Well I'm Oscar, I'm an octopus and I know all about sharks. Like did you know that if a shark's tooth falls out, a new one will grow in its place? - Uh, does the new grow even sharper? Do you have super sharp teeth? Let me see, let me see! (Finny chuckles nervously) (eerie music) (Myrtle gasps) - Hello everyone. My name is Mister Magellan. I'll be your teacher this year. You're about to learn so many new things. Come along to our classroom. - Wait for me. Wait for me. - Everybody find a desk. First things first, we're gonna get to know each other better by drawing some of our favorite things. Like this. My favorite thing is called a telescope. I love to take my telescope up to the surface where I can use it to look at all the stars. - I love it. - Wow! - Wonderful. - Cool. - Uh, the surface. - Now, grab some crayons. I want each of you to draw one of your favorite things. (light music) - Hm. Ah-ha! ♪ Doo-Doo-Doo-Doo-Doo-Doo-Doo-Doo ♪ - Okay, is everyone done? - Yeah! - Yes, I am! - Just one more second and done! - Now, everyone put your drawings on the wall so we can all see them. - Aren't you going to put up your drawing, Myrtle? - Hm... - Wow, look at all these nice drawings! Who wants to start? - Me, me, me! I drew a library because you can learn lots and lots of neat things at the library. - Good one, Oscar. Libraries have books about all sorts of interesting things. And what about your favorite thing, Leo? - I drew my pet clam Clampy. He's shiny and beautiful and I love him so much. - Great drawing, Leo! I'm sure you take very good care of Clampy. Sammy, it's your turn. - Great, great, great 'cause I drew a dinosaur with very, very, very sharp teeth! I like dinosaurs because they are big and scary and growl really loud like this (growling). (Finny giggles) - Okay, okay, calm down, Sammy. Finny, you're next. - Oh, hm... (exhales sharply) Okay, I drew my favorite superhero Wonder Shark. I like her because she's very brave and helps all the fish in need. - Well done, Finny. - Oh! - Wonder Shark is wonderful. - I like Wonder Shark. - Okay, who's next? Myrtle? Myrtle? Where's Myrtle? - Myrtle, are you nervous? Because I was too but then I just took a deep breath (inhales deeply) (exhales sharply) and I wasn't as nervous. - Are you sure? Okay, I drew my favorite Teddy Merbear. My grandpa gave him to me for my birthday. He's a very good Teddy. - Adorable! - Oh that's so cute! - Oh that's so good. - Nice drawing. - Everyone loves your drawing, Myrtle. - (chuckles) I guess I just need to come out of my shell a little more. (both giggling) (bubbles gurgling) (bell dinging) (all chattering) - Myrtle, over here! - Hey guys, can I sit with you? - Yeah, of course! - Neat! - Uh I like your Wonder Shark lunchbox, Finny! - Thanks, Sammy. I like your lunchbox too. - Yeah, it has dinosaurs on it (grows). (Finny laughs) - Uh, everyone's lunch looks so yummy. - Mine definitely is. It's a salad and my dad says salad is smart food so I eat a lot of it, you know, so I can be smarterer, I mean smarter. - Oh, hm, I almost forgot. I brought some muffins that my and my grandma baked. You can all have some. - Wow, thanks, Myrtle! - You're the best, Myrtle! - Oh, thanks! - Oh yummy muffins. (bell dinging) - Did you have a nice lunch, everyone? - Yeah! - Yes! - I'm still hungry! - Fantastic! Now for our next lesson, we're gonna learn how to count to 10. - Oh, oh, I already know how to count to 10. One, two, three, seven, four? Eight? Okay, I'm listening. - Nice try, Oscar. Let's play a game. Shelly, look around the classroom and tell me what do you see one of? - Hm, hm, let me see here. I see one whale! - Ah-ha yes! I'm the only whale here! Okay, one whale. Next, what do you see two of, Leo? - Uh, I see two claws on Chloe the Crab. - (chuckles) Okay, I see three desks! - [All] Uh! - There are three desks. - I see four legs on Myrtle the Turtle. - Wait, doesn't Myrtle have five legs? - That's not a leg, that's my tail. Uh, I see five arms on Sandy the Starfish. - [Mister Magellan] One, two, three, four, five! - (chuckles) I see six drapes on Fiona. - [Mister Magellan] One, two, three, four, five, six! - (chuckles) I see seven shells on the ceiling. - [All] Oh! - Good one, Fiona! One, two, three, four, five, six, seven! - I see eight arms on Oscar. - [Mister Magellan] One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight! - Uh, I see nine spots on Shelly's shell. - [Mister Magellan] One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine! - Huh, there are nine spots. - Well, we are all really great with our numbers. Now, can anyone tell me what we see 10 of? - Hmm. - Hmm. - I don't know, 10? - Hmm. - So many. - Hm. - Wait, I know, there are one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, 10 of us! - Great counting, Finny! There are 10 of us. - Yay. - Yay! - We did it! - Woo hoo! (bell dinging) - Oh, looks like that's it for today, class! I'll see you all tomorrow. - Bye Mister Magellan! - Bye Mister Magellan! - Bye! (bubbles gurgling) - That was fun guys. - Wow! - See you tomorrow. - This was the best day ever. - So much fun. (pet barking) - Hey, Finny, over here! Time to go home! - [All] Ohw! - Already, Poppa? - Don't worry, you'll see your teacher and all your next friends again tomorrow. - Oh yeah, okay.
