First Handful of Gold 2021 - Equinox is Back!

[Music] okay guys so finally back at the beach again i think it's been about a month now i had my um equinox 800 sent back to australia for repairs and um unfortunately i'm not sure if you guys can see this um mine lab sent me an equinox 600 back so they sent the wrong replacement which is kind of annoying so i've sent them an email saying um you know send me an 800 controller and um i'm not sending the 600 back because i waited for over a month to get this one anyway guys enough of me babbling so i hope you had a good new year and let's see what we can find i just uh covered about half a kilometer down south all the way along and not one target it's very much sanded in at the moment i can feel it under my feet i'm sinking so um anyway there's um a nice looking dip down here i'm gonna go check that out okay guys first target 13 16. so i'm almost in the cup now so uh while i'm digging this i want to do some shout outs um since i've had no detector i've been watching some uh different channels sorry guys i'm not very good at talking and digging too complicated for me um so uh one channel i really like is new york metal detecting i think that's what it's called or metal detecting nyc uh yep this guy his videos are long but um they're really cool he goes into a lot of um detail about the tactician he's funny as hell and uh very creative with his videos so i recommend giving him a try i'll pop it up pop it up on the screen okay i just got some bling probably silver bling actually um oh there goes my scoop uh also um check out i think it's treasure hunting mermaid uh she's in a similar situation to me she's in um i believe she's american or canadian she's in uh okinawa japan and um yeah really positive energy a really nice channel so i enjoyed watching her and also a shout out to my friend krusty klatt uh he just had double bypass surgery on his heart so okay i got a 20 target here so yeah um crusty clouds in texas and we've been kicking butt lately um well these weights are bad uh he's got an ex-caliber too now and he's getting in the water and yeah he's finding better stuff than um when he was hunting in the dry so check him out uh what do we got there was a 20 target this one's 8-2 let's check it out yeah they're the kind of channels i've been watching lately that's not a good target okay looks like oh it knocked it out [Music] okay guys that was a coin just got smashed out of the um okay let's get going okay this one's not so solid guys um registry in between a two to an eleven i don't think i got it but yeah i missed that one i'll try again when the waves are gone i just had a nice six target over here i don't want to leave it oh there it is yeah this is a nice solid 4 guys don't want to lose this one guys check out this guys okay i'm gonna quickly hide this because there's fisherman behind me hang on yeah i'll show you more of that later guys there's uh there's people behind me oh nice okay okay guys i'm just looking at this chain why no one's around but uh i don't know it's uh says gucci and these are normally fake in vietnam so yeah i'll have to have a closer look when i get back oh actually it was ringing up as a four so that makes you sense find anything on the class actually there could be a stamp i can't really read it but um yeah it had the right um registry but yeah gucci is always fake here they get them from china actually just stamp on that little thing too who knows guys um it did ring up as a paw which indicates gold but that's a nice looking bracelet okay it doesn't feel super heavy but all right let's go to the honey hole okay that's the key okay it's another coin two crusty coins another coin oh there we go it's a kind [Music] oh it's a key okay another coin okay it's just a token that's another key oh yes yeah just uh hunted along these pipes here i only found a few coins and keys uh nothing too good so the better targets were down where the fishermen were but um i was getting tangled up in their lines so i'm gonna um i'm gonna head up north to the honey hole and see how things are down there so um there's some good targets here but they're uh down in the wash i've gotta i've gotta come for a lower tide so anyway maybe the honey hole is still producing let's see before it was a steps and then it just dropped it's like a 12 foot drop so yeah this is um a lot of fans wash back up unfortunately okay there's some oh all right this looks interesting there's some um the pipes are exposed down here now okay let's see what happens here okay sounds like a service target first target in the uh new area i was gonna say the honey hole but it's not really the honey hole honey holes over there oh wow these uh pipes are getting smashed got to be careful down here too because um that's the coin yeah i got to be careful you guys because i can get smashed against these um bricks okay let's get going uh gopro battery is dead i just turned it on because this one's a seven eight target yeah i probably lost that oh hang on i have a feeling there might be more okay maybe that's it okay guys could be gold see if there's a chain somewhere okay i'll turn the camera back on if there's um a chain around here probably won't pick it up first ring of the day for those of you who watch my channel i always find lots of drunk rings but um today's being quiet with rings lots of coins and keys but uh first ring all right let's get going [Music] this one's a neat that's another pendant rinse this one off no one's around try not to drop it oh wow it's a scorpion see guys all these pendants i found around this area they've come off because i'm sure the um the gold chain snap but it's very hard to pick up a gold chain with a metal detector unfortunately and i can see some writing i think it says 10k that's pretty cool anyway guys um yeah targets everywhere but i'm just getting smashed i might go for one more hour because um yeah this gold just gave me an energy bar uh gold buddha this is my first gold buddha pendant this one was ringing up as a a fall man there's got to be lots of gold chains out there guys all right guys so first wrap up of 2021 and um before i start i just want to wish everyone a happy new year and i hope you and your families are safe um okay so yeah first hunt back for the new year and uh this was a brutal hunt guys um probably the most dangerous hunt i've ever done because um the conditions were really rough and i was getting pushed up against the wall so the waves are about three meters at the moment and uh they're very powerful so because of the huge cuts um the waters are smashing right up against the uh sea wall so what i had to do was i had to um find the targets and quickly dig them then drag them back up to the dry sand which um in the areas i was hunting there wasn't a lot of dry sand due to the um the beach erosion but um anyway i did manage to find some good targets so uh let's go through um found lots of coins which um these coins are super old there's um you can see how green they are so uh they've been in there for a long time these are some old targets guys um as always lots of keys but i was trying to avoid the um key targets they normally ring in the high teens into the lower 20s these always sound super good you got to dig these these are um zip pools i don't know why the ocean has so many zip pools in there but anyway um yeah these ring up from six seven eight nine and um yeah they could be um potential gold so you gotta dig them uh what else we got add some trash a couple of small caliber small caliber bullets a little bit of bling um this one tested silver i thought it might have been silver because it's kind of heavy and um it's also uh turned black tarnish and also this silver cross um this tested silver as well i didn't test this little heart pendant so unfortunately i didn't get a lot of this on camera so uh my gopro battery got juiced out with um digging the coins and keys so unfortunately um i missed a lot of the good stuff but so let's start with the fine of the day um definitely this chain uh this is a bracelet sorry and i don't know why i always say gucci but um apparently i've been told this uh symbol is chanel not gucci so my apologies to people who know about brand names um this one is stamp 10k um there's a little um yeah i don't think you'll see it on the gopro but it's stamped 10k on there i thought it could have been fake because there is a lot of fake um brand names in vietnam but um yeah this tested gold um i'll weigh in for you um okay that's not super heavy this one's 4.03 grams so um yeah that was a cool find and to be honest guys i don't know how i found this one i'm not sure if it was a different target that i dug up and uh because when i found this it was just on the surface i didn't even dig so i'm not sure whether i dug it up trying to hunt another target and it was just on the surface there but anyway i'm not complaining sometimes you get lucky um okay so this is a scorpion pendant i didn't check the diamonds on this one yet but i'm guessing they're um they're usually fake uh this one is also stamped 10k and this one weighs in at uh 2.5 2.52 it's growing um and this one's a border pendant i said in the video that this is the first gold wood pendant i found but i think it's not true i think i found one a couple of years ago these are hollow they're not um solid gold but this one weighs 1.1 gram this one tested 18k and this one i wasn't sure about um when i saw it in the scoop i thought it was foil it looked like um gold colored foil but uh when i pulled it out and tested it was ringing up as an eight from memory and anyway i did the gold testing with the acid and this one is um 24 karat this is um pure gold this is just super light 1.28 grams uh but a cool fine nonetheless uh in the beginning of the hunt i was finding no um sorry not coins i was finding no rings which is unusual for my beach those you guys who follow my channel know my beach is full of kids rings so a lot of the families they play in the um are playing the sand and they lose their rings uh so today there's one two three four five six rings and they're all silver except for this one um this one's probably stainless it's um i don't think it's tungsten um okay so that's about it for today's wrap-up um i do have another tool i want to introduce to you and um this is what i call the the rake of doom and we're going to be using this for um scraping chains so we've been out a few times with it this is me and mike my hunting buddy and we're trying to dial it in and you know get it working efficiently so um you can probably see all these lead weights along the top here that's just to weigh it down and at the moment it weighs 15 kilograms which i believe i know 35 pounds it's quite heavy we took it on a test run last night and we didn't find any chains we did find um it hooked a few like um bolts and um some hook type things but um nothing significant but um anyway we're going to keep working on this and hopefully one day we'll feature on the channel okay guys so um once again happy new
