FSLTL | Free AI Traffic Addon for MSFS | Full Setup Tutorial

foreign [Music] hello there guys and welcome back to the Q8 pilot channel in this video I'm going to show you how to install and configure FS LTL and you AI traffic add-on for Microsoft flight simulator let us begin with the installation process it is highly recommended that you remove any other AI traffic add-ons from your community folder before you proceed with this video tutorial the first step is to download fsltl it is available through the flyby wire installer if you don't already have it proceed to FS live trafficliveries.com link provided in the description download the flyby wire installer and install it once you have downloaded installed and launched the flyby wire installer click on the fs LTL icon that appears here the fsltl package contains two components that are required for the AI traffic to work in Microsoft flight simulator go ahead and install the base models of fsltl traffic as well as the fs LTL traffic injector once you are through with the installation you are able to browse the files through the package files here we are now ready to launch Microsoft flight simulator and start injecting some traffic once you have launched Microsoft flight simulator head to the general options menu and then select the traffic option from the traffic option make sure that you set the ground aircraft density to zero otherwise random AI traffic will be generated at your airports we are currently situated at San Francisco International Airport let's go ahead and bring up the fs LTL traffic injector to start the injector simply click on the start button from the flyby wire installer as you can see here the fs LTL injector is not running let's go ahead and click on start once you have started the injectory command prompt will appear please note that this command prompt will appear every time you start the injector it allows you to change the number of rfr VFR and parked aircraft in the SIM let's go in and select the option yes to change some of these values the first option is to set the maximum active IFR aircraft please note that the higher the number the more performance will suffer so make sure that you select your numbers widely for my preference I'm going to select 80. the next option is to set the maximum active VFR aircraft in the Sim obviously VFR traffic is a lot less than IFR traffic and so I'm going to leave this at the default of 10. the next option additional parked aircraft will set the number of static aircraft at the airport please note that this number denotes a percentage so 4 is 40 static aircraft the AI traffic injector will place aircraft at the gate according to Flight Radar 24 data it does this quite well let's go ahead and select four which represents 40 percent of static aircraft at the airport the blocked aircraft removal time is the time that the injector will start removing aircraft that are causing problems such as getting stuck on a Runway or a taxiway so this is a nice option and please do note that you need to set this time in increments of 30 seconds for my preference I'm going to set 30 seconds for better and more accurate results it is highly recommended that you obtain an API key from the flyplan database.com website to do this follow the current steps proceed toplan database.com log in to your existing account or create a new account if you don't already have one once you have completed this step click on your profile and select settings go to API access and create a new API key select the API key that was generated for you hit Ctrl C to copy your API key proceed back to the injector command prompt and paste your API key in my case I have already done this step so I'm just going to hit enter and as you can see now we have the message saying injection started back in the Sim within about 30 seconds you should start seeing some traffic being generated as you can see fsltl has injected traffic into San Francisco International according to Flight Radar 24 data of course this is not 100 percent accurate but it is a very close match to what you see on the actual radar from the command prompt you are now able to see all the AI traffic being generated Based on real-world data FS LTL provides you with a couple of options available via the toolbar click on the fs LTL traffic icon the two options are self-explanatory but suffice it to say that clicking on the reset traffic injection button will remove all generated AI traffic in the Sim and restart the injection process remove nearby traffic will remove any traffic nearby your aircraft this might be useful if there is an aircraft stuck on the runway or on the taxiway and blocking your way to terminate the injection session and stop all AI traffic proceed to the FSL injector from the flyby wire installer and simply click on stop to stop all generated traffic my final remarks on fsltl is that it is the best freeware AI traffic add-on for Microsoft light simulator it is very easy to install and configure and it really does bring up the level of immersion at the airports by injecting real-world data based on flight radar 24.
