[Music] good morning guys welcome back to the vlog i hope you're having an absolutely great day my day started with a little bit of a different start so andrea got up to go to the bathroom she's walking through she's like oh my god there's somebody in the yard she ducks down because well she was naked and i look out the window and there's a guy with black pants and a black hoodie walking through my yard well let's just say i went from zero to a hundred just like that tore through the house grabbed a coat still in my underwear thank god i wore underwear last night because otherwise i would have been naked and as i sling the door open ready to go kick some ass in my bare feet it's my neighbor so that's my neighbor's kid i guess i got some horses the horses got out they were in our field his eyes were as big as golf balls or bigger and i don't know i guess a middle-aged overweight man running through the house in a rage half-naked kind of um shocked him needed to say almost as much as i was shocked so let's just say if someone comes around my house in the middle of the night and i see you in my yard it's go time so yeah that was the start to my day and uh you know what i was in a bit of a funk yesterday and uh had a crappy start to friday and you know what there's a few things and and yeah i'm kind of grumpy today here's kenny check him out in all his glory this um foot valve scenario is taking way too long um you know what we're going to get it going i'm going to get the foot valve in we're gonna uh get this baby fired up with the new oil and i'm gonna take her for a rip down the road if the suspension falls apart well the suspension falls apart um no seriously though these shock towers are are loose but um whatever i'm gonna drive this bugger and uh get this foot valve in because you know what the problem with kenny being dead where she sits he said sorry kenny is a he i'm gonna get this foot valve back in actually first i'm going to turn some oh i did already turn that light on i'm going to turn this light on um i've got my uh treadle valve here i've got my foot pedal all all mac daddied up um i didn't really mention it in my last video but i fixed both pins i was gonna put it back in with this pin just rusted but that wouldn't be right um that would be a lazy man's way of doing it not saying i'm not lazy but if it takes me 10 years to do this it's going to take me 10 years to do this you know what if i drive around looking like a rat rod clap box for a bit if that's what it is for a couple years that's what we're going to do because one day it'll be the bj and the bear track or maybe i'll have another k-100 because i did find one it might have a better cap but it has no engine but enough of that i will have a bj in the bear truck that's what's gonna happen with this one this one's special i know the history of it i know the family that had it we're bringing it back to life it's been saved from death back in 90 97 i think it was talked to the previous owner and um he was telling me all the stuff that they did with it um he fixed it up did a pile of work got her all mack daddied out and he put in the auction right after 911 and back then of course we didn't have internet bidding with uh 911 you couldn't fly so it kind of really took a took a beating in the auction it sold for i think it was 17 000 back in when was 9 11 was that 2001 um but anyways um yeah so he lost a pile of money it's a bit of a sore spot which i totally understand because it happened to us when we shut down things back in uh 1991 i think it was put our low bed in the auction started snowing everybody's like ah low beds go high and uh guess what because nobody was there didn't go high um but we did really well on our trucks because you know what we like to keep our our stuff nice anyways enough of me talking it's all about kenny today i got a wire wheel gonna take the name off the door started here a little bit to play with it um and when i say wire wheel i mean the deckle remover wheel um i got some peterbilt mirror arms from work these are my standard um 367 389 mirror arms and you know what they fit they're like a half an inch different so i just gave them a pull apart you'd be amazed at how tough these mirror arms to try and bend but um but yeah gave this one a test fit it fits so we're putting those on i got a couple of brand new trp mirrors these are the mirror arms that i bought for it which are like uh old school peterbilt mirrors and guess what these are definitely too small i should have gave sean our parts manager a little more information so i put it up here and i was thinking oh yeah the old school ones that fit yeah they don't but if anyone's out there they've got what is it a peterbilt with door mounted mirrors and you need a set of these i'll hook you up make you a good deal yeah if you need these let me know and i'll make someone a good deal on them because um you know what we got to help each other out but so these are the mirror arms that don't fit got some trp uh heated mirrors i got the angled or the ones with the offset bracket because i don't like them covering part of the mirror i don't know if it's gonna work on the passenger side but we're gonna give it a whirl i got some marker lights for the side i've got uh the lighted mirrors because you know what i like collided mirrors so anyways guys i gotta get my coveralls on let's get to this all right we're all covered up okay here's my hole god there's a lot of dirt some silicone what a bloody mess putting some never seas on these guys so that uh next time it comes out it'll come apart easy there i'll go underneath and do them up using nylocks on these anybody cares oh dear this is where the long arms are gonna come into play trick put your washer on and put a little pressure to the side so it holds your bolt so you can put your nut on there let's zip that up with the impact there well being by myself i need to try and put this in there and this over here this is an idea that i just came up with so okay will it work let's find out huh and just like that it's in tough as nails so now we can start hooking the lines back up actually you know what i'm going to do put a little never seas on these back in the day what i did a lot of working in the shop you put never seas on brass fittings and uh just means you're gonna be able to get it undone again one day ouch you don't have to go crazy with it but just need to have some i'll put a little on there too this means you'll be able to get it off one day in case this uh ever comes apart again also goes on easier lubricate the [Music] threads [Music] [Music] [Music] all righty that looks good all the fittings are tight except for that one that's loose which is a little annoying but you know what i'm going to uh yeah i don't like that i'm gonna fix that first i um yeah i was gonna try it and just fix if it had no air leak afterwards but you know what i'll just tighten up that uh that fitting and i got uh i got the base plate for the foot pedal in the floor so i'm just gonna do that i'm also gonna take this cap off the fuel tank because this has clearly been on for a long time and it's kind of pooched so i'm going to get this off and just see what's in this tank i think there's a crossover line so i don't know i'll take a look but i want to do those things before i um lower the cab down and then we'll fire up sticker outside let her warm up get up to temperature and hopefully we'll have some breaks so we can uh maybe take it for a little drive down the road and see how it shifts so anyways stay tuned [Music] all right take a look at this it's there so we're gonna put the put the petal on here's the little rubber knob that fits in there i should have put this on before i put it on there we go rubber nub is on i've got my shaft already as carpet is toast [Music] yeah carpet is toast stick this in here look at that look at that actually never seized the cotter pin too but i put the pedal together and then realized that hey i gotta take the pedal apart to get these bolts in hear that guys [Music] throttle pedal's still a little sticky i'll have to get uh that lubed up but it moves frick yeah baby there we go turn this around there [Music] frick yeah son of a gun it's one happy mic [Applause] put my ratty carpet back because why not why not he says oh it's disgusting but get it out of the way of being in my feet there maybe give this a quick vacuum and uh we're back in business boys back in [Music] business [Music] so [Applause] [Music] so [Music] [Music] okay let's give her a whirl i think we're in neutral let's try it again oh yeah haha my brakes work sorry it's just the little things in [Music] life wow when i ram it up the oil pressure goes right up to 80 pounds let's just warm her up for a little bit so this throttle's a little sticky [Applause] [Music] so [Applause] [Music] foreign there we go so [Music] yeehaw so uh so ah [Music] [Music] [Music] oops good so [Applause] [Applause] do so [Applause] so [Applause] [Music] [Applause] so [Music] i don't know guys i'm questioning whether the turbo's working i should probably pull that intake pipe off and check it out but anyways that's what we'll do he's breathing cleaner now run a little smoother [Applause] so one of the things i'm going to do i'm going to uh take the names off the door and we're going to adjust this rear of course the convex is too low so i'm going to fix that so i can see you know it actually doesn't drive bad it shifts not bad it's sticky and a little bit wishy-washy but considering it hasn't moved in almost 10 years that's probably not a probably not a big deal i might try and uh clean it up a little bit more this afternoon but uh you know what check it out all the temperatures are up to up to stuff so we got uh 120 psi 120 psi uh of course fuel filter gauge doesn't work i think this fuel filter restriction gauge works though i rev it up see it move um oil pressure seems i don't know it seems low to me 10 pounds at idle granted who knows if the gauge works um when i rev it up to 2000 rpm we're 35 40 psi water temperature is 180 degrees pyrometers at a thousand a little bit of a draw on the amp heater it looks like it is charging not a whole bunch but but it is so i might see if i can
