BRINGING HOME OUR PUPPY | meet our 10 week old rescue pup! 🐶✨

i was never the one to write up a song for just anyone i was always the one to find myself lost in all conversations all cause i've always been told that things will unfold if you keep on waiting but then you came along and proved me all wrong i was so mistaken cause you glue all the pieces back together yeah you you take all my wrongs and make them better yeah you you're making me wanna try forever i feel so free on my sweet baby friends i hope you are well i'm just finishing getting ready for the day today is turning out to be much different than i anticipated in the best way possible and if i sound and look like i've been crying it's because i have been crying about 20 minutes ago i received quite possibly one of the best emails ever if you watched one of my last vlogs a few days ago on wednesday we applied for a dog that was just listed and he was surrendered to a local county's animal services a little nine week old puppy and he's been living at a foster home and so we applied for him and we actually had a virtual home visit and apparently that went really well because we just got an email that we were approved for adoption so i haven't even told brandon yet he's uh getting my car washed but he'll be home soon so i get to tell him but basically the next step is we get to go meet this sweet puppy and he if he's a good fit we get to bring him home and i can't believe it i'm i'm just like i'm trying to process it all but i'm just so excited and thankful we don't even have dog bowls we don't have anything so i'm going to be running a lot of errands today and just basically now i'm waiting to hear back from the foster family also so that we can schedule a time where we can come meet him and everything but my heart is overflowing i don't even know i don't know what to do with myself honestly so i'm just trying to get ready and make a list i need to call a local vet and just ask if there's anything i should look for um but he already has like he's been to the vet he already has he's been microchipped and all this other stuff so they've already done quite a bit to him but i can't believe this i cannot believe this so i'm going to just continue getting ready trying to keep myself calm and then when brandon gets home i'll tell him and i cannot wait to see his reaction he's not gonna be able to believe it and then we'll see i mean i don't know if we're gonna meet him later today tomorrow i have no idea i've never been through this process before but i'm over the moon so thank you guys so much for just your kind words on my latest video and puppy prayers because they have been working my mom is actually the cutest person in the world and she just sent me oh my goodness i haven't even showed you guys him yet okay this is him he's a sweet little well they think he's a border collie but he's definitely a mix but here he is and she made this little graphic it says hi mommy i love you already okay brandon just pulled up i'll try to get his reaction hey baby hi thank you so much yeah i don't know we're waiting on the foster family but please oh my goodness so sweet [Music] i made up some breakfast croissants for kind of a brunch situation and this is a psa not to put your croissants in the toaster because they will burn clearly but i think it'll still be really yummy and give us some good fuel breakfast was delicious and my plan right now i'm trying to like again just kind of i'm having a hard time thinking about anything else but there are some things i need to get together clearly look at all of this so we got our bed frame delivered finally so exciting the headboard because that has been a whole customer service issue but it's here we haven't opened any a little bit we haven't opened it yet so i'm hoping everything looks good and everything fits well and it's the right one oh goodness i hope so so that's what we'll do later and then i also have this big headboard for our guest bedroom that arrived yesterday so i'm gonna unbox all of that later we're also supposed to get our nightstands in today so that's very exciting but before i kind of get organized and put everything away i want to go run a couple errands one to get puppy stuff but also home stuff and some goodies for my friend who had surgery this morning so i just want to drop some stuff out her house so she can get well soon so we're just gonna run and go do those errands probably get some more groceries for the weekend i mean if we do end up getting the puppy which i haven't told you guys his name yet he has a different name he has a name his name is jason right now which cute name but we actually have friends named jason so we're gonna change his name to something a little bit more you know suited for a puppy and since he is a puppy it's like no biggie to change his name he'll be really adaptable so yeah i'll definitely look at puppy stuff at home kids and target you better believe i'm coming home with a bunch of puppy stuff but yeah we'll just run those errands and then we'll get organized and i still haven't heard from the foster family so still waiting to see when will be a good time to come meet him but i just kind of want to start getting prepared immediately okay i'm off to go run some errands and although my outfit is not very exciting today i figured i would show you anyways i'm wearing this little hat that i thrifted from thread up and then my favorite happiness runs crop top it's just so comfy and then this little cardigan from express and then these sweatpants are from princess polly and then my white nikes okay i'm back from the store and i ended up getting a lot of dog things i went into home goods and i only got hot dog things i got a little i just have it all in my trunk right now because i want to wait until i still haven't heard from the foster family so we don't even know when we're gonna be able to meet him but i just want to wait to bring stuff in until you know we meet him because or right before because if it doesn't work out then i will just return it all so i got some really cute stuff so i'm excited to show that and do a little haul and then i went to target and just picked up a couple things for my friend as like a little get well soon thing and i went to drop that out of her house and now i'm back home and i'm gonna make some iced coffee for bni and then just get organized i just want to tidy up get super organized open those furniture boxes and just kind of get my life together [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] do hello friends it is a very exciting exciting exciting exciting exciting day exciting is an understatement that's why i had to say it so many times but i actually just got my hair done so i got it really chopped off feeling good i'll really end up putting it up because i'm just running around and preparing because in a couple hours actually in just one hour we are about to drive over and meet our sweet puppy which hopefully will be taking him home basically the plan is to just go meet him and then if we feel like it's a good fit we bring him home so we are just like beaming with excitement we're truly just over the moon excited and now i'm just kind of prepping and preparing last night we were um sorry i just kind of like stopped vlogging but we were just kind of like thinking about everything and watching training videos and just like enjoying our last night of just us two so just being a like that's it and from now on we're gonna have another addition to our family so super super happy and i wanted to show you a little haul of the things that i bought at homegoods yesterday i got some really cute things and we'll definitely stop at the pet store once we get him because i want to get the food that he's currently eating because that really helps with their transition if you're able to get their food that they had at you know the foster home so that it doesn't upset their stomach or anything so i'm gonna do that and get that and then i also did a curbside pickup for a little leash so yeah we'll stop by there and then just take him home and kind of make him all cozy and adjusted and just be in puppy heaven so i'm really excited and so excited to kind of take you along for this adventure okay here's the little hall i'll start with this gate so this is a puppy gate and it's just honestly so beautiful i thought it was so unique looking because i've seen puppy gates you know just the plastic ones and baby gates but this is truly like a decor piece as well so home goods really was just really creative and we're thinking we're gonna have this little section by our door with the powder bathroom and just like this little section for him to kind of make a cozy spot because of course he's still potty training it's really easy to clean up there's no rugs or carpet or anything like that and the tile and the laminate it's just super simple to wipe up and we can make it all cozy so we have that and it's just easy to kind of like gate off so we might move him around but it's still easy to see him from like the rest of the house from here so i don't know we'll play around with that and then i also this is a basket that i already had but i'm gonna use that for his toys which we did get him one toy already we'll probably get some more tonight but this is a little bunny toy i just thought it was so so sweet so i'll take the tag off and then we got these training treats and i actually got these at target but they're organic chicken training treats and these made me laugh because on the back it says finally a training treat that will have you licking your fingers so basically if you really wanted to you can eat them because it's human grade dog treats but i definitely do not plan on ever eating any but i just thought that was really hilarious and then i also got this burt's bees for dogs calming shampoo with lavender and green tea in case he needs a little bath we can give him a little scrub-a-dub and then i also got this dog bowl set it's super simple but i really liked it and they had a lot of pretty ones actually um a lot of wood-toned bases but i thought this would be good because it's closer to the ground because he's pretty small right now but it also can kind of grow with him because there's still a nice size and it's a good contrast with our wood floors so got that and then i got some puppy training pads because like i said he's still a teeny tiny puppy and so he will be potty training so these will be definitely helpful and then last thing is this little bed but i just thought it would be good because i can actually fold it and it's pretty kind of flexible so i can put it in my lap in the car and all that good stuff so that's our little haul [Music] we're almost about to beat him cannot believe it we have our little bed and towel in the back got his toys some treats i hope he likes [Music] us we are so excited to introduce you to sweet palmer dad's about to go to petsmart and get some goodies that we need for this little nugget oh my goodness how are you real so we'll catch you later mom and mom and palmer are gonna stay in the car because petsmart has some germs and we don't have all of our vaccines yet here it is in the car at petsmart waiting for daddy to come back palmer's first night first time at home oh my gosh look at this scrumptious little baby he's getting new some toys and food he's getting you some toys and food and i'm thinking out loud we won't need nothing else for the rest of our time and i know it's so good hey that's my hair [Music] we're about to give palmer his first bath so he can be all clean with his new shampoo he was getting very sleepy in the car after petsmart we were in petsmart well we took turns first brandon went in and then i went in to like get more stuff and then on the way home from petsmart he was getting super sleepy but then we were just playing in the backyard for a while and he got very energetic very playful so we got some energy out and he ate a little bit and he drank a bit so we'll need to go to the potty soon um but we're just gonna give him a bath first maybe i'll take him out again one more time and then give him a bath but i'm just giving him a little walking tour of the upstairs so he can see his new home so this is the laundry room palmer can check it out this is where your daddy works this is his office this is the guest bedroom where all of your friends will come stay with you this is the guest bathroom gonna explore this is the master bedroom where mommy's gonna sneak you on the bed and cuddle you at night and then here's the master bathroom where you're gonna take a bath hi we're waiting for dad to come up and then we're gonna start bath time but i haven't even shared where we rescued him from so if you're in the florida area or in georgia or maine you can check out the pixel fund that's where we rescued him through and they are amazing such hard-working and servant-hearted people who just want the best for these beautiful sweet creatures so we're so happy and so thankful everything worked out and can't even believe it's real it's still kind of setting in and we're just so overjoyed and so thankful for everyone who literally takes so much time out of their life to help these animals and find homes for these animals it really is such an incredible thing and again we're just so super thankful hey plumber hey plumbing yeah we wanna try forever i feel so free i'm a sweet baby [Music] do you have the post get him to go pee and poo honestly can you go potty [Music] oh my goodness friends i still cannot believe i'm a dog mom the past weekend has just been a whirlwind from getting sweet palmer and babysitting my cousins we've just been like running around like crazy and we're really working hard to try to train him because he is so good he's such a good boy and he's doing so good with potty training but one thing we're kind of working on with him is to not nip because when he gets super playful he'll start nipping so we just little things like that we're just super focused on training him and so i really have just been so distracted with this little boy but i am just so in love with him and oh i'm just so thankful it worked out because you guys know how much we've been wanting a dog and seeing palmer with seeing brandon with palmer and taking care of him is just like my heart oh okay i'm he's sleeping right now he's doing well with his crate training he likes his little crate last night he actually slept really well he slept from let me see from like about 11 p.m to 5 a.m so that was really good because we got to sleep as well because obviously when he wakes up we wake up um so that was great let me give you guys a closer look i'll go grab them so here he is i don't even know if i told you guys that i was babysitting my cousins this weekend but basically they came over the day after the morning after we got him which was really fun because they were just so excited and stuff but it was a bit hectic because we were still getting him adjusted but then also taking care of them but it was a good time and they were so helpful with trying to train him and stuff but here's our little precious boy oh thank you baby the rescue actually just sent over his vet documents because i'm taking him to the vet tomorrow to get you know some more vaccines and just a checkup get his weight and you know start establishing the relationship with the local vet um but they sent over his records and oh my goodness they sent over like his shelter when he was um his shelter information but it's just the saddest thing his little shelter mug shot let me show you oh here they were oh yeah oh look at that face oh my goodness and it says this is what it was labeled no names medical history you were mr no name but now your palm are in your home you're safe and sound i love them so much and i'm just so thankful like it's definitely of course getting a puppy is so so so much work and such a big responsibility but we were just so ready and we have so much love to give and it's such a big adventure already so excited to spend more time with him and you guys and you guys get to know him and watch him grow so that'll be super super special but thank you guys so much for watching and just supporting us and all the puppy love and prayers we definitely want to pray that he'll get adjusted well and he'll have good health because who knows what he's been through so
