okay I'm going to show you how to fix cracks in your tile without having to pull the tile up and replace them if you have tile that's old this tile is 25 years old they don't make it anymore and we had a drought in 2011 and our house split like a ripe tomato all the way through of course right where we walk through all the time I actually had a big chunk come out and so I just couldn't stand seeing this big crack here every time I walked into my kitchen so what you do is this part right here I've already filled it in you fill it in with wood glue wood glue will expand and contract with your house if it you know if it gets dragged in and opens up and then rains and it closes back up the wood glue will help fill it in fill in the big areas it's hard to get into the smaller cracks but this whole big chunk right here was huge it was deep so I just kept putting wood glue in it until it filled it up okay so you need some finger nail polish for me we're not sure you want okay what I'm using is fingernail polish I just happened to walk by fingernail display and saw but this saw this and I'm like hey I wonder I wonder if they'd work on my towel so it's a little dark so I had to get some wipe to mix with it it'll only work on tile that has a glaze finish if you wouldn't want to put it on a porous tile I don't think it would work and I'm not real sure how it would work on rock but heck anything's better than a big old crack through your towel okay so what I do is after the wood glue dries if you have a big crack you just and since your tile is is glazed you don't really have to worry about you know they yeah you know polish not coming off because you just use that polish remover to remove it and then I just have to add a little bit of white okay just mix it up saying you can see that it's starting to kind of blend in with my tile I think I might need a little more white I try not to mix my little brushes up I try to only mix it on the tile that way well I think missing right here you know the colors stay pretty true okay then you just kind of kind of go over it I'm gonna get it in the cracks okay what we'll do is is you let that dry and we'll come back and I'll show you what to do next okay well the other ones drying I have a I have a crack yeah that's chunk knocked out and I'm just have some more fingernail polish over there you know I'm just gonna kind of fill that in drops in there a little bit and then once that dries you get the Faro polish remover and then you just kind of smooth it out okay finger polish has dried so I'm gonna take a cotton swab and I'm gonna put some fingernail polish remover on it and you just kind of lightly go over it will get that spot where I mixed it and it might take a couple of tries to get it to where you're happy with it but you can just keep doing it and doing it it's you're not hurting anything and as you can see it's pretty much it disappeared and I went ahead and did some more over here I make sense just wipe that off and I've also gone over it with real fine sandpaper if it has too much of a sheen on it you can go over it with just a really fine sandpaper and take the sheen off and I ceramic tiles pretty durable let's see pretty much made it invisible okay here's that chip and I've just kind of lightly gone over it and it's not a dark hole anymore it's it's pretty much invisible nobody's gonna notice it if you can keep filling it in to kind of because this one was pretty deep I could go ahead and put more in there and make it even more visible but it's so invisible now that I'm not even gonna bother but good luck with it
