Exploring A Brand New Survival Game - ENSHROUDED Gameplay Part 5

all right guys welcome back to some more enshrouded uh last episode was phenomenal um we started kind of doing a farm deal here um we still got to get that finished at some point but uh welcome back guys welcome back we went ahead we started going and knocking out some more missions now we kind of have like the advanced level missions um that we got to go and and take care of but I seen there was patch notes for an update and they kind of yeah like this like Fireball 2 I can have to actually craft this with tar and Amber and resin only thing about resin though is I haven't found a way to get resin like super super efficiently yet but Fireball 2 sounds sounds dope that's that's big damage I want the Eternal Fireball spell though that that is definite goals um Mana potions health potions okay kind of just going through and seeing if anything [Music] changed yeah the resin you get from like chopping the little trees or whatever but you only get a couple resin these trees here actually provide quite a bit of resin though these are on colored like this yeah is I don't even know if there is an eternal Fireball spell but I would love to get my hands on it yeah see right here so that tree gives you four yeah so we can see those those little trees all over the place there um I know they changed the magic chest so you can get them a bit earlier you don't need the carpenter anymore I guess so the goo else we got to start make manufacturing some goo and I think we do goo right here maybe no bug dust actually have no clue on how to make [Music] goo maybe it's in this I don't know whatever we'll figure it out um but I wanted to get right in and start knocking out some missions um we're going to head up I can't get in there yet because we need the oh is that's where we can get the glider the glider level two I can get now I think I I I know I seen someone about the glider in the patch not it's like the advanced glider or something I got my flame level three already yeah we already did that all right no glider there and here we go Advanced glider yep so we need linen and shroud sacks okay that's a nice glider man uh so the linen though I believe is made go get him H did we do linen through her uh yeah I know it's done with the flax I just don't know what we do it on is there a I do have a mission for her maybe that's what maybe her mission is for is to unlock the uh hand the hand spindle yep yeah that that was it the mission here all right so let's see let's do this one it's actually right next to my base yeah I knew we had a mission that we were waiting on to to knock that out here we go so we'll keep our eyes open for these resin trees yeah somebody's I don't know if it's human enemies or shroud Baddies humans it's close do that and Pop That George how you doing brother okay so the note that we found up on top there saying we got to go down this way so we get to respawn here can claim those yeah I mean I I was wondering that if if you could build like when you get a town like this if you could build your altar there and then like turn it into a base a lot of games though they don't allow you to uh make bases and like pois level 9 Apprentice wand ice damage still not as big as my okay so we're running around right now trying to find this damn spindle now we got to head way far up it's okay we can head to the Spire here and then and then travel over that way that went way up there [Music] [Music] man looks like there's a bunch of brown trees here so maybe we come up here for resin trees only had the two yeah I got the rake I checked that this morning or uh earlier too as soon as I got on uh The Rake is now available for to me so they patch that bug those shes get hardwood said [Music] wood yeah we also I forgot we we need an indigo and a couple other resour um in order for me to get my hands on the new Mage Set uh cuz that's what we're going to be working towards today too is getting ourselves some of that Mage Armor but I figured I'd grab some of this resin we get a little bit of clay Earl hey yeah I've been I've been enjoying the hell out of this man grab the flowers too with these ones oh oh we actually needed these cam mil flowers what was that for I forgot what we needed those four hell yes uh Jen said it actually perfectly in the chat earlier I think one of the things I really enjoy about and shrouded is what tends to happen with a lot of these survival style games like this um once you hit that mid to like end game things get really really grindy and it's not and and it gets grindy because you got to go out and you just got to get copious amounts of resources like where you start off in an early game you need like five or 10 of something by the time you get to the mid end game you need like two three four five 6,000 of said items so it gets really really resource intensive but this game the amount of things you need doesn't really scale that high it's just you just need to go to different areas new biomes explore and get different resources and instead of just more resources which I kind of prefer that style um a lot [Music] ow [Music] this Bo a level 13 dude [Music] those there some big boys right there you know what's crazy right cuz um balty was talking about an ad blocker or whatever and YouTube's like really cracking down hard on people now for like having ad blockers and [ __ ] but you want know what's crazy is the other day I was on my um my main computer which my YouTube is not logged into and sometimes like if I don't want to type on this one over here I'll like just bring up YouTube on this one or whatnot and I'll get ads cuz I usually I have I have YouTube premium on my main account so I don't I haven't seen ads in forever so tell me how the other day right chat I go on uh I I clicked on it on my other computer and an ad popped up and you want to know what the [ __ ] first ad I saw was it was for an ad blocker I was like wait what made no [ __ ] sense I'm like somebody on YouTube's not vetting the freaking the ad campains start playing The Shield a bit more instead of just F sanking this damage oh yeah I got I think I got the sword for this Shield I believe Robert the glowy blue one thing is I'm playing a pure Mage so I'm not using swords at all it's like kind of like a little challenge to myself you know because we always play like Rogue and stealth and stuff like that so this play through I was like you know what let's do something different and I've been enjoying it honestly it it's it's been really fun makes me want to consider uh playing a whole Mage when freaking Dragon Dogma 2 drops I don't know if we'll go that far I don't know if I could I don't know if I could do it chat like maybe if it like would you guys be proud of me if I if I did something like that or should I just stick to what I do best [Music] a oh [Music] I didn't see anything inside oh maybe through nope y this way thought I had a hip Lantern or some [ __ ] maybe that was pound world I'm thinking about [Music] for what do we get from [Music] this that goo stuff oh it's not good this yeah there's a whole [ __ ] horde of spiders man I'm going to have to waste my bombs George with the Super Chat brother dropping a code for Dragon Dog in the chat that's so kind to you man hope you're having a great day brother okay there it is okay we got two more Miss oh look at that lost in a shroud look at that bow man that bow is sick we got these two missions here we're going to knock out here after we're done now we'll be able to do the spindle I need to get a better pickaxe that is one of the things we got to find out how to do now smelter okay where there's fire There's Hope Crucible needed for crafting I really need a smelter but uh requires a crucible I used to have one I bet the Scavengers got it it's probably out their mine okay the tank set Adventure set Rising fighter set and then the first set oh you can build your own grappling hooks uh anchors at your base that's cool okay so we got to go out and get this guy his uh his Crucible yeah I got some copper we already mined up some copper earlier um did we mined up a little bit right build her spindle oh that's think's tiny okay so we still can't get a bigger backpack um me see okay you craft on it linen here we go so we just need flax so we'll go grab all the flax we have we'll get that going in the linen I have I have way more than 11 dude what I really only have 11 I thought we picked a bunch of flax last stream when we went up north Run Wolf what's going on those blue mushrooms give plus four intelligence when cooked that's it's pretty significant that's a pretty big upgrade from the mushrooms we have currently the little wiener mushrooms you know this is better than the wolf meat right wh oh so that's one way to get tar burn your food and then or cook your food and then burn it I think though in most games there's an accusation that the ma the Mage classes are op see my thing is when it comes to that is I feel like Mages can be powerful I don't know I've never like people said in World of Warcraft like oh Mage is so op not when I [ __ ] played it man that [ __ ] I always felt like it felt like when I was playing melee all the Mages were just rocking you know what I mean and then when I would Swatch swap over to maid then I felt like all the melees were rocking and I'm just like dude I feel like everything can be op if you like in especially like games like Elder ring like like where Mages can be super powerful there's also other classes that are just super super broken too so but knowing my luck my Mage will just continue to be regular I do have some Mana regen yeah Robert my goal is to get the new Mage Armor because there's a lot of mana on that new armor Midstream ads are out of control it should only be one every 30 minutes George there should have been I think an ad probably just went off but it should be only every 30 minutes um oh we got to cook the mushrooms [Music] too so uh so the thing about the ads is it doesn't I I run the lowest ads you could possibly run because I don't want you know to disrupt the viewing um and I just do what I got to do to appease the YouTube Gods you know what I mean um they want us running ads real so so I'm running ads but um I run the lowest amount of ads is possible so it only shows it to a small group of people and it only shows it to that small group of people once every 30 minutes yeah they want us running the balanced ad format um but I'm like N I ain't running that [ __ ] but I it seems like I've been doing okay you know like my I I don't feel like my streams have being been suppressed um like they were before I feel like everything's been fine since we turned them on for the most part there we go so we got those cooked up we got the new meat we got the strawberries I have not started the The Farm yet no no I not done that we're just kind of running around trying to knock out these missions real quick um I do got a little bit of linen here I want to get that glider done damnn that was it only five yeah we got we definitely got to go out and get more flax look what I have to offer how much did we need for that okay so we needed four and then shroud sacks let's go farm up these shroud sacks real quick too oh yeah my my streams were getting suppressed as like crazy uh ezel so Oro so what happens is um if you have a non-monetized YouTube channel like you're you know you're below a th000 subscribers or whatever and you're not monetized um YouTube will never suggest your videos like you'll never pop up in people suggested because why is YouTube going to suggest a video that they're not going to make any money on whatsoever so they don't um they don't suggest any Dem unmonetized content so that's why a lot of smaller content creators we had to do our our marketing ourselves if you wanted to promote your videos you had to promote them yourselves because YouTube's not going to do it for you um and what was happening at least what what me and a bunch of peers were uh kind of realizing is when you don't run ads on your live stream YouTube treats as unmonetized content so they're going to prioritize other streams who are running ads over years and you kind of get pushed down to the bottom of the barrel because they're not making money off of it so okay so we got some missions up there already cleared that well um in here I believe we can find some of those shroud sacks because super chats aren't guaranteed Jens um yeah super chats are not a guaranteed income like YouTube knows if ads are being run people are getting paid you know what I mean um I've had plenty of super uh you know more streams than not that have been you know not a single Super Chat you know what I mean but like I said it's all good so we're looking for those little turret plants right those have the Shroud sacks in them right yeah right one right there perfect you wanted to buy this game but I'm wor someone will kill me immediately does it have solo servers yes Lisa you can play this game 100% single player um you just make your own little private server and you can play and play is slow and you don't have to worry about nothing it's it's beautiful I actually haven't seen what this game even looks like multiplayer okay we're up to five oh [ __ ] might step out of the Shroud real quick just to reup my uh my timer so we got to get a few more of these going uh did I upgrade all my ons uh I didn't upgrade that new one I got cuz actually got to look into doing that when we get back so I got this uh oh yeah this one we haven't upgraded yet The Scorch yeah and then this one I got too I haven't upgraded and we got this one too that have haven't been upgraded I don't even yeah we upgraded this staff but we haven't upgraded our wand h come on do one more little turret plant bro there we go Anderson brother what's going on man thank you so much for the Super a little bit of uh we use a little bit check out updraft yeah I heard that that helps with gliding right all right so Journal quests Crucible for the smelter um reach the capital pikeman's reach the what does the journal say the equipment chest was taken re say his former camp and unearth the equipment chest so it's buried over here somewhere probably in this Rubble [Music] here there it is nice Warrior helmet too bad we're not a warrior Nick holy [ __ ] dude dropping the huge Super Chat man have to grow the bro I appreciate that man seriously I really appreciate that Elixir for Forge location okay so we could head up to these two here and then we'll hit these two to the South uh does it is it worth it to quit a 9o5 and focus on YouTube oh no um I would I would definitely have to grow the family definitely would I like so for instance how I did it um was I I did YouTube I started in 2019 I was driving truck full-time um I did didn't quit YouTube or quit my job until the losses between switching from one job to the next was minimum so like say you know like you're like me and you're making $40 $50,000 a year and then say you're like okay you know I can go to YouTube and maybe make you know 30 40 around the same amount then um that that's what I did but then at the same time we also messed up and that's why I put myself into a situation was because there was things that I didn't take into consideration that my full-time job you know my normal job covered like Medical Dental um you know having to pay taxes and and all this other stuff it was just a whole bunch of stuff that I never took into consideration and uh kind of whoa kind of sneaks up on you um so if I were to tell anybody like if if you're doing YouTube and you start making money I would wait until you make at least 20% more than what you were making at your normal job because you got to take there's so many things you have to take into consideration uh but yeah you don't I wouldn't quit a job and then start you cuz no there's no guarantee that you're even going to ever you know I think like only 5% of channels are monetized or something like that so it it's very very hard grind takes a lot of a lot of commitment and um even with all that commitment there's no guarantee that you know it's going to work out but yeah there's a there's definitely a big thing you want to make sure so I'd say yeah if you're going to switch to full time make sure your job but then at the same time now you're going to lose a whole income so say you're you know you're manage you are balancing both say say you're making $40,000 a year with your full-time job and then say your YouTube account is now getting you40 ,000 a year also are you really going to stop doing one cuz you're obviously at a point right now where you're making 40,000 on both are you going to stop doing one and then just go down and making only 40,000 like so that that's where it's really really hard for a lot of people to kind of make that jump over to full-time because you're going to take a huge pay cut I did I took we took a enormous pay cut when I first came over cuz you do you go from having two incomes to only having the one and it's it's rough it is super super rough all right and I feel like that's where probably most uh YouTubers struggle is uh having to drop one of your uh streams of income and then going down to only one stream it's cryptic said has that's why I still work a full-time job it's rough dude yeah you know what I mean cuz you got you're going to take that L now granted like that will ALS that will give you more time to invest in your but your YouTube but there's nothing saying that that time investment's going to make up for that that money you lost it's it's just one of those things all if it wasn't for my va stuff um huh yeah if it wasn't for my va stuff I would not even have been able to go full-time uh because healthc care for my family would have cost me about $2,000 a month for me to pay for it on my own or what yeah well the 2,000 was that that crappy bronze plan it was like it was like the lowest possible healthc care plan that I could get and ,000 deductible yeah the deductible was massive it was it was it was unbelievable how expensive um healthc care was I was like yeah [ __ ] this dude whoops did not mean to do that oh Robert they had a jump scare Dono dude oh yeah uh Frank my my VA is at 100 yeah if it wasn't for my va I wouldn't be able to do what I do uh [ __ ] um it really helped out okay so we're good on that we'll sleep and then we'll head out we'll knock out these in the morning I missed a good chest at gear chest at that farm of course I did I appreciate it Frank seriously bro I appreciate it man no I um my VA situation was weird cuz I could have got 100% when I first got out soz like PTSD the whole [ __ ] I was dealing with being blown up TBI and stuff um but uh even though they say there's no negative stigma to the PTSD moniker on your your your record um I wanted to be law enforcement when I got out of the military that was my that was like my goal that was like something I was striving for and um I don't care what they say if I would have went and I would have had 100% military dis disability for post-traumatic stress disorder they would have took one look at my service record and be like bro you ain't being a [ __ ] cop dude it would have been too that would have been too much of a liability I don't care what they say so I I begged and pleaded for them to not put it in my record um cuz I wanted to become a cop um so they did what they could do and uh I ended up only taking when I first got out what was it 40% or 60% it was like 40% or something like that I I waved a rest huh yeah so I waved like most of my VA cuz I was like I don't want to I don't want to mess myself up trying to be get the job I want uh so yeah I waved most of it and then uh once I realized you know I wasn't going to do that anymore I went through and I kind of Unearthed my benefits I actually started going to VA hospital again and um you know took advantage of my my benefits but yeah at first I tried to close the book on it cuz I was like nah bro I'm I'm definitely going to get punished for this uhuh yeah yeah it's not it's not a proud moment to sit there and be like yeah you know I'm mentally [ __ ] up because I went to war and watch my friends die and all this other [ __ ] and you know what I mean it's just people look at it kind of as like a weakness like oh bro you can't even handle your [ __ ] bro get your [ __ ] together devil dog like what the [ __ ] you know what I mean so there's a lot of guys out there who are suffering and they they'll never they'll just suffer for the rest of their lives because they they think it makes them look weak and that was me for a really long time like yeah cryptic it's rough dude and I mean I get it you know I've served with all the guys I I know I know how it is you know what I mean we all you go to war you come back you know people look at you different they're like oh man like holy [ __ ] you're badass you know and the last thing you want them to know is yeah dude I can't [ __ ] sleep at night you know what I mean I'm I I wake up [ __ ] drenched in sweat and can't breathe and I have panic attacks I can't stand in elevators you know what I mean like like you don't you you you sit here and I I I sometimes I'm in a meeting I got to get up and literally go and I start hyperventilating feel like I'm going to pass out in the bathroom I can't breathe I feel like the walls are closing you know what I mean like there's all this stuff that you're not going to want to sit there because you tell people this and it it ruins that that image you know that you kind of built up being like yeah I'm a [ __ ] Warrior I'm a hero I went and did all the blah blah blah blah blah you know what I mean and then you and then you start telling people what's really going on and they're like oh dude you're you're [ __ ] weak or you're you're this or that you know what I mean it's just it's not how it should be but it's just how it is you know what I [Music] mean [Music] this place is clean as [ __ ] chat y this is a really nice place yeah I mean I give the I give the VA Credit though the the VA programs they have nowadays um the compensation that they give to Veterans nowadays is so much better than what you guys had to deal with even back in like the 90s and [ __ ] it was absolutely pitiful the support that veterans got back in the day um that's why you see a lot of veterans nowadays A lot of those guys are VA reps they work in the VA um a lot of old school vets really [Music] uh they've been spending the past 20 years just advocating and advocating and going hard to Congress and all this [ __ ] to get more and more stuff for veterans because yeah you got guys going to war fighting for the country and then they come back they're all messed up in the head most of them are getting out and then they' be like oh yeah here's 400 bucks a month for the rest of your life no no nothing else no uh and then if you did get in a VA hospital you weren't able to get get in for years and then if you did get in the healthcare was absolute garbage but I definitely say they they've over the past like 15 years 10 years maybe um it's it's definitely a lot better in my opinion I I can't speak for other states at least in Upstate New York uh you know we got some really nice VA our our VA hospital here is really good in Syracuse um it's it's pretty good I got some good doctors um our VA reps are great new home base I know that place is pretty sweet I don't know I I I'm really really happy with my my own creation though you know what I mean all we got to go up this way it's like how am I going to get up there Ed poop with the 30 whole months dude holy crap and then the wifey coming in flexing with the 43 I didn't even know I had memberships for 43 months yeah so the yeah the military is weird like if you get a med Med board um you'll get uh a retirement like a full-fledged retirement um like me I didn't get a retirement even though I did 13 years I um I had I could have probably done a med board but Med boards are messy very timec consuming processes and um even when you do get a med board uh from what I was told it messes with your VA disability um and when you Med board out early the the money is not that great um huh no no we're talking like a straight up Med board like when you when you get kicked out the military for a medical I don't know I yeah I I don't know how it works like that but yeah I'm pretty sure if you get Med boarded uh they they probably do put stipulations on your money and whether you can work or not it's there's all types of weird weird rules oh [ __ ] carry the grapple gun with me I I have my grapple yeah you have your grapple in your um it's right here come on go a shot your that didn't hit [Music] him no but uh for those of you guys who are vets you guys probably seen the mil or even serving active the military did just get a huge well not huge but it was a pretty big uh they called it the counter inflation pay raise or some [ __ ] it was the biggest pay raise I think we've gotten in like 30 years or whatever um but it it was was pretty good you know what I mean um was like 5% or something like that it was it was huge usually it's like one like 1% or like less than a percent uh but it was like five whole percent it it was it was ridiculous next CU one of my buddy who's still in right now he was like yeah dude we're getting like a 5% pay raise and I was like yeah dude me too yeah bab but when you say time time Wiz wizard you can't just say time wizard I know I I didn't know how to type you got to say the time wizard huh I don't know how to type it though wizardz like like like like somebody from Boston huh like cheese yeah the time wizard huh no you can't say that that's that that's lame can't just say the time wizard will I use the wizard build the wizard build in the next games um I thought about we've been talking about that you know like um Dragon Dogma for instance you know I've never played Mage I was like oh maybe maybe I'll play some more maid you know in future games I don't know we'll see guys we'll just have to see no no no don't do that is it in here no I came in here right that we definitely didn't come in here yeah I was waiting for the guys to be done with the thing so we could set up yeah that's the location is below on Soul mask any idea how big this are the servers I don't I could not tell you legitimately leer um how big the servers are I I I haven't I haven't seen that game multiplayer so I I don't I honestly don't know maybe it was in here yeah there's a trap here we go take to town that's a that's an axe that's not going to do much for me got another level baby there's The Crucible okay that's what the blacksmith needed oh damn legendary spectral Shield this five block 32 Parry power and fire resistance man block sounds kind of low and it doesn't give us the health that this one does but we get a little bit of fire resistance that's it the health on this Shield is just still so [Music] big now granted this one goes more with the Mage like um what would you say it goes more with the Mage like aesthetic compared to the other Shield cuz it's like an actual like spectral Shield but should aesthetic really aesthetic doesn't really matter when it comes to actual game play even though as much as I want it to got an increase on VA and so that that's that's awesome Pat that's awesome yeah it was it was a it was a good pay bump man obviously you know it's It's never enough but it was a good one I can't eat a mushroom G well I did eat a mushroom my my three slots are full yeah see I already yeah I already I already have one in my system okay so we could head south to these style before St that's so that's how I feel most of the [Music] time um I don't even know if we can get out that way we probably go run this way what what you pointing out it said up what oh okay a lot of Mines here h [Music] and it's the biggest increase that you can remember in 30 that's what I heard Pat I heard is like I I seen like you know the small ones but I've never noticed a a raise over you know the couple years I've had disability I've never even noticed uh the military disability increases they been so insignificant okay nice so I got us eight more markers so I'll take it this is that Capital Area yeah so I'm going to grab all this Indigo we don't let me forget chat when we get back to base next time we have to uh see what we're missing for the Mage Armor so I want to get that Mage Armor uh upgrade but I them fire on liners bro it's amazing so amazing huh B Be slay always okay yeah we could slay that one right there he so we got another one here uh play Infamous Second yeah so I plan on checking out the Infamous games at some point um they're just I don't even know how to play them I don't know if I got to like find them on a PlayStation store or whatnot um but yeah there are games I do play on but yeah I don't I I never really uh got into like the my player stuff because it's competitive especially if you make the AI good uh play on Hall of Fame you can't just trade for anything so it was it was real competitive to try to like Scout draft picks and stuff like that so you had to make sure you had good Scouts and try to get the good rookies and [ __ ] like that it it was it was tons of fun man I used to I used to absolutely have a blast with uh my the dynasty mode and uh 2K Nick's got a real shot this year man I should probably actually look into it a little bit all right let me see how I was trying to do it you could just do it with the building hammer and a after we were just doing the ground I think I know exactly how we we do it but yes it did seem much much easier there we
