spirit and in truth speaking both to the head and to the heart will you say amen so we're going to turn it all the way up for jesus because god is good if you believe he is good to us tonight we want you to just to type or say amen he is indeed good to us so we welcome you collectively we welcome you as we worship god together tonight as we bask in the sunshine of god's grace and god's mercy yes time we were here what a wonderful time we had just basking in what god is doing in fact i'm looking out and i'm realizing that god is restoring even what we what the devil thought he had god has already restored i'm looking at the expansion of our team i'm looking at thousands of people joining live watching us and listening and hearing what god has to say uh for his people so uh welcome welcome once more to the footprints of hope series amen i'm so excited shane to be in the presence of the lord whenever i whenever i get into god's presence i get so excited i'm just so energized by what god has been doing in this footprints of hope evangelistic series we we started off on saturday sunday night with a bang praise the lord the evangelist came out with power and i want to say to everyone who is watching online tonight i want you to know that our evangelist he is fired up and he is ready to go and i believe that tonight something good is about to happen he started on sunday night when it is not enough shane when it is not enough and i've come to realize shane as i speak to you heart to heart man to man i've come to realize that god is calling all of us y'all are watching this is they say the city that never sleeps uh new york city happens to be the financial capital of the world the cultural capital of the world the political capital of the world and just over the past couple of weeks we have seen leaders from all over the world gather here in new york city for meetings to discuss world politics but i'm here to tell you tonight that even though those world leaders were meeting we are living in an age right now where the governments of this world and the leaders of this world are scratching their head in perplexity they do not know what is about to happen next but i'm here to tell you tonight that we understand what is about to happen next for we have a more sure word of prophecy that you would do well to take heed thereunto as the day approaches i don't know about you but in this city and whatever city you are anywhere in the world perhaps you like me are feeling the effects of the intensity of the great controversy in your life you know the devil is messing with you don't say amen just say ouch the devil's messing with you he's messing with your home he's messing with your finances he's messing with your family he's messing with you on your job and it's right now time for us to say devil we're drawing a line in the sand it's time for us to now say devil you can go this far but no further why do we say that because i've read in the word of god that when the enemy shall come in like a flood the lord will raise up a standard against him i've read in the word of god that the angels of the lord and campus round about them that fear him and the age of the lord delivers them i've read in the word of god that no weapon formed against you shall prosper come on god is on your side god has got your back god is in the business of delivering you right now tonight and so as you have joined us for this footprints of hope series i want to let you know that this evening will be the evening of your divine deliverance god is about to step into your situation god is about to reverse all things he's about to flip the script he's about to give you a brand new start and a brand new opportunity if you will but allow him to do what he does best which is be god that means you can't be god amen he and he alone is god so tonight wherever you are joining us from we welcome you here on behalf of the greater new york conference and our divine uh leader jesus christ our lord and savior our president henry barres our executive secretary alonzo smith and all the pastors and all the members of this great conference when we got up this morning you put us on your list for us to get up lord we did not know that we would have gone through the entire day like this but their father you carried us an eagle's wings and we just want to say thank you jesus lord we come to you at this time we pray for your holy spirit to be in this place we pray that jesus that you will anoint us with your holy spirit from above we pray to lord that you will be with every instrument that is applied in this your a last day message today lord i pray that you will be with every ear as they listen to your words of chair up there jesus that you will heal the sick you'll cause the lame to walk again you you'll cause the blind to see and father at this time i pray that you'll just comfort our hearts hear our birthday father be [Music] some of us we want to have a friend in jesus but jesus is not just our friend he's also our lord the lord guides our lives and tells us what to do what a night we have tonight i believe that heaven is anticipating something extraordinary because god has a meal for us tonight that he has been cooking up in his heavenly kitchen and already i am sniffing it i am smelling it and i am so excited i'm ready to devour it i want you to anticipate tonight rich blessings from god we have been having a wonderful time out here on sunday night you were introduced to our evangelist glenn octavius samwell he's the man of god he is power packed and bible-backed in his preaching and we know that you're excited to hear him deliver the word of god night of tonight it is my privilege of heaven moving god to do extraordinary things we have been listening to our footstomping hand-clapping music but more than all right now at this time we anticipate the word of god we believe god has been speaking to pastor gregory carl he has prepared himself he has matriculated through northern caribbean university in the salubrious island of jamaica he has also attended the wesleyan theological seminary in washington and he has achieved many degrees for himself he has many accolades many achievements but like paul he will tell you that matters nothing when you consider the power of the grace of god he is someone who has found grace and he's too eager to share with you what he has found pastor dr gregory carl is married to the former nakisha clark and together they have a 14 year old son malachi and a 10 year old daughter malia i had children at that age and i know they keep you on your knees keep you strong and keep you faithful and give you delight i know that his family is praying joshua joshua chapter two that's where we are tonight joshua chapter two i hope you don't mind kingdom family we're gonna spend a few moments just reading the word of god tonight is that all right joshua chapter two let's look at verse eight we're gonna run uh through the word tonight joshua chapter two every bible is open tonight in the presence of the lord joshua chapter two let's look at verse eight onwards the bible says now before they lay down she came up to them on the roof and said to the man i know that the lord has given you the land that the terror of you has fallen on us and that all the inhabitants of the land are faint-hearted because of you for we have heard oh yeah type that in the chat we have heard how the lord dried up the water of the red sea for you when you came out of egypt and what you did to the two kings of the amorites who were on the other side of the jordan sihon and og whom you utterly destroyed and as soon as we heard these things our hearts melted neither did there remain any more courage in anyone because of you for the lord your god he is god in heaven above and on earth beneath now therefore i beg you i beg you swear to me my lord this is rehab everybody swear to me my lord since i have shown you kindness that you also will show kindness to my father's house and give me a true token and spare my father my mother my brothers my sisters and all they have and deliver our lives from death so the men answered her our lives for yours if none of you tell this business of ours and it shall be when the lord has given us the land that we will deal kindly and truly with you hallelujah to the lamb of god our subject tonight is harnessing the power of your faith harnessing the power of your faith shall we pray father [Music] i hear hereby declare that i am now ready to download i say now father use me tonight in your service abide with me i pray that the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart will be pleasing in your sight o lord my strength and my redeemer let the people of god say amen and amen after being freed from egypt the israelites wandered in the desert for another 40 years you will recall beloved friends that moses the leader appointed by god he dies before the people enters the promised land joshua then takes over as the god-appointed leader the people kingdom family continue their journey under his leadership they cross the jordan river continuing into the land that has been promised to them but appreciate this tonight family that the land is not empty there are already kingdoms established in these lands and the message for someone here tonight is the presence of people does not prohibit the promise of god i don't know if god is telling you something tonight maybe he showed you that corner office and told you that it is yours but still it is occupied by some people but i want to give you something to shout about tonight the presence of people does not prohibit the promise of god i believe that's a good word for somebody tonight getting ready to claim something from almighty god so joshua sends spies into the land into jericho to gauge what kind of resistance the israelites will encounter the bible says in joshua chapter 1 verse 2 joshua says spy out the land especially jericho that's what the bible says especially jericho now now now i have learned kingdom family that whenever we read the word of god we ought to be hermeneutically inquisitive we have to ask some why questions and when i saw this especially jericho i began to ask myself why why why was joshua so interested in intelligence pertaining to jericho let me tell you a little bit more about jericho family jericho called the place of fragrance a fenced city in the midst of a vast grove of palm trees in the plain of jordan over against the place where that river was crossed by the israelites jericho about five miles west of jordan it was the most important city in the jordan valley and don't miss it family it was the strongest fortress in all the land of canaan it was jericho so the israelites after crossing jordan camped 15 miles don't miss the geography beloved friends 15 miles from jericho they now sent spies into the land they went they got into the the the city of jericho beloved uh they now entered an establishment an establishment operated by rahab the harlot but as soon as they arrive come with me somebody as soon as they arrive they are spotted they came they even tried to come in at evening time when the tillers of the field would be returning from their work but as soon as they entered they came even into the harlot's house that that's a busy place that's a place of a lot of activity they tried to blend in but it did not work as soon as they walked in beloved they were spotted and is there anyone here who knows that it's hard for the righteous to enjoy anonymity are you hearing me family of god once you are a child of god and once you have righteousness cruising through your veins it's hard for you to remain under the radar you will be spotted they will make you out because you are righteous and there's something about the righteous that emanates something about godliness someone is going to pick you out so the king was told the king now dispatches members of jericho's national guard to rahab's establishment but somehow family walk with me now somehow rahab remains calm and collected she hid the spies then denies they were there rehab beloved at this crucial moment don't miss it at this crucial moment rahab was faced with the choice of choosing country or conscience are you hearing me family she was at this point in her experience where she was forced to choose between country or conscience and is there anybody here or online knows that there's coming a day i feel it's holy spirit there's coming a day when every believer when every child of god is going to be forced into a situation where you are going to have to choose country or conscience and i don't know if you're seeing what i'm seeing in this world but liberties are slowly being eroded are you listening to me beloved friends watch all these mandates it's a warm-up act is there anybody here who knows that it's just a dress rehearsal because there's coming a day when we will be forced to choose between country or conscience but when that day comes when that day comes i charge somebody i challenge somebody in the presence of the lord make sure you choose conscience and a long time ago i decreed and declared that if i'm ever forced to choose between country and conscience i will choose god first because my anthem tonight is that song i pledge allegiance to the lamb with all my strength with all i am i will seek to honor his command i pledge i pledge allegiance to the lamb the bible says in acts chapter 5 verse 29 it is better to do what it is better to obey god rather than man ah another point i want to share with you tonight is as we we we seek to uh decipher how we're going to allow our faith uh how we're going to harness the power of our faith rather is we we're going to allow our faith to to regulate our anxiety uh-huh don't miss it that that if you're taking notes tonight that's a good place to start we're going to allow our faith to regulate our anxiety uh so so come with me israel was marching from victory unto victory from the red sea god was working miracles and israel's armies remained undefeated all these victories were all taking place because of one promise somebody say one promise because of one promise made by god to the israelites coming out of bondage the bible tells us in deuteronomy chapter 1 verse 8 see i have set the land before you go in and possess the land the same land i swore to your fathers abraham isaac and jacob to give them and to their descendants after them beloved one promise from god i'm gonna give somebody their reason to shout one promise from god is enough to precipitate a multiplicity of miracles in your life once god makes a promise circumstances and events in your life will adjust accordingly to ensure its fulfillment that that's a good word tonight once the lord makes a promise to you child of god i decree and declare that circumstances and events will adjust accordingly to ensure its fulfillment and somebody ought to understand that god is not a man that he should lie so if he says it it will come to pass if he says it you can take it to the bank if he declares it you better know it will come to pass in jesus name verse 9 rahab said to the spies i know the lord has given you the land in other words she was saying jericho is doomed beloved this was tremendous faith on display because the fact is jericho's walls have never been breached are you hearing me tonight her walls have never been breached no other army had ever penetrated the impregnable bastion called jericho but one woman how many did i say one woman after simply hearing didn't the bible say that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of god i say one woman simply who heard that god made a promise to a form to a group of former slaves after hearing the promise she essentially knew that olympus was as good as fallen which means she had reason to be anxious jericho was her home she had reason to fear but her faith took over and regulated her anxiety you see her faith had found a resting place not in a man-made creed she trusted the ever-living one that he for me shall plead ah in a dangerous time for jericho she allowed her faith to regulate her anxiety ah beloved do you hear that i hear it i hear some of you saying to yourselves in your living rooms in your bedrooms wherever you're wherever you're watching this service from i hear some of you saying good for rahab but i need to know how to replicate her old testament faith so i can regulate my new testament problem so the question now is what does an anxiety regulating faith look like in 2021 i think that's a good question what does an anxiety regulating faith look like in 2021 with so many people dying what does that faith look like with more than 20 people that i know personally died in the space of four weeks what does that faith look like with more and more variants of the virus coming out each and every month with natural disasters increasing in intensity and frequency i say what does an anxiety regulating faith look like ah here it is this is what it looks like when everything is falling to pieces all around you you're going to put out your faith you're going to stand up in faith and you're going to say i'm going to live and i'm not going to die in the name of jesus you're going to say the number of my days he will fulfill ah you're gonna decree and declare my mind oh god you're going to keep in perfect peace you're gonna say my bread and my water shall be sure you're gonna say i once was young but now i'm always and never i've never seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread it was her regulated anxiety that made her calm and collected enough to to negotiate with god and i want to say right now to somebody hearing this there's this message online you're going through something i don't know what you're going through but uh god told me to tell you that you have to allow your your faith to to surpass your fear are you hearing me beloved friends because the fact of the matter is that anxiety attenuates audacity anxiety attenuates audacity because when you come to god you got to be bold you got to be audacious isn't that what the bible says come boldly before the throne of grace that's audacity but when you're anxious it's going to attenuate the audacity that you ought to have when you get down to knee city to talk to god and that's what satan wants to do he wants to block the power of your faith but tonight we declare him to be a liar in the name of jesus if you believe he's a liar tonight shout or type amen beloved when your faith becomes audacious it moves the very hand of god are you hearing me beloved ah it moves the very hand of god somebody once said that faith is like wi-fi it's invisible but it's powerful enough to connect you to what you need hallelujah to the lamb of god and i don't know about you but what i'm going through tonight i need my faith to connect me tonight to what i need is there somebody here who showed up to church online or in-house that you're in need of something well the word for you is that you need to step out in your faith you need to allow it to become audacious so it can claim that which you need tonight in the name of jesus oh the next point i want to share with you tonight is that faith has an action dimension faith has an action dimension rehab beloved undoubtedly she believed god she confessed him as the god of the universe she said in verse 9 i know the lord has given you the land it's as if someone copied and pasted in rahab's inbox the promise god made to the israelites in deuteronomy chapter 1 verse 8 rahab beloved believed in the promise of god to give israel the land so she now said now therefore i beg you swear to me by the lord since i have shown you kindness that you also will show kindness to my father's house and give me a true token spear my father help me holy spirit spear my mother my brothers my sisters and all that they have and deliver our lives from death i believe tonight that somebody ought to be praying over their father praying over their mother praying for god to save a brother or a sister because when god saves you you cannot be selfish i said when you are in salvation you cannot be selfish you must somebody needs to be hearing this message in new york city tonight you must have the welfare of those in your sphere of influence on your mind and you need to leverage your relationship with god and allow your faith to cover those people who fall within your sphere of influence in the name of jesus that's when your faith becomes bold you need to get down to knee city and say father i want you to cover my brother in the name of jesus this is what rahab did in other words she was saying i did something for you you got to do something for me rahab beloved not only highlighted her faith but she also underscored her works don't miss it she underscored her works and james in looking back at rahab's actions wrote in james chapter 2 verse 25 he said likewise was not rahab the harlot justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way for as the body without the spirit is dead so faith with our works is what it's dead also so there is an action component to our faith so rehab not only professed her faith in god and his word she acted on this faith to ensure that god to ensure that god's will on earth was executed in alignment with his will in heaven and tonight we too listen to me family we too can harness the power of our faith when we realize that like rahab that our faith has an action dimension i'ma take it home i'ma take it home so here we are family in the middle of a pandemic and god's will for us is that we prosper and be in what and be in good health so the question that all of us need to be asking ourselves tonight is is there anything i can do to ensure that god's will on earth is in alignment with his will in heaven beloved there will be times when my faith will require me to act don't miss it tonight family there is an action component to our faith there will be times when our faith will require us to act but realize that it is not the action that saves me but rather it is my faith that fuels my action and it is dangerous tonight listen to the preacher it is dangerous to ignore the action dimension of our faith it is not enough in this pandemic to say i'm a man or a woman of god and the lord will keep me safe and he will protect me from harm but you do nothing about it to ensure your safety there is an action component to our faith so the prayer that all of us should ask to be praying tonight is lord as i stand before you in faith what would you have me to do the final point i would like to share with you tonight family is this as we look at how we're going to harness the power of our faith and here it is allow your faith to be bold enough to invoke privileges privileges belonging to the righteous ah who did somebody miss that allow your faith to be bold enough to invoke privileges belonging to the righteous oh beloved we're about to take it home she was known as rahab the harlot she had learned to live with that label the seventh-day adventist bible commentary volume 2 page 182 wrote the opprobrium of her former life clung to her before she was ever known as rahab the harlot and isn't it true family is the true that some of us right now are living with some labels huh can we just speak the truth and shame the devil isn't it true tonight that some of us right now somebody in jamaica union somebody in jamaica queens somebody in atlantic union somebody in the north in north america somebody tonight living is you're watching this broadcast live or or or the rebroadcast later you're living with a label i don't know what society is calling you tonight but i know that some of us like rahab we're living under the load of a label but one thing i know is that your label is not layered thick enough to block god's grace if you believe it tonight shout amen in the presence of the lord you better run with this come wednesday morning your label is not layered thick enough to block god's grace somebody ought to be brought into that cognitive awareness tonight that no man no woman is so far beyond the reach of god's grace that he or she cannot be saved if you believe it kick out an amen tonight in the presence of the lord as a matter of fact contained in that one word label is another word called able and god told me to tell you to find your able in your label and move to where he wants you to be i
