Forza Horizon 5 - The Road is Lava Competition!

welcome back to another episode of us doing the wait for it wait for it road is lava challenge but this time here's the twist all right we're gonna make it a competition in the teams we're gonna split up in the two teams of three and it's gonna be a competition of which team can get quickest to the other side of the map without touching a single speckle millimeter centimeter anything of rubber on the uh asphalt tarmac right down here how we choose the team i don't know we should like feed put them in a wheel and spin it what's the age gap the three youngest versus the three oldest oh the youngest okay okay i'm in february 2001 currently 21 years old january january 2000 just just say how old you are 19 18 21 20. these 20. all right well i guess it's going to be simple it's going to be the three roommates because we're the oldest me lance and dustin we're all at least 21 years of age versus the rest of you guys so that's going to be justin jebus and feed go create your apocalyptic vehicles keep in mind the circumstances that we are in an apocalyptic setting of the road being lava and i know exactly what i'm gonna use i'm gonna use the brand new pundi that we got in the game i think that's the perfect truck that i'm gonna try and beef out as much as possible the thing is that this truck is a little large and it may be slow and i do got to keep in mind that the key to this game is actually jumping so you want something with really good suspension travel but that's nothing that you know good old modifications can't do because i just want to drive this thing this is pretty dang new and i think it's so cool i never would have thought we'd have a tundra in a horizon series i don't know it it like doesn't fit the game but yet it does in so many ways i'll start out with engine swapping give me the biggest engine you okay we got a v8 diesel and then a racing v8 and then you got a v10 which would be like sick and all but i just i think a truck like this needs some masculinity of that deep v8 rumble so i'll put a racing v8 in it and uh we'll twin turbo it because why not oh we got all the apocalyptic modifications we got bash bars oh my gosh we could turn this thing into a real like baja tunde i already got my car bro you can face swap the 400 dude i guess it's i guess it's toyota on toyota action i'll put anti-roll bars we yeah we literally just gotta make sure this thing can jump ooh we'll put some weld racing wheels on this that toughens it up i wish you could space them out like it seems weird to ask for spacing on an off-road truck like this but you know you know it's a thing i mean trucks if anything have the most spacing out of any vehicle out there it just looks so weak without having any poke of off-road tire all right i'll be outside we gotta add in the sponsors you know what i'm saying i wanna make this like a volcano orange tunde for our volcanic lava that we'll be trekking against i feel like that'll be very fitting damn this thing gonna look like a who's nasty fox mobile what it's gonna be invisible okay justin had to hit it with the no car joke that was uncalled for to be honest i was just saying it's orange that's all i wasn't saying and then he had to pull that it doesn't exist or anything which you know say hello to my racing v8 pundy we're going water trekking too we got a snorkel and everything nasty what is that dude this looks like something that you build in lego technic i know well to be fair the floor if the streets just realize it looks like mario kart it's straight up a freaking oh yeah i know i just realized it's literally a mario kart that's realistic oh my god yo wait i gotta find that i gotta fight what is it like on a freaking t-pad a or x just make sure you press whatever button it is to jump all the time in that and then you'll be chilling because we'll be doing we'll be doing lots of lots of jumping around i want to see what else uh we got here justin's got the brand new 4runner we got the other brand new toyota in the game this is just as cool however i missed out on collecting this when it was released so i'll be rocking the tundra for that and then i did not know that you could take what is this yeah it's a 3rs 991.2 and you could literally at least the fourth edition i didn't know yeah you could have a rally fight version of that in this game it's got little froggy center rally lights it's got a bash bar in the front lifted suspension b lock wheels and mud flaps can't forget that and you also can't forget it's pickle rig that's probably i would say that's my favorite pick so far that would actually be super sick to freaking take on like an apocalyptic challenge like this okay we got the golf rally fighter busted out over here i haven't i forgot about that's like fm dude that's not like i wanted to pull it out that thing like no it's an fh too like i think that was first added in that h2 i feel like this car like when it came out it was so sick and it just kind of fell off for a while and but you know it's perfect for this challenge literally a rally i just remember that one freaking video of like tanner faust racing the yeah top gear usa they had a huge race with it i'll probably be carrying mostly uh your apocalyptic luggage nasty seeing how you have literally no space if we're trying to do a cross-continental journey all right so we all got lava proof tires and everything right i mean i guess we won't be we're not allowed to go on a team right where's the end point so the end point that's a good question is going to be the other house we're literally doing what we did before but we're doing it in reverse so uh we have done the road is lava challenge in horizon 5. you guys can go check out that video we previously did it but we did not have the competition challenge that we are doing in today's video and uh we went the other way so today we're pretty much inversing that and we're gonna go instead of west to east we're going east to west i have a strategy we're gonna have some geography experts all right i'm i don't know what that means but honestly i'll take any strategies or you know hidden ways because you're on my toes do all three of us have to be there in order for us to yeah yes no stragglers we all three got to be there here's the ultimate catch all right if one person touches the lava everyone gets sent back instead of having that one person out it's just gonna reset everyone back to this house you gotta be changed you gotta be genuine with it though because i swear no one's gonna everyone's gonna be like oh we we just touched it for like a couple seconds it's okay nah any touch will reset so uh how did it cross the street right here that's what i was gonna say well i know how big first obstacle you clearly don't remember the last video it's getting water you reach the phone off i'm just in bro i'm so impatient because i don't want him to disconnect your call has been forwarded to an automated voice messaging system oh is that him dude i was like 11. know how to do this this is how we get around the first road i'm so slow yeah this thing is actually singing oh what the hell all right well it's a good thing of a friend because yeah this thing is not the quickest it's i just hope i could jump stuff because that'd be a problem hey the last video feed used a unibog if he could get away with a unibog on this challenge then i'm sure tundy can do it where is jeebus going y'all like going out of the map up there that's like no man's land who's trying not to hit a tree it's not my business all right we got st we got to stay as a team though out i got to let's keep track to where nasty is do we have a team name we're all heading the same well team ultra mode or i don't know we're like literally it's a park room team team oldies versus team newbies yeah oh what in the hell you're the oldest you stop crashing in the trees navigator holy [ __ ] you whoa what does that mean that means we gotta go back to the house now now we don't have anyone to [ __ ] fall oh well they could freaking lie about it how do they know if one of them taunts a road well we gotta trust their word bro what i saw with my own eyes dog there's no there's no really far i'll take that okay hopefully that's the last time now they have a huge head start because little mario man well mario mans couldn't keep his little freaking cup tires from freaking staying away from the lava i will be actually surprised if they are genuine enough to admit their defeat if they touched yes i should i should make all of them record their footage all right we got the road over here we got trust issues with us i do team newbies ow have you guys crossed a single road yet arcade just never did you touch the road no we fell off the piece we felt the tracks have you guys may not be the best for this challenge but at the end of the day i'm in a tundra under the bridge in the water under the scenery dude i think we'll catch maybe our path wasn't that great it was trust oh okay there goes lance of course there's rocks hidden behind the tree i don't think this is how we uh crossed on the other side i mean i guess it's going to be different there's going to be different mounds on either side oh wait does it reset you yeah it does are you guys like that far on the edge of the map doesn't mean you touch the road no he's on he's on the derp no you're on that like edge of the map aren't you where it's like you're talking about the game resetting you yeah so what are we gonna do here how are we gonna gotta figure something out that's you guys nasty what are we doing keep going forward i'm winging it right now bro we're literally just like just navigating the top of the map oh i see where they are it's a long way but it's still a strategy i'm like chasing the train this is cool yo what if we just followed the train tracks because like that's not ass it's not the road oh it's not no that's a good point it's not lava i mean this is not it's not the same so we teleport back to the start yeah all right so i have plenty of time to like figure out what the hell to do because i'm stuck here i think go ahead go ahead try try and push this tundra jumped i jumped oh oh no oh no you almost went on the road either way your team's got to go back i i think i have a plan okay all right they gotta like speed running now now we're in the clear this is like football it's just like it's something about like getting ready let's go on the bottom of the map yeah oh youtube it's shorter and there's way less [ __ ] to deal with that's our only hope let's go let's go oh you're an idiot always you're doing it okay it's literally the strap there's no way we don't yeah we're literally yeah no we can actually you can actually i guess get around through by just literally going on the edge of the entire map it sucks though i was hoping to maybe jump some more roads next time i mean we could try and jump this one we got some time i'm gonna be down to jump jump a couple roads well i gotta jump on right now because i'm literally okay we all come over here how are you i'm jumping this one i i jumped in between a bunch of roads on accident and like i'm near the baja track but there's a jump so i'm good all right i'm i'm gonna stay away from the edge to try and take a different approach oh my god why is there a festival here nasty you are so far i i barely see your name down there this may not be the best place to choose to go in between the roads though because it's kind of all desert or i'll gonna come back for sure you guys actually might be able to because i just niched myself inside roads so team newbies they have a different approach to try and come back they're going they're going south around the south end i guess you could try that attempt that'd be interesting if we actually like that could be a future video just one team goes fully south around the map the other team goes north around the map i was trying to challenge myself and now i'm literally stuck because it's just desert and there's there's easy jumps in but there's no jump out yes um do you use hit the road i hit him falling and stopped me and i hit the road you hit the road you [ __ ] i tried hitting a jump and i got oh yeah we got this we got this are you serious i'm sorry now they're already trekking through the bottom oh boy all right we got to go through the map boys all right justin slow it down bro we got time dude this is just a back and forth cycle all right let's go down this way let's let's go down let's go down we're gonna be way behind if we go that way well then should we go north again i don't know i don't know if i want to do the same thing all over again i'm going this way no never mind go the other way i don't know i'm just gonna wing it we're going this way all right team oldies back for one last stretch oh my we are chilling look for any look for any jump point i'm just trying to go in as quick as possible let's see oh wait so maybe we don't want to go over the or go on the right oh oh oh right here right here right here yeah don't cross over don't cross over let's go boys we got the dude let's follow the river yo what if this river takes us all the way through i found a different job i'm good i'm coming hang on we might be on to something boys water is always the key passageway we're going to follow this water because there will be you can't you can't block the water the water has the right of passage so all the bridges and everything are going to go above and under or over it so this actually might get us through a lot quicker dude this is the move this is the final this is the final key right when they think that they've had it crossing on the underside of the map the the um it's going up here i don't know if i i'm just gonna follow it i don't know okay well now it's going north this is sick yeah it just goes north all right i guess you guys are the [ __ ] you guys are right we got did you hit the road it teleported me onto a [ __ ] road are you kidding me [Laughter] i hate this game i'll catch you guys later what is wrong with this man you just own it we disowned him can it just be me and feed on a team it's a team effort you can't abandon jeeves just because you forget we voted you can honestly you can continue onward but you won't win because you gotta have all three make it so you can continue this is the best way down this way i couldn't find anything you could continue onward but jeebus has to still eventually make it if we make it before jesus does then you guys lose weight i have to go back to the beginning yeah there's a sort of a hill there's a huge hill i'm sending it i made it i just used all velocity i still don't understand how that set me where are you at still on the side um do you see me oh my god oh i just said i'm like close oh crap this is like farmland oh boy okay this is looking a little more promising there's more hills over here and more trees oh we definitely am able to cross there's a hill on the right are we just gonna keep on going this way to the bridge um the water i think will take us there we could just keep following the wob i'm barrel rolling in the water we could just uh keep following the water over here to the bridge hey a reference point i know where i am i'm just winging it i'm just heading in the direction right now until i find a road i have to jump i i am at house but no jeebus though all right let me no teammates let me let me check this okay wait i see jesus i see jesus behind there and then there's justin where's feed i didn't sit on the map he's just in front of the airport oh there he is come on let's go the river is literally carrying i'm flying through here dude i'm this snorkel is really coming in use i didn't think that it would be such a key part of this tundra dude i'm like literally a freaking machete i'm just like chopping down all these trees we lost this [ __ ] challenge because the dude couldn't follow i was calling you guys bro you went so far north bro oh is that how you got teleported you literally went off the [ __ ] map yes that's how he got teleported back he went off the map team newbies is falling apart hot boys oh wait where did feed come from where the hell all right well we found one of opposing team members on the other side dude okay i'm hitting them i'm hitting the mountain yeah i'll hit this too oh yeah that was close holy cow yes we're hitting this vertical oh my gosh oh please don't flip over and reset me on the road jack we gotta jump back over the road is there no jump point here no just hit the mountain that we just didn't be there oh does it clear it's possible i don't know if you can do it though your truck's big oh no i don't trust this is scary there's a if you hit the hump right here like right where i am if you aim for me go to the top maybe i don't know if i hope that's steep enough dude this is so scary right here i need to hit it like literally i can see that's the only thing i can see i literally need to hit this at the perfect angle this is scary uh oh feeds they're watching i think if you hit if you hit the road you're going back by yourself and then it's a race between you and g this girl come on i'm taking that i'm taking that i'm taking feet down with me wait are you both going back now huh no i didn't hit the road no we made it we made it we're good we're clear you touch road i i did not i don't know you have to play that back in point five speed i don't know i think you know you know the good old law that like if you touch some heat like real fast see an angle i got that clipped on metal i didn't see the angle because you tried blocking them anyways i like definitely my front cleared it i think it was like the rear i don't know oh i gotta jump into the house properly team oldies coming in hot repping the road is lava tunde oh there goes the mario kart and we made it to the other house didn't even clear the roof oh well i'm here now so the other team beat us but they're missing someone where is that someone uh i don't even know him holy cow he is uh he is still because of the goddamn game he's still he's still back there i will say dude honestly if you just follow the waterway dude you could follow so much of this waterway and it'll carry you through the entire bottom and then once you're throughout the bottom then you just got nothing but sand stay tuned we could have another race are we gonna do literally north versus uh we could have the north route on the outside of the map versus the bottom route on the outside of the map and that would be a separate fundraise to do just see who can trek around the map with either route quicker but anyways this was jesus this was the road is lava
