hi everyone welcome back to the channel in today's video I'm going to be sharing with you how to make this really fluffy and tasty homemade donuts the beautiful thing about this is that they can be made without a stand mixer so if you're like me and you do not understand mixer this is the recipe for you stick around and I'm going to show you how to make them from scratch now let's dive right into the video to make our Donuts we need some all-purpose flour instant yeast a bit of sugar margarine you can also use butter egg and a bit of lukewarm water first things first we are going to start by mixing all our dry ingredients together it is very important that you sift your dry ingredients especially your flour I've done this outside of the camera or behind the scenes just so it's easier and it's quicker for me but it is important that you do that after adding all my dry ingredients I'm just going to go ahead and mix them thoroughly to combine and now I'm going to go in with one egg and then the lukewarm water you can also decide to use room temperature water but I just like being safe when it comes to yeast so I'm going to use lukewarm water all I'm just going to do now is to mix this and Combine please do not be tempted to add any more flour or any more liquid to this particular recipe just follow the actual recipe that I'm going to leave in the description box I am going to get the exact result that I have gotten after mixing in a bowl I'm just going to transfer that onto my worktop and now I'm going to knead this for about 10 minutes what our dough looks like after 10 minutes and now I'm going to be adding the margarine to this like I said earlier you can also decide to use butter this is where this work gets messy so if you don't have a stand mixer just deal with the mess like I said earlier also please do not be tempted to add flour or liquid to anything at any point just follow Texas recipe and you're going to be fine all I'm going to do now is I'm just going to work the butter or the margarine into my dough properly as you can see my work top is kind of sticky but I'm also not adding any liquid or any flour to this thing because like I said once you work your dough once you work the butter or the margarine into the dough you're going to see that everything is going to come together just like this now you can see my work stuff is or my worktop is not sticky at all and everything is looking really really good this is what we get after another 10 minutes the total kneading time for this particular donut is 25 minutes it is long but you're definitely going to get a good result so this is what exactly I'm doing and I think you should do the same to get the perfect results after leaving for 25 minutes I'm just going to set that aside and I'm going to add a bit of vegetable oil into my mixing bowl then I'm going to add the dough that we made earlier and now I'm going to cover this with a cling film and keep in my oven to rest or to proof for one hour please do not put this in anywhere hot your oven should be warm or wherever you're putting this should be warm if you don't have an oven you can just wrap this with wrapper or something and keep it in a warm plate do not be tempted to on or turn on the heat or anything your oven is fine my oven was not even on before after this please and please a warm place is fine after about an hour my dough is properly proved which is what we want you want to make sure that it doubles in size I'm going to remove the cling film and then I'm just going to press this down now another thing I always tell people to do is when you get your due to this point you just want to need for maybe one extra minute to remove any air pockets or anything in between or inside the door just exactly what I'm doing here I'm gonna show you in a bit what it looks like just because we have proofed the dough so you can see a little bit of air pockets and you do not want that so it is important just like what I just showed you here it is important that you close all of those to make sure that you do not comes out really really nice and now I'm just going to cut my dough into different sizes I'm trying to make them equal the standard size honestly is 7c grams but you can do whatever you want to do I always stay between 65 to 70 for me it's not really really always going to be perfect but for the sake of this video I'm gonna try to make sure that it is perfect I did try my best to make sure that it is perfect after getting the accurate measurement now I'm now going to roll these on my work surface because like I said you want to make sure that you're locking or closing every possible hole that could poke out or come out in your Donuts because if it's not really smooth you're not going to get a really smooth and aesthetically pleasing Donuts so you want to make sure you're closing every hole just like I am doing here and now I'm going to place them on a parchment paper as you can see this is the first time I'm adding flour to this and this is because I don't want it to stick now I'm going to take that back into the oven and let it Brew for additional 30 minutes after about 13 minutes as you can see it is looking all gorgeous and it's looking good and there's also double in size this is exactly what you're looking for I'm just going to go ahead and cut out the parchment paper Parts just so it's easy for me to drop into my oil another note or one tip you should notice actually when making donuts is that your oil should never be too hot and never be too cold your oil should literally almost lean in towards cold but not too cold because if it's too hot it's gonna burn or and it's also not going to cook your Donuts through and if it's too cold your Donuts are going to soak up oil and you do not want that while we're here you guys in case it's the first time you hear my voice or in case it's the first time you're coming across a video from my channel hi everyone so much now I'm just going to fry the donuts for two minutes on each side as you can see on the donut by the right this is what happens when your donut is not properly wrapped or rude you are not going to get a smooth surface like the ones you're seeing here we're going to fry this for two minutes on each side and then we are going to take it out of the oil and then place on the parchment paper or it power sorry paper towel to make sure that it drains all the excess oil I'm just going to go ahead and complete the rest of this and this is it you guys honestly your donut is ready at this point you can decide to do whatever you want to do look at this beauty you like these these Donuts was so good you guys because I like sweet soup because I'm a sweet soup because I like sweet mouth I am just going to go ahead and add some sugar to this this is optional you don't have to do this some people like to add Jam whatever you want to do is fine after this point but I'm just going to add some sugar to this and then I'm just going to again do that on every donut off for every do not and then this is what they look like you guys please if you found this video helpful click on subscribe
