I am delighted to have my very dear good friend known Andrew White oh and on thank you well III do reciprocate Andrew it's great to have you here the last time we did facing the cannon were actually was six years ago Worsley yes I know so some time has passed by oh here's ago I know well that that interview can be seen on youtube or go on to Canon Jaejoong comm wasn't that one first one it was actually but here's an opportunity to kind of update on what's happening you have been known as The Vicar of Baghdad what are you called now I don't know they still call me that even though I not I hope I can't get away from that title no that sort of stuck stop but you're more like The Vicar of displaced people yeah absolutely most my community are refugees and the persecuted and despised and the rejected we used to be Anglican Chaldean Orthodox Presbyterian everything when all this persecution started we just became as thehe they're followers of The Anointed One so now we're not any denomination we just question you want Christian unity I know how to get it right okay our data's right what what happened regarding you being the vicar of Baghdad and then you not being able to go well I was a Baghdad and Burt Isis or - as we cordon the Islamic state miss lemon this state of Islam and levent started moving in and a lot about people they had fled Baghdad because they thought Baghdad was bad and they all originally came from a place called Nineveh yes which was where the miserable evangelists came once by submarine and the miserable evangelist they all fled back by the name of Jonah yeah yeah that was his name that was his name but he was really a submarine yeah expert and then he got cease the God made the fish seasick yeah and delivered him on dry land anyway they all run back there our nicest went there got them killed and yes slaughtered out people there so terrible cannot describe what happened I always said to my people I will not leave you don't you leave me yes many of them had left me they had gone back to Nineveh and then Isis came and they all fled and I fled with him so I went with him so at one time at the church where you were the the vicar you you had like 6,000 people were interacting or thousand were interacting yes yes with the church in some way during the week and we had a church a clinic a school a pharmacy was a very brands have service and we also developed their we founded their stem cell treatment for MS patients we treated 3700 MS patients and now other people are trying to copy it and they're doing it really well particularly in Israel we'll talk about that a little later tell me about that many of your staff went missing or died how many of your staff well it's quite depressing to admit this but I've had about 176 of myself killed how how do you when your staff you know that they've been abducted and they've been murdered are you angry no do you feel that God's forgotten you know do you know what I do what you do I say why Lord why why I don't know why but these children I you know I had two boys and then I have six adopted children all your Archy apart from one and when I have had my children die it's the worst thing in the world there will be people in this room I'm sure who have lost children you can have your parents die your brother die your family guy but nothing is like a child losing a child is the worst thing in the world and I must admit I've never ever doubted I'm a very boring Christian when my parents told me when I was a little boy that Jesus loved me I always believed it even when I was at Cambridge doing theology I still think that Jesus loved me so in the midst of all this suffering you somehow believer know that God sohow knows what he's doing if God is yes and we say and I must admit how what would I do did I get angry did and I doubt did I fear my faith no I said while or why some 10 why why why does he answer that prayer the Lord says I'm still here I'm still with you I will not leave you and I came back once from Nineveh and Isis had killed a lot of our young children and I was crying and my other young children they were 7 and 11 at the time they all the children called me daddy they didn't call me abouna which is like my father in aramaic they call me daddy and the children came in the next morning they said daddy daddy we know you're crying because of the children our children but they said last night we saw them all in heaven and they were dancing with Jesus and I really how alter that that they are dancing with Jesus what they had dreams or vision they had dreams you see Jesus turns up a lot where we are now you've seen you've actually seen angels all the time what quite a magazine would you want angel here we have has seen so many angels big angels small angels also images of Jesus and people say well how did you evangelize how do you convert I said I don't need to Jesus does it for me did he just your burns are do they talk to you know what when you see the angel what you look at them and they look at you Oh interesting on their face type a thunder fly a book I got my one adopted boy down you know yes I do owl take some pictures for me daddy I can't there are too many angels they Jews everywhere I said look don't worry Dowell just take picture of them so you do so when the photo came out could you see angels yeah in the photograph you can see these big all burst of light one of them is like the Sun but unfortunately it's middle of the night there's no Sun and then when we to all of our people out when I see our people I don't mean just my congregation we had 58 Christians killed in church one afternoon and we drove them back in the funeral calls to Nineveh and we took pictures of the cars going and there were angels all over the cars of a group Andrew help us to understand what is it that motivates Isis white is very interesting that most terrorists not most all terrorists have lost something what had they lost these terrorists mainly come from one of the sunny areas of humble Fallujah and Ramadi and these people were previously Saddam's stronghold and when Saddam was emerging two or three all of these people had nothing there was a good general he was a member of my congregation he was good at that time I knew he got a bit wrong General Petraeus and General Petraeus I said to him one day look we've got to keep these bad guys onside and so what do we do with the bad guys they had lost everything so we made them a group called the Sons of Iraq and their job was to fight terrorism so they started fighting terrorism but when the oh man removed all their troops from Iraq and removed America then the people of Olimar were no longer Sons of Iraq they lost everything again they lost what did they lose they lost their power they lost the respect they lost their authority so often when people lose that they try and show their still got power and how do you do that you go and blow people up you kill people and that's what's happened many radical extremist Muslims justify what they're doing because of what they believe is the teaching of the Quran is very strange because even though we as Christians have a very different teaching to the Quran and now God is suffering God and yet he will turn as the kingly God yet our message is the message of love love love it's hard it's difficult I can remember being really challenged about loving my enemies and so I used to invite the bad guys round for dinner I invited my sister Alma dinner one day you know as you do they said yes we'll come but we'll chop off your head afterwards so have some land first and then chop your head off so I didn't take it any further no we'll talk more about this but let Liz put okay the Archbishop of Canterbury felt it was necessary and instructed you that he used to be my assistant that's right he's now my ball yes is very is very strange when your assistants suddenly becomes in charge of you so yes your grace did he face the Canon well he did actually he was good it was good sense of humor hey now he advised you or did he instruct you that it was time come on John what do Archbishop's do till you say Oh have you thought about coming out they say get out now so I did so you did now so tell us what are you currently doing and where are you located well I'm still very much in the Middle East I do I can cope with being in England for maximum one week and I've been here five days now right so I'm mainly based in Jerusalem now Jerusalem Jordan and Bill and Baghdad when I have to be but I don't ever say that I have to be yeah you know I'm sure lots of you follow me on Facebook to you that's how you know what I'm doing and I say I'm here today I'm there tomorrow but I never say I'm in Baghdad anymore you just have to meditate on the law and say Lord where is he sometimes I write I need your prayers urgently yes as the good example that's a good example as it's a way you might be what kind of work are you currently doing in Jordan and in Israel well I'm doing exactly the same as before he did before no the only poor thing is that they still pay my salary but all of my expenses my flights my living I have to pay for totally myself I've used almost every penny I had in my life I've used it just try and keep going but only another week or so left it's all gone and you're the foundation that you you've set up is it's helping many refugees from Iran how many are being helped at the moment well we are helping several thousand we are helping at least 10,000 in Jordan we're providing schooling housing education and regular relief and then we're doing the same in northern Iraq okay so you've worked the Middle East since you were a student at Cambridge yeah that's how it began you know that little University yes this is there was a crisis wasn't there between what we found your why I did find my wife you do know I'm doing the interview wasn't your wife's father the vicar of Holy Trinity and we can reach reducing Damir over coffee that's right a sibling and Simeon is here tonight birth Simeon of course now I was thinking today that in 2018 if I'm correct will be the hundredth anniversary of the fall of the Ottoman Empire it will also be the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the State of Israel okay is it getting better in the Middle East or getting worse well the thing about the Middle East and the places for Christians and Middle East there's only one safe place for Christians in the Middle East which is Israel the only safe place that doesn't mean that Bethlehem or Palestine safe but within the State of Israel and it's very interesting I've just bought out a new book and about the role of Christians and Jews the Christians fight against the Jews did you know that Christians have killed and for more choose the Muslims have do you know I didn't actually okay why did they do that because of the auntie Judy polemic which was the heart of Christianity we started as a Jewish sect we still kept a Shabbat the Sabbath on Saturday and then this guy called Constantine who is a Roman Emperor was converted and the first thing he did was to try and deed Judy eyes the Christian faith tradition and Constantine was a pagan and they worshipped the Sun God on the first day of the week so Constantine fought for the Sabbath to be moved from Saturday Shabbat to Sunday the day worship of the Sun and I've just written a book about that Nortel yet really good I look forward to reading it so is it getting worse in the Middle East or is it getting better the Middle East do you mean Israel or the rest of the Middle East the whole of the Middle East there's conflict everywhere yeah we're in the third world war do you believe that I really do why why do you say that because wherever you go now this war is being performed and is not just affecting the Middle East but it can affect the heart of Paris or America or California sadly everywhere the whole world is at risk but don't worry as my eyes to say to my children in Baghdad or they said to me many of my children who have been Baghdad and now with me in Jordan they said always dad you you say Jesus is coming soon and you know that Jesus said that 2000 years ago and we're still waiting so we're still waiting it's really difficult so will things get worse before Jesus returns yes they'll get even yes there's nowhere in the Bible that we can say oh the Lord's coming soon it's all going to be wonderful no the Lord's coming soon is going to be terrible is going to get worse worse and worse now that he will come in hindsight when you decided the Chilcott report suggested I spent lots of time talking with that that we shouldn't have gone to war with Iraq in hindsight do you think we shouldn't have you know that leading up to it I said I'm in favor of this war because one day at the Mahabharat the spy man who looked after me he said to Bruna buna guess what tonight you've got a really important meeting I said I've been with Tareq Aziz all day can't be more important that he said no it is I said it is not then I knew it must be the sons of so there so I said is it OD or cuz they he said no it's not one it's both I said I'm not going there I don't want to go he started to cry when your spire starts crying you know there's something to worry about he said if you don't go they will kill me and my family so I went to the worst in the party of my life can you imagine yep being a dinner party with his two sons so I did I went to them Pleasant in the party eventually they were killed and there I was in the midst of all this war in Iraq which I had supported and it's very difficult to admit this I was wrong Iraq now is far worse than it ever was before the war I was totally and utterly wrong David do you think God will forgive me he's good at that goddess he is good at that so we have made wrong judgments yes government do their best but they do make wrong choices and sometimes we have to live with the consequences consequences yeah now you've spent you spent your life working for reconciliation what does what does that actually mean reconciliation is about enemies becoming friends and loving those who have hated and I always say the most important thing in reconciliation is hearing each other story because when you've heard their story the other story is difficult to continue hating you start loving I bought you know sir at my work is Israel and Iraq so one day I thought let's try and bring Israel and it all together they really hated each other and I got them together and for three days they met in your old land and cobras yes in pathos yeah and one of the rabbi's said at the end of three days three days we have been together and I've got three words to say fear is canceled and the Imam said I can't say it in three words but I simply say I hated you I wanted to kill you but then I heard your story I looked into your eyes and I loved you and you're my friend now we have centers all over the release called the atom center and the abrin Center which bring together Jews Muslims and Christians the hardest ones to deal with other Christians now how can you do that with Isis who won't listen and aren't interested in hearing other people's stories well there are certain people that I had to admit including reconciliation with and Isis are one of those groups you cannot do work with Isis but one of the ISIS commanders he was blown up by his own bomb who him he was in hospital in Syria dying and one day Jesus came the man in white appeared they always talked about the man in white appearing to him in home here two peered him in the hospital and he said his name was Allah follow me and that day he started for them yes sir just like after all so have you heard of Jesus appearing to many people what do you think I just want to record it the answer yes not thousands and thousands like some of these evangelists and preachers and some of them whack people gave say thousands of thousands all seeing Jesus know hundreds but you've met people who have seen Jesus I've had in every congregation at least 50 60 70 Muslims who's seen Jesus and as a result of that followed G have followed Jesus why doesn't Jesus reveal himself like that to more people he does when he has to and he does when people are willing to see him and one of the things about our community is when you have lost everything Jesus is all you've got and you all turned him so many people do not listen to him turned him just on email yesterday I had somebody say to me you have shown me Jesus I said no I haven't jesus has shown himself he said I want you to baptize me I say I will is a bit difficult when you live in Vancouver but come back all the baptisms I do now are in the River Jordan so there's one thing that you said earlier on about people who I think you implied seek Jesus or are open to Jesus yeah what does Jesus think of all their atheists and the humanists and the agnostics of the world I've never really met an atheist I really want to I've heard of people atheists I've never really met anybody who's got enough faith not believe in God they say they exist show me one I'm waiting and they don't have anyone to thank when something good happens no no I don't wear mark have you seen miracles Andrew in your life um I've seen kind of you mean like people raised from the dead and he'll hear that kind of thing you've seen have you said that was really good God tell us tell us tell us a story or two of miracles that you've seen well my favorite one is about a man who came to the clinic and said doctor doctor please can you help my daughter she's so ill I said the doctor said we can't help you because we can't treat people who and other hospitals and this girl isn't another hospital he said go and see abouna a Bruna will pray with you so he sent him over to me and I prayed with him I said God will kill your daughter go now to the hospital and just I don't want you to pray a prayer just say yes to her yes to her yes to her it is the era me for Jesus Jesus Jesus he went to hospital saying is through you saw her you saw her he got there and they said our heart I'm so sorry was your way your daughter died and he cried and find he's their baboon I said she would be alright and so he went to her corpse and cried and fine put his arms around her and just kept saying you sir oh yes through you sir and she sat up and she said daddy I'm hungry can I have some food and I said don't worry it's happened before and that's just one of the instances but one I like so she became a member of our congregation what was her name Fatima but we changed it Andrew you have battled with MS for a number of years when was it first diagnosed here it was diagnosed in 1998 tell us how it it's affected you since then and how's it affecting you now well this week has been a bad week but genuinely I managed very well that literally the last few couple of months I've we started in Baghdad stem-cell treatment it was very successful and I came most of my symptoms and Menge to get walking and talking and doing everything again and then I didn't have any treatment for a year because I was feeling so well and I started going downhill quite rapidly and since then I've had stem-cell treatment once we did it in Erbil we bought all the equipment and doctors up from Baghdad where now there's a center in and Jerusalem has a professor of Demetrios from your home now or a Greek no Cypriot Greek Cypriot SiC the other cypriot ah no Greek agree exit Cypriot love it so he's doing it yeah so I so wanted to see him and I tried all these different people like could the President of Israel help me get him the Prime Minister all these people started contacting him and to my surprise the other night professor Demetrius the Greek Cypriot yes he phoned me I said old professor Demetrius I really wanted to see you I said do you know about me he said of course I know about you he's I said how he said my wife spread all your books I said your wife has read my books as I went see him so he agreed I'm going to take your bone marrow next week and then we'll cultivate it for one month and then we'll inject it into and this treatment will be able to be used for a whole year and he said but first of all my wife wants you to come round for dinner tonight so I went round for dinner and he had 12 of the leading professors form the Hadassah and Karim Hospital and amongst them there were 12 of them and amongst them three of them believers Wow is amazing yeah and they were all they all met regularly to talk about Hashem God the name of God in Israel no God it's Hashem which means the name that is it their name Andrew that there might be people here people watching who are struggling with MS they don't have access to this kind of treatment what would you swear word on it it won't be long the problem is in places like even Sheffield Chicago they're doing stem-cell treatment but they're giving chemotherapy first they think they've got to wipe out the auto immune system which destroys the myelin sheath now how methodology is we don't do that we just give the treatment and it restores people where they are so we hope that one day it will come here so very good easy treatment there's one problem with it it's cheap it doesn't cost anything and the drug companies don't like it because drug companies can make so much money out of their terrible drugs I tried those drugs for one day one day it was terrible never again so what would you say to people who are battling with MS or ill health what would you say to them well I would say to them come and see me in it you pray for your healing and let's pray that God will enable a system of treatment to happen here I hope because the thing is here you know if people don't have access to a particular treatment that would not limit God from intervening in other ways otherwise we're saying what are we saying about God the thing is that God is beyond all things God can do miracles like I had a little girl with gladdy cancer in there are my little Rita and I prayed so much Lord will you send us a bladder surgeon now playing for a bladder surgeon in the midst of Baghdad in the middle of a war is a bit crazy I did Chapel one Shabbat we did real today you know and I saw Colonel without not met before I said to him colonel good to meet you what are you doing here though he said I'm just the Surgeon General of the cash Cash's combat Army's hospital I said what you specialize in he said that I'm a bladder surgeon and he specialized me because that'd be the tumor that Rita had and so we got little we to examine by the Surgeon General of the US Army and how she doing it's terrible story we got her to Jordan and she had her bladder removed and she made great progress and then one day they phone me daddy daddy she can't see out of her left eye anymore I knew that she had ii was yeah and she died died and i did her funeral hardest you know I would have done in my life and that was a time I said why Lord why Lord why we live in this world Andrew don't we have miracle and mystery and yet somehow God can hold both yeah and leader is with him and she's with the other children who were killed by Isis dancing around Jesus but it doesn't take away the pain now of losing one your children that never goes you you offered a moment to go and you to pray for people who are battling with health issues no only MS I understand MS I'm doing I'm getting only MS oh and I have what I'd like you to do if you'd be happy to do it both for those who are tending here and for our viewers know I jump only pave you can call me would you say a prayer of healing both for those that are here and for those that are gonna watch this but as you know it has to be an error me we're happy I'm a and English all right Lord God may your healing come amongst us may your spirit descend upon us may your love surround us and there are times we say why Lord why why and you put your arms around us and we say she made Baba gröna raw kosher Rock Hashem a lion army mmm thank you Andrew how do you see the future for you Andrew I knew that God has called me ultimately to Middle East but wherever God has called me I know that he will enable me even though this week I felt so ill I didn't think I'd be able to go I know that with God I will and whatever he needs me to do I will be able to do it because whatever God has asked me to do I've always been able to do not once have I not been able to do what God wanted me to do I'm very much a I'm a political spiritual animal okay I don't bite there so I really believe in taking the gospel the good news of the Lord the Messiah the Creator wherever I go and even though I'm telling you to keep the Shabbat on Saturday I'm not a seventh-day adventists but I am a big observer or the Sabbath it's good because it means we can have to sell have to have you you seem you seem to be able to discern God's will and that's something that many of us struggle with how do you discern and we wait got it well how do you just go hope with these people armed just waiting on the Lord I need to wait on the Lord the Lord is there you will speak you learn to listen to him how do you listen to God how does God speak to me yes he speaks directly he speaks through other people ultimately he speaks through Scripture and therefore you got to love and study Scripture and he talks through circumstances he's even taught me through the television before amazing pretty good he's taught me through you before quite a lot but there gain you all my best friends I suppose if God can speak through a donkey he can speak through anything canting even you do you ever relax and true now I'm relaxing now you're relaxing now on so do you relax people say to me you do more these interviews and things do get wired to get nervous do I look nervous don't worry no no I know lovely people yeah how does your wife cope with you Andrew your wife talk so nearly every day so you probably know that she copes with me because I'm not around much she says there's no way I'd be able to cope with you around all the time how do you cope living most of your days and weeks and months and years in the Middle East and your family your wife and two sons live here when I'm away from them I miss them and when I'm away from my family and people in the Middle East I miss them so very rarely do I ever have more together and I really long the time when my people can all be together it was quite good recently because I took your C to Israel with me and there we were amongst all of our people and my English boy it's good yeah and I had with me also I have is very special God children I have 26 God children but you know your God chosen you do not love them more than other God's children you can love them all the same I don't I as a couple were very close to me what can we pray for you Andrew wisdom wisdom power and glory okay I think we get the wisdom the power power like an empowerment of God yes now what does the glory mean the glory means bringing heaven to earth I can only do my work when glory when heaven comes to earth and then I can pray thy kingdom come Thy will be done on earth as in heaven cymbal supernatural that is our prayer for you Andrew that you will continue to know the Lord's wisdom the empowerment of his spirit and heavens glory continuing to anoint you and protect you and keep you in in body mind and spirit and we pray that he will continue to bless you so that you can continue to bless many others and is so good that all the people around the world can see this wonderful message it's wonderful engagement and everybody must pray glory heaven come to earth that's what we need and we say our men amen thank you very much cannon Andrew white you
