this is going to be a very long and comprehensive guide on how to solo maps as a blue mage at level 70. let's go over spells first on the left here we have absolutely required spells these are non-negotiable you need mighty guard you learn this from learning 10 blue magic spells and talking to your trainer basic instinct you learn this in the open world or via the level 70 dungeon either method works this will remove your penalty for damage on mightyguard and boost your healing by a lot and this saves you a lot of gcd's healing by reducing the amount that you need to cast because they're stronger mimic you get this from far serious hard this is required because it boosts the power of a lot of spells that you have a lot of people will tell you to run tank to protect you from tank busters within the dungeons themselves this is incorrect you do not need the tank mimic to survive the tank busters and i would strongly recommend using healer healer will make your next spell here palm cure basically a cacid benediction at level 70 and 400 item level gear the spell will heal you for approximately 10 000 without a crit and with food you have 16 000 health give or take and this means that you're basically unable to die as long as you do not get interrupted and you do not get killed within the span of a gcd the other advantage of this is it costs 200 mana instead of white wins 1 500 which is what you would be relying on if you were a tank mimic because obviously if your tank mimic your palm care will only heal for 100 potency instead of 500 making it completely useless white wind will just sap your mana very quickly and require you to spend a lot of gcds casting blood drain to keep up this will make your maps overall much slower and especially bad if you get behind on your healing because white wind relies on your current hp if you get behind you will unable to be unable to catch back up and you will eventually die this next section is very nice to have but not required these first two come as a pair you do not use one without the other ram's voice can be got from the ar relic trial the chimera and ultra vibration will kill anything that has been frozen by rams voice this is my preferred combo over using the level 5 death because it has a shorter cooldown and because more things can be hit by the freeze from rams voice then can be hit by level 5 death missile is also very nice for the open world this is to kill mobs that you cannot use your ultra vibration on because there is a certain setup that has three packs of three that will not spawn until the previous set is killed which means you are unable to hit all nine of them at once with ultra vibration this just helps speed it up a little bit unfortunately none of these things work within the dungeons but they are very very useful for speeding up your process of the outside world fight the next thing you'll need is a 220 potency aoe spam ability it doesn't matter which one you pick or which one you have as long as it has 220 potency on the first hit and is aoe my preferred spell is hydropol because it does not have a target requirement has the largest aoe uh it requires the least amount of brain to cast and hit as many things as possible this next section is nice to have but very situational exuviation will act as an assuna this is good for when you're learning in case you are tagged randomly by debuffs because a lot of debuffs within the dungeon are very very deadly uh perpetual ray some of my friends swear by using this it does affect almost everything within the dungeons it does not work on the final boss on either version but it is also a 220 potency spammer with the downside that the cast is longer than a gcd which will result in overall lower dps but not by a whole lot saintly beam is useful specifically for a couple fights in the shifting altars and one floor setup in the traditional choose the door map this will completely demolish that entire floor but is otherwise useless you can opt to swap this in and out if you actually do get the setup but that is your choice and this final spell here is a warning because we are not using the dps mimic matra magic is not useful at all here it will only have 50 potency per hit and it will not really be worth the gcd space the spell that is shared with is dragonforce which we will also not be using but it doesn't really make sense to use this when it only has a potency of 400 and this is my setup here obviously this is pick and choose what you like just as long as you have the required spells one thing of note here is angel snack this is a very overpowered cooldown when you have this heal going on you you basically are immortal this will heal you for approximately 6 000 per tick so this is very useful for when you're trying to get things like cold fog and phantom flurry off because you do not want to interrupt these to cast a heel and it will keep you alive while you're doing so here's a little trick to reset your spells if you join a unsync dungeon really quick it'll reset all your spells upon entry this will be a nice little speed up for your outdoors and reset your ultra vibration most importantly first is the outdoor section this is what i consider the hardest of the three variations the triple pack these mobs will not spawn the next set until you have killed the first three so i like to use ultra vibration on the first set and then a combination of sleep and missile to bring down the health of the next two sets as much as possible use your mighty guard while you do this because they actually hit pretty hard and just use whatever primal spells you have to clean them up as fast as possible these can be quite dangerous if you don't have your mighty guard on so be careful here next is the boss pack this one's pretty easy you use missile to cause the adds to come out earlier because they spawn at set intervals of the boss's hp use hydropool to bring them all in you don't have to do this you can just wait for them instead use rams voice and then use ultra once they all spawn and finally the quad pack this is also a very easy one just get in the middle of all of them use hydro pole if you need to otherwise just freeze and ultra and it's over one last trick before we get started this is what i call the step away technique this is how we're going to get around using tank mimic and we're going to use healer instead uh what happens here is the boss will use his buster but he will be slightly out of range for his auto attack so he won't be able to use both at the same time and kill us so here we step away just a little bit and you'll see that he uses his buster still but he does not immediately follow up with an auto attack because he's not close enough first we're going to go through the roulette a word of warning while you're doing roulette you want to do your absolute best to avoid aggroing the extra mobs like the abrahamu they will add in extra damage that can line up very poorly with tank busters and it's very dangerous so do your best to avoid hitting those first we have the skating bosses that do a tank buster early on will almost always do two auto attacks and then the buster so be careful with your health make sure you're full health uh the tornado is a good opportunity on this boss to proc your cold fog i would not use chirp chirp will put you to sleep and you'll have to wait for him to come slap you awake this boss is kind of scary with these ads you want to save bursts for these because they do quite a bit of damage and the boss will do his two aoes and then do another tank buster so you want to make sure that you kill all the adds before the tank buster happens otherwise you'd be very dangerous next up here we have the alter beast now this boss does not have a tank buster so he's fairly benign likes to spam his same abilities that he had in the scholar dungeon uh the claw is not a good place to get cold fog because it gives you a volume up same with the tail drive i would just wait until he does the spin later on to use it otherwise just wait for him to hopefully proc it with an auto attack you can blow all your cooldowns early here uh eye of fire is another reason that i like to use hydropower you don't have to face him his ads are very easy to deal with because they are vulnerable to saintly beam so if you have that it's very good here unfortunately you can't swap in and out like you can with the cages because you get put into combat immediately otherwise fairly simple boss if you have saintly beam speeds it up a lot next up here we have the chimera boss the chimera standard chimera attacks rams voice out dragon's voice in also has a cone attack from behind avoid everything uh unfortunately not good cold fog things here other than the auto attacks to eat because the rams and the dragon's voice will give you debuffs these ads are fairly benign they just do cone attacks on auto you not too dangerous don't stand in puddles obviously respect the rams and the dragons and this is a free kill so next up here we have the fenrir boss this boss also does not have a tank buster uh this first attack here he does glassy nova is a good opportunity for cold fog does a small knock back but very minimal damage so it's safe to stand in i would try and save a little bit of your cooldowns for the ads the ads are not particularly dangerous but obviously you want to get them out of there as quickly as possible so you don't have to worry about dodging their lines this boss also does a dragon's dragon's voice clone make sure you're inside for that he will immediately follow it up by a point blank aoe uh here's that dragon's voice make sure you get out afterwards and other than that fairly straightforward next up is the totem boss this is another no tank buster boss does a lot of cones and circles you can safely use most of your cooldowns here i would keep a little bit of burst but not all of it for the ads because the ads do like to use line aoes and it makes dodging more annoying wave of malice is a good cold fog target here doesn't do too much damage whirl also works it's up to you now when the ad spawn he's going to put this head marker on you and do it three times and drop his aoe you can safely stand in the aoe until the next cast bar starts so you can place two directly on top of each other before the burn will apply uh if you don't feel like being that fancy just place them spread out give yourself enough room to kite other than that very straightforward the next boss we have here is the dulhan this is my favorite boss probably because he is undead he also has a very scary tank buster because it is paired with a gap closer which means you can't really use the step away technique i just have to get really good at timing your heel alternatively you can try using uh gobskin if you're running into too many problems keep in mind that gobskin does not have a upfront heel attached to it so be careful with that here's the tank buster he does knock back and there's the double hit right there with the auto attack very scary make sure you have your food running the ads are unfortunately not affected by saintly beam so you have to kill them normally i like to say burst for them because paired with the tank buster it is very likely that you will die with the extra damage coming in all right moving on to the green spins uh this is the bird boss bird boss does not have a tank buster but he does like to put line aoes all over the floor it is a huge pain in the ass you will have to move around a lot so get your melee stuff in as soon as you can because you're not going to be able to fit it in too well later just because you're going to have to keep moving out of stuff this is a good place for cold fog is on the room-wide aoe that spawns the feathers dodge the floor no adds on this boss he's quite easy if you watch your feet don't get too greedy obviously you don't want to die and you have plenty of time on your timer so it's not like going faster will benefit you in any way next up here we have the old one this is the first boss that has a ranged tank buster which is actually very nice because you can pre-position out of range's auto attacks to protect yourself from the auto attack double hit as boss likes to put cones all over the floor and he does not have traditional adds the adds will cause line aoes and aoes all over the floor the big aoe circle that the boss spawns that happens during the crisscross pattern is safe to stand and wait until the crisscross goes off the big aoe from the boss goes off afterwards so next up we have the kelpie kelpie is another ranged tank buster boss uh this is another safe to run away from boss he does quite a few attacks one is a push that will push you into the aoe of some orbs simply stand behind him innocence is a bad place to get your cold fog because it gives you a bleed and this will cause you to have to heal more he will always jump to the center when he does his knock back you can use cold fog on this is a good place uh is also able to be sure casted this is the get behind and our last screen here is the arachne this is another range tank buster boss so make sure you step away when you guys see the cast bar for the dark spike now this boss also has a look away mechanic which is very dangerous so do not uh get greedy hydropol is another friend here it does have a raid a raid wide aoe that is good for using cold fog on and just be wary of the earthquakes that happen during implosion there can be multiple of these at a time if you do too much dps like you see here so just be wary watch your feet next is the red and exclamation mark spins these share the same spawns first up here we have the fish now the fish is kind of weird he has a tank buster and a point blank aoe that you need to run away from the buster is three hits so it's kind of weird uh you can parry or not parry some of the hits it does quite a bit of damage like a normal tank buster he also spawns the namazoos you can just ignore these fairly easily it's not too bad if you accidentally hit them because they don't attack you back strange quirk with this boss is that if you cut if you kite well and you just try and stay as far away as possible he tends to not use his buster too much he seems to favor tingle if you're just barely in range for the tingle instead of using the triple trident so just try and kite him and it will reduce the possible deaths from the triple trident casts [Music] now the other boss for the red and exclamation mark spins is the elephant this is a very deadly boss he has a normal tank buster that is melee range but he also will spawn a bunch of the abrahams these are very dangerous you need to make sure that you get all your aoe done before they spawn otherwise you risk hitting one and then very high risk of death when combined with the boss's tank buster his mechanics are not too difficult buffett will do a knockback and then he'll do a cone aoe so try and have your back to a wall that way you can dodge the the cone a little bit easier lots of opportunities here for cold fog hurls good buffett is good uh do not take the buff the scream the scream is a stun this is kind of dangerous so just make sure that you don't use that one and the third boss here we have the mandragora now the mandragora has a normal melee range tank buster he also spawns adds about 65 this is very very dangerous because he will immediately follow it up with another tank buster so make sure that you save your burst for the adds uh you want to get rid of these as quickly as possible it's okay if you hit the altar crew they'll just run around and do their thing they won't try and hit you but it's very imperative that you kill all of the actual adds from the boss otherwise you are in danger of being one shot by that buster combo leaf blade is a good place to get your cold fog off try and do this early so you can have all the aoe time to blow through all these ads as quickly as possible there's the intrusion after the ads phase is over this boss is fairly tame it's just that one pressure point right when the ads spawn that you need to be careful of because it is a very tight window to heal yourself if you take that buster while there still adds up now the other special spot you can get is the silver one which is the a bomb spawns a npc that will just give a little speech and then give you a free floor basically uh this chest will always contain a uh hedgehoglet and that's basically it in the chest nothing too special with this one uh this is a very rare occurrence i think in the thousand plus maps that i've done i've seen this spin probably less than a dozen times but a free spin is a free spin and finally we have the last boss now this boss has a few variations um they're all basically the same they do have a buster that is melee range but because his hitbox is so large he has this weird habit of not really needing to be moved away from too much to cause the step away uh just keep that in mind because his buster hits a little bit harder than every other buster just be careful uh he will spawn ads at about 70 65 percent and you want to try and burst these down as quickly as possible because of the tank buster save as much of your burst as you can here it's deadly charge is a knock back you can use sure cast on this and then he'll do a tail drive behind him doesn't really affect you if you just stay in front of him because he'll always hit behind him with the cone uh just be wary it'll interrupt you while you're casting this aoe is easily soakable solo just make sure you heal yourself up afterwards give yourself some distance so that you don't get auto attacked right after volcanic howl is a good place to get your cold fog in uh wild charge is also fine but make sure that you have your angel snack running if you're going to get it off of a wild charge moving on to the traditional picket door now this first floor has a few variations all the floors do but this is the only one that really matters these hal guys are a huge pain in the ass they are range mobs which means that if you stand in the same spot right where they spawn you likely won't be able to get them all bunched up nicely to aoe so what i do is i move to one side and then run through them go to the other and then they'll pile up towards the middle once they get to their maximum range all right here we have a full run through the piccador this is without the howl guys you can just let them come to you group them all up kick is very good here the kicking part has no falloff damage it's just the follow-up part that does um i like to just ignore the additional spawns they despawn fairly quickly if you don't touch them uh none of them really drop anything of note so i wouldn't bother killing them if you're only in this for the speed and the completions this is what a free door looks like it'll light up the path and make the door all shiny and rainbow this is a guarantee even if you get the bait of it closing on you it will always rainbow and let you through now the second floor is just three sets of three the next door will not open until you've killed at least two of the mobs it's unfortunate you can't just get them all to spawn at the same time just aoe everything down but nothing to worry about here these are very basic they don't have any crazy mechanics or anything just make sure you keep yourself healthy and go through them as quickly as possible i would try and save your big primal spells for the next floor if you can you get a little more value out of them on the next floor because those mobs tend to last a little bit longer you can also get more of them out of the cages at the same time now moving on to floor three this is three sets of four mobs each there are a couple variations this is the annoying one the oppa and the green guy are ranged it makes them a little bit more annoying to stack up the other variations do not have this problem although the ape in one of the packs will like to aoe when it first comes down so just stay away from the cage that is opening currently and it won't stop and get stuck at the top now these mobs are a little bit more tanky so you will probably get them all out at the same time this is actually pretty nice get good value out of your primal spells here because you can hit 12 targets instead of just four at a time i like to save my big bursts for when all of them are coming out i'm just spamming my filler in the mid in between keeping myself alive this fourth floor starts off with a boss this is the boss that you want your saintly beam for so if you see him in the cages you can switch it in simply beam is extremely powerful on this floor because all of the mobs in this set are vulnerable to it you can see that they just get absolutely decimated uh these second and third cages will open as the boss loses hp so the more more you do to him uh the faster you can get the extra cages open and you can just aoe everything down if you don't get the wraith then you can just try and blow a few single target primal spells and stuff on the boss to force the cages open earlier fist set is interesting it starts off with a three pack of trash mobs that are all identical the next pack that will open is two trash mobs and a mini boss uh the mini boss does have some sort of mechanics but they're usually not too much to worry about the second cage will not open until you kill this first set uh the third cage has another mini boss in it this but the second mini boss will come out before uh you kill this second door so don't blow all of your bursts but you want to try and get some damage on this the third cage monster has the most hp um so if you can try and get your first hit from your spells on him before the fall off to get a little extra damage in uh these are not too scary uh just keep your health up don't worry too much about uh targeting your main hits on the first guy [Music] now six floors where it gets a little bit scary for solos uh this is a mini boss and two trash mobs per pack there are a few variations this one's actually one of the easier ones because these don't really do anything special they just do poison there is a set that has some man traps in them they like to knock you back and it is extremely deadly when comboed with the auto attacks of the main boss so just be very careful of your health try and stay at full as much as possible don't play chicken with the mobs another scary set is the ones that have the a rank from yancha in them they will do untelegraphed tank busters they do a lot of damage and you'll just notice that your health is missing quite quickly so be very careful with those and just keep kiting if you're kiting they'll stay in place and you can just run away from them they won't do anything too scary but they'll catch you by surprise if you aren't paying attention onto the final chamber this boss is actually quite scary depending on which one you get uh the wind one in my opinion is the scariest because it has a bunch of knockback to it uh you want to save your bursts here for the ads the ads are very scary on all three of the variations of this boss so you want to just kind of poke them down use your single target spells the ad spawn at 70 and 35 while you're bursting down the first set of ads you're likely to get pretty close to that second set you want to be very careful to not kill the boss too much because you don't want two sets of ads out at the same time you will likely die they do a lot of damage they're always range you can't really escape them kick is very good for bursting them down quickly just make sure you keep an eye on the boss's health angel snack is very good in this part if you have it if you don't then just be careful you're gonna be spending a lot of time bomb carrying this is where i would suggest having some sort of dots so that uh you can keep some damage going while you're keeping yourself alive this is the scariest part of the dungeon if you're doing the wind version unfortunately it's just very scary use your sure cast when you're low and keep yourself alive and and that will do it for this very very long guide i hope you found it informative if you have any questions just leave them down below and i will try and answer them as best i can uh the reasons to do blue mage solo are just you can do it for fun which is something that i did it for is very enjoyable to me i just love solo blue mage content you can also get a lot of materials for glamour from storm blood you can get the raincoat materials you can get the quaint trails set materials you can get the um outside set uh mobs will drop the materials for the aodai and the non-law hat you can also get just a lot of raw gill from the chests and most importantly these drop thiefs maps thieves maps are very rare uh you will always get one on the final floor of a map and if you are lucky enough to get a shift in the roulette you will get one per chest this very rare occurrence to get those i feel like i always got kicked out right after starting a spin uh the best i did was a four unfortunately i was never able to get that five while i was farming for that achievement so good luck and uh yeah thanks for watching
