hello welcome on back to my channel today with me i have a fellow makeup artist whom i connected with on instagram she dm'd me and we decided to create some magic together and complete a makeup look on her she's absolutely stunning her name is ono and because my last video was such a dramatic look i decided to do something a little bit more toned down keep most of the emphasis on the skin and keeping it clean and fresh and pairing it with a really easy and achievable eye look this is really great for any girl or boy on the run wants to get out the door and wants to have a makeup routine locked down that's really quick and efficient so if you want to learn how i created this look right here then keep on watching so to start i'm using the rose deep hydration oil infused serum from fresh beauty and i'm applying this onto ono's face using a makeup wedge i'm using more of a sweeping motion because i'm not looking to apply a lot of this just enough to hydrate the skin and prepare it for the product i'll be putting on top of it once i have that serum evenly applied i'm going to go in with the too faced born this way matte foundation in the shade golden beige and apply this onto the skin now it wasn't until after i had applied the serum that i chose to use this foundation and it's important to mention this because usually i wouldn't apply a foundation that has a mattifying formula to it on top of an oil-based moisturizer or serum because we all know oil and water they just don't get along and when layered together it can sometimes cause the foundation to separate just like if you were to mix oil and water together they separate but i did use a very sheer layer of the serum and i really wanted to try out this foundation too faced was nice enough to send it to me and i figured heck let's try it out and if worse comes to worse we'll wipe it off and start over but thankfully that wasn't the case so now that i have this applied to the areas i want coverage it's time to move on to the next step which is to bring back the contours of her face so to contour i'm using huda beauty's tantor and contour cream in the shade light and with the smaller face brush i'm going to begin pressing this into the cheekbone area as i said in the beginning of this video i wanted to create a really fresh and simple look not necessarily transformative but just an application that accentuates our model's naturally beautiful features so like the foundation i'm not going in really heavy with this contour cream more than trying to give the illusion of different features my main goal with this cream is to bring back dimension to her face and to bronze it up a bit besides the cheekbones i'm also applying this along the perimeter of our model's forehead along the jawline and down the sides of the nose even though i want this to be a really soft look i'm keeping in mind that a lot of this contour is going to be blended out so i apply enough to be sure that there will still be products left in place after the blend but not too much where it starts to look heavy also anytime my client or the person i'm doing makeup on is wearing a top that has their shoulders exposed i always apply product there too so the shoulders are cohesive with the sun kissed look i created on the face once we have the contour cream placed where we want it's time to begin blending i'm going back to my beauty blender and beginning to buff out the cream i know a lot of you enjoy watching this blending process so here it is do [Music] okay so once we have that contour blended out i'm going to begin highlighting using the too faced to born this way in the shade nude and start with concealing and brightening the under eyes you'll notice i'm working in sections so once i have the concealer placed i immediately begin blending it out before moving on to another part of the face and just as a random fun fact this final look ends up probably being my most favorite makeup look i've created for my youtube channel so far which is kind of bizarre given that it's such a simple look but i'm just i'm really happy with how it turned out i don't know i'm kind of hard on myself when it comes to makeup i wouldn't say i'm a perfectionist i'm just i'm just never satisfied with my work you know what i mean i'm sure there's got to be someone out there watching who can relate at least a little bit but this is probably why it took me so long to start youtube i tried starting a couple of years ago i filmed over 60 tutorials and i wasn't happy with not one of them so i sat the footage in the archives and put youtube on the back burner and when i did start youtube a few months ago i promised myself one thing and that's that regardless of how the look turns out it's being posted it's going up jesus take the wheel it's it's all or nothing and it's been one of my biggest personal breakthroughs but i say all that to say that um well i i don't know where i was going with that i don't know i'm just like rambling on so embarrassing um oh yeah but i i love how this look turned out okay i'm gonna stop talking and just watch the blending with you guys [Music] [Music] [Music] all right so once i have that concealer blended out and have done just a tad bit of spot concealing i'm using the makeup forever hd loose setting powder to set everything this is one of my top favorite setting powders i use as long as it's used correctly because i know there is concern from a lot of people of their possibly being flashback with this powder but that's only if you go in heavy with it and bake with it but you may notice i'm not using a lot of it here in fact i'm barely using any of it at all i'm going in with such a small amount of this just enough to get the results i want which is a set and matte base that i can apply bronzer onto and blush onto without it skipping and looking muddy now that the makeup is set i'm going in with the fenty beauty island tang bronzer to give a little more dimension and color to the areas i had applied the contour cream previously and just like the previous steps i'm not sweeping or dragging this bronzer i'm using more of a stipple motion and pressing motion with this brush because i don't want the bristles of the brush to leave imprint or take any of the foundation off especially since it was only very lightly set with powder so i'm being pretty careful with this [Music] step next for blush i'm using patrick toss double take cream and powder blush in the shade she's fat girl and i'm working this into the cheeks for a look like the one i'm doing today i really go in with the blush because i want that to be the focal point of the face blushing glowing cheeks i also tend to go pretty heavy with blush because somehow some way i find that by the end of the makeup application blush seems to somehow always disappear for me but by the end of this application you'll see how beautiful this blush ends up soaking into the skin and as you see i'm bringing this blush up onto the eyelids down the neck and shoulders and a bit behind the ears for highlighter i i forgot to grab the product shot i'm sorry guys i messed up but what i end up using is the shimmering skin perfector highlighter from becca in the shade opal i'll link it down below along with everything else i'm applying this onto the high points of ono's cheekbones along with down the center of the nose cupid's bow and a very light amount to the forehead the perk to working with matte foundations and with powders is that it can really help diffuse the appearance of skin texture such as pores and blemishes and then to trick the eye into looking like you have glowing healthy skin that's texture free you go in with a product that reflects light like a highlighter and apply that to the areas of the face that doesn't have texture so you get the best of both worlds i'm also placing this highlighter in the inner corners of the eyes to brighten those areas heading back now to my setting powder with an eyeshadow brush i'm just running this through the brows and what this is doing for me is it's completely mattifying the hairs and the skin underneath the brow hairs so that when i do go in with a brow pencil the pencil really grips onto the skin therefore dispensing more pigment otherwise if i don't set the brows the skin will remain slippery from the foundation and the moisturizer used and then i won't get any color from the pencil because it'll just be gliding across the skin on top of the skin i don't know if that makes much sense i hope it does but the brow pencil i'm using here is from covergirl in the shade rich brown and i'm slowly just running this through the brows building up the color and the shape that i want i am speeding up this part of the footage just because it's a bit tedious and time consuming but i still wanted to keep the whole process in here so you see how i build up the brow once i've created the shape i like best i'm going to strengthen the brow color using a dark brown eyeshadow i usually prefer brows to match the color of a person's hair roots so you can see this eyeshadow definitely help thicken and deepen the color of the brows to match her hair and then every so often i'll take the spoolie end of my brow pencil to brush the product through so i did the other brow off camera and now i'm moving on to the eyes the first pigment i'm using on the eyes is the same fenty bronzer we had used on the face earlier i'm lightly veiling the upper lids with this i don't want to be strong or intense i just want it to be a light wash of color and i'll also bring this bronzer to the bottom lash line and lightly smoke it out next i'm using the lorac unzipped eyeshadow palette i know it looks busted i literally dropped it right as i was taking it out of the packaging and yeah the rest is history so with an angled eye brush i'm dipping into the brown shade in the palette and creating a soft winged liner now i know one of the top requests i get from you guys is to show you how to do an eyeshadow for hooded eyes or how to make eyes appear larger with makeup which i considered doing on our model ono before meeting her and trust me a year or two ago i would have gone in with a dramatic eye shadow by now to create a deep crease and maybe would have thrown in a glitter and a heavy lash but i've grown in the sense that i don't feel the need to always do dramatic transformations to prove myself if that makes sense by the way here i'm using the shimmer from the palette to place onto the center of her lids so like i was saying for anyone watching who can relate with me on what i was saying just know that i've learned that having restraint and having an eye for when to stop and put down the brush is of itself a talent it's a skill one that's taken me a very long time to learn one that i'm still learning to this day because you guys know i love a full glam but there is a time and a place for everything and when ono arrived on this filming day and i met her for the first time i knew that and there that i didn't want to go real heavy with the glam on her her eyes in my opinion were the most striking and beautiful features of her face her eye shape says a lot about her and her identity where she comes from her culture so why would i want to create an eye shape that has her looking like every other girl out there you know what i mean and yes one of these days soon i'll create a tutorial for hooded eye shapes but dang it as for today it's my channel and it's my name on the marquis so i'm doing what i want i'm so dramatic and i'm ranting on again okay moving on while i was talking and talking i applied the lashes which is the style moonlight from raquel beauty raquel is an incredible makeup artist and he just released his own lash line and they are all so beautiful i'll link his site down below so you can check them out and then i followed up with using a lash curler which really just helps bind together the lash strip with her natural lashes and now i'm running the urban decay perversion mascara through her top and bottom lashes our model barely has bottom lashes so i dip back into our brown eyeshadow and place it along the bottom lash line to give it a little more dimension now that we have the eyes complete i'm wiping off any product on her lips and then applying a light amount of setting powder and this just helps with how the lip liner applies the same exact concept of mine that i was explaining earlier regarding the brows with a morphe liner in the shade crush i'm going to begin lining her lips i opted for this shade because it's a slight bit darker than her natural lip shade and i felt it'd be the perfect lip color to finish off this look i'm focusing this product more towards the borders and leaving the center empty i'm actually not going to use a lipstick today i'm just going to follow up with a gloss for the gloss and the final step of this look i'm using a buxom lip gloss in the shade dolly if you've watched the video i posted of me doing my own makeup you already know my love for this gloss i use it on myself all the time it's so good guys and you know it's not really my style to push products on you if you like something great if you don't great but really though this gloss is where it's at it's a must-have for anyone just try it out and thank me later but this ladies and gentlemen is how we transformed our beautiful model into a full-blown covered girl where do we go [Music] it kids i hope you guys enjoyed today's video if you did be
