Fiverr ruined my game.

[Music] hey guys i've been thinking if i'm ever gonna finish this game i'm working on i'm gonna need some help so today i'm gonna take some artwork and ideas that you've put in our discord channel join a discord by the way and i'm gonna outsource that to artists on fiverr to actually make models that we can put in the game i'm thinking i'm gonna choose three different levels of artists like cheap medium expensive and i'm not rich so it's not gonna be super expensive okay and just to clarify each artist will get the same pitch and then at the end of the video we can compare and see who did the best job i don't know i think it's gonna be pretty exciting so stay tuned uh you might be wondering what i'm doing right now well i'm working on coming up with a perfect formula for the episode we designed a boss for the game which i think is really cool and so many of you pitched in with awesome boss ideas so going through our discord let's find some cool stuff that we can commission out to race the stakes a little bit if you know what i mean i'm not allowed to make any changes to the models whatever i get back is going in the game and i'm nervous all right task number punch out okay fair enough we have to make this one as a homage to super punch out man okay you guys really like this idea huh it's pretty fun actually damn it fine okay we'll do it this is crazy how much is this gonna cost me it's gonna be tough [Music] [Applause] man there's so much art you guys are just killing it whoa i'm a little confused but i like it it looks artful oh algorithm juice head however that's going to take me literally 30 seconds to model so we're not going to commission it but i like it well i don't know what i'm looking at but i'm impressed so good job oh viking nice one i like it i like it done i think our roundup is done we've got five things let's take it to fiverr and see what we can find username uh i don't want anyone to know it's me so there we go done what 374 dollars okay you know what budget 10. that's better alright so i spent a couple of hours on fiverr just looking around for suitable artists i ended up with three people one person charged me twenty dollars the next thirty dollars and then we have the last one which charged a hundred dollars so i have huge expectations on this one i put together this pitch in melee note and sent it to each of the artists so everyone is working with the same thing and we have an even playing field all in all i spent almost 200 on this so hopefully we get something good back i didn't really want to look but i think they've all come through it's been so hot here these days it's been really hard to get stuff done man anyways it's cooler now and things are good the good thing is that we found this amazing place to go swimming it's this lake which has there's no beach or there and there's no like road access you have to walk along this overgrown railway track and then eventually you reach this spot where you can just jump into the water and swim out into the lake now the thing is it's really steep here though [Applause] oh my god anyway let me show you what i did during this fiverr time you know the bear we outsourced i figured while i'm waiting let's make a boss out of that bears as a little temporary thing i made this little hat for him whatever it doesn't matter because it's gonna change i figured because he's a bear he hugs right it's a bear hug so he's look at that that's so cool okay so it can go on either one or two ways so either you'll dodge him charging and boom and then he'll like i don't know that's a bug okay i'm gonna fix that don't don't worry about it anyways if you dodge him boom he gets knocked out and now you can like punch him you get an opportunity to punch him or if you're too slow and you don't get out of the way bang and he'll hug you so he's holding you and you're like you gotta like break yourself free like this and then the the fight continues i don't know i thought it was kind of cool and i'm thinking we'll do like a little secret thing that where if you punch him as he's charging right at you it's like an instant knockout for him because he's like just running straight into your hand and that's like a way to maybe unlock some special hidden achievements or something like that remember like earlier in my earlier videos used to be a lot more like you know vloggy segments and stuff like that which i kind of went away from for a while for various reasons like you know we used to live in the city we used to live in vancouver it was just a lot more to film and just a lot more to do it just felt a little bit more exciting to include stuff but since we moved here to the island i haven't really been doing much and you know we came in the winter and if you haven't lived here i don't think you really realize just how much it rains here you can't really go out much during the winter i don't know i just i wasn't sure if it's something that you guys wanted to see lately i've been feeling kind of like i don't know i kind of miss that i feel like it's become a little bit too focused on just the game like i feel like making a game is just so much more than just making a game it's about you know balancing life productivity actually getting things done and um you know just showing the progress of the game i feel like definitely there are some people who do that and i can appreciate that but i also feel like for me personally when i watch like a devlog i really appreciate seeing like the person behind the game as well and just you know seeing how they live what they do i think it may i think i think i think you understand what i mean right but so i've been feeling kind of sad that it's like oh you know kind of miss those days but i've been seeing some comments cropping up saying like that you guys missed the the old videos that included a little bit more of a vlog type of vibe to them so yeah we're bringing back the vlog guys personally i just get bored of videos that are just like first implemented and it just becomes like i don't know unless your game is like being crazy cool like it's like sam hogan's games for example and the way he presents those videos i think are really cool but i don't think anyone else is pulling that off including myself i i got a crutch with a bit of vlog guys why are we in a car yeah good question because well i picked up a new little hobby if you follow me on instagram you probably know where we're going actually it's going to be a little bit of a surprise and here we are to find parking oh i know first world problems huh i don't know where to park my golden vehicle and my diamond shoes are too tight fishing it's really nice you work throughout the day you can punch a bunch get a lot of work done or get some work done and then in the evening you break off you come fishing think about stuff there's only two things you need to go fishing in canada a fishing license and an epic beard hence you guys will let me know when the beer jokes uh get old right strike baby what's up with these tiny ones hey smaller than my dick just two tiny ones i know you've all been waiting for the grand main event you want to check out those fiverr orders and so do i so let's get to it okay please let something be good one guy when i was like placing the order he he said this message like he recognized me just one question are you the real ponte pence from youtube who makes a game damn content and i was i just like no maybe my username wasn't mysterious enough anyways so this one was a total price of 23. okay so i'm talking canadian dollars here boom i mean it's all pretty nice i mean for 23 bucks you can't go wrong with this i'm not a big fan of the bear helmet not gonna lie but i i expected the bear hat and the robot to be the most difficult actually the pants are pretty good i like the pants i'm really hoping somebody got the bear because that is not good all right i'm just going to put them all like this so that we can easily compare next one 36 throw the hat i mean it's kind of hard to tell you need to see a different angle but uh it's all right i guess i don't know it feels i don't know i don't like it i don't like this viking helmet for the outfit i did something different i think it's really funny and interesting okay is this you admitting that you couldn't do the outfit huh you think you can fool me hey a plus for creativity i i can appreciate that oh okay it looks a bit different this guy is a bit creative this looks nothing like the concept art really i don't know if i like it probably not actually i do like the wheels though this looks pretty nice ah whatever okay fine okay cool i feel like kicking back for this outfit though this is not at all what i requested that's a bit weird like why wouldn't you do uh whatever it's fine you can't just make stuff up if i want the costume like whatever let's move on hey now to the main event this one i paid 136 canadian dollars for this one needless to say my expectations are outside of the frame so let's start with the juice hat boom that's not better than any of the others why does the beard look like that it looks like i think that the first one was the best in terms of the the suit all right all right yeah okay why do i get the feeling that they cloned my arms that i did for the character i'm pretty happy with the robot it's i mean it's not 136 bucks but it's um no i'm not happy with it okay viking helmet all right i mean yeah i mean it is what it is right i would have wanted maybe some details here little you know what i mean like something like not even that really okay now please let the wolf be good [Music] why is he all like polygon elated the quality of the 136 is zero better than the other guys i can't put that in the game come on now we have one more shot to save this ship i actually put in a fourth order just in case one of the others fell through i only paid twenty dollars for it but this is our last shot to get something decent here guys one last chance to salvage this mail oh my god all right let's take a look okay this is the hat i mean okay this could work actually it could work this is probably fine okay let's check the let's check the bear let's check the bear helmet i just died look at that oh thank god thank god this is what i'm talking about cartoony looks fun yes okay you just saved my ass dude okay i can't wait to see the rest now man look at that i think this is my favorite too the viking where it's got little knobs the horns look more fun the other ones just look like weird tubes coming out this looks a bit more fun yes definitely a favorite um feel like the first one was better i actually think i prefer the first one i mean i i think it could definitely be used in the game though but i think the first one is probably a little bit better and then we got the robot oh um okay probably the 100 plus dollar robot was the best to be honest like this is just clearly a painted texture and this is what the bear hat looks in the game on the boss i'm really happy with this one i think it looks great i'm gonna be
