Find an air leak in your swimming pool.

take a look at this first part if it wasn't for all the noise of motor you wouldn't even know it's running there's absolutely nothing moving inside this list short of the handles bouncing around just ahead have anything but 100 percent over the hill people anymore water not a lick there we look at this next clock this is a pump Cabot egg it's got a ton of air in it I'm going to show you a quick and easy way to find where an air leak is coming from wide as we can get to assuming it's above the ground just take a garden hose steady stream of water the neck be terribly forceful we're going to start at the bottom where the plug is and work our way up on the front side of the pump you check the lid you check the gasket intake everything it's on the suction side of the system which is from here back towards the pool now I'm going to start the very bottom just because that makes sense grandma takes everything down and lo and behold the drain plug on the front of this pump is loose you see the air is taken away by the substitution of water so now we have all water and no air remove the water we have a suction link in turn the water boom all the air is gone that wouldn't work anywhere now the reason we stopped at the bottom to show you something if we flood this joint eventually we get enough water down around that bug where we start fooling ourselves and think it is a little high so you want to start low and then move up you're about 15 20 seconds to see results on each spot you can check everything and check a union you can check glue joints you can actually come back and check the entire lid for a little crack that you can't see we find them like that not too terribly often but this is an easy way to determine the suction side leak without having to call it well me hope this helps
