[Music] [Music] what's up guys welcome back to the channel today we're going to be bringing you the rest of the Thailand content from my trip going over to B bck and paa and man it was wild but I wanted to preface this video cuz things just didn't go to plan you'll see what I mean later in this video but uh just a few weeks before this trip my dad passed away and so I almost canceled this trip but I promised my parents I would never stop laughing I never stopped smiling I never stopped going at Adventures so I stuck with it and I'm so glad I did Thai culture Tai car culture is so amazing the people over there are so nice and they just want you to have a good time Ty car culture is a lot like it was back in the Fast and the Furious B like in 2003 all the cars over there modified like a third of the cars I saw on the street would modifi with fake te37s and rpf1s titanium exhaust titanium braces everywhere modified semi- trucks taxis tuck tucks everybody loves modifying cars over there we're going to start off with souped up the drag race and you can see why things just didn't go to plan as this unfolds stick around for the end of this video cuz I'm going to show you some of the sites I saw for the remaining 10 days of my trip going sightseeing and we're going to go for a ride in Chad's cream pie E30 [Music] BMW 32 hours that's how long it took for me to get here to Bangkok Thailand we're here at Bangkok drag Avenue in the Heart of the City to show you what racing culture is like here in Thailand we're going to take you along with me let's get right to it the track design here at Bangkok Greg Avenue is very unique I have never seen this Amphitheater style concrete seating around a track like this I have in Australia but it's more spread out it's not on top of the track so you have a very unique view standing over the track when the cars are doing a burnout I've got some really cool shots up here with these big clouds just directly over the car it's just so cool for video and then as you go down the pits are over behind here you can see behind can't really see but the white tents behind me here those are the main pits about 2/3 of the cards are down here and then down further down there's some enclosed uh garages down here for the rest of the racers which is where I'd want to be it's nice and quiet down there you got some really good shade and you can fit two or three cars in a [Music] garage on my way over to show you guys the pits I wanted to show you one of my favorite places to hang out it's 92° right now it's 103° heat index here in Thailand it's always humid and this is their winter time so if I came here in the summertime when you could go Riverboat racing it'd be about 120 heat index 100% humidity so I'm really glad I'm here right now but this has air conditioning it's the only spot on the property I found so far they have a nice little media Lounge right here I've got all my equipment and then they have VIP seating as well behind me where you can hang out and watch drag racing from underneath the grand stands pretty cool setup now we're here standing in the main pits of the track about 2third of the cars are in this section as you can see it's pretty cramped they've got cars just stacked in here side by side as tight as they can pack them when cars have to get in and out there's actually official staff here to help them maneuver through the pits cuz it gets so tight at certain parts of the day when they're running through eliminations another very unique thing about Thailand is they're Buddhist and you'll see orange drink red drinks in front of temples you'll see fruit uh these are offerings for the gods and then you'll also see flowers inside and those are like a good luck charm in transportation so like every car every car in the city almost has flowers in the car especially in the race cars they're doing things that are dangerous so they want as much good luck on their side as possible so you'll see here's another one more flowers back out in here on the track I want to explain something very important about how drag racing goes down here walking around on a track in the US my my shoes are literally stuck to the track and I have to peel them up most times out here it's a completely different story they have no track equipment here for prepping it's all hands sprayed and burnout to put rubber down the track all the black you see on the track here is put down from racing behind me you'll see the Toyota revos which is Toyota's competitor to the U dmax pickup truck and they just released these trucks recently so Toyota actually gave a truck to several different tuning shops to see which one can make it the fastest so they made a class just for the revo this is the Toyota Revo class right [Music] here one other unique thing about Bangkok drag Avenue is the ET boards I've only seen this one other time that was in Puerto Rico the boards behind me and the ones at the end of the track actually count up from zero to whatever the time is you get to see it live what their time is when it finishes it stops [Music] oh one of the first things right away that we just found out this is eliminations day apparently most of the races are single cars so we're not going to be seeing a whole lot of side by side eliminations going down because they just barly because of the track prep here it's not as good so they're worried about cars hitting each other so we might not be seeing a lot of side by side eliminations it's all by time very interesting so things are evolving fast here we came in the afternoon cuz we're used to having drag racing rounds at drag races and with the single elimination I just found out I was trying to make sense of the schedule because they only show the classes once on the schedule in different times that's because the first nine classes have already ran and the cars are leaving or of left so a lot of the pits are empty now compared to when we were here 2 days ago just checking things out and getting the lay land so I'm going to talk with Chad about the different classes so Pro all-wheel drive is the fastest all-wheel drive cars here doesn't matter what engine you just have to run all wheel drive correct it's yeah but I mean all Drive Civics well so the GTRs like the r35s that came from like Singapore and Malaysia they're not able to run the pro pro all-wheel drive class because they run actual slicks so the pro all-wheel drive class is all whee drive but it's going to be on like a street Tire or a radi something like limitations yeah there's limitations on the tire so uh I mean it's mostly evos uh we saw that one Audi yeah so uh it's really fast all drive cars more of a street side on on a street Tire [Music] [Music] SE that was all and then Pro 275 they have two different classes I'm not sure how those are split up but the 275 Cars one thing that was very interesting to me is that it's like our small Tire classes at home for whatever reason about half of the cars have a very weird alignment set up in the back cambered out and toed it's it's weird man but that said it looks weird but they're still cutting a 11 160t this track that has zero tack on it at all so whatever the hell they're doing Works y you know nothing one light [Music] up and then next is going to be our Pro four-cylinder class and that's going to be the fastest four-cylinders on the property can you do awheel drive in that class no you cannot so it's is going to be it's like the bigger tire the pro four-wheel drive class is honestly like the the um the orange S15 Sylvia with like the stroker SR20 surprisingly here um we're just now starting to get like the whole uh rear whe Drive Cas swap thing going you'd be surprised how many fast SR20 cars are here it's shocking like that class is pretty much dominated by Nissan SR20 rear wheel drive cars lots of SR20 in just different chassis in multiple different chassis yeah it's interesting and then the cars in the Pro 6 class we have the Supras and then the Nissan what is it safos the fox body Thailand yeah uh if you want to Google it just Google a31 Nissan safiro and it's basically when I first got here I was like is that a rear wheel drive Maxima it looks like a boxy like 80s or '90s Maxima but it came factory with a naturally aspirated RB and kind of the recipe you want to build a budget fast drag car is Nissan seiro 2JZ built motor Big Turbo race transmission let it rip that's a really fun class to watch the cars are very interesting though the Safir aren't a pretty car but you can get them here and that means they're dirt cheap just like a fox body back home literally in the Pro 275b class we're going to see some cars like this R30 Skyline one of my favorite skylines is cuz you don't see them in the US very cool car very ugly but very unique they're very cool because they're so ugly in my opinion behind me is the Pro 3000 class running the 3 l turbo diesel that comes in these suus and the Turbo is about this big I I don't know how big it is it's got to be like a 40 some millimeter turbo I don't know why they had the Restriction but they're running mid eight with these trucks it's [Music] wild 883 fastest pass of the [Music] [Music] session another and one other thing that reminds me of these trucks are using a standard H pattern transmission the H pattern that came in these trucks actually running eights with a four-cylinder turbo [Music] diesel [Music] diesel smoke right to the face next up is the pro f-55 class these trucks run a little bit bigger turbo than the other class they're about this big 55 mm still not that big but you can run a bigger drag radi on the back still underneath the fenders these cars are going to be a little bit faster mid 8s I believe along with being able to run the bigger turbo these trucks are also going to be running the 3 l 4-cylinder turbo diesel that Isuzu make the 1.9 L is only running the 1.9 class that's running the slower time [Music] ah he let out of it I wanted to see what he was going to run with the parachute out that sucks 128 let out about half track I seen that a handful of times usually the tire sake will just vibrate everything in the parachute will deploy right away [Music] [Applause] [Music] all right we're getting deeper in the eight 833 252 km an hour [Music] [Applause] that worked out perfect he stopped rolling cold right when he came to me everyone else got smoked out though [Music] 16 [Music] something happened I think he in the sand [Music] trap luckily that was a pretty low speed wreck he just slid looks like locked up the brakes for some reason didn't want to go in the sand trap probably probably should have unfortunately working our way up in the class we a pro truck coming up next and he's just getting more and more serious two tassi pickup trucks they cut the back fenders off so they can fit the big tires in here big single turbo things are going to get a lot more serious here probably see some mid s second passes my guess just looking at these things you know I was just wondering if there was a way that things could get more complicated for today and there is uh I hadn't considered rain we're done with the monsoon season but it doesn't mean it's not going to rain here in Thailand and this has get been getting closer and closer and closer so yeah nothing has got to play today absolutely nothing so we'll just deal with this as it happen [Music] [Music] yeah yeah I know that okay his I was hoping to see was I was hoping to see an app that showed the radar he just typed in the translate Heavy Rain I can see that behind me that's pretty evident look at this [Music] here [Music] [Music] 7.6 second pass not bad that's sick by the way before we get drenched murder's in the house he's from Texas I'm from Nebraska here we are in Thailand y you trans here for a few months right yes sir I came out here to enjoy horrible time right yeah it's amazing it's amazing the food is amazing the cars the culture the people yeah as you can see look how packed it is and it it's probably like 10 passes a day yeah but these people love the sport so much that they it's jam-packed literally until about it's about to rain right now yeah I can see the rain coming at the end of the track everybody's running good see you man good seeing you brother [Music] hey [Music] the official word after about 20 minutes of the torrential downpour is they're going to clean the track as good as they can with their track equipment which is squeegee and then let the racers decide if they want to continue racing so in a couple hours we'll find out whether or not we're racing or not so stay tuned hello [Music] one of my favorite cars on the property in the 275 a class is this 180sx with the S15 front end on it rocking a 2JZ running somewhere in the mid 8s this is one of Chad's friends they call him hippo and you can see on these cars what I was talking about with this the uh the rear alignment look at how the alignment sticks out and it's towed in such an unusual uh such an unusual setup I guess when they launch it it straightens out but one platform I almost forgot I just found a Drager with a dmax engine in it 3 l 4cylinder just like the trucks are running 1100 horsepower on Boost it's got compound turbo set up on here one two 4 cylinder engine 2,000 lb 1100 horsepower and boost only they put some nitrous on it another 500 horsepower it's at 1,600 horsepower total and they're trying to get the track pre right now these guys are down to run they just took a look at the track and said they're ready to run whenever they get the track dri so we'll see if we get to see some [Music] passes it's 8:15 it rained at 5:30 it's been 2 and 1/2 hours since it rained the track is mostly dry on the short track down on the top end is a different story they're working on that right now but I want to show you something the entire Grand stands here are packed if we were in the US there probably about 20 people in the grand stands right now after a 2 and 1 half hour clean up there's only three and a half classes left probably about 15 cars left to race and the stands are absolutely packed there is nowhere to sit right now wild our second quickest class of the event is the pro Max class it's basically it's a promod class we've got a Lexus bodied carbon fiber drag St over here 2JZ powered stock displacement 1,600 h power this car has been as quick as a 71 here in Thailand on this track basically no prep track so that's very impressive just ran into two of the other Pro Max cars we had the Super Pig promod dmax trucks here I'm curious what's under the hood here they're going to pull it off let me see right now uh yep definitely diesel look how tiny it is in here very small we got a compound turbo set up over here big Big Boy down here medium siiz turbo up top sweet the track is dry it's time to run again we got the super Rebo trucks back out here again and then we're going to finish out the rest of the classes right after these [Music] guys [Music] spee [Music] spee he was literally like a half foot from the wall there still ran a 980 dang stick Shi with that pretty good [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] launch sure seems to take a long time to get that thing spooled up I guess the four-cylinder diesels don't have as much torque as the six and8 Cylinder Diesels but it sure smoked this place out with diesel [Applause] [Music] smoke [Music] [Music] oh [Music] 926 best pass of the night for that class let's see what's coming up next for the class things are starting to get a little crazy down here the blown Hemi dragster is getting ready to run this is the fastest the guy that owns this has been the fastest ever down a drag strip in Thailand 6.1 seconds in the quarter mile this is a new setup I guess might be a new Eng of this new chassis I believe hoping to be in the fives probably not on this track after the rain and the cleanup just a few hours ago but they're getting the car prepared so they're getting prepared to run tonight be interesting to see what it does if it makes it down the track talk about it you this guy is not going to add any weight to this vehicle prob 140 lb like 5 fo 6 this is the fastest vehicle anything go down the track here at Bangkok drag Avenue let's see what he runs tonight one other difference I have to point out between us and Thai drag racing there's this thing that Chad keeps telling me called tie time things take a lot longer here it's kind of like Island time when you're on a cruise um I've seen we started racing again 2 hours ago we've seen five vehicles going down the track they're dressing him putting him in the dragster getting ready right in the burnout box there's not a lot of staging Lanes things like that to get ready in here so this just the way do they do it here along with the single car finals here today um I mean there's only been probably 30 cars that have ran today maybe 40 so we're just it's just a whole different world for me w [Music] time to see what boy can do in his 2JZ powered ISF this is the fastest door car class on the property this is prom Max here we go hell yeah now that's a burnout that's some wheel speed on that [Music] one took him 12 seconds to get there but he put on a show for the crowd another engine combo we haven't seen yet in the Pro dragster class this is a one U engine from the Lexus Toyota with a big single turbo and two nitrous bottles feeding into it this is going to make some serious power hopefully she gets down the track [Applause] here apparently this is his third engine of the weekend so we're going to say a little prayer for him before he goes down the track the one you Z with a big turb on it sounds very unusual it's nothing like you sound it on any other vehicle here [Music] today that was usual I have ever heard out of vehicle that engine sounds really weird to begin with but that's just yeah no impressive no impressive passes tonight the track conditions just aren't there this another one of our PR Max entries Bangkok first stop of the day is the Bangkok motor Expo a lot of the big big manufacturers are out here in full force mainly an influence mainly emphasis on Asian Brands because it's so expensive to import cars here to Thailand 300% tax when you import a car let me show you a few examples here the TT Coupe here I think these are probably about $6,000 Us in the states 3.6 million bot is right around $104,000 that's ridiculous we got the rsq8 over here I'm really curious what this one is 11,900 bot that's $348,000 for a rsq8 oh my God this guy almost die Jesus okay by the way we're back on the road again yes we are thankfully for now so uh ,000 bot is how much US dollar 30 $30 okay so we're going to do what next we're going to buy $30 worth of bananas okay and we're going to feed the to Nong in Chad's blue waffle evo9 I love your car names yeah very unique right motor yeah it's a literally a uh bone stock fully restored evo9 it has HKS catback T coilovers and a super nice stereo system and I just have it as a solid daily driver and then we're going to see cream pie at the end of this video so stay tuned we'll show you that car cuz it is amazing all right so we the botanical gardens is what this place is known for but the guy's wife got the Botanical Gardens and he got What's called the car Garden so basically he made a deal with his wife that if she could build this biggest Botanical Garden in the world if he had facilities to store his cars so this is car Garden number one and then on the other side there's car Garden number two and they're both full of very unique and some very weird cars that are really rare in Thailand and worth a ton of money like I know this is dumb it's it's an HHR SSR SSR I know this is dumb and it is but the am ount of tax that he paid to bring this into the country I mean this is he probably has a quar million US dollars in this thing but it's still here and it's the only SSR I've seen in Thailand cuz who else would spend a qu million US dollars to get one of these in the country nobody nobody there's a shirt behind me with a shirt trailer there's a Lotus spree look at that I think that's a TVR all three of these are lotuses he has some lotuses that you do not you never knew existed some very weird I've never seen that I don't think you've never seen that Lotus before I've never seen it before that's a Lotus as well but it's like it's it's actually like some other company called Javan oh okay I thought it was a TBR cuz the headlights some they take a Lotus [Music] and wet [Music] 50 bot you get to feed elephants that's like a150 something like that hello oh my [Music] God hell this Grand lad no it's like [Music] car garage number two right away rotary four RoR four RoR uh FD this is a full-blown drift car Jesus yeah I actually saw this car at the garage uh maybe about 2 months ago so I walked in I was shocked to see it here cuz it was at my friend's garage they're working on it this is you see where all this is cut out for the angle angle kit yeah yeah Drifter boy things it's a Billet fourer oh my God see it is yeah it's a bu four Jesus so these are the more serious cars we got the Ford GT and the Ford GT has a Whipple on it as well yeah it's the only Ford GT I've ever seen in Thailand that car here I would guess I don't know 1.2 to 1.5 million in us it's about triple what you get it for back home yeah about triple yeah it's the only one I've ever seen 2 million yeah maybe C6 ZR1 yep the only see the only ZR1 I've ever seen in Thailand as well I got [Music] [Music] y all right Chad we can't come to Thailand without seeing your cream pie this is cream pie my BMW E30 so it's been fully restored using a pandem widebody kit and it's powered by an S65 4 L BMW M3 V8 and the matching six-speed manual transmission that came out of an e92 M3 so the engine is essentially stock it has intake Uh custom side exhaust and it's powered by an mtron standal alone ECU out of Australia uh it makes 350 wheel horsepower 280 wheel torque revs out to 9,000 RPM besides that uh yeah it's got bride seats roll cage nardy steering wheel one of my favorite Wheels the Oz futuras um yeah and it's just a really clean very fun car like Kyle I'm very spoiled when it comes to cars so for my personal project I didn't really want something that was super fast but I just wanted something that was a very engaging exciting uh Driving Experience and this naturally aspirated German M3 V8 in this little E30 is a very wild ride especially with the side pipes with the side pipes both screams it is such a screamer it essentially has uh two 12-in resonators with no mufflers and once it gets up to the 8,000 plus RPM range it's just it sounds wild the burbles on the downshifts and everything you know what let me show you we're going to go for a rip to fin out this video let's do [Music] it hell yeah love this car man it's so good somebody pinched me I'm rolling around Thailand in cream pie with dad this car is a total Legend man everyone here loves it you can't take it out without no five white dudes stopping and yeah they're like oh it's cran poie we were filming this and somebody stopped us yeah yeah favorite place to drive by here welcome to Thailand BMW owners do use their blinkers sometimes yeah first gear hit ready yeah [Music] oh the [Music] sounds oh my God it sounds amazing the sound is what does it man it's like semi exotic with that throy V8 what raspiness it's so raspy and it just like it's that rip it's just that [Music] tear I apologize guys if I'm slow shifting I'm having an issue with my clutch master cylinder starting to go out so but I'm doing what I can to give Kyle a proper Ride Along in something other than a uh turbo diesel big rig truck he literally got both of his cars back the same week everything's pretty much sored on the thing except for the master cylinder yeah yeah it's been in the shop for a couple months uh getting a bunch of like cosmetic and just suspension and brake stuff and I drive it a lot and the roads here beat the crap out of your car uh so if you actively drive your cars in Thailand you just got to put a lot of time and money and effort into making sure suspension bushings and wheel bearings and stuff all that taken care of um I love this car inside and out it nothing has not been touched and it's amazing I love it this is my favorite car I've ever own and I'm not a BMW guys only what did you buy it for out of curiosity cuz the prices here are very interesting so to build this car in Thailand I would say you could build this car for about 75 grand all right and I think in the US it would be D yeah be it' be 120 150 easy easy give me a down [Music] sh it's just echoing off The Jersey barriers it's so good that's why I love the side pipes [Music] yeah oh my [Music] God [Music] that's what gets me the down that's what gets me the down Shi the down ships are brutal no verbal and pop tune it's just raw German V8 Volkswagen guys eat your heart out it's just what it does the perfect way to wrap up an epic trip here in Thailand 15 days just isn't enough you have to check it out for yourself it
