Fresh File in 19:49 (v1.37+ - Post-Launch Update)

few tales are told of hades whose very name inspires fear and penitence reminding us of the inevitable fate which we all share i however mean to tell you such a tale listen carefully goodbye father to hell with this place but thank you perfection uh we just had a run that was we've had a couple runs today that were like pb pace but not sub 20 face that uh one died to getting three sec and not having impending and one just died to hades having really bad spawns and also like i just just straight up died but it would have been really tough to pb once that insta darkness came out and i'm not going to be satisfied with a you know a 2013 time nice loud central heart well okay so in the past it always felt a little bit weird to say world record right because there just weren't other people that were pushing the category that were grinding as hard as i was there was like a like a three minute gap between world record and the closest time so kind of fell into the habit of just saying pb it feels weird to say world record on something that like you're the only one putting legitimate time into but i mean nowadays there's a lot more people that are grinding so it doesn't feel as uh doesn't feel as weird to say it god's going to be strength not yet well this is awkward come on mate you're a father got you the ancient blood i can't hear myself now we're getting somewhere crushes out to say kratts that thing that's the sun let's put 200 bits finna fresh family credits i don't think so so here's where we stand i don't think that me getting this is gonna stop everyone else who's been grinding i think there might be like a small period of time where people might take some time off but i think this category is still gonna be pushed and i still want to push it that said there are other things that i want to do and it's hard to make time for everything i've been saying for the past couple weeks now that once i got this sub 20 one of the one of the things i really want to do is get fresh file to be marathon safe so i can get submitted to stuff like gdq and esa and stuff like that um just because i think it's just a great way to display the game like it just makes the most sense at a marathon out of any of the formats except that it's so goddamn hard and it's so easy to fail right so that's something i really want to work on but also i mean we we had some time to save on this run and i'm watching this vodback is going to kill me because i'm going to see all the places i could have saved this time i was really hoping that i would just get like a 19 3x out of the gate because i would have been pretty satisfied with that but at 1950 i might be back at this sooner than you all think we'll have to wait and see though um make sure you guys um if you aren't already to follow all the other amazing fresh file speedrunners uh and haiti speeders in general but particularly like over the last month or so two months maybe even fresh file has seen a bit of a renaissance there's a ton of new runners some people are really pushing people were competing with me all the way for this sub 20 this first sub 20 so make sure you check them out it includes i don't want to leave anyone out i'll list a few names so lat millard of course uh museus of course um nitro starch um retrospector seagull um pseudo [ __ ] i'm gonna leave people out there's a bunch of people that are grinding that are like newer that don't have times yet or um or have like third run times or whatever that there's a bunch of them make sure you check them all out thanks stretch yeah fives shaded lots and lots of runners so they they all need the support just as much as i did to uh to get here so make sure you check them out um but yeah [ __ ] i think i think i'm gonna just breathe for a little while what's up right yeah we we did it yeah where's julio's julio's been like talking [ __ ] he came in here earlier saying i thought we were going for sub 20. yeah we did the thing we did the thing where did nancy go he was here for like one another was lurking for a while in and out you're here to hear me cry thanks grace huh feels good you know i might not be the first person to go sub 19 that might end up being someone else but uh we can say we did it we were the first sub 20.
