FIX Windows Could Not Start WINDOWS UPDATE Service on Local Computer

hello everyone welcome back to Tech J now while starting the Windows update service from your windows Services you get this error that says Windows could not start the Windows update service on the local computer so this is a very common problem on both Windows 10 and windows 11 so what you will have to do you need to close everything now click on your windows search type CMD right click on command prompt click run as admin click on yes now here we have to run multiple command and all these command you will be getting in the description so copy the First Command of dism paste it and hit the enter key now this command will take some time so you will have to wait and once the command get completed the next one will be Sac space for slash scan now again this will take some time so guys you will have to wait because this command will even fix many kind of other problem so kindly wait until all these command are completed and once this command is also completed uh you'll be getting all the other command that I have created a list so you have to copy them one by one make a right click on the black window paste and hit the enter key once all these command are completed next you have to click on your windows search Type R edit and from the suggestion you have to click on Reg editor click on yes now here from the left hand menu option click on hqy local machine then you have to look for system double click on it then you have to look for current control set double click on it then look for control double click on it in the control on the right hand side you need to make a right click hold up to new click do 32bit value and you have to name it as services say PPE timeout you need to type exactly when I will leave this name in the description you can copy and paste once done you have to make a double click on it and the value data you have to make it to 18 0 0 0 and 0 okay 18 4 * 0 then you have to click on okay now you have to close it now simply go ahead and restart your computer now once the computer get restarted you have to bring up the file explorer click on this PC go to local DC double click on the Windows folder and here you have to look for the software distribution look for software distribution double click on it and here you'll find the data store option right click on it and choose delete in case if you are not able to delete it that's okay you can close it again click on your windows search types Services hit the enter key look for Windows update double click on it now you make sure the startup type has been selected to automatic now start the service so you will now see that the services has been started without any kind of problem all right guys so this is how you can fix the problem of Windows update not updating or not starting and if this work for you guys make sure you hit the like And subscribe to the channel and I see you in the next video bye-bye
