Former BBC Top Gear STIG Ben Collins TEST DRIVES NEW PRAGA R1

so we're at autumn park racetrack today um it's much drier than the last time we were out with the r1s which was snetterton round two of brick car and it was absolutely pouring down it's still pretty damp here there's rain coming and going uh but it's not really phasing jay morton jay's out here um testing the card he's not had a huge amount of time testing the car he's really the most novice of all of our guest drivers so jay's got another session in the car but he's also partnered which is really exciting with with ben collins the ex-top gear stick and um ben's a sort of friend of the extended family of prager and um fancifully going the car he's coming back from america so ben's having a go in the car and loving it and we've got a second car out today which is um um ashley dibdon is having a go ashley's a racing driver um so i've heard about what we were doing so yeah so it's it's it's going okay there's a few red flags but the guys are loving it and um just hoping for dry weather this afternoon just here at old park for my first test day with the prager the one that's amazing um a lot of carbon on it copper monocoque uh what's it got i think it's a two liter turbocharged engine so it's based on the formula renaults with the same sort of drivetrain so that's about all i know um other than i fit into it did a seat fitting yesterday and um this is it alt park my favorite track one of my favorite tracks typically raining that's why it's so green here but i was amazing place but it's raining all or dry this place is always um always a special track and i think for a car like this it's going to really really work well here because it's got the downforce and good power it's a bit like a 403 car from what i can understand the stats but more power so it should be a lot of [Laughter] fun [Music] it's been um i don't think the conditions have been in our favor but i mean you can't put the weather right so um i actually prefer the weather a minute because all my races have been in the world so now i was smashing it down the rain and it was good conditions to get out and yeah you've done a great job with i think the sim you did last night there were simulation training you learned the track a bit left and right from there but then alton in the reigns alton is tough and challenging anyway but in the wet it really comes up with all the curves there to bite you get wheel spinning places you you'd never get accurate playing the straights you had all of that and uh you know you had to hold your finger on the windscreen button this whole time yeah i've got cramping yeah look at him rolling his shoulder out i have to stretch the film out there but uh that sim was golden yeah yeah um i don't think mike could have dragged me off he had to close the the system down um but just having that same and then as soon as i got in the car coming here your brain almost like transfers the data to this data and yeah you instantly click after a couple of laps cool well we made it the cars in one bit and um best of luck at some adult park if you let me out in this car again i'll be over the moon i really love it it's addictive i just didn't want to get out just fill it with fuel send me out for the day so um hopefully i'll be back
