Fall 2020 Wash and Go Routine - Full Wash Day Start to Finish for Type 4 Naturals!

[Music] hello you guys and welcome to my 2020 wash day routine this is my full wash day with the products that i am going to be using so the first thing that i do is i just start going to get my products and i like to put them in this little clear box you now because there's a lot of products to be carrying in one hand so i go ahead and i get my shampoo my conditioners my leave-ins my clips my brushes my everything that i'm going to need for my wash day because i hate to have to get out the shower and come back and get anything so this is just how i start my wash day you guys and i like to go ahead and just put everything in the shower because it's a process it's a day it is a basis okay so as you guys probably have seen i did use some hair paint gel this time to get this hair color so this is only temporary you guys it's gonna rinse right out and as you guys are gonna see it does rinse right out but it did like a crime scene in my shower i'm not even gonna lie to y'all as you all can see by my back and stuff red was everywhere so okay air well but it just rinsed out as you can tell i haven't shampooed or anything and it came out pretty well but you can still see they're still red there so we are going to go in with the redken shampoo love this shampoo i basically interchanged the redken shampoo and my curl smith because those are clarifying shampoos and i'm really going to need to clarify and shampoo while getting this color out and i'm also going to do two wash you always want to double shampoo when you're using the color waxes or the color gels just to make sure that you're really getting it out and your sud should not be the color of the gel okay so just make sure that you're doing that and that's what you guys see that i'm doing now so of course i take my time and i shampoo every single section i always work in sections and then after that i go in with my deep conditioner now this time i'm using a new brand which is rich royals and i would have to say this is one of my new favorite deep conditioners it smells amazing and it got every tangle out super duper easy and i really love that about this deep conditioner it has honey castor oil and tea tree oil this is not a sponsored video by rich royals or anything but i did want to let y'all know that this is a really good deep conditioner so i'm just going to apply that and detangle my entire head in the four sections and then i sit under the dryer and this is after i'm done letting this sit for a little bit so now i'm just going to take it down and rinse it out and add my leave-in conditioner and the leave-in conditioner that i chose for this video is the curl conditioning oil in cream yo this conditioner is everything and the fact that this is like a leave-in is perfect especially for me because you guys know i really don't like to use any creams when i'm doing my wash and go's i like to kind of go from my leave-ins to maybe a custard and then my gel but this is super moisturizing so i look for my leave-ins to be extra moisturizing so after i put my leave-in in you guys can see that my hair looks super moisturized and all i like to do is tie this up and then we're just gonna get to the styling portion of the wash day all right you guys so i'm already out the shower okay and my leave-in is in you guys already know what this big now i'm just gonna take this back section out i'm going to be shingling today but just look at how moisturized my hair is with that oil cream i just love that thing okay so what i'm going to do is just start from the back i got my jello shot at the refrigerator let me tell y'all this is actually my first time actually putting it in the refrigerator i mean could you pull too i wonder if it's gonna like close up my hair cuticles and stuff at the same time that'd be cool since it's all cold you know okay so i'm gonna just take a little bit oh my god it's cold okay y'all know you gotta make sure this is detangled when you are shingling so i just like to go ahead and do that before the gel starts getting hard sometimes i do it before i put the gel on but i do like it after i put the gel on then like just smooth that down like that and then shingle like that now i will say this is best when you're right in front of like a mirror so you can see all right y'all so i did the back off camera but i'm gonna show y'all what i did because it makes it a lot faster so you just want to take it down of course get a smaller section pin this back i'm going to take my gel and you want to take a generous amount y'all because it'll help with you not having to worry about the frizz part of this so i like to take it at the roots first and make sure that the roots have enough product and then work your way down until that hair has enough product and then work your way on down to the ends and then do that little prayer hands just to get the rest of the product off your fingers and stuff i'll take the brush brush through it and it already really starts to shingling but then smooth it out again because you don't want any frizz because that brush may cause some frizz it it pretty much always causes frizz for me and then you just want to shingle and this is where you're just basically smoothing the gel on separate strands that's about it y'all that's what i do sometimes i leave them big or sometimes i will make them smaller all right y'all so i have finished my wash and go portion of this video y'all so i'm waiting on that to dry now i am about to do my edges y'all and if you guys have been following me for a these smell so so so good y'all like i have really been digging into these this is the very cherry as you can see i've used majority of that one and this one is the great but this the grape one is my favorite as y'all can see i really kind of want him i know the grape is my favorite so i am going to be using this one i think i want to do a nice little swoop on this side but this video is sponsored really love this stuff really love this stuff let me show you guys exactly how i do it i like my edges to still be a little bit wet but not too wet so they are a little bit moisturized and my hair is still wet so we're good and i'm just going to take that clip out and now i am going to go ahead and add a little bit of this so i just want to take a little bit on the back of my nail just like that and what a lot of people fail to do with edge controls you want to apply it and just really let it sit like really get your hands your fingers in there and warm that product up so just rub that in just like that first don't do anything but rub it in and y'all this is the edge control really like it really like it really okay all right so that's what it looks like when i'm done just smoothing it back now you can leave it like this but y'all know your girl gotta do a little soup or something i'm just gonna take this edge brush and i'm just gonna do like i think two swoops on this side so you wanna just kind of comb it out first and that's how you're just gonna make really precise cuts and then i'll use the brush to just kind of really smooth that back and sometimes i like to push it towards my face and then go back just to give it a water swoop y'all know just like that y'all see that what and i'm also going to put it on my part because i feel like you can't have your edges all sleek right here and then this just looks a little weird so i do like to just take a little bit and just make sure that my part is nice and crisp and since my hair is laying on this side i'm not going to do too much on this side however i do like for my hair to go back a little bit it just makes it fall a little bit better to me so first you want to just rub it in your hand and then just apply that there so i'm gonna bring it down a little bit and then just swoop it up just like that and i do like to put my pins right back in after i do all my swooping y'all see how i cut it right there that's gonna be nice that's gonna be nice just wait on that it just really helps with the laying process and how my hair looks when it dries at this point you can tie your edges up which i am going to do i'm gonna tie them up and i'm gonna let everything pretty much dry good morning you guys so i did sleep with my hair like this i wrapped up my edges put a bonnet on went to bed and i woke up and just shook this out and this is how my hair is looking you guys so the first thing i'm going to do because my hair is still wet like in the middle i'm going to diffuse a little bit and i'm going to use my dyson diffuser and my dyson dryer and i'm just going to put it on medium heat medium airflow and just do the roots i'm not going to take it under here and do any of that i'm just going to dry the inside just like that [Music] all right y'all so now it feels like my hair is majority dry i'm gonna section my hair off into a few pieces i'm going to take these clips out because i just put these clips in just to keep my part but i'm just going to go ahead and section my hair off so that i can get to the stretching process and you guys have seen me stretch before but i'm just going to show you a few clips of this [Music] all right y'all so i've banded all of my hair and i let it sit for like 30 minutes or so so now i'm just gonna go ahead and take all of these bands out and then take my wrap off and then we're going to be done all right y'all so i took the bands out and this is what my hair is looking like now i'm just going to take my scarf off to let y'all see my edges he ain't gonna let me take this scarf down without showing her hey girlfriend his guys guy taking my scarf off now oh yeah all right y'all so this is the final look my hair is looking so good so good like do y'all see the definition the shine it is soft this is gonna last me for like seven days but these edges y'all using this kiss edge fixer first and foremost it has biotin in it it helps with the how long your wash and go is whether it looks very defined does it look shiny like as you all realize i did not use a cream after my leave-in i used a very moisturizing leave-in conditioner which was the curlsmith one it moisturized my hair and i can tell you i let that sit in a little bit and penetrate as you guys saw before i came and started the styling process and i will also say that leaving that gel the eco slate gel in the refrigerator i don't know it's something about it being cold i like it i just like it okay so yes i will be putting my stuff in the refrigerator like it's supposed to
