FOREST FRIENDS THEMED BABY SHOWER 2020 | ULTIMATE PARTY PREP | PARTY DURING A PANDEMIC

everybody welcome back to our channel welcome to our channel if you're new here i'm janae welcome to my corner of this channel where we do all things women today i will be today she will be happy today i i have a party video basically this is gonna be a party prep video so yeah everybody's always asking me how me and my family does these huge big grand decorative parties so i'm finally putting together a party prep video so you guys can see everything literally from start to finish so hopefully this video serves as some sort of an inspiration for you to do your own parties i'm just going to take you guys through every element of this so enjoy i think this is going to be a voiceover so you guys will probably just hear me talking like during the party prep stuff but i just wanted to introduce this anyways you listen to that whole spiel make sure you like comment and subscribe so you can see more videos so without further ado let's get into the video hey everybody it's voiceover me sorry for that choppy intro i recorded it twice in case you didn't notice but anyhow we are preparing for laura's baby shower it is a forest friends theme so lots of cute little boxes and bears rabbits those little cute designs we're also incorporating a lot of neutral colors in greenery so we're starting off by preparing the dessert table so as you can see my sister larissa is folding these cute little boxes that we plan on putting the desserts into these boxes came from amazon i'll link everything that i talk about in the description box below so make it super easy for you to find girl don't worry so the boxes came with these little cute twine strings and we just tied cute little bows around the boxes so we can look like these things came straight from the bakery it's especially hard during this pandemic to have a party so we tried to make sure everyone felt safe in grabbing something so we pre-packaged every dessert and everything we made next up we are using these little baggies to put little cookies in these are snickerdoodle cookies and they came from the amish market if you have an amish market near you you can definitely get it from there we have one a couple of minutes from our house so and then we're using some gold wired ties to tie up the cookies next up we have this rainbow cakes which we got from costco these are so so good everybody at the party definitely love these these were a hit they are classic italian rainbow cakes and they come in little packets like this so they come in cuts of three so i'm taking those same little clear baggies putting just two of them inside of the bag and then we're taking that same twine that we used to tie around the boxers cutting those up and tying them around the little baggies so in total we made about 15 or 20 of these little baggies here filled with the classic italian rainbow cakes [Music] my niece was sitting directly next to me just watching what i was doing so she's just popping in to say hello and seeing bubbles so next up we have these coconut clusters the white and yellow ones came from a local dominican so if you're interested in those email me and i'll let you know where to get them the caramel and chocolate lines came from the amish market so we're taking those same little baggies and putting one of each color inside of them and again tying them with the string excuse the tiny toes on the table my niece always wants to be a part of the action i promise you they are the cleanest toes on the planet so at first we filled up all of the bags with a caramel chocolate and a white coconut cluster but once those ran out um we filled them with some yellow so next up we are cutting up some cinnamon toasted pretzels we are putting about three pieces into each of those boxes these are the same boxes that we were using earlier to put the donuts in so we wrapped these off camera but this is some chocolate chip cookies with some chocolate covered marshmallows there is the sticker doodles the italian rainbow cakes and the donuts it was getting super late while wrapping all this and my nephew was like i'm out of here so you'll see him like escaping in the next clip [Music] so this is the next morning the day of the baby shower and we are preparing some of the chalkboard menus that we plan on putting on the dessert table as well as the food table so people know exactly what they're grabbing we also put together these little notes chalkboard things that allow people to see what each food was so i slowed this clip down a lot for you guys to see but basically this is the baby shower map so because we had this baby shower during the pandemic we decided to have a walk through baby shower so i went ahead on canva.com and created this baby shower map which basically laid out where everything was during the shower and kind of explained the whole walk through process so i'm also going to walk you guys through it so basically each car would pull up to our driveway they were able to hop out and then walk straight up our driveway to our garage where we had the backdrop and photo session then they were able to enter on through the walkway in front of our house and wave hi to mom and dad at the porch continue on down the walkway and get some food that we pre-packaged as well as some desserts and then exit out through the end of the walkway and back up to their cars so printing out this map and showing it to each car that pulled up it was really convenient because they were able to see the process before they actually engaged in it i really like the fact that we did a walk through baby shower it was a spin on the typical drive up baby shower at least the guys got a chance to get out of their cars and interact with the shower for a little bit and exit safely back out to their cars so next up we headed to the front of the house to design the chair that larissa would be sitting on on the porch so as you can see we draped the chair with some gold draping that you can get from any kind of fabric store we also line the chair with some vines and white flowers outside is where we will be displaying her cake on this cute table that we wrapped in some brown cloth we have a chop of wood that we got from someone that chops wood near us to display her cake on and we put cute little animals around it a lot more designs will go into that later that i will show so this is a walk through baby shower so along the pathway that people will be walking we added some chops of wood and some candles that light up this is the baby's father he's clearly super excited for the day so next up is the balloon arch so i will be using this balloon blowing machine that we got from amazon that came with a bunch of balloons to make the arch with the machine is super easy to use all you have to do is turn on the button and it blows up your balloons just like that one down literally like a thousand left to go so in the balloon package you'll get some balloon glue as well as some balloon string to put the arch together with the balloon system came with this really really cute clear gold balloon as well as the big white balloons some small white balloons and a gold balloon so as you can see this blue little contraption attached to my finger i'm using it to tie the balloons with so at first it was pretty complicated but once you get the hang of it it makes the process so much easier so i'm just tying it around the blue thing pulling it underneath and pulling that thing out i hope that was pretty simple or easy to see if not feel free to rewind and watch again but it's really simple once you get the hang of it so my nephew woke up and obviously he is besides himself with all of these balloons so this balloon arch package is super easy to customize all you have to do is look up your colors on amazon or click the link down below in my description and just say you want blues or greens or whatever kind of colors you want and you can find an arch that matches that and they'll send you all the different types of balloon sizes that you need and all the different types of colors so i would say in total blowing up all these balloons took us about an hour or so and after you're done blowing up all the balloons all you have to do is put them together in the arch which i will show in the clip following this one do so right here to the right you see the baby's father coming in and starting off the fire pit towards the end of the party we just had the fire pit lit outside out on the deck and it was just a lot of fun and it gave really nice nighttime vibes um that fire pit came from costco so if you're interested again links will be in the description so this is all the balloons there's literally so many okay so right now i'm starting to put together the arch so the arch is connected to this long ribbon thing i was showing earlier that was kind of rolled up so as you saw there were two holes there was a smaller hole and a larger hole so i'm just taking the smaller balloon and i'm pushing it through to the smaller hole and then i will take a larger balloon and place it in a bigger hole so that there are two balloons in those two slots so putting the balloons together this way is definitely very difficult to do especially because after you start building more and more balloons on top of that ribbon they get tighter and closer together so it becomes harder to fit balloons in also my nephew kept running away with the ribbon and the balloons that i worked so hard on putting inside those slots so the process ended up being a lot longer than i intended it to be but after a while so for the first half of the balloon arch i squeezed two balloons in each slot but then that became too difficult so i started putting one balloon in each of the slots which i would show you right here and the process went by literally ten times as fast um the design wasn't as pretty as like having two balloons squished into it but it still turned out pretty nice so right here you'll see us trying to actually put up that arch so we have this little landing on our house that serves perfectly for that arch so we're just trying to figure out how we're going to hang it up so as you can see we lost a couple balloons in the process it definitely requires more than one person to put this arch up if you're doing an arch in your house then you probably can do it by yourself or maybe with one other person but because we were putting it all the way on top of the landing it required a lot of people and ladders and stuff like that but pretty much um this is the general shape of it and this is how it turned out if you can tell we were going for more of like that crescent look so it wasn't a complete arch so next up we decided to decorate the trees in front of the house with these little hangy ball things that kind of complemented the colors of the parties so we have browns yellows neutral colors and greens so you just see me and my mom here putting up these little things next up my sister started decorating the table where the food and the desserts will be displayed i let her finish that off and i ran back inside so i could start making some of the korean corn dogs i am in love with this recipe and with these korean corn dogs they are so so good the recipe is very simple and i'll link that down below for sure but basically all you need is flour sugar baking powder eggs and some salt and milk and you mix that all together inside of a mixing bowl to make the coating for the corndogs i didn't show it here but while you're making a mixture you should boil some hot dogs on the stove and once those come out coat them with some flour and stick them in the fridge for about 10 minutes or so i always take the little white babies out of the eggs um every time i make it i don't know does anyone else do that i just find it tastes better when those little white things are not inside of the eggs do so after 10 minutes is over be sure to take the hot dogs out of the fridge once they're out push a bamboo stick straight through them so that you create that corndog look and then once you are finished with that make sure you heat up some oil on the stove so there's the hot dog with the stick on it i'm just coating it with that same mixture that you guys saw me making and i'm covering it with some panko crumbs to really give it that nice crispy outer layer and then i will be placing that right inside of the pot with oil in it it only takes about three minutes for these things to get a nice brown outer coating and then you take them out of the pot and you cover them with sugar which i also didn't picture here and i'm so so sorry but covering them with sugar is the best part that's what makes the corn dogs the korean cordons and they're so so good so i'm headed back outside to see what my sister set up we also made hot dogs and hamburgers all of which we pre-packaged in these cute little packages that literally say exactly what they are we had hot dogs cheeseburgers hamburgers ketchup mustard everything pre-packaged and here are the corn dogs also pre-packaged with their sticks out we also have little baggies here where people can stuff their little goodies into here is a dessert table with the chopped up wood in the front so so cute going along with the forest theme so here's the desserts you see the italian cakes we made earlier the coconut clusters the cinnamon sticks snickerdoodle cookies chocolate chip cookies marshmallows donuts the whole nine so everything neutral colors with the touch of greens and here you see a bone a picture from larissa's maternity shoot actually took those pictures here at our house for the low so i have an entire video on how you can do your own at-home photo shoot coming soon so next up we decorated my dad's truck which we had at the front entrance of the house it's decorated with all the forest friends and that big bear which lands gaming for valentine's day we have the it's a boy sign also attached to the truck here on this table we have hand sanitizer and mask for people to use before they come and see larissa and then over here on the garage there is this big backdrop for people to take pictures with to left and to the right are some hanging leaves which came from amazon as well as this greenery backdrop we also hung welcome baby there we also put out some flowers and attached balloons to them to line the driveway and kind of line out where people will be walking up to her so we created this little area next to her where people can drop off their cards these two are actually two side tables put together and stacked on top of each other we have the card box here which we also decorated with some green and gold leaves then there is the belly which we painted over with some green spray paint and some gold flowers so i had showed you guys the cake display earlier but we added some more to it so as you can see it's kind of wrapped at the bottom with that same gold fabric that we used on her chair and we added some gold leaves green leaves and forest animals to add to that naked cake look so getting the cake all done up was the last thing that we had to do to prepare for the party so we ran upstairs to get ready and came downstairs to enjoy it all i will be posting a vlog next thursday of this party so please be sure you stay tuned for that it is especially difficult to have parties during this pandemic but there are still safe and fun ways that you can have events so i'm hoping this video
