are on area tiles that are adjacent to the new area that just got put down so we can flip that over and then we can put the green player right back on it at this point the green player has to take their second action of the turn and if they are out of action disks so they must rest and then craft so when they rest they will pull all of these over here and when they craft they have decided to take all of their material from their backpack and they're gonna put them up here into the helmet just like we did however for them they have three pieces of material and once they put it into this orientation we can see that that's gonna match this helmet gear card from the right hand side of the board that means they can immediately take this and it is worth noting that each player can only take one helmet gear one weapon gear and one sandal gear throughout the game so everyone will have the option of getting all of those three types and when you associate them with one of the actions you will actually slide it to underneath and it's important to note that you can only ever associate one gear card to each one of these three so you cannot stack them up so if you get three gear cards you will end up giving bonuses to all three of the different types now you can choose where you want to put this and it looks like the green player wants to put this one down here with the gather action so for the rest of the game whenever they gather they have the option of picking up another wood and resource and putting that into their backpack all right it's now time for the black player to go and for their first action they are going to gather now we can see out on the board that they haven't actually moved yet they're still on these starting spots and again once per turn you can gather here to pick up a wood and a metal they can add these into their backpack and then for their second action they must rest so they can bring these over and then they can craft and it looks like it they have decided to send it three of their material up here they're gonna leave this wood back here in their backpack and they're gonna put the material like this for their helmet and we can see that that is gonna match up with this gear card here now the bonus for this one is you actually get a medal every time you do the Associated action and it looks like the black player wants to pick up a metal resource every time they move for the rest of the game now obviously metal is the second worst of the materials it can do a maximum of two damage in combat and absorb two damage if it's in a helmet or sandal but either way they figure having a lot of metal lying around is probably going to be good for them to keep crafting and a bolstering up their equipment okay it's time for us to take our next action and I think we should start things off by moving this means we can now move up to three spaces so hypothetically you could look out here and think that we could go one two three and try to attack this dragon however whenever you enter a location with an opponent on that spot you must end your movement so even though we could hypothetically move up to three if we want to go in this direction we have to stop right here where the green player is now we are gonna be playing with a peaceful variant for this competitive game if we were playing in the normal competitive game then as soon as two samurai are on the same location that is not a peaceful spot like the starting tile or these temples right here then if either one of the samurai wants to fight then you will go into combat and combat between samurai works the same way as combat with these dragons right here the only difference is at the end of combat the winning samurai is to steal a item from the losing samurai that could be a monk it could be materials it could also be a scroll or a magical item so with all of that in mind we do know that we're playing the peaceful variant but we do still have to stop on this location but that's just fine because the main reason I wanted to go here is because this refreshed resource tile is looking pretty attractive to us with that in mind let's spend our second action gathering this means we will gather two wood and one metal and then we can flip this back over and that is gonna finish out our gather action let's add these into our backpack and now our turn is over it's now time for a green to go and they have decided that they want to explore just like they did last turn actually but in this case we can see that the only spot legal for them is right over here so unfortunately they're not going to get any points for putting this tile down but when we flip it over it looks like it's actually pretty good for them it has a sacred scroll for them and it has a sacred scroll spot for the black player who is currently on the starting spots it also has a monk on it so now they have to put this down over here and they have to decide how they want to orient it in this case it looks like they want to put it down just like this and then of course as soon as they snap this into the board they can refresh all of the resource tokens on the spots that are adjacent to it so they can put these right over here but then we also see they have to put a monk down onto the spot as well as a resource tile it looks like this one is just three wood and then lastly we can put a green sacred scroll marker here and then a black sacred scroll marker over there for their second action they now want to gather we can see right here that they have a bonus and they can take this bonus either before or after their main action they also don't have to take this bonus if they don't want to but they certainly are going to take this wood right here and then gather from their location and that is once again going to be this resource tile right here it's been flipped over a few times so the green player will take it to wood and one metal and that is gonna finish out their turn so the black player can now go and even though this is their third turn this is actually the first time they are moving and they do have this bonus associated with that so they get to pick up one metal as a added resource right here and then they can move up to three times on the map but it looks like they're just gonna go two spaces and land on this spot with the monk for their second action they are now going to gather which means they get to rescue this monk right here and bring it back to their player board now these monks that we rescue want to help us out on our journey so as I briefly mentioned before you can add them onto different spots on your player board to unlock extra benefits this spot right here lets you build a two-handed very large weapon or you could have two individual one-handed weapons to help you out in combat this spot right here gives you five extra spots to store resources this spot right here let's you have two active Scrolls instead of just one and then right up here you can gain an extra action that you can use before you must do a rest action so you effectively have four instead of three now the last thing that you could do with this monk is simply put them into your backpack if you have no other good options for them and at the end of the game if you were able to escape the volcano before it erupts all of your monks it may actually be worth points some one significant amount depending on how soon you get out and how you get out but I'll explain how all of those details work later in any case the green player decides they do want to a another action so they can put the monk up here and for the rest of the game that monk will be helping them out there at this point we can take our next turn and I think we should probably try and pick up this monk down here now unfortunately there are 1 2 3 4 5 spaces away from us at the moment but I figure what we can do is move on to this location and then potentially gather there or on at the next turn then move the last three spots to get to the spot because getting those extra actions are certainly worth it and right now honestly things are a bit crowded over in this area there is sacred Scrolls on the ground but they don't match up for us and there is this dragon that we could potentially find the problem is that with our basic weapon that we started the game with I just don't feel confident that we will win so I do want to work on our weapon before we eventually do try to fight that dragon so with all of that in mind I think that we should move and we can show that by putting our token over here now we can go up to 3 spaces but I figure let's just go to and land right here if we went 3 then we're on a spot that really doesn't do anything for us and a potentially next turn we could gather and then move although most likely I think we're gonna move three more spots and then gather and rescue this monk here but either way let's stop right here for this move we can now take our second action which must be a rest action so we can slide all of these over and now we can look down here and see that we get to take a wood and a metal for our scroll bonus and now we can craft so I do think that we should probably try and get our helmet we could potentially get to our sandals and the ability for those would let us walk a little bit faster but that's not really gonna help us out at the moment so with that in mind I figure let's go ahead and put these up here and again you have to choose one of and you can move with the resources as many as you want into that spot so let's put the 3-wood like that and then let's put all three of these metal ones just like that along the top and at this point we have one more wood and I think let's add that in here as well mostly because we don't have that much backpack space and we generate resources pretty well every time we rest so I think it's a good idea to try and clear these out before potentially doing another big craft and the next time around so obviously once we have done this we can look over here and see that we have the three wood that are in a row that matches up right here we have a lot of resources in our helmet actually it looks like we could absorb 2 4 6 7 8 9 10 damage and this is a big reason why I didn't want to try and fight the dragon right now because when we only had this that was gonna be 1 2 3 damage blocked and even the basic dragons can roll three of these white dice and these white dice can actually do up to three damage each the Dragons would definitely be attacking before us which meant if we attacked dragon they could just knock us out entirely losing all of our material on the helmet before we even got to take a swing at them so I'm playing it a little bit safe here now the next thing we can do is add this bonus in and we do have some good options here now we could obviously add this right over here and every time we gather we could to take a medal and that might be every time we rescue a monk or even find one of those scrolls we could also do like the black fighter did and go here so that every time we move we get a medal and obviously we are going to be moving quite a bit but I think what we should probably do is add this right over here to the Explorer now we're gonna do a lot more exploring in this game and every time we do we will get a medal and the biggest reason for this is because this unlocks in these two spots for the other gear that we are hoping to get throughout this game now I would really like to be able to create one of these weapon gears and put it on to the walking spot so that every time we move for the rest of the game we generate a victory point I think that sounds really nice and when it comes to these sandals that we could potentially build sooner rather than later having an extra move associated with the gather action could be really nice because that will let us keep moving around the map also we can be more efficient and potentially trying to explore the mountain in such a way to have some nice gather spots that are all adjacent to each other so we could together move and then gather move again so I think this is probably a pretty good plan for us this means the green player can now go and they are going to move and it looks like they're just gonna go once and land on the spot that has their sacred scroll on it unfortunately for them they do not have any more action tokens to try and gather up that sacred scroll so for now they are going to have to rest so they can bring all of these back here and then they can craft and it looks like they have decided they want to try and craft a weapon now if we look down here we have some specs for the minimum requirements and a maximum requirements for the weapons this first one is for the single-handed weapons and you can only have a single handed weapon before you have a monk and it says you can have a maximum of 8 cubes in this area and you have to have a minimum number of two wooden cubes those wooden cubes are effectively the handle that you hold on to so you have to have at least two and if you are in combat and for some reason you actually go down below that threshold then your weapon is illegal and you cannot fight any more now it is possible that you can have pieces of your weapon get destroyed in combat so that is another reason why it's a little risky to go into combat before actually upgrading your weapon because right on that first role you might create an invalid weapon if one of the wooden cubes breaks now in this point in this case it looks like they want to use all four of these and add them in and we can see that they easily have the minimum of two wood that they need and they are now at their maximum of eight cubes over here now when it comes to the shape of the weapon that they're gonna build it doesn't really matter because at the moment we do know that every one of the gear cards requires one dragon tooth to be put into it and again you only get these by fighting dragons and that has not happened just yet although I think the green player is definitely gearing up to do that potentially on their next turn so in this case they've decided they want to add it when one right here and right here and yeah I think that is the weapon that they want to go into battle with at this point the black player can now go and they do have this monk helping them out giving them another action disk and they're gonna use that monk in order to do a move action now when they do this they could to generate one metal resource that they can then add into their backpack and then they're gonna move with just one space right over here onto the spot with one of their sacred Scrolls they can now take their second action of turn and unlike the rest of us that they actually get to do one of these they could optionally rest but they certainly don't want to in this case they've decided they want to go over here and gather up that sacred scroll so they'll pick this right off of the board and then of course they get to choose one of these three face-up ones over here and it looks like they have decided to take this one this will allow them to start it their combat with Dragons by doing two damage right off the get-go so that is a nice way to begin things off and then of course they will get three points for this card which means they're gonna tie with us for the moment and then they of course have to add the scroll in to their backpack and then slide this one right over here and that is gonna finish out of their turn now before we move on we do have to reveal a new scroll card and it looks like this one has to do with combat it says that one time during combat you can re-roll one of your dice that shows a blank side so that does look like it's a pretty nice way to increase the odds that you do damage in combat all right we can now take our next turn and I figure let's continue the plan we talked about last turn where we rescue this month right here this means our first action will be moving one at two three spaces and our second action will be gathering on the spots to rescue them now of course this does mean we have to assign our disks over here for the move and then for the gather and then this monk will come over here and I think we should copy the black player having an extra action over here before we have to craft is pretty good although every time we craft we do get more resources so we are somewhat better off every time we craft so maybe we shouldn't do that perhaps we should instead have this monk go over here and allow us to hold more stuff in our backpack or even better let's go right over here now right now we haven't found any more of these sacred Scrolls for us but when we do we will want the ability to get a second action happening as opposed to having to erase this one because this is really quite nice so even though this doesn't really help us out right at the moment and we did kind of orient our entire term around it I do think this is probably worth it doing the rest action is better for us than anybody else so I suppose delaying that is maybe not in the best thing for us at the moment okay the green player can now take their turn and the first thing they're gonna do is gather this is gonna allow them to pick up a wood resource right here as a bonus then we could look to the spot of the board and see that they are currently on a spot with one of their sacred Scrolls so they can pick this one up and they have decided that they're gonna be doing some combat soon so they're gonna pick up this scroll right here that's going to give them three points which they can add to the one point they had already and that's gonna put them just barely in the lead at four they of course then have to add to this into their backpack and slide this right over here and now for their second action of their turn they are going to move now when they do this they're gonna head right over onto this location to try and rescue this monk however like I mentioned before whenever a player enters the entire tile that has a dragon on it then they have to immediately stop everything and fight that dragon so it looks like the green player is going to fight the blue B dragon right here and before we actually start combat it is worth noting that our opponents can actually jump in to the aid of people who are fighting dragons now this is only going to happen if an opponent is adjacent to the tile that is currently being fought on so for instance if the black player was also on the spot here then for free they could jump in and help out with a green player and then fight this dragon together the green player is not actually allowed to deny that help and if that happens then they would both get all of the rewards for that they would not have this to split the rewards but obviously that would be good for the other person in this case it looks like however none of the other players are directly adjacent to a spot to jump on to to help this out so the green player is going to be going it alone this time with this in mind we can now look over here to the stats for this blue dragon and we can see that it has six health so we can take this marker right here and put it to the six spot on this dragon health track and then we can see that it has an initiative of four the next thing we have to do is figure out the initiative for the green player and we can look down here to see a cheat sheet for that this says you get initiative equal to the number of resource cubes you have in a straight line so we can look over here and see that the green player has five and a line right here so that means their initiative is five now if there was a tie in initiative then the tie always goes to the defender but in this case the dragon has a four and five is larger than that now initiative is going to dictate the overall turn structure so the player with the higher initiative gets to attack first and case five beats four so the green player gets to do with their first attack before the blue dragon is able to come back in and try and hurt them now as I mentioned before when you attack you are going to look at all of the resources within your weapon and you will draw one dye for each of those and each one of these dice will then be rolled now I mentioned before that the brown would dye have a maximum damage of 1 and you can see that printed right here they also have two of these blanks so 2/3 of the time they will do one damage but one at sixth of the time they will damage the weapon itself and that is the moment where you have to actually remove that that token from your weapon now looking over here to the grey ones of the metal ones we can see that they also have the two misses but then at the other faces they have two sides that do to damage only one of which hurts the weapon and then two single damage sides so their damage output is quite strong right now and only have to do is do 6 damage and they even get a reroll on a blank now when it comes to the damage output for the different dragons we can look over here and see that the blue dragons will roll three of those white nine like I mentioned and then they have a five victory point bonus if you defeat them the bonuses go quite up as you get to the much harder to kill dragons but for now we know that the green player gets to attack first so let's see how they do now on the face of it things are looking pretty good because they have one two three four five six seven damage and that is enough to do these six damage that they need to immediately defeat this dragon and that's certainly nice because that means they don't have to worry about the dragon rolling these three white dice and potentially doing up to six damage in that case that would have been four damage which would have just ripped apart in their helmet they were fortunate they were fast and they killed this blue dragon off however we do see that they took one would damage and one metal damage throughout this fight this means they have to immediately remove those materials from their weapon because they broke off so they will rip off this piece of metal right here and then it looks like this piece of wood also fell off they can then put those right back into the supply and then as a reward and they get to gather one white dragons tooth which means they now have the possibility of trying to craft one of these weapon gear cards soon in the future and then they also get five victory points which will bring them from four all the way up to nine so they can add this dragon tooth into their backpack and now they're done with their turn now before we move on we do have to reveal another scroll and this one says that once per turn you can walk over a single lava spot without actually doing any damage to your sandals all right it's time for black to go and they have no action markers over here so they must rest and craft so they can move all four of these back over here and when they craft they have decided they want to work on their weapon as well we can look over here and see that they have two metal and one wood and again you can maneuver these things around as much as you want to and they've decided to add this one right here they'll put the metal right over there and then they'll add this metal right on there they like the look of that weapon once again they don't have any dragon's teeth so there's no particular reason to work towards any of these shapes at the moment they now need to take their second action and for that they are simply going to explore when we look out to the map we can see that the black player is adjacent to two of the level two mountain areas and they've decided to explore into in this region and this means they're gonna get one point immediately which will bring them up to four points on at the track and then we could flip this over and it looks like they have found a green dragon now there's also a monk on this tile and they figure they're gonna orient this just like advanced now they can put a monk on the spot as well as a resource tile and then we have to look to the green dragon set right here and when we pull the top one it looks like they have found a green dragon B now this one has an initiative of eight and if you remember if you don't have any monks then you can only have a one handed weapon and the maximum length is five so that means until you actually find a monk to help you out building a big two-handed weapon you're never gonna have an initiative of higher than five so this green dragon is in a very dominant position to attack first the green dragons also roll four of those white dice which can do quite a bit of damage and we can now add this dragon right over here onto the map we could put this token over here and then of course remove it this blue dragon because they have been defeated now the last thing the black player would have to do is refresh all of the resource tokens on adjacent spots but it looks like this one has not been taken yet so that is gonna finish out there at this point we can now take our next turn and we currently have one action marker and I think what we should do is explore right over here now the reason for that is because that will potentially allow us to have a path to head over here to this temple and I think it's now time to explain how these temples work now if you look at the top you can see that you can harvest a wood and a metal from the spot or you can take one or two of these magical blueprints that are associated with that temple now at the start of the game I randomly pulled out one helmet one sandal and one weapon magical blueprint per player and I put them all into these temples so that there is one of each now the way these work is if you are able to collect one of these and then match this pattern along with the item on your actual player board then that item will suddenly become magical and you will actually bring out this magic resource right here and put it down on top of that item now what this means is if you have a magic resource on a helmet then this is gonna add four extra defense you can remove it to deflect those for defense if it's on your sandals it can absorb four damage from walking over lava and if it is on a weapon then it actually allows you to roll the single magic dye here that has it no blanks on it and can go up to four now the magic weapon also gives you +5 to your initiative and the best part about this magic token right here especially on the helmet and the sandals is that it will go right back on to that item if it is removed but then this pattern is restored so it is a very good way to defend yourself as you're going now the other thing that I'd like to mention a for these magical blueprints is that at the end of the game you can potentially get quite a few points for them now with that in mind I think it's now time to talk in more detail about how the end game works now as I mentioned before as soon as any player hits 30 victory points we will have eight more turns to go and we are going to show that by putting in this token out onto this eruption track now this has the eight spots on it until we get to the very end of the game and every time this pawn hits one of these numbers then all of the tiles out on the board that have the Associated number well then get flooded with lava if we look at some of these tiles over here that aren't in the draw pile you can see this one has a 1 a 2 and another 2 so that means when the the pond gets here too the one then this will become lava and when it gets to the two and then these will also turn into lava so it's gonna be a lot harder to traverse the mountain and I think having some nice sandals is gonna really help out now when we get to this part right here that is the moment that we will have the possibility to escape we will replace the center tile a bonus over here with this rope and then if we're able to get back to that Center tile we can escape out of the mountain now there is one other way that we can escape and that is a secret passage that is in one of these third level tiles and it may or may not even show up in this game and the thing is that when you escape you will either find yourself in this big palace right here if you got out of the mountain on the center tile or this tiny small Palace over here if you escaped through the secret exit now once you enter this big Palace right here you can immediately decide which one of these four bonuses you want to take now you could only grab one of these a magical blueprint ones if you have a blueprint and it completed item of that type and then you could see that the first person to do that for each one of these will get 10 points the second person will get 8 and the third person will get 6 now you're only gonna get these points at all if you escape out here to this big palace but fortunately there is the small palace that also gives you points but in that case it's just the first person to escape to that one and you only get 5 points each now you can also get points for returning the monks to this big palace here and lastly at the end of the game if you're in the big palace you will get one point for every one of your dragon's teeth and you will get one point for every monk that you did not return over here now you will be able to return a new thing and cash in points every single new turn that you have once you have escaped while your opponents are still running around the mountain hopefully so the sooner you get out the more of these big point value things you can grab at the end of the game so with all of that in mind I do think we should now go ahead and explore right here because we already have the materials that we need in our helmet to match up with this a magical blueprint right here now I suppose if we had been planning ahead we could have oriented all of those materials to match this up so the moment we got it it would activate but we were not thinking we'd be running back down over here so we will have to do some crafting to make that happen now I'm getting away ahead of myself I think let's go ahead and explore right here and this is of course a to spot now this means we are gonna generate one at Victory point which will ties with the black player at four the next thing we can do is reveal this tile right here and it looks like we have found another green dragon now it's important to us to put this tile down so that we can actually walk it through the tile and get over here to this temple unfortunately we are gonna have to fight this dragon first but there are a lot of points in dragons and we have a really good helmet to try and defend ourselves so once we put this here we have to put a monk down onto the spot we can then reveal a one of these level two resource tokens we can put that right here and then lastly we have to look to these remaining at three green dragons and it looks like we have found dragon see now this one has an initiative of nine and a health of twelve and we can add it right here onto this tile so it's currently in our way let's now come back to our board and we of course did have to spend an action over here to explore and now that we've done that we can also grab our bonus of getting a medal for doing it that explore action at this point we have finished out our first action and we now must rest so we can move all of these back over here and then as a bonus we can grab another metal and a wood and add those into our backpack and now we can craft now I think what we should probably do is craft a weapon so that potentially next turn we could try to defeat that green dragon again we have a lot of health that we can or damage that we can take because of our helmets being so bolt up right here so defeating that green dragon would be a really good thing with all of that in mind let's now bring this over here and when it comes to the orientation that we are going for again all of the weapon plans even the magical ones and the regular gear plans they all need a dragon tooth so we can't actually build this up to match any of those at the moment but I do think we want to make sure that this is as long as it possibly can be that means it will be 5 long just like that and then I suppose we could do something that like maybe have our handle hook around like that and put a piece of metal over there that's kind of neat although now that I think about it this is not a good idea remember when we fight we will potentially have to rip off a piece of wood from our weapon and if we did that right now then we would rip this off and our entire weapon would become ineligible to fight so I take it back I think this is an awful plan we have to think this through a little bit more maybe we'll put the wood right in there and then add this metal right up there that looks kind of cool and this means that we can remove a wood and it will not remove the eligibility of us to keep fighting with this so with that we have now finished crafting our weapon and it's now time for the green player to take their turn now the first thing they're gonna do is gather and we can see over here that they will get to a wood resource as a bonus for that and then if we look out to the board we can see that they are able to rescue this monk right here now this monk is going to come back to their area and help them out and they've decided they want to put them right down over here this means the monk will allow them to unlock in this area and that means they can now have to one-handed weapons or one very large two-handed weapon if you look down here to the minimum and maximum for the two-handed one you can have a total of 12 cubes in the two-handed and it needs at least three wood for the handle now once they have finished this gather action we can see that they can't take any more actions or at least any of these three right here but they have to take another action for their turn so they are going to rest this means they can move all of these disks right over here and now they get to craft and they have indeed decided that they want to craft their weapon a little bit more especially considering it this monk is now here helping them build this out more so over here we can see that they have this two wood and this dragon truths that they can add into their plan and it looks like and they are going to be trying to complete this plan right here now in order to do that they can of course move all of these materials around they only have a penalty if they move the materials back to their backpack and looking over here we can see that they're gonna need a dragon tooth that then has three wood right next to it and then the other two wood will flank it just like this and then lastly they have a two metal going off right over here now you may notice that this plan is six pieces of material wide and all of the gear plans for the weapons are like that which means you can't actually claim any of these until you have a monk come over here and allow you to build it out as a two-handed weapon now at this point they do have this one piece of wood left over and well on the one hand they want to put it right here because that will increase their overall initiative the problem is that if they have to lose a piece of metal then they will also lose that piece of wood now instead they could just put this one right over here for instance their overall initiative is lower but they are a little bit more durable when it comes to actual fighting so they're pretty happy with that and now once they finish crafting they do get to take this because it matches at that pattern right here it is again ok if you have extra things there they just have to match this going through and now what they've decided to do is take this and slide it up here so they will get one point every time and they do a move action for the rest of the game at this point the green player has finished out both of their actions so the black player can now go well it looks like the first thing they want to do is explore and it looks like they may be interested in trying to connect up this temple right here because they're gonna select this spot which is actually the only place they can explore this is going to be a level 2 location so that's going to give them one point bringing them up to five and then when we flip it over it looks like we have found another dragon this is gonna be another one of those blue dragons which are on the weaker side now when it comes to placing this out they have decided they want to go down and just like this and then the temple snaps in right over there next up they have to put any a little to resource token right here they can put a monk down right over there and then when it comes to fighting the dragon it looks like and they are gonna go against see now this one has five initiative and a five health and it'll pop right over here onto the board that's going to finish out their first action for their turn so the next one will go right over here that's gonna generate them a medal as a bonus and then they can move now it's not too surprising to see that they have decided they want to try and fight this a blue dragon instead of the green dragon at the moment the black player does not have a great helm to work with and the green dragons do roll four dice now as soon as they go here they are going to start fighting this blue dragon here we can see that it has five health it also has five initiative next up we can come over here to the black players area and we see the length of the weapon is five so they also have an initiative of five the tie goes to the defender so the Dragon will attack first but we can't see over here that the black player scroll will do two damage to the dragon before the fight even starts this means the dragon only has three health total so it's very likely I think that the black player will defeat it but before what the black player can attack the blue dragon gets a hit in first and it looks like it does for damage now as I mentioned earlier for every metal that is in your helmet you can remove it to block to damage and every wood can block one now they have four damage coming in which means both of these metal parts to their helmet just got knocked off and they now have just one defense left over and if you ever take any more damage then you can actually absorb right here then you become it knocked unconscious and the fight is over in this case the black player is okay and now it's time for them to use their very large weapon right here to try and do at least three damage so let's see how they do and overall they easily exceeded the damage they needed they got one two three four five six seven eight nine so maybe they should have gone after that green dragon after all although their helmet did take a huge beating now this means they have definitely succeeded in wiping out this and blue dragon here although unfortunately it looks like two pieces of metal from their weapon are going to fall off with this attack it looks like the damage was inflicted or right over here so their weapon got a little bit shorter there but they have successfully defeated this blue dragon this means they take a dragon tooth and they get five points that's gonna bring them all the way up to ten and it puts them just barely in the lead and they are now one-third the way towards getting us into the endgame but remember you have eight full turns after this has been triggered and obviously we're gonna start to get quite a few points as we are becoming better at defeating these dragons so they can add this dragon tooth right over here and the black player's turn is now done all right we can now take our next turn and when you consider the fact that we put our monka right up here i think we should try and keep exploring and gaining this benefit which will be a metal right into our backpack and then try to find another one of these sacred Scrolls to try and get another one of these abilities going for us so let's now look out to the map for our explore action and it looks like we can only explore to a level two so that is going to get us one point immediately which brings us to five and then we can flip this over and it looks like this worked out for us there's a sacred school for us as well as for the black player and I think we definitely want to probably gather these resources as well as that scroll so maybe if we set this up like this then we would potentially go over here although it would be nice to explore to this spot we might find a location that doesn't have a dragon and sneak into this temple we do have the option of trying to defeat this green dragon right here but at the moment I just don't think our helmet is strong enough to withstand the four white dice they get rolled they can do three damage each so I think when we consider all of that maybe we should put this one like here right there on the map we then have to reveal a level two resource tile and that's going to be to metal and then of course we can put these sacred Scrolls out onto these locations now at this point I think that maybe we should just do a move action and get out over on here we could go one two three or I guess we could go one two that works as well and that sets us up next turn to potentially explore here we can see if we find a dragon and we know that the level three spots actually give two points each when you explore and every time we explore we gain a medal so I think that's kind of what we are starting to be is an explorer in this game but for the moment so we have now moved over here and that is going to finish out our turn so the green player can now start their turn off and they are going to walk and this lets them go one two three spaces and we can see that they will generate one point and it looks like they've decided to walk over onto this spot they could go over here and try to rescue the monk on a following turn but they've decided they want these materials more and then they gatherer one point which ties them up with a black player at ten they can now take another action and they are going to gather this is going to get them a bonus wood resource and then it looks like they were going to get two more wood and a one metal from this spot that's gonna finish out in their turn and this means the black player can go and they are going to start by gathering we can see over here that they are on a spot that gives two metal and one wood and that is actually going to fill out their backpack right here and now for their second action that they have to do a rest so they can bring all of these back and next they can craft now overall all three of these look like good options for them but they've decided they want to do the first sandal crafting of the game they're going to put all three of these metal down here to match up with this gear card we can see that that is exactly what it wanted so now they get this bonus this is +1 movement as a bonus when they do either exploring or gathering and they've decided to put this over here with gathering and that is gonna finish out their craft all right we can now take our next turn and I think that we should explore now we could gather up that sacred scroll right underneath us but I'm more interested in learning what that new tile area is and we are gonna get one extra metal for doing this which we will then have for our next craft phase which i think is going to be pretty nice for us so the only spot available to us is right over here also adjacent to this temple and as I mentioned before we get two points in just for exploring the spot and we haven't successfully found a dragon just yet but we are slowly catching up to our opponents both of whom have the next thing we do is flip this over and it looks like there are no dragons so we will have a nice Avenue over here to get to this temple and kind of go around this green dragon in a while we are currently not feeling strong enough to take it down I think relatively soon we should be able to I imagine we'll be sticking around in this neighborhood and we do have our sights set on this dragon we're just doing some other things first now there are some good things on here it looks like we found it yet another sacred scroll for us every time we pick one of these up that is worth three points to us and it's worth noting that you can never hold more than two including in your backpack so we can kind of swap out our abilities now there is also a resource on here so I think what we should do is position this one like that essentially putting the green sacred scroll as far away as possible to make it hardest for our opponent to get there we can then put one of their tokens onto that spot along with ours and then there is a resource spot right here looks like there's two metal and one wood to be found there now that we have finished exploring it's time to do our next action but we're out of tokens so let's rest bringing all of these back and then we can craft now when we do this we get to take a wood and a metal and now I think we should actually work on our helmet some more I put a bunch of wood in here but that was maybe not the right especially now that we know that we have a clear path to get to the temple where we can pick up in this blueprint so with that in mind let's try to match this up so that means we can add a metal over here and I guess we just clear these off and start fresh we can see that this is going to go like this and then we need the two wood right down here and these two wood are currently on this spot so I think what we should do is pull both of these back into our backpack now again whenever you do this you have to lose one of them just for breaking apart your equipment so we're actually only gonna get one back and the other ones gonna go back into the supply but this will allow us to take both of these metals and add them right over here so we're gonna have a very strong helmet especially when you consider that we are setting ourselves up to make it magical maybe we are kind of over committing to this but being able to survive multiple blows of from those dragons is really going to be important in order to take down the more powerful ones all right that's gonna finish out our turn and this means that green is now up and they want to use it their last remaining disk in order to move we can see that this will get them one victory point which will bring them up to 11 and then they're gonna move one space over to this spot where that monk is for their next action we can see that they must rest and then craft so they can pull all of these back and then they're gonna work on their helmet it looks like if they want to put this one right up here swap these around like that and they're gonna put the rest of their wood up here as well all right the black player can now take their turn and they want to start things off by gathering now the bonus they have associated here lets them do a movement they can either do this before or after they gather and it looks like here they want to do it before now this is just one movement they can't go any farther than that but they wanted to go over here and they can immediately gather and rescue this monk right out from underneath the green player now this monk can come over here and help them out and they want to put them down over here so they have some flexibility to potentially try and match up that last piece of gear which is a weapon in order to fill this slot in for their next action they are going to move this is going to get them one metal into their backpack and then they've decided to go one two three and enter this temple with that the black player is done so now we can go and I figure let's start our turn off by gathering obviously we're gonna be able to grab it this sacred scroll right here and then we can choose one of these three and interestingly enough I'm not super interested in any of these and you're only allowed to have a maximum of two of these online at any point in time and we can see that we have another secret scroll that we can pick up soon so let's go ahead and take the one that we think our opponents might want the most which is maybe gonna be this backpack we can then maybe use it for a turn or two but then get rid of it for potentially what is ever is on top of here which might be something we care about more either way we can now go ahead and get our three points which brings us up to ten and then we can add this right over here and then we do have to put this scroll down so I suppose we are getting a little bit tight on back backspace but we could also of course with a monk that we potentially rescue go over here and get five more spots so we'll see if we end up covering this one or this one up either way they're both pretty nice for us to have in the long run and now we can finish out that action by revealing another one of these cards and this one helps out in combat so we might be interested in this this says that once per combat round you can turn one of your blanks into a single damage which could be pretty nice we can now take our second action and I think we should simply move and when you consider the fact that this scroll just came out I think let's go right here and then maybe try to set ourselves up to pick this up and then also craft some sandals that will allow us to gain an extra move so that when we pick this up we then move into the temple and become a little bit more action efficient because we will get to where we really want to go without having to spend an entire turn doing a big move action like the one we just did alright the green player can now go and they're gonna start off by moving and that's gonna generate one point for them which will bring them up to twelve and then they're gonna chase the black player going one two three and they are also going to enter this temple for their second action they are now going to gather which will generate one Attwood for them and then we can see that it once per turn they could gather here to get a wood into metal or they could pick up one or two of these blueprints and that is exactly what they have decided to do they are thinking that this is going to kind of get in the way of the black player grabbing both of these out is gonna definitely reduce the options black player could pick up and black is currently in this temple so it looks like green and black are kind of sniping off of each other several times here recently when we come back over here to the green players area they can now put this blueprint right over here and they actually take this token and they have to put that into their backpack now they're gonna do the same thing for this a weapon and now that they've found this one they have to put that in their backpack so storage base is getting a little bit tight over here maybe they're gonna try to find a monk to help them out with carrying stuff soon but now that they have done this we can take it these two magic tokens and put them down on here to show that they have the potential of using these now again they will not to actually turn any of their equipment to into magical equipment until they exactly match this pattern and it looks like they're pretty close here and once that happens this token will go over on top of that area and then it can be used to defend for for or potentially allow you to roll extra attack dice with the weapon now obviously that has not happened just yet but the green player is certainly trying to play towards that at this point Green is down done with their turn which means that the black player can now go and they want to start by exploring now they're currently inside this temple right here that means they can go either there or here which are both level three spots so they're gonna pick this one here and then we can flip it over and put it down now it looks like there are no dragons I don't want to forget though to give the black player there are two points which will tie them up with the green player at 12 and then they've decided to spin this around just like that and you'll notice that there is a sacred scroll spot for the blue and red players but we don't have either of those characters in this game so the only thing to come out with this tile is going to be a level 3 resource token and it looks like that is a triple metal spot so they can put that right over here and then they've decided to gather for their second action this also comes along with it a one movement bonus and they've decided to use that bonus to move on to this triple metal spot first thing and now they can flip this over and to take three metal now unfortunately for them at this moment they only have two spaces left in their backpack so they could take just two if they wanted to but they've decided they like the idea of this metal more than the wood at this point so they're going to ditch this wood and then just fill their backpack up with metal all right we can now take our next turn and I think for our first action we actually want to rest this will allow us to craft some sandals that will give us a plus movement bonus so that too on our second action we can then go here gather and then move over and I think that in a long run is going to be really nice having that ability to move and gather or gather and move as we are wandering around the mountain so that means we are going to rest by pulling these over we don't have to wait until all three of these actions have been used and then this ability will activate that's gonna get us a metal and a wood and if we look at these sandal options they are pretty similar they both require two wood and one metal so I figure let's craft over here and we'll just put a metal on the middle side because that's slightly nicer looking I suppose we could put this sandal back onto the board and now let's slide this one up as a bonus onto that spot just like we'd planned now that was just our first action so now let's go over here and gather with a move now just like we set up last turn we are on a spot with a sacred scroll so let's pick this up when we gather first and now let's definitely take it this one which will make us slightly more effective in combat now this is gonna get us three points so that means I think for the first time in the game we go into the lead just barely at 13 and now we can come back over here and we don't actually have to put this scroll down into our backpack we only ever hold two Scrolls so I guess we kind of a ditch one off to the side and we do have to cover up one of these and we've made really good use of this one getting a bunch of bonus resources but at this point we do have a ton of resources and as we start to get more stuff into our backpack especially once we get these magical blueprints in there we're gonna have some serious backpack space problems so maybe what we should do is replace it and this one like that we no longer get those free resources right when we rest but now in the future when we get another monk we don't have to necessarily send them right here we've effectively already done that with this monk on the spot and of course in the future maybe we could get rid of this if we want to change up these Scrolls a bit more but either way I think this is gonna set us up well for the next phase of the game or hopefully we start hunting a bunch of dragons now at this point we aren't done with our turn though because we haven't taken our bonus move and just like we planned let's now enter into this temple here and we can finish out our turn by drawing another scroll card it looks like this one activates every time you do a rest action and it just gives you a bonus move when you do that all right the green player can now start their turn off and they are going to gather now they are currently over here at the temple so they could use this gather action to pick up this magical blueprint for sandals but instead they're just gonna pick up a metal and a wood now these are gonna get added right over here onto their board and their bonus would activate getting them a wood but they have no place to store it so they're not going to do it and now for their second action for their turn that they are going to rest that means all of these tokens can go right back over here and now they can craft now they're definitely going to craft up here into their helmet they're gonna start off by putting this metal right into this spot here and realistically that is all they want to do because if you look at this pattern here that is going to match up with the pattern for their magical blueprint for the helmet and that means the moments that they slot this metal piece in this helmet becomes magical they can now take this token and put it right on top and just like I explained before in combat they can now remove this to absorb for damage and at any point when this helmet once again it regains this exact shape then it will become magical again so for instance if they go into combat take for damage and then lose nothing else by the end of the combat or maybe just move these two right here then at the end of combat this will become magical again and it will gain this back so it's a very flexible way to absorb a lot of damage and it's now looking like they are quite defensive and quite offensive so they are likely gonna try and hunt down probably that green dragon that they're right next to on their next turn all right the green player can now take their turn and for their first action they are going to walk and of course gain one point as a bonus this is gonna tie them up with us and 13 points and then they're gonna walk one two three spaces onto this tile where they will then immediately fight this green dragon now we can look over here and see that the Green Dragons will roll four of the white and damage dice and it looks like this dragon has an initiative of eight and thirteen health when it comes to the green player's attack power they are obviously no slouch they have this huge weapon right here it looks like their initiative is six though so they are going to attack after the dragon we could also look over here and see that they have this ability that says that when they roll their dice then one of the blank dice that get rolled gets to be rear old so here comes the Dragons first attack and it looks like they've done a pretty good amount of damage that's one two three four five now over here the green player is going to absorb that damage and we can see that they do have a magic helm now this means they have one of these magic elements on it and they can remove this in order to absorb four of those five damage and then they are going to go ahead and get rid of one of these wooden of materials to absorb the fifth damage now if you notice right here this die was rolled with a broken sword icon this effectively means that the dragon had one of their teeth break off with this attack and that means the green player immediately gets one of these and they can add it right into their backpack now at this point it's now time for the green player to attack back they have all of these dice right here and they're looking to do 13 damage so they can roll these and after they finished rolling they also have this scroll ability which lets them and reroll one of their dice that is blank well it looks like they got a blank on their white dice so they're gonna definitely reroll that one to try and get more damage and and now we can see they have one two three four five six seven eight nine damage total now we can look over here and see that the dragon has 13 so with that one attack they've brought the dragon down to four health but if we look over here it does look like in this attack one piece of metal is going to get blown off of their weapon so they can remove this one right here which means they're not gonna roll this die anymore and now it's time for the dragon to attack back so they're going to go ahead and roll the dice and it looks like that is a decent amount of damage there one two three four five six seven eight nine damage coming in from the dragon now it looks like the green player is going to be able to absorb that although it's going to do a lot of damage to their overall helmet they can remove this one would it for one damage and then two three four five six seven eight and then nine they figure that looks like they have just one piece of wood hanging on from there otherwise amazing a magical helmet that they had at the start of this attack so at this point they can now fight back to the dragon although it looks like two dragons teeth got broken off in the course of that battle of that attack there so that means they get two more of these but unfortunately their backpack is full now they've decided they are going to get rid of both of these wood from their backpack they're just going to ditch them in order to fill their spots in with these dragon's teeth which are definitely pretty valuable to them and now they're gonna attack back and they are looking to do just four damage to the dragon and it looks like and they were able to succeed in that they have one two three four five six overall damage so that is gonna be enough to slay the green dragon it is now gone but unfortunately it looks like they took two damage to the wooden aspects of their weapon so they can remove these right here and then unfortunately they got to the damage on their white guy which means the dragon too is part of their weapon is also going to get ripped off at this point the battle is over and the green player has won although as you can see there was a pretty big cost there they lost all of these materials either from their helmet or from their weapon in that battle but now as a reward they get one more dragon tooth from the supply but unfortunately they don't have enough space to actually hold it in their backpack so they're not gonna get this but you do get seven victory points for slaying a green dragon which they can now take it looks like they were at 13 so this is gonna jump them all the way up to 20 and they are just ten points away from initiating the endgame state where the volcano really starts to erupt although again once we hit that point we will each have eight more turns the green player can now take their second action and it looks like they want to travel once again this is good for them because they will once again get a bonus victory point which will bring them up to 21 points and then when they move they're just gonna go one spot over here and it looks like they're setting themselves up to rescue this monk on their next turn at this point the black player can now take their turn but it looks like they don't have any available action disks so the first action that must be resting and then they can craft now it looks like they have decided they want to craft this gear card right here we can see that it's gonna need this specific orientation and it will give them the plus victory points bonus which they like so when we look over here they are ready for this they have a monk in place because this is a two-handed weapon because it is a longer than five spaces so with that in mind they can now reorganize the stuff to match up with this plan here we can see that it has some spiky metal bits going up on the top and the bottom over here and then they of course can put a white dragon tooth right on the end and now they have matched this up now if they want to they can add these on to this weapon as well but they have decided they think they should probably hold off and use these to try and put it into the helmet maybe on and the next time they craft although they do have a few turns until they craft so when they think about it a little bit more they figure yeah why not they'll add these in now they have a maximum number of cubes of 12 it looks like right now they have 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 so they can add both of these in here and be fine and they figure they'll just bolster this up they'll add that right there and this right over here so it's kind of a mace with a dragon tooth on the end and then they can gather this as a bonus and slide it in over here and they will then get an extra point every time they explore with that in mind they do want to explore soon but unfortunately they are not next to an empty spot so they're going to go ahead and travel and this means they will get to a metal as a bonus to add into their backpack and then they're going to move to locations over here so they've set themselves up to explore this spot on their next turn all right we can now take our next turn and I think what we should do is gather because that will allow us to pick up a magical blueprints and then get a bonus movement which will actually allow us to walk onto a space and fight a dragon well first things first let's gather in this temple and I figure let's take this magical helm blueprint and this magical weapon blueprint we can now add these over into our area and then of course we have to take the matching Scrolls for both of these items and put them into our backpack so I figure we'll add them right over here and now we can bring in these magical tokens and we can see right from the get-go that we have matched up with this pattern right here which was something we intended to do so the moment we get this blueprint our helmet will immediately become magically imbued which means we can absorb but 5 more damage the next time we fight which is certainly a good thing speaking of fighting it's now time to do our bonus move and with this we can move from the temple right on to this spot right here and it's now time for us to fight it this green dragon now we already know that the green dragon is going to roll four of these white dice against us we can see that this one has an initiative of nine and we have an initiative of five over here so I'll be the Green Dragon will fight first now we do get to roll a bunch of dice in combat we can see all of them right here and we also have this scroll which will let us turn one of our blanks into a hint which certainly could come in handy for us during this fight now the last thing to note is that the green dragon has 12 health and now it's time to fight so we'll have the dragon hit us first and it looks like that is a pretty good attack there unfortunately that's gonna be one two three four five six seven eight damage now it looks like one dragon tooth did break off in this attack so that is a decent Silver Lining I suppose but we do have to absorb eight damage now four of it can go into our magical stone right here we can pull that off and then we have to take four more damage so I figure will do one two three four and we actually still have the shape of our magical helmet so if we take no more damage for the rest of this fight then in this helmet would immediately become magical again although I don't think that's gonna happen I think we are likely gonna get hit by the dragon again but that is in the future for now we get to fight back so let's roll all of these dice right here and it looks like that did not go super well for us unfortunately we do have this scroll ability that's gonna turn on one of these blanks into a hit so that means we do one two three four five damage total bringing the dragon down to seven but I guess on the flip side we didn't lose any damage to our weapon which is certainly nice all right it's time for the dragon to fight us once again and this is another really powerful attack that's gonna be one two three four five six seven damage so that's gonna be one two three four five six seven so our helmet is really getting destroyed throughout this battle but it looks like we did find another dragon tooth which is nice we can add that into our backpack which is a scroll over here I'll just add that onto the screen to see it and now we get to fight back and we are certainly hoping to do seven damage to defeat this dragon on this turn we probably won't be able to suffer another wave from this green dragon so when we roll the dice we have one two three four five six and then our ability comes into play turning one of our planks into a hit and I think that's it that's one two three four five six seven it's exactly what we needed thank goodness to defeat this dragon right here so the dragon is now slain it looks like we did have to suffer one damage to the wooden aspect of our weapon so overall our weapons fared very well even though our helmet took a quite a beating it looks like we ended up losing all of these resources which is actually nowhere near as many as the green player dead so I'm feeling pretty good about that and then when we defeat any dragon we of course we get to take one dragon tooth as a bonus reward and then finally we can take seven points as a reward bringing us up to twenty so we are just behind the black player at this point we have to take our second action of the round and we have just one of these action tokens left so I figure let's explore because that will allow us to get a medal and then next turn will be craft we can use that metal to maybe trying to rebuild our helmet although unfortunately it looks like we need for metal total in order to make this magical again and we will only have two but either way I think this works out well because we are in a position to explore a level three zone that's gonna be right over here and these are obviously good because we get two points every time we explore one of these so that's gonna bring us from 20 up to 22 and we are now just barely in the lead again and now we can flip over this tile and it looks like we've found the first red dragon of the game now these are a much bigger much more fearsome dragons we of course have to add this down before we can move on and I figure we'll put it just like that so we have the possibility of entering the space although we are certainly not going to be trying to fight a red dragon by ourselves in fact the rules specifically say it's generally a good idea to try and team up with one of your opponents to take one of these down so that you can both share in the points of course you can ever team up with more than one person though so the person who's not in that fight will obviously be added disadvantage now with that in mind we can now draw one of these red dragon tokens to see what we'll be fighting and it looks like that one is gonna be right here it has an initiative of 11 and then it's worth noting that this again is a prototype version of the game so all of the red dragons are actually supposed to have it nine more health and they have printed on here so this one actually has 30 health which is a humongous amount so that red dragon will appear right in the middle of the tile and then there is a resource title spot over here we can flip that over and put it down and now we are done with our turn this means that green is now up and for first action and they are going to gather now as a bonus they can take a wood but they can do this before or after they do the gather action and they are going to do it after now the reason for this is because they will rescue this monk on this spot and then they're gonna ask that monk to kindly help them carry stuff so they've now expanded their backpack space by five and now they can take this bonus which will get them one wood resource that they now have space to hold for their second action they must do a rest and craft because they were out of these tokens and when they craft and they have decided they want to work on their helmet and they're gonna put it looks like these two dragon teeth down here on the sides these can absorb a three damage which is pretty great in combat and it looks like they're probably planning on holding onto this one to try and add it onto their weapon to turn that one into a magical weapon in the future but they have nowhere near enough metal to make that happen right now now they're also gonna put this wooden piece up here on their helmet they'll put it just like that they of course need three metal in order to make that happen as well so in general it looks like the green player really wants to try and find some metal in order to really improve their items and potentially make both of them magical in that future but for now that is gonna finish out their crafts phase they are gonna save this one over here and now it looks like the black player can go well they were setting this up last turn so they're gonna start things off by exploring and this does have a bonus of +1 point for them now the only place they can explore is this level three spots that's gonna be two points plus the one bonus although before we actually record those I've realized I've made a slight mistake on the last couple turns I got the black and green players mixed up the green player should actually be at 21 points and the black player should be at 12 minutes sorry about that and then the black player can take two plus one for their bonus which is gonna bring them up to 15 we can now flip this tile over and it looks like it does not have any dragons on it it does have a resource a monk and three sacred Scrolls now they can put this down any way they really want to and they've decided they want to do it just like this now you may have noticed this over here this is a little lava bridge and they've set the self set this up here so the bridge does not actually connect up to one of these things but perhaps this spot will end up being an area that people can walk on to the biggest reason the black player did this is because they have a gather plus a move bonus so they can now potentially do that a couple times to get some now either way once they put this down we have to put a monk onto the spot right here and then we have to put a level-3 resource location right here and that's gonna be three metal now the last thing that happens when you explore a new spot is you will refresh all of the resource tokens on the adjacent locations and then of course we have to put sacred scroll tokens down for the green and pink players the black player can now take their second action of the turn and they are indeed going to do a gather action this does have the +1 a bonus move and it looks like they set this up well because they can now use that bonus one move to go here and then rescue this monk with the gather action it looks like this is the third monk that the black player has rescued and when it comes to the bonus spots they can go onto they have at this one for the extra backpack space and this one for another scroll and they've decided to go over here for the scroll spot they are now much more motivated to go exploring because they get bonus points when they do that and they are certainly hoping to bump into another one of their sacred Scrolls instead of finding all of those for their opponents all right we can now take our next turn and we don't have any action tokens so we must rest to start things off now we don't get any bonuses for resting unfortunately anymore but we do get to craft now at the moment we have not have found a monk to help us out getting a two-handed weapon or a single extra one-handed weapon and that means the maximum number of cubes in our weapon is 8 and right now we have 6 so if we craft this we can only take two of these 5 cubes that we have total and put them down into here so I think instead maybe we should work on our helmet up here now with that in a mind we are hoping to make this pattern right here although we're nowhere near close to it at this point but I figure we could probably put a couple of these dragon's teeth right up here we're definitely gonna add this metal and this wood on the orientation of these doesn't super matter because we are gonna have to craft this again in order to make it this pattern happen for ourselves now it looks like we have the two wood we need in fact maybe we'll put the wood right over here we'll kind of make it symmetrical strange kind of helmet like that and now it looks like we just need two more metal and we could add this in here if we want to but considering we need those two slots filled in with metal but it does not really make sense so let's hold on to this and potentially use that to try and finally get this gear card going but again we can't do this until we are able to make a two-handed weapon because the biggest one-handed weapon over here can only be five long and this is six long so we definitely have a clear goal to try and get a monk over here to help us out with this because we're definitely losing out on points that we could have every single time we move we've been talking about doing that all game long and it's just taking us a long time to actually make that happen well with that in mind let's go ahead and a move now with this I think we should just move twice over to this location right here and that sets us up well so that we can gather and then get a bonus movement from that gather action to go over here we can then explore over there and this spot will get us the two metal that we need in order to make our helmets magical again so I think man that means we are delaying making our getting that sword out and getting extra points for moving but we are doing a lot of little incremental moves by essentially doing gather actions so I think this is probably gonna be the right call in the end even though it does mean we are delaying getting this gear card a little bit more our two actions are done so now the green player can go and if they want to move which is gonna get them a bonus point and that is gonna tie them at 23 with us and then they're gonna move twice on to this location because they do really need metal resources with that in mind it's no surprise to see that they are now going to gather as a bonus they get to pick up a wooden resource and then they're gonna gather right over here getting to metal and one wood now they have a newly expanded amount of backpack space they're gonna ask their monk friend here to hold on to these and that is gonna finish on their turn this means that black can now go and they are going to do a gather action with a bonus move which they will use first in order to get to the spot and then they can gather right here collecting three more metal they can now add these over into their backpack and for their second action they have no more disks so they must rest they can bring all of these back right over here and then when they craft they're simply going to put all four of this metal right up here into their helmet they'll maybe put it just like that and now they're done with their turn all right we can now take our next turn and we've set ourselves up to do a gather plus a bonus move action and with this we can gather up two metal and a wood to start things off and then with the Bonus move we'll go right over here let's now add these resources into our special backpack over here on this scroll and now we could potentially gather again that would let us pick up that monk and that would we could put it right over here and then gather up this gear card at that point it looks like we unfortunately though would not have enough wood we can see that we have two wood on our weapon and one wood over here we have more than enough metal but we cannot actually match this up so I think let's go with the plan that we had before we will delay getting our a better weapon done for the moment and we will use it this action right here to go ahead and explore now this will get us a bonus metal and I know that we actually need wood but getting metal is certainly nice too and then we can explore a new spot on the mountain and it looks like that's gonna have to be right over here so that's gonna be a level two spot that means we will get one point immediately which will squeeze us into the lead just barely once again all right let's reveal this tile and it looks like it doesn't have a lot going on here it does have sacred schools for purple and blue players neither of which are in the game but it does have a resource tile spot so maybe we should put this one right over here and that way we can continue to kind of do a gather chain by picking up this monk soon and then going over here and picking up what's on here and we can flip this over and see that it is going to be a wood and a metal so we can put that right over here and that is gonna finish out that Explorer action all right it's time for the green player to go and they have decided they want to explore they are currently next to two of the level three spots and that means they get to pull one of these and get two points so that means they will go from 22 up to 24 and they're just six points away from starting the eruption of the volcano now they can flip this over and it looks like they have found the most terrifying dragon on this mountain now they do have to add this down over here they'll put it just like this but that is going to be the white dragon and there is only one of them on the mountain you can see it's right here they can add the standee down here and the thing about the white dragon is that it has infinite initiative it is uh always going to be going first there and we can show this little token but once again this is a prototype version they should actually have a twice as much health as this this is a 60 health dragon so there's just no way you can actually take this down unless you have two people teaming up with some very effective weapons and large helmets now there is one last thing they have to do when exploring and that is refresh the resource tiles on the adjacent two tiles right here so that's gonna be over there and then right over here and that's gonna finish out that action green can now take their second action but they are out of disks that means they have to rest and then they can craft and unfortunately they are a little bit shy on metal in order to get either of their magical blueprints online for themselves right at the moment so with that in mind instead they're gonna work on just making a bigger weapon they're gonna go ahead and add this dragon tooth there they're gonna leave one metal behind over here and then add another one onto that weapon and then they figure they'll put both of these wooden aspects on here as well maybe putting one right there and then they'll put this other one right here to bulk up the middle alright the black player can now go and they're gonna start things off by exploring and that will come with a bonus point for them and in this case it looks like the only spot they can explore too is a level two so that's gonna be one point two plus one for their bonus that brings them from 15 up to 17 points and they can flip this over and it looks like this place is just covered in sacred Scrolls it has a monk right here in the middle and they're gonna go ahead and orient this tile just like this and then we could see that they can put a monk in the middle and then there is a sacred school for every character so we have a pink one here we also have a green one and then finally a black one which is right next to where they are and then of course when they explore they get to refresh all of the resource tokens on the adjacent area spots for their second action they are going to do a gather with a bonus movement and it looks like she could either gather these three metal and then move or move in and gather and they want to do the second option they don't feel like they really need that metal right now so they're gonna take their bonus movement right here and then gather up and their second sacred scroll and then when it comes to picking out one of these bonuses they're gonna go with this one which gives them a bonus movement every time they do a rest and crafts action now let's go ahead and reveal another one for the stack here this one that says event whenever lose material when through damage in a fight it actually goes right back into your backpack which is pretty powerful and then of course the black player will get three points for that sacred scroll bringing them up to 20 now they have to put this down into their backpack and they can then slide this right over here and that's gonna finish out their turn okay we can now take our turn and we have to rest so we can move all of these over here and then when we craft we have set ourselves up to be able to add both of these metal in right over here to our helmet and that means we have now matched up the pattern for our magical blueprint and that means this is now a magical helmet we've even got a couple dragon teeth kind of on the sides of this helmet overall I think this is really badass in fact I think this is the best helmet we could possibly make while still keeping it magical so I like the idea of that maybe we can find ourselves in a dragon fight too sooner rather than later because of it although on second thought our weapon is not too amazing at this point but we are trying to work toward that and trying to make this happen soon now that we have done our rest action we do have to take another action so let's go ahead and do a gather with a bonus movement and let's certainly rescue this monk right here and then use the Bonus movement to go onto this spot now surprisingly enough this is only the second monk that we have rescued all game long and I think we should put them right down here so that we now have the ability to make a two-handed weapon and we can finally potentially go ahead and get that gear card made hopefully in the next crafting phase but we'll have to see if we were able to get the materials together for that it's time for the green player's turn and they're gonna start off by gathering now they get a bonus wood for doing this action and then they get to gather two metal and one wood from the spot they can throw all of these into their backpack and now for their second action they are going to explore now the only place they can go to is this level three spot and that means they get two points that's gonna bring them from 24 up to 26 and they are just four points away from initiating in the eruption of the volcano now it looks like they have found the secret exit out of the mountain now this one when you go to it during the eruption you actually find yourself in this small palace right here instead of escaping to the large Palace from the central spot here but either way they're now going to add down onto the board they'll put it just like this and then after they do that they get to refresh all of the tiles adjacent to this and that's gonna be this tile right here that's underneath them green is down down with return so the black player can go and they have decided to do a gather action with a bonus move and with this they're gonna move right over here and then rescue their fourth monk of the game when it comes to getting bonuses for the monk they're gonna put it right over here and that is the last one that they have available so if they gather any more monks then they'll have to actually put those monks into a backpack spot but now we can see that they have expanded out that our backpack area so they have these extra five locations black can now take their second action and they are simply going to walk you get a bonus a medal when they do this and then it appears they want to go one two three and stop right over here all right we can now take our turn and I think we should gather this is gonna allow us to get the final piece of wood that we need in order to finally build out our a weapon gear now we can see that printed or right over there so we get to take both of these and then we do get a bonus movement so I figure let's go right onto that spot now we can add these over here into our backpacks and for our next action I think that we should just explore we're right next to a level one which means we won't get any bonus points for it but it doesn't really make sense to gather at the moments and we don't have a particularly great place to walk to and when we explore we do get a medal so let's go for that we can add this metal right into our backpack and then explore this level one because again that's the only thing we are adjacent to so yeah no bonus points and it looks like we have found a dragon though there are a couple sacred Scrolls on there as well now we are kind of close to the green player it looks like this might be playing a little bit into their hand unfortunately but I think let's go ahead and put this one right over here we can see that there is a monk on the spot there is a green sacred scroll right there and lastly we do have a couple more of these blue dragons so it looks like they have found this one now it only has four health and six initiative these blue dragons really don't seem that intimidating anymore especially when you consider those green dragons that we have been defeating recently either way we've now put that there and we do get to refresh all of the tiles that are adjacent to this so that means this one will get refreshed over here that one is fine so yeah that is gonna finish out in this explore action this means that the green player can now go and they have decided to move that's going to give them a bonus point which brings them up to 27 and now when they move they're gonna go one two three and it looks like they're just gonna try and fight this dragon that we just brought out here onto the map so maybe we should not have explored on our turn but either way it looks like the green player is gonna try and capitalize on that now we can see that that dragon has for health and six initiative and then over here we can see that the green player also has six initiative because they decided not to make their two-handed weapon longer now the reason they did that is because if they put this wood right over here they're worried if they had a metal break it would lose more pieces of material from their area but now they're kind of a little bit bummed about that because if this weapon was a little bit longer then they would have a higher initiative than the dragon either way they are now tying with the dragon which means that the dragon wins the tie although it is worth mentioning there is one other thing that the green player can do in this instance now I haven't mentioned this just yet but when you start combat you can have one of your monks be a hero now they are going to heroically run away from you they can pick up a item from your backpack for instance maybe this one right here and they can throw that item at the dragon now if they do that then you will simply roll the die that is associated with that and potentially do that damage before the attack has even started but then more importantly that means the monk has distracted that dragon and that means that the attacking player gets initiative so the green player could do that if they wanted to but the problem is that monk will never be seen from again so they would actually lose access to all of this excess backpack space so they think they are okay with suffering some hits from and that and blue dragon they're gonna let it go first and then they are fully planning on just to killing that blue dragon off with their first attack so the blue dragon is going to attack and it looks like it did five damage now over here the green player does have a couple of these dragons teeth in their helmet and those can absorb three damage each so they're gonna get rid of one of these plus two wood which each absorb one that will mitigate all of the damage from this attack and then the green player will wheel to their massive weapon right here and it looks like that did it one two three four five six seven eight nine and damage so they way over killed this blue dragon right here it has been defeated although it looks like they did suffer a damage to one of the metal parts of their weapon so they can remove that off of their weapon right here and then they do get a dragon tooth as a reward and then they also get five victory points which is going to bring them from 27 up to 32 and we have officially had a player reach in the thirty point threshold and now is the moment that Mount Fuji is going to start erupting this means we are now going to take this eruption disk and put it between the player who started the eruption and the next player and then every time we pass from this player's turn to that player's turn we will move the countdown forward once speaking of the timer we can now put this token right over here and as I mentioned before whenever this reaches at these specific numbers on the track we will then start putting a lava tokens down on the matching spots out on the board effectively showing the lava rising very quickly now at this point the token is right over here and the green player does have to take one more action on their turn they don't have any more disks so they are going to have to rest and then when they craft they've decided to work on their helmet up here now unfortunately they are just one wood away from being able to match up with their magical blueprint right here but when it comes to their weapon and they are also one metal away from making that happen so neither can happen for them at the moment and they figure they may as well add this stuff up here to their helm they can put this over here and they'll add this dragon tooth as well just try to make this as strong as possible huh that's a strange-looking helmet let's have them maybe do that and I think that makes a little bit more sense and now they are done with their turn this means we are gonna pass over the eruption token right here with our player order so we now have to move that track forward once this means we can go right here and now every single spot on the board that has a one on it is going to get covered up in lava now you can see that there will be eight overall turns before the game does end and at this point we all need to decide how long we want to hang out in the mountain trying to rescue more people and maybe slang more dragons or do we want to try and get out and have multiple turns to try and cash in our awards because again you could only cash each one of these in once per overall turn when it comes to you so if you want to do it multiple times then you better get out while you still have a multiple left before the game ends now once again the numbers for the lava flowing are printed out here on the board so I'm gonna go ahead and fill in these spots for instance this right here is now covered in lava and it looks like this one is as well with that poor a monk not being rescued Eleni more huh it looks like there's just those for the moment but there are a lot of these twos that will start filling in and very soon and in fact there's two right here which is gonna start cutting off the ability for us to safely get back over to the central tile but again if you have built out your sandals well enough then you could potentially run over at one of the lava spots if you need to but we'll see how that plays out soon enough for now we can now go into the black player's turn when we come down to their board it looks like they have to start off by resting so they can move all of these over here and they get to craft now they did not to get that much in the way of materials this last round it looks like they just have this one metal and they're gonna add this onto their weapon right here they are still underneath their maximum number of cubes of 12 so that's gonna work out well I guess they have a little hand guard right here and they also get a bonus now where they get to move once on the map every time they do a rest now unfortunately for them they're not actually gonna use this move they were hoping to explore before this actually happened but they ran out of time so they're not going to use that bonus for now Andrew now for their second action they are indeed going to explore with a plus-one victory point bonus and with this it looks like they want to go with a level two so that has a one point on it already so that's one plus one or two points they get that's gonna bring them from twenty up to twenty two and they're right next to us unfortunately the green player has taken a really sizable lead at this point next up they have to reveal this tile and it looks like that is a lot of lava a monk right next to a red dragon now they're gonna put this down here and I guess they figured they may as well put it in such a way that they could enter this tile if they wanted to although again those red dragons are really scary and in general you need to team up with one of your opponents in order to actually take these down and then you both share in those rewards so we can add a monk right over here and then they can draw one of these dragon tiles now it looks like this has that twelve initiative and again with this prototype all of these numbers need to be plus nine for the Red Dragons so this one actually has 29 health and we can add this right over there alright we can now take our turn and we know that we only have 8 total turns left at the maximum and when we consider that we want to potentially cash stuff in we need to start thinking about how many terms we actually want to take inside the mountain now we know that we are in a pretty good position to potentially have both of these magical items that done when we escape and you only get to cash them in if you have found the blueprints and it your items are currently magical when that happens so that is 2 turns worth of cash ins and then we have two of these monks and that is two more potential turns of cash ins so realistically I think we want to make sure that we are out of this mountain within four more turns and we're gonna try to exit the mountain with two fully magical items now at the moment we have to rest we don't have a choice about that so for our first action we can move all of these over here but now we can finally even as the mountain is erupting get this print done so that is a piece of weapon gear and when we craft this it looks like we are going to need the four pieces of wood over on the side and we can just start to put this together on our board now since we are making a two-handed weapon we can hold up to 12 cubes so I figure let's keep adding and this metal on here and in fact let's put both of these they're making this thing as long as possible and as intimidating as possible I suppose and then we've been going with a hook weapon all game let's add a little hook right and there on the end and I think that is pretty darn cool looking now I guess the other thing to consider is we do want to make it this magical at some point but I think it's important to match this up first to get some bonus points for walking around and then with another one of our craft actions we could potentially modify this around and have it match up with this it does look like this is going to require another piece of wood so we're gonna hope to acquire one of those before we have to craft again either way we have now matched up at least this so we can slide this right over there and now for our next action I figure let's use our newly minted bonus right here we can move and then get a bonus point and then with that movement I figure let's go one two three now the reason for that is because we have set ourselves up to explore over here on the next turn and I'm doing that because we know there's one more blue dragon hanging out somewhere in the mountain and it is probably gonna be on one of these two spots now we have some very powerful equipment so we should be able to beat to that dragon and initiative and just wipe it out really quickly and get a nice easy 5 points plus a dragon tooth and I think that is certainly a nice thing to try and do in these last couple turns of the game for us at this point the green player can now go and they're gonna start off by moving and gaining a point this will bring them up to 33 and then they're gonna walk one two three spaces over to here for their second action they are going to gather this is gonna come along with a bonus wood resource and then they can gather from the spot and pick up a two metal and one wood these can go into their backpack and they have now finished out their turn and that means we have to move the eruption track forward once which means it's now time to cover up all of the level two spots on the board with lava it looks like at the moment in this entire area of the mountain has been cut off from this starting tile right here although it's very likely that this spot will get explored and that'll be potentially a way around and then of course there is the possibility of bulking up your sandals and running across one of these lava pools here it's time for the black player to go and they do want to start off by exploring they get a bonus point for doing this and now we can see that they have to explore right over here and worth noting that there are only two of these level ones left but there are three of these tiles so one of them won't even be seen in the game which means that might be the one with that last blue dragon on it now in this case it looks like it they are going to go ahead and explore here and it does have the dragon so they can add this onto the board and it does also have a sacred scroll for us and a sacred scroll for the black player now with that in mind they are definitely going to orient this like that they are kind of setting it up so there is a way to get off of here I suppose once they've added it in this end we do see that this spot is already covered up in lava right in there and then they can add these sacred Scrolls on to the appropriate spots and then finally the last blue dragon will come out this is the a one it has three initiative and seven health and it's gonna appear on that spot and then for their next action the black player is going to do a gatherer with a bonus movement well it looks like they want to start off with that bonus and they're gonna go right over here where they're hoping to gather up their sacred scroll but as soon as they enter this tile they are going to go into combat with this blue dragon now we know that the dragon has a pretty low initiative of three and it looks like the black player has an initiative of six so they get to wield this gigantic weapon right here it's like a big mole with a guard and a dragon tooth on the tip and they actually get to attack it the blue dragon first the dragon does have seven health so we can put that right over here and now let's see how the black player fares with our first attack and I think it's gonna go okay for them they have one two three four five six seven eight nine and I actually forgot that they also have this scroll which starts the dragon off at five health so they were in a very good position to destroy this poor blue dragon it did not see that coming now the black player is going to get to a dragon tooth as a reward and then they will get five more points bringing them from 23 up to 28 at this point the black player can now finish out their gather action that means they can find at this sacred school right here and with that they're gonna pick up at this scroll that says that every time they move they can move plus one more time and they figure this might be good for them so they can stay in the volcano longer and try to run out really quickly near the end now of course this is going to get them three points which brings them up to 31 and they're actually quite close to the green player now we are the ones who are starting to lag behind and then they have to cover up one of their previous girls and they've decided that extra to damage to the dragons it's not that important at this point in the game anymore for them the black player's turn is now done so we can reveal another scroll and if this one says that you can turn the three wood in your backpack into a dragon tooth if you want to now remember if you are able to escape to the large Palace then every dragon tooth is worth one point at the end of the game so this is certainly one that may get grabbed near the end of the game to turn some wood into points it's time for us to go again and the clock is certainly ticking and I think what we should probably do is move we want to try and use this bonus as much as we can before the game ends so that's gonna get us at one point which brings us to 25 and then let's move two spaces over to the spot that has a sacred scroll next up I think we should do a gather action and this does mean that we are not going to be picking up a wood in order to turn this into a magical weapon during in this craft phase but I think the best thing for us to do is get a couple more points here with these turns trying to reveal stuff and pick up scrolls and then with our probably final craft of the game before we run out of the mountain we will turn this into a magic weapon so we can gather and we do have a bonus movement so let's go ahead and pick up this sacred scroll right here and then when it comes to picking a scroll I figure let's go with this one now it does seem nice turning wood into dragon's teeth but we don't actually have wood in fact we need to try and find a way to get at least one more wood so being able to potentially jump over one lava tile and these late stages of the game where the volcano is erupting could be worth a lot more points to us as we try to escape now the is gonna be worth three points to us right now which helps us catch up a little bit bring us to 28 and now we have to cover up one of these two and I think it's gonna be this one having an extra hit is nice but our weapon is now gigantic so I figure having extra backpack space is probably gonna be worth it considering in this backpack right here is getting quite full of Scrolls so we can add this in right over here and that is gonna finish out our turn now before we move on we do have to reveal another scroll and this one says that when you are fighting dragons if they break off a tooth in the middle of the fight you actually get to take two dragon's teeth instead of one okay the green player can now go and if they have decided that they want to run now that is going to give them one point which will push them just a little bit more into the lead and then before they move I did just realize that I missed one of the level 1 eruptions so that should be covered in lava and now they're gonna go one two three the green player can now take their second action but they have no tokens so they must rest and then when they craft they have decided to work on their helmet they're gonna move this down like in that and then add a single wood in so they're not doing a whole lot but that is enough for this to suddenly become magically imbued because that matches the pattern of this right over here it's in fact a really good version because they have a couple dragon's teeth down at the bottom so they can add this right on top and that is gonna finish out their turn before we go to the black player we do have to move it the eruption track forward once which is gonna bring it right on to this spot here and that means that we finally have the option of leaving this starting location is going to get replaced we can no longer gather resources here but now there is a rope leading down so we can actually escape from the spot if we want to the black player can now take their turn and with their first action they are going to move now as a bonus they do get to take one metal and then they're gonna move right onto the spot for their second action they have to rest so they can bring all of these tokens right back over here and when they craft it they've decided they're simply gonna add this dragon tooth into the top of their helm and they'll move this metal right over here to kind of cover the back side of their neck so to speak all right we can now take our sixth to final turn of the game and we obviously have to start off by resting so we can move all of these over here and we can craft it looks like we just have this one metal right here I figured let's work on our sandals we can rip this wood out and unfortunately that will be destroyed but by putting this over here we now could absorb two plus two plus one which is five damage and that is the amount of damage that you get for walking over lava now we can already walk over lava anyway on our turn but I still think this is a decent enough plan next up we do get to take one more action and I figure let's move because that will get us another point now this is gonna bring us up to twenty nine points and then when we move let's go one two three and set ourselves up to gather this would next turn so we can finally craft our magical weapon now it's worth noting that the way you actually escape is you end your turn on either one of the two escape spots on the board so that's potentially something that we're gonna look to do at the end of our next turn I think okay the green player can now go and they're gonna start off by moving and that's gonna get them a point that means they are now up to 35 and then they're gonna go one two three spaces on to this spot with three metal on it now they do still need a little bit more metal in order to get to their magical weapon online so they're gonna spend their second action this turning gathering now they do get a bonus wood with this and then they're gonna gather up these three metal from this location with that they have now finished out their turn and it's time to move the eruption track forward again this means that all of the mountain spots with a three on them will now get covered in lava and it does look like there are a few of them now that we've done all of that it does look like I did miss one too over here but I don't think that had any bearing on anything that we did and it's certainly now looking like it's a lot harder to navigate around this mountain it's now time for the black player to go again and they're gonna start by exploring and they do get a bonus point for this the only place they can go to is right here because that's where they are adjacent to so that's gonna get that one point for being a level two plus one for their bonus which means they are now up to thirty three points next up they do have to put this down onto this spot and it looks like it has a three that's already going to be covered up in lava and they have decided they're gonna put this down just like that of course they put the lava spot right over here and then there is a green sacred scroll on this location and then it does look like there is a resource spot right over there next up they are going to move and then it's going to get them with one metal and because they're doing the move action with this scroll they actually get to move up to four spaces it looks like this is going to work pretty well for them because they can go one two three four and they have now entered this temple over here and it has all three of its blueprints available for them this is likely the reason they have been beelining over here okay we can now take our fifth to final turn of the game and I figure we should gather to start things off and we do have a bonus move this means we can take a metal and a wood from this spot and then we could move right over here I think we now have to add these materials into our bags and I think now we should do is rest and craft we have exactly what we need in order to make a magical weapon at this point and we will set ourselves up so that next turn we can maybe just move twice getting one point each time and then landing on that final spot to leave the mountain and start cashing in all of these points for the stuff that we found while in it now I'm getting a little ahead of myself let's go ahead and rest so we can move all of these over and then when we craft we just need to make it this orientation happen with our weapon now again we needed five pieces of wood so we can bring this in right here and in fact we now have two four six eight ten at twelve pieces in here so that is the maximum number of cubes that we can have so let's start to match this up as has been a recurring theme throughout to this game I think let's stick a big hook on the end of this one right here we can kind of slide the whole thing down to make that fit inside of our area and this is a mighty weapon right here and in fact it is now imbued with a magical aura now you can see here that we put this on there and if we were to fight again and unfortunately I don't think we will we would roll this magic die that never gets broken and it looks like and it can do up to four damage so this is a very powerful die that unfortunately we are wielding now a little bit too late to actually use and you can see this also adds five to your initiative so our overall initiative would have been eight plus a five which is 13 which is definitely more than some of those dragons but again I think we are mostly doing this so that we can cash it in at the end of the game at the Emperor's Palace okay the green player cannot take their turn and they're gonna start off with another movement which is going to give them a bonus point they have certainly made great use of this throughout the game and that's gonna bring them to 36 and then they're just gonna move once right on to the spot to try and pick up this sacred scroll maybe on their next turn for their second action they now have to rest but then they do get to craft and it looks like they are in a position to be able to craft up at this magical weapon here it's a bit of a spear with a dragon tooth on the very end so with that in mind they can now bring in this material over and try to match this up once they have this just like that this is now magical so they can bring this over and maybe put it right there on their spear and they can keep these two pieces of wood in here and maybe they'll put them right up there to make it extra deadly right there at the end the green player's turn is done so we can now move the eruption track forward once this means the game's getting closer to ending but nothing actually happens on the spot on the track so it's time for the black player to take their fourth to final turn of the game and they are going to explore and get a bonus point currently they are next to two of these level three spots and they've decided they want to go right here now that gives two points plus one for their bonus which means they have actually tied up with a green player at 36 points next up we have to flip this over and orient it and it looks like there is a monkey there's a green dragon on the spot there is a level 4 spot to get overflowed with lava pretty soon and a resource so quite a few things are going on here and that you've decided they're gonna snap this in like that or actually no they're gonna go with this one right here so once they have slid this in they can add a monk to this location they also have a resource token that can come out for the level threes that one is two wood and a metal and then finally there are two of these green dragons left so in this case it looks like and they're gonna fight this one it has seven initiative and fourteen health and we can now add that on to the board the black player can now take their second action of the turn and it looks like they want to capitalize on the fact that they were next to a couple of those level three spots they're going to explore once again with a +1 point it looks like she is in this temple so that means she can explore over there getting to +1 or three more points which is gonna bring her into the lead at 39 next up she does have to orient this and it looks like it does not have any dragons on it in fact none of these spots are gonna get covered by lava it does have a sacred scroll for her as well so yeah she's definitely gonna put this one like that although she does need some resources so there are a couple of good options for her and in fact after rethinking it she's not too worried about that sacred scroll anymore she's gonna orient this one like in that she does have the ability to walk over one lava if she needs to and it's pretty important for her to be able to get to this resource because she figures this likely does have wood on it and she doesn't need wood so she's gonna put that right over here and the resource tile does give to wood in addition to a metal all right we can now take our next turn we have four turns total and it looks like we have four things we want to cash in with our two magical items that are fully built out as well as our two monks so with that in mind I do think we want to escape this turn and I figure we have these three action disks over here let's just go ahead and move twice the first move doesn't really matter as long as the second move brings us to the escape spot on the board and with each one of these move actions we get a bonus point so we go from 29 to 30 and then 31 and then we do have to move so we could go maybe one at two three and then one two and land over here now I just realized oops oh there is another lava right there I'm trying to do my best to spot all of these but having multiple people around the table would certainly help out with seeing these little lava spots and now we have finished out our turn and we are on the spot where we can escape in the mountain so it's time for us to do so since we escaped through the main exit we get to go to the big palace and we immediately get to put one of our rescued monks here or we could put down a magical helm or magical weapon because we have both of those completes now we want to put these out in a way to try and maximize our points and to minimize the points from our opponents coming in but it looks like they are not that close at the moment and in the future every time we have a turn instead of taking actions all we get to do is cash in another one of these things so let's begin things off by putting one of our monks right over here that is the first one so that gives us seven points it looks like we had 31 points so we can out-jump up to 38 and we are just one back from the leader now that our turn is complete the green player can go and they have decided they want to gather and they do get a wood as a bonus for that and it appears they've picked up their second sacred scroll of the game this means they get to choose one of these three here and they do currently have some wood in their backpack so they're gonna go with this one now they can immediately gather three victory points which ties them with the black player at 39 and then when they come over here we can see that they do not have a monk helping them out with Scrolls so they have to cover this one up right here and they just keep it that right over there in their backpack that finishes out in the gather action so now they're gonna do their second action which is no surprise it's gonna be moving which gives them a bonus point which just barely puts them in the lead at forty at this point they're thinking they should probably make their way out of the mountain now so they're gonna go one two three and they are now somewhat closer to escaping with the green player's turn now over we can move the eruption track forward which means it's now time to overflow all of the level four spots in the mountain now that certainly are a few of these scattered about in fact this one right over here is going to start making things harder for the black player to escape out to this main exit speaking of the black player it's time for them to take their turn their first action is going to be resting and we do see that they want to craft this metal right over here into their helm now they do have this bonus that lets them move when they rest but unfortunately they're still in a position where they don't want to use this just yet so now they can go into their second action of their turn and they are going to gather and this does have a bonus movement and with this they want to gather some magical blueprints it's certainly a little bit late in the game for this but they're gonna go ahead and pick this one up right here and they'll go with these sandals as well so they can add these or right into their bags they can bring in the plans over here and then they do have a bonus movement and with this they're gonna walk on to that resource space alright we can now take our next turn and since we are out of the mountain over here in the palace we can now cash in another victory point reward I think in this case let's go ahead and do our magical weapon now we could put that right over here because again we have this blueprint and we have the completed magical weapon with that pattern in our area so we can slide this right on top of there and get 10 points it looks like we were at 238 so this is gonna jump us up to 48 well that finished up our quick turn because we are not in the mountain anymore so now the green player can go and for their first action that they are going to move and gain a bonus point first off that point will get them to 41 and then they can move it three spaces on the board at this point the green player can take their second action and they really wish they could leave the mountain at this point but they don't have any disks that means they have to go ahead and arrest and then potentially craft although it looks like instead they do have that three pieces of wood in their backpack they could have done this last turn actually and now they're just gonna do it that will allow them to turn all three of this wood into a dragon tooth which again will be worth one point to them as long as they make it out to the large Palace now that their turn is done we can move it the eruption track once forward which means that all of the level five areas on the mountain will now get covered in lava but at this point it looks like there are surprisingly just two of those spots out here it's now time for the black player to go and they are realizing that their time is essentially running out they have all of this nice big equipment but they're not really sure if they're gonna be able to craft this into what they need and be able to turn it into points out at the palace so for the moment they're gonna start off by moving this does mean they will get one metal into their supply and then instead of gathering this they've changed their plan and they are now gonna walk over this lava on going one two three four because they do have +1 movement when they move now since they ran over lava that means their sandals are going to take a five damage and since every metal can absorb two that means all three of these will get wiped out by running over that lava patch it's now time for their second action and they realize that they need to rest because that will allow them to craft on this turn and the reason for that is because they need the materials that are currently in their helmet down here into their sandals to make magical sandals that can turn into ten points at the end of the game now you can only interact with one type of equipment so currently in this round what that means is they can pull all three of these things down that they need and then one thing does have to get destroyed when you downgrade so they will get rid of this metal right here and then next turn they can potentially run out of the mountain and craft again and to try and create these magical sandals all right we can now take our next turn and things are starting to look pretty good for us considering we got out so early this is now going to allow us to cash in this magical helm and since we're doing all of these are on the first spot we were getting tons of points for them we were lagging behind but now we are shooting ahead because now this is gonna get us 10 more points bringing us up to 58 all right the green player can now go and it looks like they're gonna do what we did on our last turn in the mountain they're just gonna walk around twice they realistically only need to do this once but they want to do it twice to get to April just point each time this means they're gonna go from 41 up to 43 and then they're gonna go one two three four five six with those two movements so this means they're gonna end their turn on the exit spots so they can now go over to the palace and once they get here they're gonna go ahead and cash in this magical helm they have the blueprint and they were able to put that together in their area so that is going to get them eight points it looks like it they were at 43 so that's going to bring them up to 51 that finishes the green player's turn so we can of the eruption track forward again that's gonna bring the token over here and this means that every player has one more turn so the black player can now take their final turn and the first action that they want to do is simply crafting again now you don't have to wait till all your actions are done you can do this whenever you want to so they can move all of these over and then they are gonna go ahead and take this dragon's tooth this metal and this wood and they're gonna put them down here into their sandals now once they have aligned these up in a way that matches this pattern that means they now have magical sandals and you can discard this magic token from the sandals whenever you're walking over lava to absorb it for of the damage so they can put that right here and now for their second turn they are going to move now this will give them a bonus of metal but that's not actually going to impact them in the game and then they can move up to four spaces because they have that plus one movement scroll but in this case they just need the one two three and then they're gonna end there a final turn of the game on this exit spot which means they have successfully made it out of the mountain here and over into the big Palace now when they enter the palace they are of course able to cash in one of these rewards and they were able to get these magical sandals done and the reason they prioritize this is because well they knew they were the only ones to do it so that means they will still get ten points for this and that's gonna bring them from 39 points up to 49 all right we can now take our final turn of the game and it looks like the last thing that we can really cash out at this moment besides the dragon's teeth that we will get points for at the end is going to be this monk right here we can put them or right over onto the spot and that's gonna get us five points and that's gonna bring us from fifty eight up to sixty three we've now reached the final turn of the game and that's the green player who is in the big palace and they are gonna use this to cash in at this magical spear right here which they have the blueprint for and is fully formed when we come back to the big palace it looks like that is going to get them eight points and that will bring them from 51 up to 59 and with that we have reached the end of the game now at this point we can all do some final cash ins for some of these bonuses for the minimum amount if we had any more of these magical blueprints you could cash them in for the minimum that would be three points on all of these but it looks like and nobody else was able to make any magical blueprints that were not cashed in now we can also get one point for every monkey that was not returned now we return to all of ours but it looks like the green player had two of them over here so that is going to be two more points for green bringing them to 61 and then the black player had four of these over here they were the late comer to get out of the mountain but they are still going to get one point for each so that will be four more points bringing them up to 53 the last thing we're going to get points for are all of our dragon's teeth no matter where they are on our player boards so let's start with us and it looks like we have three dragon's teeth total which will bring us to a final endgame score of 66 it looks like the green player has four dragon's teeth on their board which will bring them to a final endgame score of 65 just one behind us and lastly the black player has just two dragon's teeth and this is gonna bring black to a final endgame score of 55 so this is how the game ends black is in third with 55 green came just barely in second with 65 and we have won it with 66 points and that completes one full three player game of Fuji core oh well I hope you enjoyed this playthrough overall it seems like we were able to cover all of the main bases in this game throughout this plane we had a lot of focus on crafting as players were trying to get the gear cards completed in the earlier stages of the game and then get those magical items made in the later stages of the game in particular to be more effective when fighting those dragons but also to try and cash out and get a lot of points for them now another big aspect to this game is fighting those dragons and a few dragons were slain in this video it's kind of surprising that we won despite the fact that we only killed one dragon when our opponents slayed multiple but we were able to get a good amount of points through other avenues trying to piece all of that stuff together I suppose it was also surprising we won considering the green player accidentally cheated and took two turns in a row I'm really sorry about that I definitely try to not have things like that happen in these videos now when it comes to what the different players were doing obviously the green player was trying to be a dragon slayer and they were able to defeat the Dragons a couple times and another big thing for the green player is they very early on were able to get the gear card out for the weapon because they slayed a dragon early to get that dragon tooth to make that weapon and that gave them the plus 1 victory point bonus which they wisely slotted - their movement area now I didn't count it up but I think a pretty significant amount of their points came in one increments as they wandered around this mountain throughout most of the game getting a point every time they did that we obviously did the same thing at the very end of the game and we were able to squeeze a few points out of it but getting that done early was a really big benefit for the green player now the black player decided to do it a little bit differently and they put that plus one victory point bonus in their Explorer action and they really focused on trying to explore as much of the map as they could and they got a decent amount of points from that although in the end it seems like it wasn't quite enough to make up for the fact that both of their opponents got more magical items out I do think that the black player made a pretty key strategic mistake in the early to middle stages of the game at one point they kind of went over and sniped out a monk from underneath the green player and instead I think they probably should have used those actions to go to the closed temple and pick up the magic items themselves because they took that monk the green player just went ahead and they had the tempo to get those magical items in a mint that the black player were only able to get those blueprints at the very very end of the game and I think that was kind of a tipping point for the black player they ended up doing a pretty decent job but throughout the game despite that strategic mistake right there and it was interesting seeing them try to evolve in the way they were getting points as they were playing the game now obviously we were a somewhat balanced character we did a decent amount of exploring and we got metal every time we did it but we got the vast majority of our points I think through getting those Scrolls and we were also able to slay one big dragon which was good but the big thing for us was the fact that we got two magical items made and be gone out early that allowed us to get the maximum amount of points we could have gotten for both of our monks as well as those two magical plans so the fact that we got less points in the middle of the game was made I was kind of fixed because we were able to escape earlier than the rest of our opponents and we got a lot more points for those things the black player had four monks at the very end of the game and they got four points total for all of those whereas we had two monks and we got I think like 12 ish points for that so obviously that worked a lot better for us in that way so yeah I think at that point that's gonna pretty much wrap up all my thoughts
