jesus has been continually giving us guidance principles that we may not be blind leaders that we may be honest leaders that we speak from the bottom of our heart and that what we speak is as much as possible bearing good fruit always with intention that what i will say should be what is beneficial to my neighbor and here really uh to be able to accept oneself for one he is it's not that easy um that's why our lord said how is it that you're able to notice the splinter in your brother's eye but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own there are people who cannot accept themselves for the limitations and defects that they or mistakes that might they might have committed uh and that is we see the splinter in other side but that we might have been the cause of this evil we make excuses and do not accept who we are just dislike just like this lolo who would not accept that after all he was just one of the liars so to say so that is one of the tragedies of life when did not in matang so pride is the cause of all this pride blinds us completely and prevents us from having an honest self-reflection and an examination of our conscience pride hides the truth from us it covers us with can bring them to the church or paris office before wednesday that will be made into ashes please remember that ash wednesday is a day of fasting and abstinence and with the war in ukraine going on we are asked to pray for peace there will be also be masses in the barangay chapels and in ayala and vista mall at 6 00 pm starting march 4th which is friday there will be the way of the cross after the morning and evening masses everybody is invited to join in the way of the cross the weekly adoration and benediction will be moved to thursday evening after the 6 pm mass instead of friday evening beginning march 3 this coming thursday lastly the paris is looking for new members in the following ministries lectors and commentators ministry extraordinary ministers of the holy communion of lay ministers catechist ministry youth choir knights of the altar legend of mary those who are interested and willing to serve in these ministries and groups can contact the persons in charge of their respective ministries or submit your names in the parish office thank you i would just like to give a little bit of explanation as regards this lenten season um on fridays they forget it's not a sin because it is only a lack of devotion that we do hero what is the reason why we do i ask not to eat meat or to abstain as a lack of sacrifice for our sins we can have other means to show our uh sorrow of our sins and we can make other sacrifices for example you can make the way of the cross for example you may say the rosary for example you may give um a substantial amount to the poor or you do something at home which you know would be very useful and uh this is your penance okay i see millions of filipinos have been spending the whole year from meat sardinas they have been upstating the whole year long so but they can what make other sacrifices you know and we who can afford could make the sacrifice of giving more to the poor and that has been more acceptable to god you get a point so uh it's not because we have committed sin by not eating meat no it's a knack of devotion it's not a commandment of god no but just do i acknowledge myself to be a sinner and i've been willing to make a preparation by doing this little act of sacrifice okay anything that costs you do it that is the abstinence fasting we have it only twice a year ashwini's day and good friday that is to say one full meal during the day you can drink milk but a little bit of sacrifice in the full meal maybe depending on your choice okay so this is not in order to make us feel bad or something which would be detrimental to our health choose which you think can help you express your uh what we call sacrifice and uh we will put it to some ministries and the last one is legion of mary legion of mary is not a ministry it is a religious organization so i think that the parish priests i would like that there be the legion of mary in our parish for the first time there will be a religious organization which is the legion of period so those who would like to enlist may come to the office thank you please lord be with you and with your spirit bow your heads and pray for god's blessing may the regions of god a world guide your steps in the way of an authentic christian life amen may the lord protect you from all dangers and prosper your whole lia's undertakings amen may he free you from all anxiety
