well hello everybody how are you let us say a quick prayer in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit amen heavenly father we ask through the grace of the most holy eucharist that you give us the gift of grace to be able to live your divine mercy through the power of the holy spirit to the sacrifice of your son and through the gift of you as abba father we ask being here in the north american martyr shrine that they may intercede for us as we ask you to keep us on that path to eternal life and we ask especially through the intercession of saint kateri and saint faustina and o mayhem may almighty god bless us this day all the days of our life and lead us to eternal life amen in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit amen well god bless everybody i'm father chris aylar i'm from the national shrine of the divine mercy in stockbridge massachusetts so i just finished doing a talk on the immaculate heart of mary and the triumph of the immaculate heart which ended at 12 30 in stockbridge so i jumped in the car uh nancy knows the drill and raced up here uh as our tank was running out of gas and haven't eaten yet today so i'll mooch free sandwiches from anybody who has them and i will meet would love to meet you out afterwards there's a break we're going to do my talk then the chaplet and then afterwards i have a table right out through the main doors there where i have my dvd series i have my uh first book on really it's a it's called after suicide but please don't let that fool you because the book gives you spiritual principles to help through any kind of tragedy any kind of loss breakups estrangements uh death of of loved ones not just suicide the the principles are the same then i just finished my other book on understanding divine mercy you guys are smart good catholics will always say father we can't understand god's mercy what are you calling your book that for aha saint faustina quotes our lord in the diary saying we cannot understand god in his essence but we can come to know god through his attributes and what is god's greatest attribute mercy so that's why i titled the book that so i'd love to get you you know what if you can't afford it's listed for 15 you come and say father i forgot my wallet today i'll pray for you deal you can take it with you whatever donation whatever donation you can give god bless you whatever we can pray for you pray for us especially do i have any of our live streamers here with us today that watch the marions on live stream ah yay so we invite you all if you haven't watched us on live stream daily we do the nine o'clock mass on our youtube channel and our facebook page we have father kaz does masses i do masses and we have the chaplet the rosary on every saturday we do on the morning a talk on the faith i've done 53 of them now about explaining the faith we'd love you to join us so especially if you are here from our live streams come introduce yourself i would love to say hello and so god bless all of you let us now begin with what i feel is a great topic in the location that we are about eucharistic miracles and saint kateri all right i think i'm going to start first with the eucharistic miracles because that is the whole basis of our faith and then we'll talk a little bit more about saint katie which isn't a talk i've ever given before so if you've uh if you've you're staying here you say well father i heard a little bit about that i've never given this talk on saint katie before so we're glad to be here all right so let's talk first about the eucharist and first of all am i yelling too loud or not loud enough okay okay good okay so everybody you know knows and we don't have to tell you our bodies need a bath so we take showers right our souls need a bath so we go to confession our bodies need food so we eat so our souls need food too so we have holy communion as the food for the journey this is our food our bread of life now john 20 john 6. i don't need to read it to you i think you all know it especially verse 53 i think through 58 unless you eat my body and drink my blood you have no life in you and the first thing i point out about that is non-catholics god bless them we'll always point out it's symbolic well actually if you go to the aramaic jesus spoke aramaic the expression that he used yes the gospels are written in greek but if you look at the example in the aramaic to eat the flesh or drink the blood of someone actually meant to persecute them or assault them so it would not be the way jesus would give us to earn eternal life all right literally we believe this is true because the word used in the greek tragon actually means to gnaw to literally chew and so we know also that it's literally true because first corinthians 11 says if we eat this unworthily we will bring condemnation upon ourselves now as i always say if you've ever seen me eat a piece of pizza you will see irreverence and unworthiness because usually i'm flying to my next meeting i'm driving in the car eating and there's just no reverence there why because it's a piece of bread paul would never tell me that there's condemnation for eating a piece of pizza unreally so him saying that we are going to condemn ourselves for eating this bread unworthily must mean what it's real christ it's the real presence and so this is what the word trigon means we literally eat it's not figurative and so the catholic mass brings this whole message to us john this whole message now you've probably heard scott hahn say and he makes a good point that the sacrifice lamb of the old testament right the old testament that passover lamb had to be eaten or the sacrifice wasn't valid now what's interesting is the sacrifice of the lamb at passover and the sacrificed lamb of the mass are the same important heavenly glory is unveiled in the liturgy and in fact i learned this from scott hahn he's a friend of mine do you know the greek meaning of the word apocalypse what does apocalypse mean explosions earthquakes disasters no apocalypse doesn't mean any of that you know what apocalypse means and it's not a movie what was that one in the 70s apocalypse now it's not that either do you know what apocalypse means unveiling to unveil and there was a viral video out last year called the mass unveiled and so this is what we have in our faith communion then is that divine activity taking place within the trinity that now you can participate in you know i'm here to talk a little bit about eucharistic miracles but do you know the greatest eucharistic miracle ever recorded you've heard a lot and i know i'm going to butcher this leonciano lunziano all right the one in buenos aires i'm going to talk a little bit about but do you know the greatest eucharistic miracle ever recorded anybody the mass every single mass is a eucharistic miracle turning a piece of bread into the body and blood of christ at every mass is the greatest these other eucharistic miracles are just showing you signs of that the blood that comes from that the human heart tissue but the greatest miracle has already happened at the altar before any of the bleeding or the human flesh in the host this is important now only christ is present sacramentally we know that under the appearance of bread and wine but what about the father and the holy spirit are they part of the eucharist when you consume the eucharist are you also receiving the father and the holy spirit yes yes not sacramentally only jesus was in flesh only jesus was body blood the father never incarnated the holy spirit never incarnated but you are right you receive thee still the presence of the father and the holy spirit who are present with christ in perfect unity by concomitance circumcession you are receiving the whole trinity so the importance of a sacrifice a sacrament you've all heard me say this online a sacrament is everything that makes our faith different this person just wrote me online yesterday how arrogant we catholics are because we think it's easier for us to get to heaven is that true is it easier for you catholics to get to heaven yes because you have the special thing called the sacraments now like i say i think the sacraments are going to help me get to heaven despite myself despite my brokenness despite my struggles daily the sacraments are the way to help us get to heaven it's not arrogance it's called the truth only the catholic faith has the sacraments and what is the sacrament sacrament is an efficacious sign of god's grace an outward sign of an inward grace an efficacious sign instituted by christ entrusted to the church by which divine life is instilled in you i can't repeat this enough they don't even teach this in our schools anymore catholic schools or catechism this is unreal and so what happens at transubstantiation is the miracle all right the miracle is a change of substance trans change of substance it goes from bread and wine to body and blood now and i apologize here because i've got to watch my time i know i'm always guilty of taking too much time all right cana i did a talk you can find this online called the eucharist in scripture and in there i point to the importance of the two species the body and the blood but if i was to put that consecrated host under a microscope what would i find would i find bread and wine or would i find flesh and blood the accidents what we mean by accidents are it looks like bread it tastes like bread the accidents of bread still remain but the substance we believe in faith is now the body and blood of christ most of the time if you put that under the microscope you will find bread particles but there are sometimes you will find human flesh and human blood i'm going to talk to you about that all right now jesus gave thanks cana okay cain what a cana foreshadow the precious blood right the wine the water then was first made into wine and then christ is getting ready to make that wine into what at the last supper his blood jesus gave thanks what about the multiplication of the loaves that foreshadows the eucharist why because jesus gave thanks said the blessing broke the bread and what does it say next gave it to his disciples so what did jesus do on the multiplication of the loave did he hand the people and feed the people 5 000 no what did he do he gave it to the apostles to distribute they show that christ wants this to be distributed through the church otherwise oh i only go right to jesus well jesus went through the apostles so you don't want to tell him you don't like the way he's telling you to go you want to be like okay lord if that's the way you want me to go to you and from you to find you is through the apostles i will do it that's the church and so we have something here very important now god normally takes ordinary things makes them extraordinary and he does that with bread ordinary thing makes it extraordinary his body and his blood then he gave it to the crowd through the priests this shows that god was giving us grace through the church all right let's talk about the eucharistic miracles the church fathers tell us a lot about two things more than any other for fifteen hundred years until the reformation what two things did the church fathers talk about for 1500 years more than any other before the reformation mary and the eucharist what two things are uniquely catholic mary mary and the eucharist what two things are going to be your greatest aid getting you to heaven mary and the eucharist oh wow i see a beautiful picture of divine mercy on the back wall there that's awesome that's the answer that's the answer all right now christ leaves his body and blood in the form of a host why non-catholics can't understand this because jesus said i will remain with you until the end of the time well how in the world is jesus going to remain with us to the end of time when he just ascended to the father jesus said i'm going to remain with you to the end of the time and then turns around and goes up to the father how does he remain with us to the end of the time if he goes up to the father the eucharist and so the eucharist is very powerful and i read this one time online you may have heard it but i think it's so powerful i want to share with you this is saint faustina talking about the eucharist and this will show you the real presence this is my favorite passage other than the direct passages about grace this is my favorite story in the whole diary of saint faustina has anybody heard the story of the jumping eucharistic host anybody i said it online once so you have to go back and find it all right this is diary number 44 from saint faustina one day jesus said to me now remember she's living in a convent with nuns so this is a real wake-up call for us one day jesus said to me i'm going to leave this house he's talking about a convent because there are things here which displease me my goodness he's talking about a nuns how much could he say about the rest of us i'm leaving here because there are things here which displease me faustina writes and the host came out of the tabernacle and came to rest in my hands and i with joy placed it back in the tabernacle so our lord says i'm leaving [Music] and he literally comes out of the tabernacle in a host and lays in her hand what does faustina do she puts them back this was repeated a second time and i did the same thing despite this it happened a third time this is why i love saint faustina she stands right up to the lord this happened a third time but this time the host was transformed into the living lord jesus so here he was as this host comes out says i'm leaving she puts him back in comes back out says i'm leaving she puts him back in he comes back out a third time and he says i will stay here no longer what's going on in this house is displeasing me again i keep saying man what would he say about our houses if these are polish nuns i will stay here no longer at this moment a powerful love for jesus rose up in my soul and i answered him and i i will not let you leave this house jesus and again she stands up to jesus imagine he says i'm leaving and she says i'm not going to let you leave jesus and so she says i will not let you leave this house and again jesus disappeared but now the host was back in my hands once again i put it back i put it back in the chalice and closed it up in the tabernacle and guess what she said jesus stayed with us she stayed and jesus stayed with us i undertook to make three days of adoration as a means of reparation you see the incredible grace we have through the eucharist jesus says i'm leaving and she says no you're not i'm going to adore you in the blessed sacrament and he stayed do we need any more proof that's incredible you know i was talking with karen before i came up here and she said wasn't there a story father when you were first ordained and i said yeah i said you know it's so fitting to hear at the north american martyrs because i i have a love for native american just the people and the in the culture of course you know not the the paganism part if that's a focus but i'm bringing them to the lord and the stories are amazing well anyway i was ordained a priest back in 2014 and with the marians because usually it's very busy right up to your ordination day you're trying to finish classes and you got to take comps then you got your family coming in then you got to set up the ordination and so i mean god bless you i know some of you were at my ordination i had like 600 people and it was very hectic so usually after you're ordained the marians will allow you to go home for a week right after you're ordained so they asked me where i want to go after i was ordained and i said i want to go to the native american reservation in northern saskatchewan kind of looked at me like what i said no they've been asking me to go there and i i want to go there so the day after my ordination i got on a plane and i flew to saskatoon landed in saskatoon and then we took a bus eight hours north to the road ran out then the road ran out and a missionary couple picked me up and we drove another 200 kilometers on a dirt logging road to get up to where the cree indians were and they had not had a mass in four years this is how amazing these people are to hold on to the faith guess what day it was it was corpus christi so i get there and it's corpus christi the body of christ and the tradition on corpus christi is what we do a procession so here i am brand new ordained priest and i'm trying to even figure out how to do a procession and i'm going and they haven't had a mass in four years there and unfortunately most of the native first nations they call them men had abandoned their faith so the most of the people that came to the mass are women and children especially the elderly women and god bless them and we finish the mass and we go out for a procession and i'm procession processing with the monstrance and i'm walking through the reservation which is about 1200 first nations people and i said i want to walk up the roads and just bless the houses and so all these indian women children are behind me but you could just see some of them it was so clear from their face they just they didn't seem to have that belief anymore when does god work miracles usually not for you and me because we have a strong faith when does god usually work a miracle he really works it for priests who are at the altar and don't believe in the real presence i don't know how a priest could not believe in the real presence but but anyway these people you could see were just lacking faith so god decided to do something i i don't even know where i'm going on this procession but i'm holding the monstrance and we walk up the roads and there's two young native men sitting on a porch drinking middle of the day no jobs no work unemployment crime sexual abuse alcoholism man pray for these good people and all of a sudden the two men started screaming at me from the porch and i noticed they weren't screaming at me they were screaming at the blessed sacrament which was really odd they were yelling profanities about the blessed sacrament get that blank blank thing out of here can you imagine i mean my heart today is the feast of the immaculate heart talk about wounded heart can you imagine jesus sacred heart the wounds hearing that he loves these two men why would they have a hatred for this so they start screaming get out and i couldn't turn around i had 100 indian women and children behind me so i start just walking not paying attention to them and i'm walking forward with this monstrance in my hand and all of a sudden they come down from the porch now the ones walking at me the kind of the leader of the group and and i notice he's angry and he's walking right at me and he had this big buck knife on his thing and he starts grabbing and i'm thinking lord i've been a priest one day i've been a priest one day and i'm going to be a martyr i was scared to death i was like thank you for at least letting me celebrate one mass and so this guy comes down these two native american indians and they stop in front of me and they block me so i'm holding the monstrance and i'm just praying and all these women and children are behind me and they start profaning me and he said i told you get that blank blank thing out of here and i'm like this is our lord this is not a thing this is everything and he screams again profanity this the most vile it was you could almost tell it wasn't him it had to be a demon and the demon had not had the presence of the eucharist on that infested reservation full of alcoholism sexual abuse drugs crime and that's the last thing the demons want to see right because they know the real presence so this guy's screaming and i keep walking and he's blocking me and all the moment he lost it and he's screaming and he reaches up to grab the monstrous i knew clear what he wanted to do he was going to rip it out of my hands throw it to the ground and desecrate it i mean it was clear his motives and when he reached up to grab the monstrance all of a sudden i'm holding the shaft of it and he reaches up to grab it and all of a sudden his hand was thrown off of the monstrance and he fell to his knees screaming and cree and the ladies told me later he was screaming my hand my hand it burned his whole hand it burned it why because he was going to desecrate the real presence and god intervened he falls down screaming my hand my hand i didn't feel a thing and all of a sudden the other guy's like let me walk right through you should have seen those indian women and children they fell to their knees praising god praising god you don't you don't think that god allowed that to strengthen their faith they needed it if you don't have a eucharistic miracle maybe it's because your faith is strong enough to not need one but pray for those who need one you know i want to tell just one other story about a recent eucharistic miracle in buenos aires in 1996. i want to tell this this one is amazing you know at the time bishop bergoglio was the archbishop down there in argentina and there was a church there where the priest was told a consecrated host that was in the back on a candle holder was desecrated so he went back there and he was unable to consume the host so they put it in a glass of water which is the proper way to dispose of the host because it will dissolve and then you put the water in this aquarium or something or into the ground well anyway they put it in the tabernacle first so the host that was desecrated was placed in a glass of water and the glass of water was placed into the tabernacle eight days later they opened it up and they saw that the host had been transformed it was now a piece of bloody tissue and it was much larger than the original host and it was decided to keep this host in the tabernacle they didn't want to publicize it they just wanted to see what would happen so they left it in the tabernacle archbishop bergoglio agreed to take some pictures i wish i had a powerpoint because i have a whole slide presentation that goes with this well anyway that remained there in the church for three years and that whole three years the bloody tissue never decomposed which is miraculous in itself which is extraordinary whether it's just a piece of bread or it is tis human tissue either way the fact that it doesn't decompose is miraculous so what happened and it's impossible to explain that alright so what happened no special attempt was made to preserve this host it was not put in some airtight air sealed tight seal container um it just wasn't then a very good friend of our marian father's religious community some of you may have seen him at our shrine he's spoken at our shrine before dr ricardo castigan gomez you can see him online the most one of the most amazing men i've ever met he's a scientist has a lot of faith so he found out he took a sample of the bloody fragment so he got a sample of it and he sent it to new york to be tested with the permission of archbishop bergoglio since dr gomez this ricardo gomez our friend of our mirroring community did not want to have any prejudice from the scientific community who would be examining it he would examine the tissue there in new york he didn't tell them where it came from the results came back and a team of scientists was assembled because of what they found this included a famous cardiologist and forensic pathologist named dr frederick zugaby who's authored many books on forensic pathology the reason they assembled a team of five experts is because of what they found now remember dr cassidy didn't tell him where it came from he didn't tell him it was a host but what they found in the report of this dr frederick zugaby was this the material is a fragment of human heart muscle found in the wall of the left ventricle that's the muscle that is responsible for contraction of the heart that pumps blood to the rest of the body wow that left ventricle that pumps blood to all parts of the body they found that this human heart or that this heart muscle had an inflammatory condition it was inflamed and contained many white blood cells now that might not sound interesting but listen to this that indicates that the heart was alive at the time the sample was taken so these doctors came back and said you got to tell us where this came from because you cut it out of a living human being has there been a crime doctor casting young laughed he says i'm coming to new york they also found that the heart being alive and this dr frederick zuckerbee wrote quote it is my contention that the heart was alive because white blood cells die outside a living organism within just a few minutes this sample was years old plus it had been in their lab for way more than 60 minutes so there's no way that you could test this sample and find living white blood cells a human heart sample coming out of the body the white blood cells would die within 20 minutes the white blood cells had also penetrated into the tissue which indicates that the heart had been under severe stress as if the owner had been beaten severely about the chest outside the heart so this team was assembled like what in the world are we dealing with here are we dealing with a murder and so this feature eliminates the fact that it was penetrating into the tissue eliminates the possibility of fraud because anybody would tell you if we sent a sample of a bleeding host oh well you went and cut your finger and you you poured the blood onto the host because your blood the possibility would be proven that it cannot be thought that way because the blood wouldn't have living white blood cells and also it could not be thought that way because the officials of the church in argentina are respected they would never have seen the churches authorizing the torture and death of a male with a b blood type which is the type of every eucharistic miracle what is type a b it is universal receiver not universal donor everybody always says eucharistic miracles have the universal donor does not it's the universal receiver jesus receives all humanity into his heart now we have a heart cut out and sent to this lab and so this was very important so it's the same blood that's on the shroud of turin and all the other eucharistic miracles so basically this lab is like who opened the chest of a man still alive after torturing him and remove the tissue from his beating heart can you imagine what the heck would you be thinking so then how did this specific piece of tissue make its way into the tabernacle now people were asking questions and dr castro wouldn't reveal the answer he went up there and the solid medical evaluation shows that the sample had not decomposed and could not have been removed from a body cadaver a bed a dead body the components of the blood cells eliminated that this came from a dead body so castiglione goes up there and they have this meeting of scientists and dr castano goes up and he told us the story and i retreat i'm just blown away so he tells us that he goes up there and he has all these doctors and he puts up a slideshow like i wanted to do and he had a piece of bread a prayer and a priest so he puts this up on the board a picture of a priest a piece of bread and a prayer and he says you give me a piece of bread you give me a priest and you have the priest read this prayer and i will give you human heart tissue now the doctors the one doctor dr cassian young said said who's this imbecile get him out of here he says hold on before you evict me from the podium i'd like to say one more thing what i sent to three different labs and the representatives from the labs that he sent it to were there in the crowd the doctors that ran each of those labs were present and dr castiglione said you give me a piece of bread this prayer and a priest and i will give you human heart tissue he says you know how i know that because you dr jenkins you have a lab in brooklyn and i sent you a piece of bread it was said a prayer by a priest and you told me it was human heart tissue dr javorsky you have a lab in manhattan i sent you a piece of bread it was prayed over by a priest and you told me it was human heart tissue dr samuels you have a lab in new york city i sent you a piece of bread that was prayed over by a priest and you told me it was human heart tissue he said you could have heard a pin drop now you turn on nbc nightly news and you're going to hear the stupidest dumbest stories where was the news on this story i beg the question but somebody in antarctica who uses a racial slur will be headline news this is insanity you have a neglect for the church that's completely neglected this is a miracle so what happened the place was dead silent and he said you know there are some common scientific findings of every eucharistic miracle and i want to read these to you all the eucharistic miracles that have ever been approved by the church all have the same characteristics one the blood has hemoglobin and dna of a human being the substance originates from inside the body excluding that it could have been placed on the host like i said me cutting my finger on my blood thinners from blood clots i even get a little staple in my finger and i bleed for six hours so it takes away the chance that i could take blood and put it on a host because once that blood comes outside your body has different characteristics now the blood type as i said is a b which is a universal receiver similar to the host of lanciano the holy shroud and many others next studies reveal that the tissue found corresponds to the muscle of the heart called myocardium and the fact that the outer part of the blood coagulated right this is amazing the fact that the outer blood coagulated for years but the inner part of the blood was still fresh indicates that the tissue is alive that it contains and continues to effuse fresh blood it doesn't dry up it's fresh well at least the characteristics are what we look at like in a monsters or something could be dried up the characteristics are not furthermore the blood contains proteins indicating an elevated metabolism in the person from which the tissue came like that found during trauma our lord went through trauma the blood as i said had white blood cells so the tissue is still living or it was removed from a body that was alive and gotten to the lab to be tested within the hour you can't do that the blood also only had one x chromosome you all remember your biology classes i still don't understand the krebs cycle but in biology we learned that every human has two chromosomes an x chromosome that is supplied by the mother the father supplies the other chromosome so if a father if your mother gives you the x the father gives you a dex it's a girl if the father gives you a y it's a boy so a female is xx a male is xy and sorry you can't change those after your birth sorry you can't you can't that is how it is so in this blood type if jesus was only a human being you get an x and a y there's no y chromosome there's only an x chromosome which means no earthly father that's incredible that's incredible the eucharist is the source and summit of our faith and i know i'm running out of time oh my that only gives me 15 minutes to talk about somebody who loved the eucharist and was willing to give her life for it saint katie who we are here to recognize a great example of a saint she knew the power of the eucharist before we had any evidence before we had any online to research or or any technology to prove other eucharistic miracles she had none of that but she believed who was she khatiri tekowitha her feast day is wang can anybody tell what our feast day is july 14th good july 14th which i thought was funny because that's also bastille day in france and she there was a lot of french influence here with the jesuits right well anyway she was the first native american woman to be canonized 2011. so under buddha benedict now her dad was a mohawk right from around here and her mother was a catholic algonquin so her mom was catholic what does khatiri mean catherine do you know specifically which catherine for her catherine of siena she was named after catherine of siena so she was born right here in oreysville in 1656. now i'm really confused what town we're in because i look it up it gives about three different names on three different sites are we in orrysville or fountainville i still don't know but the point is she's from this area and smallpox gave her scars that almost blinded her so she would cover her head with a blanket to cover up the scars so she was very humbled she was raised by her aunt and by her uncle who opposed christianity and she learned the faith from three jesuit missionaries who came to this area now her uncle who despised christianity couldn't do anything about it because the indians had a treaty with what they call the black robes the french missionaries so her aunt kind of stepped in and became very concerned this is funny because by age 13 she had no interest in men 13 years old and her aunt is concerned because she has a lack of interest in men so her aunt was pressuring her into marriage at 13 and she refused she tried the ant to arrange a marriage but khatiri fled she ran out she fled from the cabin when the man came in that's always really good for a guy right when the woman runs out of the runs out of the house but there's nothing against him she professed the evangelical vow of chastity her whole life imagine 13-year-old girl understood the value of that that's got to be divinely inspired so this was stunning why would this be stunning because a native woman's life depended on being married isn't that something even the pagans had natural law in their heart and knew the importance of marriage between a man and a woman and yet we're trying to rewrite that definition we're trying to redefine it we've got to keep praying because if you think it's just men marrying men now and women marrying women now trust me it's going to come a time we're going to start marrying animals it's going to happen it's insanity so this was stunning because an indian woman's life was dedicated to her husband so by not getting married she was basically shunned by her community and her aunt was really mean to her people don't get this at least the natives had that beautiful natural law in their heart which we don't even have anymore we celebrate i mean i got really torn to pieces because i put a video out last thursday saying what we should really be dedicated on the month of june is to the sacred heart of jesus do you know that june is the month of what the sacred heart of jesus right pull 95 of our youth they'll tell you june stands for pride it's a pride month so i made a video out there that said we're not judging the people that's not our job we don't judge the person only god knows the heart love the sinner right but hate to sin but to outwardly glorify something that willfully now weakness is another matter but to willfully glorify completely turning from the will of god i don't think we should be glorifying we work with the people we love the people we help the people we embrace the people we're not better than the people but to glorify a willful act that knowingly goes against the will of god is not right and what did abraham lincoln say no person has the right to do wrong and the natural law will tell you it's wrong we don't marry animals children can't come from two men children can't come from two women so i was attacked for this video now i gotta go answer for i'm so used to getting called into the office i feel like a kid in high school [Laughter] [Applause] but praise be to god i still keep going and so for all of you who are joining our live streams thank you because i can tell you this right now when we first started the live streams it was pretty much made clear by our superiors that if this doesn't catch on we can't continue to put the money the time and the investment into it we had no idea the response that we were going to get from everybody we had no idea the beautiful work of evangelization god can bring a greater good out of even the worst evil right and in catholic charities we go to this thing called ncdc and national catholic charity group and for the last 15 years every catholic charity in this country membership has been going like this the demographics are dying the people who support the catholic faith traditionally have been past 70 years old and with that demographic of that precious generation passing away membership in almost every catholic association has been going like this we were no different when i became the director of the association i began to try to think of ways to turn it around so i would travel around the country giving talks and speeches trying to generate interest in joining the association of marian helpers it doesn't cost anything it takes less than 10 minutes you can do it on your cell phone you just type in mic for marion's of the immaculate conception mic prayers.com.org both work takes 10 seconds so i would go around the country trying to tell everybody you really want to be part of this even if you don't have a dollar to donate that doesn't matter you want the grace from the masses the prayers the rosaries the penances that we as marine fathers do and when you become a mirian helper you become you receive the grace just as if you were a marian priest of the immaculate conception it's like getting all the benefit without having to live a celibate life and give up everything of of of your previous life it's an incredible grace but no matter how i promoted it our membership went down like this then the pandemic hit and we thought that was the end that was going to be the end of divine mercy but god you know a greater plan somehow your hands in this so we trust we trust and before the pandemic hit just by coincidence brother mark just happened to feel an inspiration to replace all the lights in the shrine the entire sound system and by cameras because we were talking about shooting a few videos from time to time praise god that he did that because just a few weeks after the pandemic you couldn't buy these things the mixers were one year waiting lists we never would have been able to live stream we started live streaming and we've added over 100 000 new people wow that is incredible and if you are a marian helper i want to personally thank you outside i don't care if you never give a dime what i care about is your soul my job as a priest is to lead you to jesus and there is no better way than the graces of masses prayers rosaries penances chaplets of divine mercy four minutes that is the beauty of it so let me finish with saint faustina or a saint terry now she was baptized at 19 which meant she would now be a slave in the tribe imagine being baptized basically wrote you off you were now a slave and she would not work on sunday so she was not allowed to eat now she was working with the french jesuits and her village right around here was attacked by mohicans you hear the movie last of the mohicans you know what the real name of the mohicans was stockbridge indians from stockbridge the home of the national shrine of the divine mercy that was the mohican indians so they came up here they attacked these stockbridge indians and she tended to the wounded because they took prisoners and so while the prisoners were being mistreated by her tribe she's taking care of them she helped them and she helped these captured mohicans or stockbridge indians to be baptized before they would be killed by the mohawks so here the mohawks are ready to kill these prisoners and she was making sure they got baptized so then in 1671 this influence started to spread and guess what the chief of the mohawks became a christian when you get the leader i'm telling you we have a great priest named father richard who comes from nigeria i'm just real quick tangent here and i'm sorry karen i'm going to try to wrap this up okay he told me that he was at a parish in nigeria and about a dozen terrorists entered the church in the middle of service with explosives strapped to their bodies there's no police to protect them there's nowhere to run there's nowhere to hide god bless these people god bless them for having the faith to be there knowing the muslim threat here comes 12 muslims strapped with explosives they're going to blow up the church and this happens regularly but you don't hear about it on the news father richard tells us stories like you can't imagine how because he's there she'll never hear our media say this so they came in with explosives to expl uh bomb the church and all of a sudden the leader just like this mohawk chief the leader fell to his knees looked up and went into a trance so all these other guys are with them they're just followers and he goes into this trance and he gets up and he turns around he says jesus christ is lord jesus appeared to him and in just a matter of a few minutes completely changed his heart that guy explained to them what he saw what jesus said and all of them instantly converted on the spot praise be to god why don't we hear about that story on the news so this mohawk chief was the same way he converted and they he became a christian so they finally allowed katie then to start practicing her faith and you gave up trying to force her and at 18 she began to really study the catholic faith she left to go on a jesuit mission near montreal which is where she ended up dying later with other converts who were mostly women so she put these thorns in her sleeping mat for the gift for the forgiveness of her tribe wow she's already doing pennants she didn't know anything about it but she put thorns in her sleeping mat for the forgiveness of her tribe and she whipped herself she and a few other women wanted to be nuns so the church considers that in 1679 with her decision on the feast of the annunciation that her conversion was truly completed and she became known as the first virgin of the mohawks that's beautiful isn't it so she died this is always amazing i hear this stuff all the time like john paul she died john paul died on divine mercy sunday technically because it was the vigil the night before but you'll hear these saints all the time dying either during holy week or the easter octave she died during holy week in 1680 at exactly 3 pm exactly which is 301 so we're getting there okay her final words were jesus i love you and 15 minutes after her death her face remember i told you it was all scarred from smallpox completely cleared completely cleared the scars disappeared later she appeared to two indian women and a priest after her death man i wish she would come to me i would love to talk to katie i've been asking for faustina but no sign yet she came to the house and she said i have come to say goodbye i am on my way to heaven i'd be like can i come so she's the patron saint of the environment one thing i've always admired about the native american culture the miracle that was approved for her was she healed a man of guess what smallpox almost an unknown disease today with a piece of wood from her coffin they got a piece of wood from her coffin and touched it healed the man of smallpox her sainthood is symbolized by events that show a rejection of death why is that important because death is the last enemy to be defeated by christ why did jesus die on the cross the penalty for sin is death when you sin or i sin we deserve to die so when jesus died on the cross he died because the penalty for sin was death but then what did he do he turned right around and conquered he succumbed to death to pay our penalty then he conquered it and so she follows in that her sainthood is also represented by a duality of pain and the neutralization of others pain she would take it away she would intercede are you struggling with severe pain are you struggling in any way now you're at her home you're in her place you got any really strong pains or aches now is the time to ask you're in here in the saint that can do this you're in her you're on her turf and so a second miracle she stopped the flesh eating virus of a boy in washington in 2006 so she has this tendency a nun named kanteri the boy said came to my bedside he didn't know who khatiri was he didn't know who she was he knew nothing about her and they asked him what happened he said a nun named khatiri came and prayed at my bedside this is a little boy in washington in 2006. to me that's the kind of saint we want with us and why because saint faustina was the same way it all began with the eucharist the source and summit of our faith and when we believe in that we trust remember jesus said trust is the vessel by which all grace is received you want to get to heaven you need grace you want grace you got to trust and what is trust trust is a living faith father seraphim used to say and you can see it on the image there it says jesus i trust in you father seraphim says the actual translation should be jesus i faith in you that's what trust means a living faith so you come now before our lord you pray before the blessed sacrament you're living your faith you ask saint kateri to come and intercede for you you're living your faith you join the association of marian helpers you're living your faith god bless all of you and thank you very very much thank you okay yes before we begin the chaplet um you can find us online thank you karen um please we'd be remiss if we didn't mention what is today today is the feast of the immaculate heart of mary now traditionally we do the devotions for first friday and first saturday it's not technically a first saturday but in a way it's even better because this is the annual feast the annual huge of the solemnity last night of the sacred heart of jesus and today the immaculate heart of mary and so intercede for us mother mary saint katie saint faustina intercede for us and give this opportunity to ask mary to accept your reparation to her immaculate heart for the sins and ingratitude of mankind especially the five blasphemies i go off the memory in my head what are the five blasphemies one blasphemy against her immaculate conception two blasphemy against her divine maternity three blossom me against her perpetual virginity four blasphemies and turning children against mary and five blasphemies of desecrating and reviling statues of mary like this one here so let us through this chaplet am i praying the chaplet now karen so we're going gonna lead you in the chaplet this chaplet of divine mercy and then afterwards we're gonna take a break and i would love to meet you out at the table come we gotta sign books um am i allowed to stay here to sign books okay so after the chaplet we'll do a break i'll stay out there to every single book aside so postulate jeff drove me as long as there's a place to eat somewhere or a scrap sandwich i'll keep going who has a sandwich i'll keep going so we invite you to stay after the chaplet come out to the table i'll sign your book we got dvd out there of my talks we got two of my books out there we can give them to you you can take them if you don't have any money just take them i'll still sign them whatever it takes to get you to come back to jesus and it all starts right here so let us begin praying the chaplet in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit amen you expired jesus but the source of life gushed forth for souls and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world oh fount of life unfathomable divine mercy envelope the whole world and empty yourself out upon us oh blood holy mighty one holy immortal have mercy on us and on the whole world eternal god in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible look kindly upon us and increase your mercy in us that in difficult moments we may not despair nor become despondent but with great confidence submit ourselves to your holy will which is love and mercy itself amen jesus i trust in you jesus i trust in you jesus i trust in you in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit amen and actually we're not doing too bad on time we're going to finish with some prayers before we take our break and um these are prayers that are important uh to be able to read for freedom from the devil so let us begin in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit amen my lord and savior jesus christ at a word from you the devil and his minions flee in terror you are the source of all truth you are the source of all strength by the power of your cross and resurrection we beseech you o lord to extend your saving arm and to send your holy angels to defend us as we do battle with satan and his demonic forces exercise we pray that which oppresses your bride the church so that within ourselves our families our parishes our diocese and our nation we may turn fully back to you in all fidelity and trust lord we know if you will it it will be done give us the perseverance for this mission we pray through jesus christ our lord amen most sacred heart of jesus have mercy mercy on us immaculate heart of mary our lady of the immaculate conception saint joseph saint michael our lady of the martyrs saint faustina saint kateri now let us do a freedom prayer from indifference remember our lord jesus said i'd rather you hot or cold just don't be lukewarm let us pray the prayer of reparation and freedom from indifference my lord and my god we have allowed the temptation of the devil to move our hearts toward indifference to your divine love we have fallen into countless times of sinful diversions from our purpose in life which is to know love and serve you in this world we are also immersed in things of this world we have devoted ourselves so greatly to the treasures on earth that we have become indifferent to the treasures we must store up in heaven we spend so much time effort and money on things that moth and decay will destroy only to discover that we still are not satisfied and we still are not happy we turn to you lord in our weakness and beg your forgiveness for our indifference to the treasures of heaven the greatest treasure being your love we love you lord and we beg you for wisdom and strength to love you more we know lord jesus if you will it it will be done trusting in you we offer our prayer to you who live and reign forever and ever amen amen let us now pray for a freedom from narcissism which is at the root of pride remember the virtue of humility which is an answer to pride is not thinking less of yourself humility is thinking of yourself less my lord and my god we have allowed the temptation of the devil to move our hearts to not see fulfillment in your goodness we have stilled our tongues in the face of evil we have been too self-involved to notice the damage our sins have wreaked on our neighbor and broken faith with you we have expected you to be pleased with our duplicitous and selfish hearts we have at times been a source of scandal for those searching through our sinfulness and rebellion to you in our fear we have allowed the ancient foe to advance we turn to you lord in our sorrow and guilt and beg your forgiveness in our narcissism and lack of sorrow we beg for the grace of your goodness to build up within us what you should build up in your apostles in that tempest tossed boat we know lord jesus if you will it it will be done trusting in you we offer our prayer to you who live and reign forever and ever amen freedom from idolatry my lord and my god we have allowed the temptation of the devil to move our hearts to not see fulfillment in your goodness we have stilled our tongues in the face of evil we have been too self-involved to notice the damage our sins have wreaked on our neighbor and broken with faith with you we have expectedly you to be pleased and i'm sorry this is the same prayer so let us turn to the next page freedom from consumerism my lord and my god we have allowed the temptation of the devil to more move our hearts toward consumerism we have fallen into countless times of sinfully buying stuff we do not need with money we do not have we do this all to fill the emptiness within us the salve of the wounds within us we turn so readily to consuming things of the world instead of detaching ourselves from things of this world and attaching ourselves to you we spend so much time and effort and money consuming and yet we are still not happy we turn to you lord in our weakness and beg your forgiveness for the consumption of temporal goods that stand in our way of devotion to you we love you lord and we beg you for wisdom and strength to love you more we know lord jesus that you will it will be done trusting in you we offer our prayer to you who live and reign forever and ever amen freedom from wrath my lord and my god we have allowed the temptation of the devil to move our hearts to wrath and vengeance against those who have harmed us we have engaged in active revenge or in passive aggressiveness of gossip we have been too self-involved to notice the damage our sins have wrecked on our neighbor and broken faith with you you have expected we have expected you to turn a blind eye to our wrath and forgive us without condition we have at times been a source of scandal for those searching through our sinfulness and rebellion to you in our fear we have allowed the ancient foe to advance we turn to you in our sorrow and guilt and beg your forgiveness and for the wrath and lack of mercy and forgiveness we beg for the grace of your goodness to build up within us what you sought to build up within your apostles in that tempest toss boat we know lord jesus if you will it it will be done trusting in you we offer our prayer to you and live and reign forever and ever amen a prayer of exorcism lord god of heaven and earth in your power and goodness you created all things you set a path for us to walk on and away to an external relationship by the strength of your arm and the word of your mouth cast from your holy church every fearful deceit of the devil drive from us manifestations of the demonic that oppresses us and beckon us to indifference narcissism entitlement idolatry consumerism and wrath still the lying tongue of the devil and his foes so that we may act freely and faithfully to your will send your holy angels to cast out all influence that the demonic entities in charge of indifference narcissism idolatry consumerism and wrath have planted in your church free us all lord who are here present in this shrine our families our parishes our diocese and our country from all trickery and deceit perpetuated by the devil perpetrated by the devil and his hellish legions trusting in your goodness lord we know if you will it it will be done in unity with your son jesus and the holy spirit forever one god forever and ever amen in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit amen god
