They are nutjobs. This also appears to be a magistrate rather then a judge, I'm sure he retired to call a friend and the conversation went something like "I thought you were lying about those Freemen crazies. Fucking hilarious shitbags."

Edit: I'm wondering if the Clan thing was relevant. Maybe he's invoking a dusty older law that had been long since forgotten.

Can someone please explain what the hell happened there? I seem to be just as confused as everyone in that video.
Ok I will try and explain this... He is apart of a group that believes that maritime law ( yes the ocean and sea) or common law (?) is more enforceable than the established courts.
They argue mostly that the birth name given to you is a GIVEN name ( it gets really confusing..) but basically that you are a commodity like a piece of stock on a ship. Therefore, tax laws do not apply to you as the courts can not address you.. as YOU.
