fire Mage revolves around tracking big cooldowns and dealing guaranteed critical strikes with our big damage dealers and I am going to teach it to you today with no information overload in a beginner friendly manner I always advise with the stat priority that you do prioritize eye level and therefore intellect over all of the secondary stats so getting a higher and higher eye level of gear is always going to be top priority when it comes to gearing however if we do want to look a little bit deeper into the secondary stat priority this here is what I recommend now I did say at the start of this video that we do revolve heavily on dealing guaranteed critical strikes with our spells so you may be wondering then why is Critical Strike so far down on the priority list well it's actually kind of a symbiotic relationship that causes this you might think that we actually need crit strike so we can do those guaranteed ones but it's actually the opposite we actually don't really need much crit because most of the time we are going to be guaranteed it now we do still want some however hence needing it of course because we're not always going to be guaranteed crits and if this sounds confusing well that is exactly why I say to always go for higher and higher eye level and don't worry too much about the secondary stats if you are worried about your secondary stats it's likely that you already know how to sim your character to find out what is best for you if you don't however feel free to join my Discord where we can help you out with that for the actual talent trees we're taking I've got this one on the left here for single Target and therefore raiding and this one on the right hand side is for Mythic plus and AOE or area of effect builds where we can hit multiple different enemies at once I won't go through every single individual talent I don't want to overwhelm you with information but I will put an import string in the description for both of these builds and we will be talking about the core and important talents that we are choosing but before we get into all that let's look at the really important spells which are our cooldown first up on the top here we have ice cold interesting for fire I know but this is a damage reduction and healing spell we can use to reduce damage and heal funnily enough then we've got on the middle combustion this spell is actually the main cool down of the fire rotation and is really really important huge combat increases there's that 100% crit chance we spoke about and you get more Mastery etc etc more on that soon greater invisibility on the top right here losing any threet that we may have and makes us untargetable and we're also going to take 60% less damage when this is active this is really good if we accidentally pull something or the we take aggro off of the tank Etc on the bottom we've got time warp this is our heroism or blood lust if you're not sure what those are it's a really big party and grade wide cooldown we can use on a 10-minute cool down where we can actually massively increase the haste of our parties and it is the single most important cool down in the game for parties and raids we then have Mirror Image another defensive it's going to summon mirror images that are going to attack for you but don't be fooled this is actually a defensive and it's actually going to reduce your damage taken we do of course have some interesting utility spells that we should look at as well polymorph where you can actually polymorph an enemy into a sheep or other creature and therefore incapacitating it and rendering it useless for a short well actually quite a long amount of time Arcane intellect buffing your entire party or raids intellect counter spell this is our kick otherwise known as an interrupt this is the Mages specific interrupt and this will be used to interrupt spellcasting on your enemies and this is also very important if you are a beginner to fire or wow it's s then you should be very aware that you are required interrupting your enemy spellcasting whenever possible it's going to be really really useful to your party or Raid to do this and lastly blink where we're going to Blink and teleport forward getting us in or out of danger or just getting us on the way faster than we need to be or faster than we were going should I say basically we're going from A to B okay we're going to Blink and teleport into another Direction so now that we're in the game I first want to show you my UI yes it's all very nice I made it myself custom made using an add-on called lvi if you would like to get my UI you can import it straight into your game including all of the other add-ons that I've customized for it and to get that you can join my patreon link Down Below in the description for that I will say hate having to do this little sales pitch but hey ho got to pay the bills that I do actually only do this in my spare time so it also does really help support and finance the creation of these videos and is really really appreciated so if you do like my UI cuz I do get a lot of comments saying they like it um then that is how you can get this and I can also assist if you need to actually you know need help installing it Etc so that's my UI and there's also this in the middle which isn't from me um but I can help you install it again if you need to just join the Discord for that this is a we AA add-on and this specific we AA is by Lux fos and it's the Mage Lux fos week AA it's actually in the description and this is actually basically just putting all of your cooldowns and resources in one central place in your screen you can see here we've got free charges of this spell and this spell that's what you can see here with these bars and you can also see all of your cool Downs Etc Mages and especially fire Mages are really reliant on tracking their cooldowns and Buffs really is necessary for fire and if you don't have a good way of tracking your cooldowns and Buffs as fire then you're going to really struggle with this rotation so here at the main spells we're going to be using I'm going to start off with single Target and then explain the differences for Mythic plus and AOE so I've already spoken briefly about combustion it's on a 2-minute coold down engulfs you in Flames for 12 seconds increasing your Spell's Critical Strike Chance by a 100% And therefore you are guaranteed that all of your spells are actually going to be critical strikes when you use this cool down and granting you Mastery equal to 75% of your Critical Strike stat castable while casting other spells when you activate combustion you're also going to gain 6% Critical Strike damage and up to four NE by allies gain a little bit of crit strike as well so tldr then it's going to increase your Mastery by your crit it's going to give you guaranteed crit and it's going to give your allies a little bit of crit chance as well so we spoke about Mastery there but what is the fire mage's Mastery here it is it's ignite your target Burns for an additional percent of damage over 9 seconds for the total direct damage caused by your Fireball fire blast Scorch etc etc these are all of our main spells so our Target is going to burn for a DOT or damage over time spell over a period of time when we use our other damaging abilities it's also going to have a small chance of reducing the cool down on our fire blast and using our fire blast is going to spread that ignite to other enemies in the area for example if you're in Mythic plus this is our fire blast here I know it may be sounding confusing already but remember this is all passively happening so you don't really need to worry about this happening too much it's all going to be wrapped into the rotation I'm going to show you so remember then that this is going to guarantee Critical Strike that's the main so let's actually have a look at the rotation first up we have Phoenix Flames here hurling a phoenix let's see in action oh there it goes um dealing fire damage to the Target and reduced damage to other nearby enemies this one always deals a Critical Strike the two and four set tier set bonus from this season is actually going to benefit your Phoenix Flames where we put something called charring Embers onto our enemy again it's going to be happening passively you don't need to worry too much about it but we do want to be using that Phoenix Flames to keep up the charring Embers buff on our enemies at all time and we do have free charges of it you also never want to let it cap out at free charges what you're going to see here is that it's on the rotation twice when we in combustion here when we're in that window of always dealing a Critical Strike these 1 2 3 4 5 six these six spells are going to be our combustion window rotation and then you can see Phoenix flam starting again here these 1 2 3 4 5 six spells here is going to be our out of combustion rotation if you're a beginner and you find that confusing cuz you're technically going I'm prioritizing these spells in combustion and I'm prioritizing these spells out of combustion I would actually advise to set up your action bar like mine is here and then remember that Phoenix Flames is always the start so if I use my combustion we're now in that combustion window and we want to use this uh priority list and then if we're out of it we're going to use this one so you you're going to know when you're in your combustion obviously so if you just think right Phoenix Flames is always the first one so you know where it's kind of starting that might help you remember it so we're going to start off properly over here outside of combustion so if combustion is not ready we're going to use our Phoenix Flames as we've just discussed and then you've seen here that I've got this buff remember Phoenix Flames always crits and when you get a crit you're actually going to get something called heating up and then hot streak if we look at our spell book we can see this passive ability here hot streak getting two direct damage critical strikes in a row with fire spells will make your your next pyro blast or flame strike single Target versus AOE instant cast and cause double the normal ignite damage and that's from your Mastery remember so the first buff we're going to get and we're going to use this weak or here to see it is heating up so we use Fenix flames it's a guaranteed crit we now have this buff here heating up meaning we've got one out of the two crits to get a hot streak so we use our first one we've got heating up we then get another Critical Strike and it changes to hot streight our next pyro blast as you can see here instant cast and does more ignite and F for Mastery damage so what is pyroblast has immense fiery Boulder that causes damage py blast's initial damage is increased by 4% when the target is above 70% health or below 30% health and normally you can see here it's a 2.8 second cast that is really long however when we've got the hot streak buff it's instant and again that's from getting two critical strikes so we get one Critical Strike we're heating up we get a second Critical Strike we're now guaranteed an instant pyro blast what you're going to notice here on my we or as well is this little buff with a number one over it so every time you use your instant pyro blast you get another stack of this and if we just get one crit and then if we get another crit you can now see I've got two stacks of this buff if I use another instant pyro blast I've now got three stacks of this buff and you can see that every time I get that instant pyrro blast I'm getting another one of those stacks and this is called Sun King's blessing after consuming eight hot streaks so you can see remember we've so far consumed three so again you get a Critical Strike and therefore get heating up you get another Critical Strike and you get a hot streak granting you an instant pyro blast using that instant py blast grants you one stack of sun King's blessing eight Stacks this is when it comes into the full effect after consuming eight hot streaks and therefore eight free pyro instant pyro blasts you're next non-instant py blast cast within 30 seconds grants you combustion that's our big cool down for six seconds and Deals 260% additional damage so basically once you've used eight instant pyro blasts you then want to use a non-instant one like this and that's going to do gargant amounts of damage and also put you into a combustion Window 8 is it 8 seconds soorry 6 seconds it's going to put you into it for 6 seconds so just a cap then so far we're going to use our Phoenix Flames keeping up the charring Embers debuff on our enemies that's from our tier set this season don't let these cap Etc and they do also actually guarantee crits when we get two crits we're going to get hot streak we're going to then use that hot streak on our instant py blast so whenever your py blast lights up use it once we've done that eight times and we get the Sun Kings Bluff buff Sun King's blessing buff we're then going to use a non-instant pyro blast so an actual castable one to then go into combustion for six seconds once we're in our combustion we're then going to follow this priority if you're wondering what this spell is Shifting power this basically reduces our cool Downs by a little bit and therefore we want to use this on cool down to reduce the cool down of our combustion you can see here while channeling your major ability cooldowns reduced by 12 seconds over 3.2 seconds so we use this on coold down so that we can get into another combustion quicker and therefore reducing the cooldown on combustion now if we've used our Phoenix Flames we've used our shifting power IM we're imagining of course combustion is on cool down at this point and we're using our instant pyro blasts next up is going to be fire blast blasting the enemy of fire damage cast a ball while casting other spells and it always deals a Critical Strike as well we're going to use these to generate hot streaks of course and then if the target is below 30% Health we're going to use Scorch Scorch is an enemy for fire damage castable while moving Scorch critical strikes increase your movement speed um one thing to mention about Scorch is that Scorch deals 175% increase damage and is guaranteed crit when the target is below 30% health so if the target is below 30% Health use your Scorch if it's not then just use Fireball THS a fireball each time your Fireball fails to critically strike it gains a stacking 10% increased Critical Strike chance and that effect ends when Fireball critically strikes so we're going to recap the out of combustion price priority we're going to use our Phoenix Flames again we're always trying to get hot streaks we've got one here using eight hot streaks so use your Phoenix Flames use your shifting power to help get your combustion off coold down use your instant P blasts when we get the hot streaks use your fire blasts getting of course more hot streaks if the enemy is below 30% Health you scorch otherwise use Fireball remember Fireball is going to increasingly get a chance to do a crit until it you know does crit once we've used eight instant pyro blasts we are going to use a non-instant one so you can see here I've got seven stacks of sun King's blessing and now I'm going to use my eighth one and boom you can see the icon has totally changed and now we have Sun King's blessing so we're going to we're going to use that sun King's Blessing by casting py blast and then you can see that we've got combustion for a few seconds and that is then we're going to when we're going to go into our combustion rotation so again always use your Phoenix Flames if we're in combustion because of our sun King's blessing then of course we're going to skip combustion and we're going to use our Fireball if combustion isn't on then use it on cool down and then we're going to use our fire blasts again to get instant pyro blasts and then we're going to use Scorch and Fireball as per how I was speaking before so it depends on their health so again if we're using the combustion cool down or we've gone into it through sun King's blessing we're going to again be using our Phoenix Flames we're going to be using our instant py blasts using our Fireballs using our fire blasts on cool down and if the enemy is below 30% Health using our Scorch and that is pretty much it for the rotation so although it seems really complex when you actually get into it you realize it's not so let's just go over it all together one more time we're going to use our Phoenix Flames we're always trying to get these hot streaks for our instant py blast we're going to use our shifting power on cool down to reduce our combustion coold down we're going to use any instant P blasts use our fire blasts to get instant py blasts if we can't use any of that then we are going to use Fireball if the enemy is above 30% health and Scorch if it's below 30% Health once we've got eight Stacks as you can see here we're in Sun King's blessing we can then use a castable py blast to go into um combustion where we then want to basically do the same rotation as fast as we can to get loads of instant and really damaging pyro blasts out so again once we're in combustion same thing use your Phoenix Flames use your fire blast and Fireballs to get the instant py blasts as you can see here I'm getting loads of them look it's crazy cuz remember in combustion everything is a crit everything is guaranteed crit and that's it it is such a fun rotation I'm going to show you a few important talents that I also want you to be aware of so when we have our Mastery ignite damage this has a chance to reduce the cool down of fire blast be aware of that when ignit is on free or fewer enemies it can flare up doing additional damage and if you haven't cast Fireball within the last 8 seconds this is quite an important one your next Fireball is actually going to deal 70% increased damage with a 20% reduced cast time if you have not cast Fireball for 8 seconds remember so you need you need to make sure you're kind of rotating it that's why it's here but then also using our fire blast and you can try and keep that in your mind when you're using your um Fireballs so I think I said fire blast there Fireball can't actually read Fireball so like I said you do need to keep that in mind when you're using your Fireballs but as a beginner I really would just say to try and get the core rotation of your heating up and hot streaks your Instant Power blasts and your Sun Kings blessing and combustion rotation down before thinking about too many things and I like to think of it as like building blocks like right I'm going to focus on using my instant power blast and getting my sun King's blessing then I'm going to focus on learning the combustion part of it and and kind of just add to the rotation as you go along and learn more and more you don't have to pressure yourself into learning absolutely everything all at once and it could overwhelm you and then you'll end up not actually having fun which of course is the goal of the game and that's why I always try and teach these in this manner because I don't want people to get overly pressured or you know feel like oh my God it's all just so much like just do some lower difficulty content learn one part then come back to this video if you need to learn the other part and eventually put it all together like a jigsaw puzzle so if we want to then move on to to AOE you can see there's not many talents really changing um and I'm going to kind of explain the rotation so so stay with the same rotation there's just going to be a few core things that I want you to change so you're going to notice that some of the talents we've got are down here the main ones that changed and that's to do with flame strike flame strike and py blast cast times are reduced damage increased I think we already had that one flame strike has a chance equal to 100% of your spell Critical Strike chance to build up a hot streak and then flame strike leaves behind a patch of flames that burns enemies within it for an amount of fire damage over 8 seconds and then enemies damaged by Flame patch have a 5% chance to erupt into a living bomb and do tons of damage so if you're wondering what that's all about then ignore all this basically this is this spell here flame strike and this is a placeable one that you can cast and voila there's that huge flame strike and the flame patch that's of course going to do AOE damage when you're in your combustion I want you as a top priority to use your Phoenix flame still and then use this spell meteor so I'm just going to pull this up here meteor calls down a meteor as you just saw which lands at the Target location after 3 seconds dealing fire damage to All Enemies hit reduced Beyond eight targets and burns the ground dealing fire damage over 8 seconds to all enemies in the area so use that as a priority when you're in combustion and then rather than Fireball use U flame strike when you're in combustion as well and then again when you're outside of combustion basically what you're going to do is just change your pyro Blast for flame strike and it's pretty much the same in combustion just think of it as basically flame strike goes there rather than py blast um and that's all I really want you to change for single Target versus AOE of course paired with your meteor when you're in combustion and that is pretty much it guys you have learned how to play fire Mage in season 4 of dragonfly hopefully this was digestible it's it's not the simplest thing to understand um just to recap it tldr you know get your Phoenix Flames up use your fire blasts to get your instant pyro blasts once you've used eight of them and you go into Sun Kings then you use a a castable drawn out long pyro blast to go into combustion for a few seconds and then you basically continue the same rotation using Scorch under 30% health and Fireball when the enem is above 30% Health as your kind of filler spell if you can't use your fire blast or Phoenix Flames cuz you know they only have a certain amount of charges and using shifting power to reduce the cool down of your combustion in AOE use your meteoron coold down in combustion and use your flame strike instead of your pyrro blast you are going to notice remember that it is also instant so it's the same way it is actually instant as you can see there so you're just swapping out one spell for another good luck and if you are looking for other specs this season and you want guides for them I have actually done them you can just click this playlist here and see them all ready and waiting for you and if you do need any help again please do just join the Discord we've got a really beginner friendly Community or you can join my patreon to get a load of other resources and my UI Etc and support the channel of course
