hi my name is michelle and i'm mama loves ugb here on flosstube but also over on instagram as well this is the fifth time i've started this and i'm hopefully gonna get just to the end of the introduction because that would be really nice uh this is flosstube number 40 and it is the first of august today and welcome along to the sunday morning briefing how we doing hope you've had a really really good week um if you remember last sunday i'd actually filmed the previous wednesday because we had some friends staying with us now that means i have been left unattended for 10 days so i have got some cool things to show you i've got some finishes i've got some whips i've got a little bit of birthday haul i've got some birthday um treats as well to show you um all sorts of cool stuff so i hope you'll stick around and uh and spend some time with me this morning while you have your coffee or your um cereal or your toast or gin and tonic whatever you like if that's what you do first thing on a sunday morning you crack on um so i'm gonna get started because it would seem as i said this is my fifth introduction so trying to uh come up with anything at the moment seems my 42 year old brain doesn't want to do it it said we've had enough we're aging now let's just get on with it shall we so the first thing i've done actually is i have just taken this little hanging pillow down and put over this side so it doesn't get the light's a bit funny tonight um this little hanging pillow down because i get so many questions about this this little pillow um is designed by the subrosa and it's called the good witch and it was in an edition of punch needle and primitive stitcher magazine and i'll have to put the the number across the bottom or the year and the number across the bottom and she's on a piece of 32 count linen i hand dyed and if you want to see exactly how i dyed this linen if you go to my video about how to use walnut dye then you can see actually this piece of linen being dyed and i just changed her or just turned her into a little a little hanging pillow she is actually in the magazine in a black dress but i changed her to have this kind of lovely sort of mulberry colored dress using a silks for you so um if you want a closer look at her she's in a picture on my instagram i just bit my own tongue uh she's in a picture on my instagram so you can have a close look at that and then um if you want to go and grab her you can just buy the punch needle and primitive stitcher magazines individually but the subscription is well worth every single penny so um i would recommend that you get that right birthday haul i'm going to start with birthday haul because some of them have already been stitched with um and so it sort of turns into stitches and plans and all sorts of things as well however before i get going with that the most important thing albus albus is fine he had well i say he's fine he's become a bit of a princess if i'm honest i'll say that but in a minute so yeah he had his operation on tuesday and he had a lump removed that was on his sort of hindquarter on his hip and the vet was just a bit worried if it grew any bigger it was going to start to impede his movement so um so we had it removed anyway he was fine it was absolutely fine for a couple of days and didn't bother the wound at all and then it just started to get just a little bit weepy um nothing serious but he then started to lick it and so you know what happens the scenario goes on and so i've spent the last few mornings of the last last few nights should i say sleeping downstairs with him just even a bit of company to try and stop him um stop him licking it so i've watched lots of the olympics live um i just want to say weldon's helen gleber and police one because that was an epic performance um and actually all the performances that i've seen in the wee small hours so yeah i've been sleeping downstairs to try and stop him licking it and then i actually took him back to the vet this morning just for the vet to have another look at it and basically because they he had this lump which has actually been proved to be um a fatty lump totally benign so we're very happy about that um he's now got like a divot he's got he's got a cavity and so it's just leaking tissue fluid into there and then because there's a little hole in the stitching there's a little pucker it just kind of leaks out again so the vets the vet's not too worried it'll stop um but i have to admit when they first when he first came home chris went and got him and brought him in and i sort of looked at the room and i was like i actually said i said did they do that with a bread knife because it just looked horrendous because they hadn't it hadn't been dressed um because it was still it was still wet so they'd given us the stuff to dress it afterwards i was like oh my god did they do that and i looked at the stitches and i was like it's not very it's not much cop there i didn't use the pin stitch to start that aren't they um but no all is well and uh he's gonna be fine which is the most important thing but he has turned into a princess so um chris has been pampering him with giving him things like rice and chicken um and doing stupid things like hand feeding him and now basically i got the uh the bog standard dog food out this morning he was not having a bar of it totally turned his nose i put it howled at the bowl as if to say what is that scrap i'm not eating that even though we do buy him nice dog food we don't don't buy the cheap stuff um yeah went and led back on the sofa like a proper princess so yeah he needs to be retrained in the ways of the duck when he's a little bit better we'll give him a couple more days and then he's back in the ways of the dog right birthday so my birthday was the day after albert had his operation so we didn't really get up too much nes and i just chilled out in the house kept an eye on an albus made sure he was okay he was a little bit groggy a little bit sleepy and so we just sort of chilled out i got to watch the olympics in the day even though nes wanted to watch cartoons i was like no it's my birthday we were watching the olympics so we watched the olympics watch the gymnastics um and then chris took her out in the afternoon so that i could have a bit of a kip on the sofa and i actually did some stitching as well so all was good so um chris bought me um amongst other things he bought me some charts um so he's he's uh he's learned now that all etsy offers him is cross stitch charts so having searched for a few cross stitch charts for previous exp previous birthdays and christmases and things now it comes up with suggested things so you quite often will turn around to me and go oh needle case goodies have got something else have you seen the latest witchy stitcher so i'm training him slowly but surely i'm training him so these are the ones that he picked out for me um so this is the first one this is called jolly jack by woolly you and they're mostly halloween ones at the moment which is going to be excellent because i've got something else to share with you later on um in the video so this is by the woolly you called jolly jacks and what i'll try and do is i'll try and put the links to these down below so if you want to go and grab them you can talking of the witchy stitcher this one a stitcher haunts here now this is a pretty cool chart because not only do you get it in the black and gray colorway but you also get it where are we where are we you also get it in the colored version and i really don't know what to do i was thinking about doing the black and gray but on a slightly on a bright linen but i do really like i do really like the colored one so i don't know i don't know which one to choose to do so there's those and then the rest of them have already made their way into these little sort of keeper bags that i use um and basically what that means is i've already picked out fabric or floss or something with them so it's not just the pattern there's there's some form of kitting taking place so i've got this one as well try and get it the right way up so this is called halloween lamb if i turn it that way you'll be able to see it a little bit better and that is by theresa mergida primitive acorn primitive acorn i'll put the link to that one up that's such a cute little one and the reason that i've put it there is because i have picked out some fabric to do it on this is a 32 count x2 designs in elixir actually and this is just a small off-cut piece i actually prefer the back of this one that's the back that's the front i actually prefer the back um i suppose the front's the bit you prefer isn't it um so yeah i'm going to be doing it on on there so there's that one as well and then i'm gonna have to put a picture of this one um and the next one actually because um i haven't printed out the cover chart so this one is called the raven and the nigellas by panuchika and i did ask how to say this and somebody did reply i think penuchika um but i will put a picture up of that one because i've got the chart and i'm going to put it onto this piece of fabric and this piece of fabric is by gary baldy needleworks and it's called cafe mocha it's a 28 count and i got it from like a facebook station notes i have no idea how you go about buying it um from from the supplier but this is going to be part of my plan because this is going to be my cross stitch camp for august because the prompt for august was to use um something that you've not used before and i've never used linen from that company before um i know it's maybe stretching it just a little bit but i tend to use quite a lot of different types of products across it so i'm struggling to find something that i've i've never used so um yeah i'm gonna go for that that linen like somebody on facebook had said that they were going to do something on black uh black linen and i've never switched on black linen either so i do have something to go on black linen so um it's only small you never know i might end up doing two i might end up doing two and the last one again was from ponochika and i got to put another picture up here it's called uh the macabre dance and i picked out a piece of 32 count belfast gray it's the zweigar it's the gray version of um vintage country mocha so it's the one with the mottling in i can't remember what they call it no i remember but it's the gray version of vintage country mocha anyway and so there's that one as well so enjoyed enjoyed those um i just want to show you what nest got me as well so in the little village um next to us there's a tiny little gallery or a little gallery and they do artworks and sculptures and all sorts of things and i've seen these little set of houses in the window every time i drive through the little village which is usually at least twice a day once on the way there once on the way back and every time i've looked at them nice so i said to chris i really like those and so he took ness in and she picked picked one out for me and so she went straight to the one with the two hearts on it for me and her apparently i'm the little heart she's the big one i'm the little one um but you can get it's a ceramic um but you can get other ones so you can build up a little little village and so i'm gonna have to go in actually and find out more about the artist that's what it says on the back it says sl20 december 8th so i thought that was really cool really cool and then i had a present from christina um from whilst iris snaps now she spoiled me she did spoil me she sent me a nice card which is all about making strawberry jam which i love to do i love to make strawberry jam so yeah pretty pretty standard method there making strawberry jam she would love your message inside and she sent me this spool and naughty lady also sent me all of the threads that i would need for my birthday start which was matilda isabella creasy so there's all of the weak style works threads there and i've just popped a little bit of i call it ring bling i can never remember what the proper term for it is i'm sure it's not ring bling i wouldn't suggest you search it on the internet um so i've just got elizabeth the first uh with my whole thing about the tudors at the moment and so i have started matilda isabella crazy um if you haven't seen the chart this is what she looks like absolutely beautiful sampler i cannot wait to do some more on that and i had to actually force myself to stop on this because i had a couple of other things i wanted to try and get finished and so i had to force myself to stop and i am working on a piece of 38 count linen that i dyed myself and there it is and this is how far i've got now i haven't ironed it don't fret i am going to see mum uh next week so that she can surge this for me because she hadn't surged it because i hadn't done anything with it yet which is playing with linen so there is my start on matilda isabella creasy i'm sorry i haven't mined it i was going to iron it but then it's already past 10 o'clock at night i think there's a law about getting the iron out that late at night i don't know so i've started on the border now normally i would probably run all the way around the border but i did decide to make a start on the lettering and the sort of border that goes across the middle there and the vas are flowers and the little um windmill the little windmill there so it's not a bad that's probably more than the linen color the linen that is called for the linen that christina stitched hers on is called something hog 36 count foglies lifter by r reproductions now other than the picture of christina's reproduction that i've seen on her flosstube i've never seen fog lifter so i just had to think oh what color that might be so i used um some taupe some ripped taupe and that gave me quite a gray almost like a hint of green and i didn't want the green so i popped in some caramel and it just gave me this nice this nice shade which i was happy with i don't know how close it is to fog lifter but i was happy with it so that is my start on matilda isabella crazy and the other thing i've got in this little packet is another birthday card that i received and this one is from the mother ship so the mothership was absolutely knocked out the park with the card this year just so that you can see so yeah i absolutely love that absolutely love that i think actually what i'll end up doing is turning it into like a thread card or something so i can keep it a bit longer but yeah love that right before i get on to showing you my finishes and my whips and the other things i've stitched this week there's a little bit of flosstube that i just want to um just want to talk to you about because i have found um brilliant new flosstubers they're already on um costume number three and i caught up with them and i caught up with all of their videos literally in one afternoon um let me get it right they are the crafty stitchers and they are steven heather and they're from gloucester so um as soon as i heard their accents i was like last gloucester that's gloucester with a hit of shroud actually and then i had to watch my uh watch their videos back and yeah there is a pretty much exactly right glossary of the hinton stroud um so it's lovely to hear the accent and they are doing some brilliant things and one of the things that they are doing actually just hit me right on the bell which was halloween in august and i was just thinking about i wanted to get started doing some halloween and all this stuff or some halloween things in august and um so yeah their hashtag halloween in august has absolutely come perfect at the right time and actually that one is i think is what i'm going to start with with halloween in august and then see how much further i get because obviously the um pornographical one that i'm doing for [Music] crosstalk camp is a bit halloweeny and the cryptid sal which is starting today that is also a little bit halloweeny so well it could be halloween wouldn't it cryptids um sasquatches and and nessies and muffmans and all of that definitely halloween and i feel like managed to get back more into the lambda flosstube um and so i was watching ellen reed from the maximum crossditch power hour and i always get those words in the wrong order and it's fantastic to see she has got two of the most beautiful finishes the sort of things that i would be delighted if i finished in a lifetime and she had two in in one hour and i was like well not even an hour i was just like oh goodness me so go and have a look at that creatively yours debbie caught up with her she's been doing a lot of full coverage um and they've had a full coverage month her and her her gang of stitches the stitch cuties there we go uh joyfield stitcher i watched as well caught up with her um kyle stitching in sound i've watched him and his um his finish which is beautiful as well and then i finally got around to watching brenda and laura and i had been saving that episode the blackbird episode because i just wanted to be able to watch it by myself and interrupted and just just savor all the lovely things that they were they were showing us and it was it was a treat for the eyes however the best line the best line in the whole thing brenda just came around said my husband he doesn't really bother me he was like oh brenda i know exactly what you mean but the way she came out it's like my husband doesn't really bother me it was brilliant it was brilliant um but nice to see brenda looking so well and was there another one no that's pretty much that's pretty much it for the floss tube so i'll link all those down below um if they're new to you go and check them out um or if you just taking a break like i did from flosstube for a little while while watching um yeah i'm glad i'm back into it now i feel i've got more time to just savor what everyone's doing and there's loads of mid-year whip parades going on at the moment as well and i love me a whip parade love me a whip parade right i have got two finishes the first one the first thing i have finished now that i stopped farting about with what color i was going to do the blooming acorns i finished it so this is uh quaker samplings three with my needle and i loved it so much in the color that it was shown that i stitched it in the color pretty much that will show so i stitched mine in silky thread one one one six nine which is it looks quite bright there but it's actually more of a more of a brownie red definitely more of a brownie red find some sky hooks tying that on and again i've not ironed this but there it is there it is and you can see i think i said last week that i decided to do the acorns just in the same color and i think i've made the right choice i do like it i do like it like that and i put my initials in the middle in the cartouche there and then i put 20 21 over there and so this is stitched on a piece of 36 count and i'm not sure what color it is on the bag it said platinum but it's not the same color as platinum the other platinums i've got so i think it might be cream and i've just mixed up the bag somewhere along the line so there she is and i actually already know how i'm gonna finish it or i'm gonna try to finish it um now not only have i got christina's spool i've got quite a few other little spools so what i want to do is make a big drum now it's going to be a whopping big drum and i want it as a stand for my spools because i want to do some red and white spools so i've got an idea about how to do it obviously i know how to make a drum but this is going to be the mother of all drums so i know i'm going to do it i just need to do it so yeah can't wait can't wait can't wait to do that and then the other thing i've finished is throw over um the term better late than never really applies to this and i have finished this one from pantini pantini when i think of april and if you don't follow her on instagram or um facebook you need to because she's been showing all of the things that she's got for um the new needlework expo that's happening um oh my there's some goodness good things good things i'm actually thinking about having a pontini pantini month in september um obviously i'm going to be doing sample september but i'm thinking about having a puntine pantini month in september because i've got so many charts that i really really want to stitch and i just love them all and so here is my finish over april oh my goodness me there's my finish of april i really need to start ironing things there we go um i used the sort of cultural colors ish um colors that were similar and then the button that goes with this one is this tiny little duck teeny tiny little duck and the little duck so i can actually hold him in the right place it goes at the bottom there now you give me two minutes i will show you what i'm gonna do with this if you haven't already seen it before so for those of you who are new to my channel and i've had quite a few new subscribers recently this is what i do with my pantini pantini months um i had a local craftsman a local woodturner turned me a big spool and then i just make it into a little backed strip backed with um some polka dot fabric and then i just tie it round the spool so that i can change it easily she says try not to drop it on her toe there we go and so i can just finish it easily and i've also got there's the january one so i've got january march and april now i've got all the charts up to june i think to do so i've got a couple more a couple more so this one will just go this is going to be a terrible there we go so it'll just go around there and fit like the other ones do so that's april and i might try and get made um as well because then i'll be cooking on gas for the um the start of next year right i'm just making a pile there what else have i got to show you what else have i worked on so that's my two finishes my two finishes i was quite happy with that i think that takes me up to nine nine i think for july which i'm pretty pleased with i did a very small amount and by very small amount it literally was just a few stitches the other night on sully spencer by birds of a feather and i'm stitching this in similar colors on a piece of 36 count ale and this was one of my mania starts um one of the samplers that i decided to start for mania and you can tell that i picked it up and put it down in a hurry because the needle's still yeah the needle's still poking in so it does show up better in real life than it is in this light at the moment which keeps fluctuating but yeah beautiful beautiful chart and again for those of you that are newer to cross stitch um sally spencer is out of print chart it does pop up on ebay occasionally it's not one that you're going to be able to just search and find super easy and like this next one you can find this one really easily in fact you could buy it as a kid so this is welcome summer by the drawn thread and i just get the cover page out there we go there's welcome summer and i purchased mine as a kit with all the cool four threads which is silks from chris of the nimble thimble and it's stitched on 30 count i think it's lamb's wall it's the called four linen 30 count man's wall what we've got sticking out of here um random bit of silk i'm always doing that there we go um 30 count lambswool which is the called for linen and this is the second one of these i've done i've done welcome spring as well which sits above my fireplace so this is going to go in the same place i'll frame it the same and then it will just be interchangeable so i was hoping to get this finished as well but i'm hoping sorry let's get rid of it i'm hoping that i'll get it finished for next week um so it's got a few specialty stitches nothing dramatic a few specialty stitches and as you can see in the middle instead of the american flag i switched mine out and put the english like this in george cross there we go so really enjoying that one no i just found a fiver in that bag amazing all right what cross stitch can i buy with that literally i have no idea where that fiber came from okay so that is all i've worked on this week um so i'm hoping as i said to finish the um the welcome summer by next week otherwise there won't be any point in having it up um the weather has already been a little bit ropey here this week summer is depending on which forecast you look at it's either going to make a resurgence later on this month or that's it you might as well get your ray mac out and we're into we're into autumn okay next next next next i have got the results of the competition so two weeks ago i did a giveaway from deb at frog cottage designs and she very kindly gave me a copy of this chart which is called prim alphabet sampler because i'd said how much i like horizontal samples horizontal alphabet samples so she gave me a copy of it and she also gave me three copies to give away so i finished mine and personalized it a little bit now i'm going to try and hold it up like i did last week just covering covering ness's surname there at the bottom um so i finished mine pretty much um as charted similar colors but i changed my main letters to a blue and then i changed instead of the word welcome at the bottom it says ness's surname and her initial there is in the pink sorry i'm not holding that very well if you want to see it better go two videos back so the winners the winners winners were winner winner chicken dinner marzipan stitcher so congratulations to you i'll put your comment and you're um taken from comment picker i'll put your your comment up there uh the next one was laura bly so congratulations to you laura i'll put your comment up there as well and then lastly was patty williams so well done patty there were 331 entries for that competition so that's amazing so um marzipan stitcher laura and patty if you can get in contact with me i will have commented on your comment and i will put my contact information um in the drop down box so either drop me an email or dm me on instagram so there's quite a good way as well and i will pass your information on to deb um frog cottage designs and then she can send you your pdf so well done to those three thank you very much to deb for the giveaway as well that's amazing and i can't wait to get mine finished because as i said at the time it's already been claimed to be going into nestle's room right what have we got now am i on to haul let me just check i haven't done a freebie i haven't done a freebie and that's terrible because i've got two i've got two oh right the first one is from hello from miss matthews now if you aren't signed up to her newsletter then you need to be because she has done a series of four free smalls which have elements taken from um larger patterns that she's got and this is the summer one so this is the third one and this is the freebie there sorry blowing out that is the freebie there so all you need to do is to get on to hello from liz matthews sign up for the um email newsletter and then you will get those and probably access to previous ones have already come out as well i would think and then the other one that came out this week is a freebie from twin peak primitives and it says there is no magic so the wording says there is no magic when one no longer believes so i think what i'm going to do is i'm going to stitch the girl and the cat i really like those two together beautiful design all in all but yeah i think i'm trying to do the girl in the cat so this is a little a little pillow i like the look on her face she looks a little shifty she's like looking at her cat as if the cat's just done something which knowing a cat it probably has or it's thinking about doing something that you might not like getting out the murder clause right okay i'm into hall now unashamedly i'm into hall it was my birthday what more i don't need to say anymore i don't need to say any more however the first thing i'm going to show you is what i have been waiting for for ages these are the packages that got lost twice because yodel threw them in a hedge somewhere in um south wales and then i got so nakey with the company i told them i didn't want them i wanted my money back and so actually they're quite a big company i don't want to name them um and they told me they've refunded me but they haven't yet so i've actually put in a paypal um dispute about them because yeah i'm gonna be lied to but anyway i went to another company i went to vistaprint for these and i ordered 500 of them and you're probably going what the heck what do you need 500 and i've ordered 500 business cards and again you're thinking why do you need 500 business cards well i always keep my um floss now i don't bob in bobbin anymore i keep my floss on the little cardboard tags the little brown tags and i was getting low on them and i thought well rather than order them more of those i'll have a look around and see what else i can find so i came up with the idea of a business card and the fact that i can then personalize that business card so i have got 500 of these so basically on the front it just says dmc and there's space for me to write the number on and then on the back now i wasn't sure what to put on the back because i was like why should i find an image of dmc thread and put that on the back or should i find my favorite sampler and put that on the back and i was like no it needs to be an enduring image it needs to be an enjoying image so the image that i put on the back has been in every single house that i've ever owned and i've had a picture of her ever since i was probably about 14 and i've showed you her before she is called the ugly duchess absolutely love her she's in my bathroom at the moment i absolutely love her um it's the bosoms i think and the face yeah it's just everything about her um and so i've got 500 of these little cards with the ugly touches on the back and they cost me about 18 quid i think including delivery um so they're really really thick cardstock i think they are 350 gsm and the little card um labels that you buy from amazon are only 300 gsm so they are these are thicker um so let me show you them in action so there we go these are the threads for the witchy stitches cell apart from the copious quantities of black that is required um that i got from patchwork rabbit and they are really really good i think now bearing in mind if you wanted to do an entire set of dmc you could do that for about 18 quid so there's those now the other fun thing i thought would be is that if anybody um does fancy doing some and you want to swap you want to do some swapsies let me know and if you want to send me 20 or 30 of yours i'll send you 20 or 39 and we can we can swap because obviously i've got quite a lot of this design it'd be nice it'd be epic to do some to do some swaps and get some from all different stitches so that'd be cool that'd be cool um i should say that in addition to the cards obviously you need a circular punch so i have this one which is 1.9 centimeters and then the other thing i have is just a single hole punch for doing the tops with but yeah i am super pleased with those so you can get loads for your money and as i said they're lovely they're lovely so i'm pleased they finally came i'm pleased that they finally came what else have i got oh my god i can't wait to show you these i can't wait to see these so i was on etsy and i've already put these on my instagram actually and i found a lady called deborah darling and she actually is in west wales she's she's not very far from me at all and she makes and sells lots and lots of beautiful handcrafted things she's mostly known i think for her dolls her beautiful dolls that she makes but she's got lots and lots of other things on her um on her etsy side which i will link down below and she makes these wooden floss cards and she signs everyone so obviously i had to get the wee donkey i had to get the wee donkey and i had to get the welsh lady couldn't not get her she's a beauty and then deborah very kindly sent me that one as well the folk art hand and she's very very um got her roots in folk art so if you like anything that teresa koga does you will love her her things very very similar sort of as i said folk art so those three so as i said i'll put all her details down below you go and have a look cause she's got other ones and oh yeah we were talking actually quite a bit and she's got loads of ideas for new things as well so make sure you favorite the shop even if you don't get anything now or even if you shop now and then make sure you favorite it so you'll see all her new things i picked up a couple of spools just empty spoons and i think i may finish my little mickey's creation sheep from last week as you can see i've been bending the fabric i can't remember which of the spools i decided to go with i think it was that one actually i may finish on there and make a little pumpkin to go on top so i think that's how i might finish that one what else have i got trays these trays have come into aldi these sort of narrow mango wood trays now they do have on the front some funny little um burned there's supposed to be like postmarks and things like that on there but i will be using mine on that side and i will probably paint it because i did buy two but one of them is earmarked already because one of the things that i want to finish because it's blackbird designs weekend next weekend well strictly speaking it's the first of august today so you could have two weekends on heck blackbird can you can do blackberry at any time but but this is the one that i've been working on agnes platt and this is the be skept one that i've been working on with nikki noodle and she's finished hers and i haven't done any more since i showed it since i showed it to you last but i'm hoping to get it finished this week but what i'm gonna do is i think i'm gonna paint my tray like the dark red and then i'm gonna make again hold please a little stitching tray like that obviously you know straight um but also in the book i've just put down somewhere okay so i find a fiver and lose the book is that how today's going literally i've just flung that somewhere i haven't got a clue where i'll watch this back and i'll be like it's there you put it there anyway anyway there is a pin cushion that you can make as well um which i was going to show you so i'm going to make the pin cushion and put it in the side here so it's going to be like a stitches tray um so these were in aldi for 5.99 each which i thought was a pretty good deal so i'm happy with those other bits of haul i have got i bought this one from chris at the nimble thimble now i love this one when it came out and i'll read it tuesday i'm going to try and focus on my wobbly hands it says october gave a party the leaves by hundreds came the chestnut oaks maples and leaves of every name the sunshine spread a carpet and everything was grand miss weather led the dancing professor wind the band you had me at professor wind my inner five-year-old was there with professor wind and i also bought from the patrick rabbit this one uh the black cherry tart i love a black cherry tart um but i just liked those those little birds it's not a new chart but i just not appreciated it before that one and then from jeffy smith 2055 on ebay i bought two other charts this one i've wanted for a while since it came out remember me pin keep and i've got it kitted up with some of the threads now the good thing about these cards actually is i've got a couple there that i haven't got so i can just keep those in my wallet so next time i'm in a shop that sells dmc or i need to make an order i can just gather up all my cards and i know where it's from there's enough space there if you want to write the project on it as well you can do and let's just put those there and then this one i have been gaga over this one since it came out well since it was even just like a sneak peek on their website and it is lucinda fraser 1866. now this is the original which was uh done on perforated paper and this is the reproduction i th this row of uh flowers isn't in the original and it does say on the back that they've added those in so you can see on the original it's clipped at the bottom now the thing that i particularly like about this chart is the shape of it is the corners so i will be just stitching just the middle bit there i'm not going to be adding on the bit that they've added on the bottom i prefer it just just without and whilst i have the dye stuff out obviously you can't just buy one piece of linen and i didn't have a piece for this particular sampler so again it's another piece of 38 count this time i've gone for more of a more of a cream but with some [Music] mottling there is a little bit of gray and you can probably see it there there is a little bit of sort of light gray brown mottling through it and i've only ironed these once i need to iron them again um my iron has a tendency to spit so i have to iron them without steam and that requires two or three goes so there's that and then i actually died oh excuse me oh that was a bit too close for everybody wasn't it i actually dyed a third piece just because there was a bit hanging around and this is kind of like a gray width a sort of a grungy that's a seat that's a crease there it's not funny like a gray with like a grungy brown in it as well and that's a 38 count too i don't know quite what i'm gonna do do with that one it's better over there actually there um but you know you don't just die one piece yeah that's just crazy talk crazy talk i think that's it that's it for paul yeah that's enough that's enough for anybody plans plans plans plans um the b-scap sampler if i ever find the book um this came up for me for my whip now thus far wipgo has told me nothing other than which projects to avoid but i've been thinking about this project and getting it back out because i would like to get it finished obviously for halloween and it's quite far along so this is the other piece of the 32 count elixir from x2 designs and this was the stitch along last year see if i've got a picture of it there we go by tiny modernist and it's called halloween ouija so got that to finish off and i would like to get that done it's only got three colors in it so that's going to be an ideal one to get finished and then as part of my monthly orni south as part of hashtag halloween august by the crafty stitchers i think i'm going to pick up another one of these ornaments either quite like that one eye of newt and i've got all the threads from the cat one that i did so either that one or maybe the little bat one of those two the fourth one in that particular pack is creepy crawly and they're all from satsuma street and you can buy the downloads on their etsy shop and then the very last thing to remind you is about the giveaway that i'm going to draw next week which is for this book which is the fella collection of um well it's the book about the fella collection of samplers and inside it is so many beautiful pictures now i am purposely going to choose a picture to show you from the beginning because i had a row from christina from whilst irish naps for showing pictures from later chapters that she hasn't read yet so there we go that's one for more of the beginning so that's a quaker and the other thing that you may not know if you hadn't seen my earlier post or my earlier video about my book um because i showed it is that on the inside cover i'll just try and do it really carefully there are two charts one on the inside cover dust cover when you just take it off but if you were to take the whole thing off and unfold it there's another chart in there and if you haven't seen this giveaway this book is pretty hard to come by often changes hands for quite a lot of money and this one is special because it is signed by both elizabeth and michael feller so if you want to enter for this giveaway you need to go back to flosstube number 39 and watch it work out how it is you've got to enter really really super simple it's just a keyword that you need and you need to be a subscriber but other than that sorry for the chaos today it's been a bit of a hot mess not even necessarily a hot mess just a i mess this is the way it's going to go from now on 42 downhill oh i know i forget something patchwork rabbit i cannot wait to go to the patchwork rabbit the tickets sold out super super quick if i sold out i meant were allocated super quick because they they were free um so yeah if you're going to the patchwork rabbit on the 21st either drop me a message on instagram or comment on this video because i'd love to know who's going um i know heather and steve from crafty stitches are going because they mentioned it i just can't wait i can't wait to just talk stitchy stuff with people it's going to be amazing it's something we all really really need i know carla and catherine are trying to get a stitching room so if possible we'll be able to just have a bit of a stitching retreat as well and and chill out and do that because i know folks some folks are going to be coming from quite a long way away so fingers crossed they can they can sort that out but even if not it's going to be a fantastic day and i really really can't wait so i will see you next week for the next morning briefing um i think i'm gonna have to film it a day or two early again just because i've got uh something on next week i know i know uh this this whole kind of social life things come back into play having been dead for like 18 months i've now got things on um which is good which is really really good so you won't know any different you'll see me next sunday as normal so until then stay classy stitches
