fire it up with his remote control do the lights blade operation forward backwards that's totally cool took him I I said a little over a year to build if it took me a decade running into the guys everybody say hello checking out Lance's score he got him a hey bud amble a nice apprentice nice they're pretty hot today it's about 87 or 88 degrees and it's warm all you guys up north I know we're absolutely huge out here and a lot of people that's why they rent these golf carts we can we can take so I guess why I got you on the horn here let's take a look at some of these ended up getting this big six inch Apple vice right there I think I got a good deal on it so I had to get it got a couple apples the nice read Hartman yeah show him your prize look at that well you have there it's a cast iron piggy bank there you go she was totally happy when she found that score we've been looking we're trying to find something for a B so you enjoying your time big place yep nice and windy out here if we find some more rusty gold who this collection of ice-cream makers this is really cool I'll see this every day well our first day is concluded and we're packing up the truck now I've got all the heavy iron loaded up back here or anvil fines and we got some tools and that guy right there also picked up a nice 60-inch starett scale down there so we're gonna go turn the golf cart back in and then I think we're gonna go meet some of the guys Jim and Keith Mike Lance Justin and Steven I think we're gonna go get some dinner but we're gonna come back out here tomorrow because we got one more day here and probably gonna get some video of like all of the engines and all the steam engines everything else out there we didn't get seated deck all right let's go get some dinner all right guys we made it back to the shop after our visit down to the Florida fly wheeler show and I got my beautiful assistant Abby helping me with the camera today hello and I wanted to go ahead and show you guys what we picked up at the flowerless show because I really didn't get much video I don't think of the the purchases that I made down there and a lot of this stuff like the devices here that I got are things that I picked up for a very good price that I'm using as that I will be flipping most of them that's what I plan on doing is I want to clean some of them up and maybe turn around and sell them at a later time so that's why I picked up what I did so I got several vices here and I was really excited to be able to pick up a lot of these and get them for a good price you know it's what's fun about its it's what's fun about picking is you have these things that you love that you enjoy it's in your mind you know so when you go to event and you're and you're going through things and you're looking and you finally you see that one item that you really really love that you're passionate about you know you get really excited and then you go over there and you start looking at you're like man that's so cool and then then when you can strike a deal with the seller and get it for a really fair price it's just that's what makes it so much fun you know it's a hobby and this right here is part of the hobby of what I like to do out here in the shop so we're gonna show you the things I'll try to run through this stuff pretty quick and let's just go ahead and start with devices what you think absolutely start with devices so I got them all clamped down so I can show you so this guy right here this is a read 103 and a half and it's a really good shake it works great well look at the jaws in here both of the jaws are I won't say they're unused but they have not been used very heavily at all they have a lot of the sharp serrations still left on those jaws right there you come right here and show them that side it's got the font there on the side of the side of the vise so really good somebody's swinging it up a little bit but I actually want to take this thing apart and clean it up really well and get it to where it's not squeaking so that when I really really love that vise right there so show them the the princess so this is apprentice and this is a number 19 and we actually found this at an antique store along the way we stopped at several when we were going down i-75 and I found this an antique store there was one vendor he had several vices and this one I was able to work a really good deal on this thing and it's really beautiful I love the font on this print it spikes right here and this is a rear swivel bike that the rear drops well so this pin which is actually stuck in there right now which is common you can pop these out in this rear jaw moves so that you can you can clamp something that's not completely square all right and then come back around to this side so the way that this one swivels is that you have a pen a spring-loaded pin right here so you pull this pin and you can rotate it kind of like an indexing head you can just drop it back down where you need it that's pretty cool very good and it works real well you know so there's that there's the prints next in line we've actually got three Apple vices right here so that's the first one and which one was this this is the that was the six thirteen and a half six six one three and a half which is the bench mount it doesn't have a swivel and this one is another ones that it's in good shape it's just really rusty it's been sitting for a long time this needs to be cleaned up but it works good all right and then this one right next to it is the six 23 and a half which is the same size as this one except it has the swivel base on it works really well jaws are in really good shape they have a lot of the serrations still left in there and the the lock right here this is what would I really like about some of these Apple vices you have this this lock that you see how easy that lock works right there I like that you can flip it over to the other side so that you can get leverage on it again most vices you know it's a fixed pan that gets in the way so loosen it up and if it's good lock her back in all right so this is the big boy of the score right here this is another Apple bites and this is a 626 so it is a 6-inch why advice and I've already extended it out I've already unload run it out its another vice that's definitely been sitting around a long time it probably sat outside for a walk because it's got a lot of rust on here but it's in good shape it's solid the only thing I found on it was this the bikes handle right here he's got a bend in it which tells me if somebody was using it improperly so I put a cheater pipe or something on there to bend that because you should never be able to bend that with your bare hands but I think this is gonna be a very good solid vise it's it's very tight in there and worked a really good deal on this one right here so just excited to have that that's gonna be a that's gonna be a good vise these are sort of some of the oddities over on this side now this one actually is not mine I picked this up for a friend and this is made by Lewis Tool Company and the size on it is a number of 24 it's got a rear swivel vise so I'm sorry I rear swivel and also I had a lot of guys ask about that and you probably wondered about since we talked about on the apprentice so you can see how the rear swivel works on that this one unfortunately was Luke had lost the pen it was not in there when I picked it up alright but I want to give you an example so this is my number four drift that's used for removing Morse taper sleeves so if you want to clamp this you can see how its tapered so you can take a piece like this and easily clamp a surface that's tapered in that song so that's how the swivel jaws work on vices like that and in this side on this side right here that's got a very unique swivel mechanism on it the lock so you have a as you see this lever it pulls the pin and you move it around and push it back down so you have a series of holes that send this bass lets you lock it in on and that's just super convenient and nice it's awesome I just love that now it's not as it's not quite as rigid as one that's tightened down with a clamp but that is really nice right there it's a nice feature of Louis vise so that's pretty cool and then this is another one that was very unique that I found and I didn't know much about these I've seen a couple around like this but I haven't found where it says it on it but the guy that sold it to me says that this is made by mercury it's a-you know the same mercury is like Anna Marie outboard but it's just a different company so made by mercury and it is a rear rear jaw moving vise alright so you can see there the rear jaw is sliding on it very cool it's got good jaws still in there and it's a flush mount on the on the table so you have a t slot in here and it actually came with a custom falsies or what he that had come with it so you can mount the bolts in there like that draw you a couple holes in the table and have you a nice flush mount advice so that's another cool right there love that thing so besides the mercury my favorite one of the whole score is this guy right here and this is a Hartman vice four and a half so it's got a four and a half inch draw on there so this was my first purchase at the flywheels and when I saw it and I and played with it I was like I got to have this thing so this is a cam lock style of ice right here so you have a lever over here and you just pull the jaw out yeah so you put it where you need and then you press the lever and it actually locks it into place and it just works like lotion it is so smooth so let's just pretend we're going to take this this is one of the other things as they bump sides easy out that I picked up so if you want to clamp that in there you just shove it up there to it push the cam lock and it is locked in there see that so cool ready to take it out pull the pull the leader and remove your piece my favorite vice of the of the whole score my buddy Jim Bollinger tried to buy it from me and there was no way that I was gonna let this one go even I said no yeah you don't wanna let it go either so it's so kind of ugly it looks like a bunch of kids have gotten their hands on it and sprayed some graffiti on it but you know we can wire brush and clean it up I like it that way yeah yes oh you like this first thank you you like the colors on me well she's a very colorful person so happy likes all the colors all right well moving down we got a Prentice Bulldog that is the number five one two and it's already been cleaned up and painted it's just a sweet little vice and I had to have it so pick this one up got a good deal on it I love and then the one next to it there this is a little Colombian Colombian number three and a half and I actually picked up that vice for Abby's dad he is avid a bomb 79 viewer and he's uh he's loving learning what all these tools are and he's never had advice he doesn't never really had a need for a vise and he told Abby he's like I'd like to find me a vise you know they're just cool so we picked this thing up while we were out there I thought that he would like it so me and Abby's gonna clean this thing up probably fix this rod right there where it's gotten mangled and looks like it's got a bunch of rust or something on it and just you know daddy's dead so I have mobile vise and you'll have one that's made in USA a little Columbian so these are the rest of the scores the other things that I picked up at the auction here but besides devices so this is a brown and sharp number seven thirty one indicator holder and the guy that I bought this from I bought one of these from him probably about five years ago whenever I saw him in Moultrie these are excellent tools right there they're very heavy they got these heavy sturdy bases on there and you can tell this one needs a little bit of love needs a little bit of cleaning but the way that they manufactured a machine these clamps on there it's just absolutely beautiful they work really good just to smooth as silk so he had one out there at the show and gave me a great deal on it it actually come with the original metal case right there you can see the brown is sharp on the top so very cool I had to pick it up I just love these things even if I don't hold on to it but I just had to have it I want to clean it up and make it look like a new tool again this was a very nice surface gauge that I got at an antique store and I don't know the make on this there's there's not a makers mark on it so I'm unsure up and make but I will tell you the scriber is razor sharp because I don't poke my finger twice with it and drew some blood so I like this right here paid a couple bucks for it only because I really love the Cleveland twist drill logo and this little wooden box it's got a couple ease outs in there but I just wanted the box for my display cabinet so that's what that's what I got that for very nice mitts a toy a dial indicator that's never been used as far as I'm aware the guy bought it from said he's had it for years and he actually never used it it is a tense indicator and it works just like a brand new one looks just like a new indicator and believe it or not I only paid 20 bucks for it that was a nice score right there all right we got a brown and sharp scriber that's brand new in the box I had to get that and it was a few bucks for that a number seven green fill tap and tap rinse I got this because I actually don't own a number seven so I had to get that nice drift made by Armstrong tools we've got some alligator wrenches right here and these are pretty cool been learning about those through my buddy Andrew our blacksmith tools and how handy they can be on square headed bolts this is a cool adjustable one that I picked up from the same guy I thought that was really neat this is a cool little small little hand operated finger vise German maids it says Germany on there I thought this was pretty neat you can use this to hold small tool bits maybe over on the grinder and this is one of the adjustable Billings bicycle rinses right there that I got and it definitely needs cleaned up it's kind of stuck in there a little bit although I can move it so we need to do a nice clean up on that guy right there alright a couple of a palm-sized easy outs I just got those because these are fun to have I've never never had any that big so we had to pick them up you know nice angle flake I don't know the make on it but that is a there's a very nice little angle plate there and then last couple of guys with these Eagle Oilers this is two styles that I don't already have and good deal for him so picked them up for the collection there so this is the last of our scores for the trip right here and whenever we had left to fly wheelers we stopped at a really really cool antique mall down there and in that antique mall there was some people outside that has some permanent vendors and one of these guys he had a bunch of these machinist wooden tool chests so we picked up three of them and one of these is actually Abby's this guy right here Abbi fell in love with it and she had to have it for herself so she bought this and we're gonna clean this up and turn it into her jewelry box we actually was on the lookout for a nice Gerstner tool chest down fly wheelers and we couldn't find one that we liked they just they just weren't out there so we just we bought past the one that was out there we didn't like the way it look and luckily we found that so we'll go down the road and talk about it we'll start with this guy right here so Abby spotted this and I have never seen one before until now but this is a Lufkin rule company tool chest you can see it on the lock right there it says Lufkin and let's go ahead and open this guy up and they just like your common wooden tool chest this is like a Gerstner don't want you to look down here if you show them show them the maker's mark right there the Lufkin rule company Saginaw Michigan USA I just couldn't believe it whenever I saw that and then you look up here in the top underneath a mirror they've got a brass tag that says Lufkin tools all right you got the mirror up there you got a little clip here so that you can you know hold notes or catalogs or anything like that and so I brought this out just to show you this is one of my Lufkin books right here one of the tool catalogs that a viewer had given me and in this catalog you can actually see it right there if the tool chest so it's a number 381 tool chest and is originally $20 and from what I have discovered this is the only tool chest that Lufkin offered and it was somewhere in the age of between 1935 I believe in 1944 was the only years that these tool chests were offered to believe it was in four separate catalogs so I just wanted to show that really really cool so somebody's already removed the felt out the top of it really dirty so they probably just pulled it out of there but it's an excellent condition all the felts been removed from the drawers it's got the metal ion drawers in the bottom it's got a wooden slides there you go there's still a few tools in that one right there nice little slit and saw so this was super cool unexpected fine to find one of these love control company tool chests so I might have a hard time letting this one go I don't know this might have to stay with the collection unless somebody else decided that they wanted more than I do so pretty cool right there all right so should we show up your tool chest one is the best one of them is an Abbi so at first I was thinking that this was possibly a Gerstner it's uh it's built very similar to a Gerstner but there is some differences there the hardware is a little different and so the best that we can determine is that through the help of Instagram I believe this has made this this is called a star and it was made by the National tool and I believe it was national tool and chest company and I believe they went out of business back like in the sixties maybe so we believe it's a star but it's an excellent condition give them a prompt see you over there all the drawers are in good shape we just need to put some new fill to them the bottoms are made out of wood the one downside that I read about these is that the slides are made out of metal in there which tends to wear the notches in the drawers a little bit more than the other brands but we don't mind that do we we do not mind you're all pretty it is oh it's beautiful it's beautiful shape no tools in it it's been emptied out but we really want to I'm not much of a woodworker myself and I've never restored you know antiques so we're just going to do a light clean-up on this and we'd like to replace the felt in this thing and we're going to try to clean the the wood and I bought some antique restorer that's supposed to work really well in wood so we're probably just going to try that and yeah put some felt in it and a beacon use it for her jewelry can I show my favorite part yeah it's the back alright so in the back you may turn it here yes they're really pretty no the hinges yeah pretty cool huh and somebody was even nice enough to put another lone handle on it so beautiful box there's there should be a mark right here just like the Lumpkin this should have been a logo right here that had star and I had a viewer follow me on Instagram he sent me the images of his so we're gonna see about having my friend Tom Utley make us a new waterslide to go there and somebody had a tag right up here at the top I don't think this was original to the box it was probably a nametag so we're gonna see about making a special nametag for Abby to go right here it's gonna be cool yes all right the last box right here this appears to be a homemade tool chest homemade machines tool chest I like this tag on it right there it's also in really good shape I just think it's a homemade box homemade machinist box this is pretty cool got a KO lead grinders decimal chart in there there's a few other things in there somebody had it was a machinist there are there are still a few tools left in it not a whole lot it's a close fit on the slides on this thing they need to be cleaned up there's there's the junk drawer there's still a few little goodies and there's some stones and that one's empty and we'll pull this one out right there nicely made they've got some corner trim there in the corner of the drawers the bottom of them are sheet metal they're just just like some of the others it's got a wood slides on the inside it's a very nice box just needs a little cleanup little love going on right there so that's going to be this would be one that'll find another home one day there's the original owners name I would assume it's the owner so John and I'm not sure if that's Turk or Church now you say that TIR CH you did a good job on it you got brass handles on it that's it all right guys that's going to be the end of this video right here we really enjoy sharing the little treasures that we found down there in Central Florida on this on this cool adventure at the Florida fly wheelers so we did get another video showing some of the other things so that would be coming out soon as well and just a great opportunity to be able to go down there and I have have a lot of fun see a lot of cool tractors and engines and pick up a few treasures while we're down there all right so we'll see you again real soon [Music]
