First Visit to Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan (Spoilers) | Mario Kart & Food

hey explorers i just want to let you know that this video does contain spoilers of super nintendo world inside universal studios japan so if you want to avoid spoilers i recommend watching one of my other videos i'll put some in the description for you but if you want to see what super nintendo world looks like well let's go we're heading to super nintendo world today universal studios japan and i cannot wait to experience it with you oh my god oh my god hey valkyries my name is chris aka tdr explorer and i help you find the perfect trip to asia and its theme parks it's been a long time coming for super nintendo world here at universal studios japan and i am ecstatic like i said oh my god today we're going to do the mario kart ride yoshi's adventure we're going to try the food and look at the merchandise and just look around and i'm definitely going to get a power band i have to get a power band i got the universal japan app ready to go you have no idea how excited i am oh my god well actually no you probably do you probably do oh my god i'm sure a lot of you are just as excited as me i can't wait to share it all with you today so let's go there's points on the ground coins oh my goodness i can hear coins somewhere so cool look at their outfits outfits are so cute look at the pipe what's that oh i love it behold this [Music] i think these are dates for when games came out [Music] okay we can buy the power bands right here so we're gonna do that i'm gonna buy power up band let's do that [Music] so cute i got yoshi and toad pirate bands look at the packaging that is so cute oh my goodness super nintendo world and we got luigi as well yeah we have all these dates here oh my goodness there it is there it is [Music] oh my goodness there it is super nintendo world [Music] you can buy more power up bands over there ah and we got an area guide oh i cannot wait this is so cool all right let's go in let's go ahead we're gonna get our picture in front of here so we're gonna look at the area guide area map this is the game that you play with your power-up bands some of the food oh my goodness and here's a map of the area yoshi ride mario kart [Music] meet and greet there's a meet and greet and look at the popcorn buckets there's a star popcorn bucket and mario popcorn bucket and food ah this is this is amazing it's amazing that's how you put on the the band it's actually it's hard it's a like a snap bracelet that is so cool i gotta put on mine here we go we're going inside super nintendo world the universal studio japan and i am so excited we're going through the pipe going to the pipe this is so cool hard to see anything look at that this is so cool oh this is a genuine reaction oh my goodness we're in peach's castle [Music] look at that 64. look at this [Music] changes [Music] so [Music] oh oh my god oh my god oh my god [Laughter] oh and there's beach you can meet peach give me princess peach look at it all this is oh this is unbelievable and peach's castle right behind me here too [Music] [Music] we're in line for princess peach you can meet princess peach and she talks she's just over there you go princess beach first back there there she is princess peach i'm genuinely happy right now i'm gonna put on my power up band gonna open it up we're waiting for princess peach it's a little tough to open the struggle bus is real right now there we go the canopio or code in english the rubber is really nice it's really [Music] tough there we go that is so cool i'm gonna pair the power-up band to the app so download the app it's in english and there's super nintendo world and we're gonna do this scan band the back of it oh it was like how does this work oh there's a qr code on the back of it that worked really quick and i select my character i'm going to be i'm going to put my name in japanese i'm going to be chris coote oh that's so cute oh match is the character of my bam that's so cool i'm all set and we can scan another man if we want to collected two stamps perfect okay cool now we're going to go around do i don't know everything i'm i'm overwhelmed right now we met princess peach we got our picture with her and we gotta buy our picture they scanned our band so we're gonna go do that later but there's so much to do there's so much like look at that but we're gonna go to mart we gotta go to mario kart mario kart okay we're gonna try to power up band [Music] that is so cool that is so cool [Music] oh [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] hmm [Music] foreign hey mario kart we're doing mario kart koopas challenge 20 minute wait it's in there it's in there oh going into mario kart look at their outfits there's a cart you can try out also they have single rider pit crew only oh my goodness [Laughter] i i again yeah i have no words this is so cool look at ah that this so cool we're just in the normal queue for this oh look at the garbage cans look at that look at all the detail up there look at that and over here we have the universal cop give us japan cup and all the cups from mario kart that is so cool it's a big queue wow mario you can't go over there yet team koopa that is island life the tales of baby bowser carts through the ages what was that that was a boom [Music] come back oh it's pretty dark in here wow this cue is insane [Laughter] this is so cool really long too i wasn't expecting it to be this long oh what's this oh is that a bomb what's up a bomb oh oh it's a white squish there's a group of people behind me so we've got our visors that we're gonna put on now i'm gonna put this on and then you're tightening it in the back here okay we don't have the goggles yet though we have to wait for that [Music] oh my goodness [Music] what's this we're going downstairs this is so cool going down some more now we're team kopaya [Music] got off the mario kart ride and that was a lot of fun we get you get to do mario kart in real life that is so cool the ar goggles so they snap on to the uh visor thing so they kind of just there's magnus and they just kind of snap on and the ar it's a little like it was a little blurry but you're not moving that quickly and i get motion sick really easily and i didn't get motion sick on that so that that's that's a plus and you drive around and you throw the shells and everything and there's all the different courses and it was just it was just fun a lot of fun the queue was fantastic now is the ride like the best thing absolutely best thing in the world i wouldn't say so but it's still a lot of fun and that's what's important but it's a lot of fun i really enjoyed that we're gonna have to do that again all right we gotta continue on going through super nintendo world here and i found some pikmin over here for some pikmin [Music] that is so cute that is so cute uh look at the bathroom you guys look at this the restroom [Laughter] oh i love that i love that okay i'm hungry we need to eat but we get to meet mario and luigi already met toad we met peach now mario and luigi this is the best day ever this is the best day ever my five-year-old self is just screaming right now inside his heart inside his heart can we talk about mario and luigi's hair like look at that look at that hair how long did that take you to do [Laughter] oh i love that it's super hi mario luigi hi guys hello okay hi oh we're taking a picture thank you meeting mario luigi that was so much fun they were talking but it was a little hard to hear them i was just really loud but they were speaking english i know that their hair though their mustache in their hair that is so well done i just thought it'd be plastic you know like a solid piece of plastic no it looked like it was real that is cool princess peach was the same oh okay now we're going to quinopio's cafe to eat because there's lots of food to try we're gonna go try the food while we wait for canopio's cafe i've collected 206 coins so far today what's his team ranking so i'm team toad ah we're not doing too hot map cool i am 206. i'm ranked 206 all time i am 206. okay yeah make sure you get the app it's in english so it should be in your app store this is cool so cute all right what did i get more coins here's a look at the menu oh my goodness that is a lot yeah let's move king bowser's hamburger steak fish bone mario's bacon cheeseburger luigi's green curry teriyaki chicken superstar rice chef special yoshi's spinach carbonara fire flower spaghetti kid's menu there's drinks and all these desserts princess peach's cake wow there is a lot of food pizza and salad portobello mushroom pizza topped with bacon and vegetables super mushroom pizza bowl with mushroom tomato sauce mushroom soup there's a lot of mushrooms piranha plant caprici salad yoshi's favorite fruit and veggie salad wow there's a lot of food i didn't expect that much i don't know what to get we're just waiting in line and we have toad's explaining stuff to us [Laughter] there's a lot of food to choose from there's a lot more than i thought a lot more okay so we deliberated we had a little bit of a meeting we're gonna go with the teriyaki chicken and superstar rice the yoshi's spinach carbonara the pizza bowl you have to get the pizza bowl like come on it's pizza and then for desserts we're gonna get this the question block tiramisu and the goal whole cake we debated on the princess peach's cake but there's only two of us and that's a big cake oh my goodness oh my goodness look at that look at that look at that that is so cool oh i love it the detail is just phenomenal i love this so much i love it i love it i love it let's look again we're gonna go again we're gonna do a replay what's the damage eight thousand yen here's our number all right hey troy oh hi give her a number okay look at the penguins [Music] hi ito zamas oh we pick up our drinks first okay that is so cute hi ah that is so cute look at that it's huge in here for all the the toads and all the windows [Music] my we're at our table and there's a storm for some reason what's going on go toad go run why aren't you running no you're doing what i would do stand there and gawk yeah there you go bye smart oh oh no go inside not i don't know what they're doing this is a fresh i'm getting frustrated okay we sat down we got our drinks they brought them to us and they're gonna bring our food as well really really cute and there's toads running around on all the screens and stuff it's really cute but we're gonna try the drinks first so there's a couple of drinks we have the lemon squash drink here and a little hard to see but there's stars on here and there's little tapioca balls and i'm notorious for not stirring my drink so i'm gonna stir it before i drink so i don't get called out i get excited and i forget to do things and then we have this lemon no what is this yuzu hot yuzu drink and there's whipped cream and there's a star on there looks fantastic but we're gonna try this first the star the lemon squash drink oh it's really sweet it's just a it's a carbonated lemon drink and i can't get i don't know these little it's like little jelly little jellies i don't know if you can see that little jellies inside it's like jello that's good it's nice and refreshing i love the decorations in here and it's just so oh this is good this is great and we get to eat soon okay we're gonna try this hot yuzu drink with the whipped cream and the superstar cookie i don't know why do i always get the whipped cream drinks i have a beard this is not good all i taste is whipped cream right now let me start up a little bit oh the little stars are candies little hard candies it's hard to taste the user i'd say just a lot of uh whipped cream you can see the yuzu inside there as well but like look at that look at the cup sleeve look at that that is really cute i love that i want to keep this it's just paper though [Music] we're gonna try the yoshi carbonara first i'm looking forward to this it's carbonara i mean if you've had carbonara before this is not a surprise next up chicken teriyaki with the superstar on here it tastes like chicken teriyaki but i want to know what the star rice tastes like like rice pizza bowl we're going to have the pizza bowl okay come on come on come over here come here okay we're gonna pop in we're gonna pop in here look at that look at that oh nope maybe i should have done this with a fork look at that that looks really good look at that look at that there's mushrooms in here and cheese [Music] that is good oh oh this right here this right here everybody look at that okay [Music] this this right here it looks cute it tastes fantastic i just want to like stick my face in me calm down chris it's just food okay now you can get a better look on one seeing what's on the inside here so mushrooms cheese delicious we have two desserts here the first one is this cake the mario coal it's plastic so you can't eat that but there's a star in there i think the star is edible we'll find out there's a raspberry on here and something i'm not sure what this is it's something okay so it's chocolate vanilla and strawberry that's really nice this is really nice a plum yep yep that's a pump chirimisu we got the question block tiramisu got the fire flower coming out of there let's just get into it let's just get into it it's a cookie tiramisu okay it's tiramisu that looks really cute i mean if you like to hear me so you're gonna like this it tastes exactly as advertised the fire flower is white chocolate oh my goodness this is so cute and very echoing here oh i love it i love it oh i love it so much it's yoshi's island [Music] hey what's this what's this oh this is so cool look at this what's this what's this [Music] wow [Music] hey all right design ones it's raining here we go oh it's really outside isn't it [Music] oh we can push the eggs i think [Music] wow that is so cute oh that is so cute yoshi captain toad [Music] tons and tons of merchandise branded t-shirts i love them super nintendo world those are really cool mario kart it's a lot of fun the yoshi rides super cute super cute the merchandise is top notch the food was really good and the theming oh my goodness the theming the theming is fantastic and the meet and greets and doing the power up fans we didn't get to do them as I thought this video captured just how fantastic Super Nintendo World is! I visited 3 times already, and it was truly spectacular. The rides were just ok, but the interactive elements around the park really made up for it!

Is the Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Orlando still happening? Construction on the “Epic Universe” area Universal was building changed from “delayed until 2024” to “delayed indefinitely” in July 2020 due to COVID.
