hey guys and welcome back this video is all about fixing the ue4 fatal error unreal engine is exiting due to d3d device being lost so without wasting time let's go ahead and proceed first of all open the run command by pressing the windows r key simultaneously and type here applies dot cpl in this area you need to find a directx software if it is not installed open up your web browser you need to download directx technology click on the download button save it onto your desktop once it is saved go ahead and run the setup or set the terms and conditions and install directx onto the system as it is saying the directx has already installed in my system so if you haven't installed make sure to install directx onto the system and check if you are still getting the error of unreal engine is exiting due to d3d device being lost now if the error is still there let's proceed with the second step right click on the start menu and choose the option device manager over here here first of all you need to expand your display adapter if you find more than one display adapter over here what you need to do is to make sure disable the adapter that you are not going to use by right clicking on it and choose the option disable device once disabled again try to play the game now if you are still getting there of engine is exiting due to the three device being lost in next step right click on your updated driver and choose the option properties choose the driver tab and click on the option update driver choose the second option browse my computer for drivers and again choose second option let me pick from the list of available drivers now choose your latest driver and then click on the next button to continue installing the display drivers into your system now once the drivers are installed close it don't forget to restart your system once you have done this process and you will not encounter the same issue which is unreal engine is exiting due to the three device being lost now if the problem is still there let's proceed with the fourth step simultaneously press windows and r key to open the register editor and type here reg edit and then hit the enter key now here in this address bar you need to paste a command which i'll show you in the description of this video once pasted hit the enter key now in this right pane you need to create two different registries so right click on it and choose the new diver 32-bit value and give it a value tdr delay now in base type choose decimal first and give it a value data as 60 and hit the ok button now again right click new d4 diver 32-bit value and give it a name td rdi delay again open it and again in the base choose the decimal and value data give it a value 60 and hit the ok button now close the registry editor and restart your system and check if you still encountered the same error unreal engine is exiting due to d3 device being lost however if the problem is still there the only option we have is to run your game in windows mode yes sometimes disabling the full screen mode and running the win game in windows mode will fix out the issue of d3 device being lost so this is all about it friends this is how you can fix the ue4 fatal error unreal engine is exiting due to the three device being lost if you are new to this channel i request you to please click on the subscribe button and click on the bell notification icon to continue receiving updates from my channel thank you so much friends thank you for watching
