Moorer was 24yo in his physical prime and he was looking exhausted when he was sitting in his corner. In front of him there was a 45 yo man standing in his corner and looking forward to the next round. Imagine how mentally draining it is. One of the best things that happened to sports.

SIGH That HBO BOXING INTRO
My dad bought a ticket to this fight day of,l while there on vacation. wore an NBC jacket my aunt have given him as a Xmas gift (she worked there) and was able to sneak up ringside with the photographers. He said he just grabbed a stool and sat down.
I called bullshit and we sat down and watched the whole fight on YouTube so he could point himself out and sure enough there he is. He also says he got into the ring when it was over and went over to Foreman and said “holy shit you did it!” but there was no footage of him in the ring with all the people in there, but given I thought he was full of shit about sitting ringside, I’ll take his word for it.
This past Xmas I got him a George foreman signed fight program from this night to frame with his ticket.
Rumor has it this fight was where he got the inspiration for the grill
George Foreman's one of my personal favorite boxers. His story, legacy, and dare I say even his lumbering but subtle style are magnificent.
