start 680. then uh fuel pumps go into higher pressure mode if it goes off it's burned on its own and then we'll get a second Spike here making sure that doesn't go too high five percent age stabilizes RPM sometimes it drops below just a little bit but it's pumping into beta let me get right back up generators are online that was a good start municipal airport Goshen Indiana automated weather and bait is available okay we can go and do The Pusher test while we're waiting for fix on my side shakes on the other side fix on both sides push interrupt it verified everything is free and we get The Pusher fail and test is complete all right let's go ahead and taxi while we're waiting on her 85 is going to our November golf let's release at Goshen airport included to the Mackinac airport is driving this thing though need some magazines to sit on a clear around the right all the instruments look good and agree welcome board the pc12 everybody uh today we are headed up to Mackinac Island Mike charlie delta that's a little island up in Michigan almost to the up and the only combustion engines allowed on the airport are on the island or airplanes and so American controllers from the Goshen airport and you're probably talking to look like one of the path in there yeah more aware of the guy in the pattern and we're clearing direct Mackinaw release Ford fire truck Goshen Knight one of our golf yeah no cars or other vehicles on the island at all just airplanes in the winter when the ice freezes over uh in the lake there airplane is the only way on and off the island so it's a very important asset for them and it's also a popular tourist destination so today I'm taking my wife up there we're going to spend the weekend celebrate our 14th anniversary so gonna be a good trip I had to take you guys along all right but then go around heading mode flight director and found I fly flaps at 15 for normal takeoff annunciators takeoff config that'll go away amps are below 30 ACS is on prims are all in the green ice protection will turn the probes and on and windshield Heats on light and taxi and Landing lights actually we've got a guy to wait on here on short final so we'll back up I'll turn the ice protection off until he's clear connection failed ah wasn't it just on yeah all right well I had the 360 camera out there on the wing for you guys uh hoping to get a landing up there in Mackinac but uh wouldn't connect for me so I guess we don't have any 360 footage today but uh let's start over at the ice We're stopped at ice protection on the fat I fly so probes windshield Heats finite will get to take the runway lights God amps off and Runway is clear Goshen traffic plot is 921 November golf departing Runway Niner in Goshen and we should have about a 1500 foot ground roll today a little bit of a crosswind from the left all right flight idle on the fuel condition lever cast is clear all the engine instruments look good left crosswind and here we go looking for 75 knots today all right positive rate here's coming up ghost traffic that's a five seven five six four nine four miles south uh Midfield across left downwind Runway at nine and y'all damp on intoxic Landing lights off 400 feet we can start a crosswind turn traffic plot of Center two on November golf departing the area to the north Goshen and activate now we're gonna go and direct Mackinac and we'll switch over to South Bend number one Julia Fox shot contact Chicago Sumter one three two point five today I'll tell Ben plot is 9-1 November golf off Goshen 2200 climbing three thousand one of them because I'm one zero ten thousand one member golf that is two miles north east of the Goshen Airport all right so this Haze is caused by the wildfires up in Canada all the smoke is making its way down here making the visibility pretty poor all right 3 000 we close the inertial separator cabin altitude and Delta pressure looking good and we'll go ahead and Bug the speed mode number 803405. make it 150 for the cruise climb here a little bumpy down here today Chicago Center one two seven point five five okay Chicago Center 2755 on Vermont golf song Chicago Center Pilates Niner two one November golf 7 000 climbing one zero ten thousand a lot of thought you wanted zero climb maintain flight level one nine or zero one November coffee all right well now that we're above that first Cloud layer it should be pretty smooth for the rest of the flight usually once you get above that first layer that's where the thermalstar kind of the tops of The Thermals so it's gonna be pretty smooth after that all right ten thousand we do have the inertial separator clothes pulse lights can come off and Delta pressure is still coming up and cabin altitude looks about right Emma did it do it it connected all right we got it connected [Music] all right uh hopefully it stays recording the whole way yeah yeah start a 378 Chicago it will actually get the normal speed climate all right now what was the difference 14 000 feet I have no idea sometimes all right this is the insta 360 that I have the X3 but I've heard uh just reading yesterday somebody was talking about the GoPro Max that's their 360 camera somebody was saying they had problems with it connecting so not just my insta360 it's apparently an action camera problem s I'm glad it worked though yeah let's see here one two three point eight two of course he knows maybe it'll be all Smoky up there too probably 35 miles to Lake Michigan from here and you can't even see it Hot Smoke a thousand to go all right well there we are at uh 19 000 plot level 190. it's our cruising altitude and it's only going to be about an hour up there so no sorry I didn't realize not a whole lot of a time lapse but I'll try to make one for you guys and I'll talk to you on the decent what are you looking forward to the most about Mackinaw no kids meal S no kids meals yes we did not bring the kids okay fudge fan sure Mackinaw is apparently famous for its fudge I don't know I'm not a huge fudge person but I'll try it we'll try it yeah biking I'm excited about the biking no cars to worry about um on the whole island it's only eight miles around the whole the whole island so it's pretty small I think even I can make it around even you can make it around uh yeah I think we're planning on doing that after we land go take our bikes we brought them you might be able to well you can't really see them they're in the back there yeah apparently there's uh some caves you can check out um sets are supposed to be pretty good and you know with all this smoke probably really good we're missing out on the ferry experience if you drive up uh the only other way on the island is taking a ferry I guess unless you swim it's a long swim probably taking a ferry or airplane and the only way is on the island so cynical City Airport uh horse-drawn carriage ride that's gonna be kind of cool their taxi service is a horse-drawn carriage but we'll do that it's two miles into town from the airport so not too far the bike but maybe a little far to drag a suitcase so uh yeah I'll do the horse John Carriage thing that'll be fun uh oh it's Lilac Festival apparently this weekend I don't really know what that is we've never been to Mackinac at all um so we'll see looks like there's a lot of activities planned might be a lot of people there have a great day it'd be a good weekend relax bleep in yeah don't make any meals for little people right they're being well taken care of at Grandma and Grandpa's this weekend yeah they were very excited about that well we'll be sure to get some footage of some of the things we're doing bring you guys along with a little bit of that on the end of the flight we'll talk to you on The thousand so we are starting down now B nav just captured that and uh we're close enough we could be able to pick up their weather there Mackinac Island golf is starting down for 10. all right let's see if we can get their weather in the airport automated weather weather from East Chicago area parking supervisors approved have a good day all right it's a little bit Gusty 250.10 five thousand we'll continue our descent to five thousand one remember the 250 at uh 10 gust 14. um it says 10 miles visibility but with all this smoke um not sure if it'll actually look like 10. so it'll be winds almost down the runway the runway is too thicks there that should be a pretty uneventful Landing uh Runway is 3 500 feet over 50 foot obstacle with uh just 30 degrees of flaps so all right I'm going to go ahead and put in Unicom and come to listen see if anybody is flying around up here palestin that was our alternate you see that right up there five Hotel golf uh like a modified holding pattern out there you can go uh that's 25 miles Big Lake over here yeah that's Bert Lake and mullet Lake beside it oh the one that's yeah the one on the right is unusable we'll never sign that water five Islands two thousand seven hundred yeah that's the Mackinac Bridge that's the Straits of Mackinaw they call it that's a pretty big bridge or two seven two nine interchange so this is boy Blanc and then there's a little island and then um Mackinaw island is the one straight in front of us there like closer I was looking at the two that are farther away but that's the bridge you drive across yes that's a bridge then you take a ferry from right over across the bridge across to Mackinac 0921 November Gulf Minneapolis our 920 November golf They said to maintain uh 2 900. 92 November golf at Mackinaw wins two four zero and one Augustina one for two Niners 76 division airport 12 o'clock and one zero miles the island side I don't see the airport yet but we're planning on visual one to remember golf cool all right go ahead and turn the pulse lights on open the inertial separator and I think what we'll do to avoid flying over the island we'll just cancel that fire go visual around the island and line up have a good day good day one of them I can see like the cut in the trees where the runway would be so we'll just cut through over here kind of stay away from the city our noisy airplane away airports at 741 feet so we use 2300 for pattern altitude and on traffic plus 921 November golf four and a half miles to the South we'll join a left base for Runway two six Mackinac Island oh there's the Grand Hotel [Applause] I'm good go 15 degrees of flaps and go and go gear down some private boat out there all right we got three greens inertial separator is open been uh run off the odd damper and Delta pressure is coming down I need to come down a little bit further yet and then there's a little bit of a hill the high point of the island is kind of between us and the airport kind of see a little bit of the airport we can't see the uh approach end of it of the runway thank you [Music] foreign looks clear I don't see anybody ever heard anybody 30 degrees flaps [Applause] you know cross went a little bit from the left and then this Bluff here um kind of gives the illusion we're higher than we are gotta be careful of that don't get too low 500 500. all right their speed looks good our incline path looks good blow down a little bit more towards the dynamic speed bug there's plenty of room on the ramp a couple swallows here is down there we are welcome to Mackinac the Gusty winds kind of over those trees got a little uh tricky there once we crossed uh drop below the tree line but it wasn't too bad wind was just kind of swirling a little bit approaching Runway zero eight two six Mackinac traffic plus 9 or 200 member golf clear of the runway Mackinac all right we got the ice protection reset I'm gonna go ahead and turn the inertial separator to close here um since we're gonna be here for a few days just preventing rain or birds or anything calling up in there and I hope you guys enjoyed the flight we're looking forward to a good weekend glad to
