changes and that she found him impressive expressing a desire to learn from him however he quickly dismissed the idea insisting he wasn't impressive at all he reflected on his own experiences acknowledging that this wasn't his first time facing uncertainties about the future in his first high school life he had vague insecurities but chose to ignore them opting instead to be optimistic and wing it however that approach led him down a path of 12 years as a corporate slave only after dying once did he realize the Folly of his actions and the need to actively pursue his goals he felt he didn't deserve to be seen as impressive Sho countered affirming that he was in indeed impressive she noted that many people believe that if they worked hard enough they could become their ideal selves but acknowledged that such transformation required a tremendous amount of energy that's why when Shin began taking steps in that direction she found it cool Shin felt a bit bashful at her comment when she asked him what was wrong he brushed it off saying it was nothing and suggested they get back to studying chemistry deep down though a swirling mix of emotions simmered beneath the surface barely contained it was a strange sensation pulsating within him on the verge of bursting forth after a while she mentioned how she couldn't wait for the Culture Festival Shin thought that their Afterschool study sessions had become a regular thing and they were currently taking a break he asked her if she liked the Culture Festival she replied that she liked all the festivals and the truth was when she was little she didn't go to any festivals which is why she enjoyed seeing Lively festivals with a good atmosphere Shin thought that a family as prestigious as hers would have a lot going on GI preparing something she asks what he's doing and he replies that he's making some Takaki she retorts that she can see that but wonders why he explains that he wants to prevent shijo from feeling sad Conor questions how takoyaki would help with that asking if shijo would cheer up just by eating it he denies it and tells her not to mock shijo like that Kana expresses disbelief saying she he can't thanking the caller for business inquires about the price he apologizes and explains they might not have enough room in the budget so he's considering asking for a discount he negotiates saying he's thinking about them and eventually works out a deal he thanks the person and assures them that Shin will contact them again in a few days he glanced at cona and asked what was bothering her she replied that it was her line and questioned why he was talking in such a stiff office worker like Manor Shin realized he had slipped into his old business talk from his office days during the phone call and explained that he was talking with a businessman so he naturally fell into that mode Connor reassured him that he wasn't being weird or anything then she asked what he was up to noting that he seemed to be doing something for sho's sake Shin insisted that he wasn't putting an effort just to entertain K she replied that she couldn't help finding his heroic Endeavors interesting and declared herself his number one fan Shin pointed out that he wasn't trying to hide anything she laughed and teased him for going to such lengths already he told her not to laugh and emphasize that he plan he wants to lay out he figures they all should decide together if it's any good and he's even willing to take over the meeting for a bit someone's like is shin for real or what suddenly he's Mr talkative others chime in telling him to chill out saying he's been getting too carried away lately Shin's doing the math in his head thinking it's like 8 to1 to one most of the students are just set against it the rest of the students about 80% of them are probably up for anything that'll shake things up even though the anti- shin crowd makes up 20% they're the loudest ones in the room and that's when he decides to Rally the 80% behind him and put the kibos on the naysayers he whips out this chart showing how much time they've got left before the Culture Festival along with all the prep time needed for each exhibit and the costs involved he's even got the problems and stuff all grafted out he Narrows down the doable options and lays it out for everyone people are freaking amazed to see all this data laid out so clearly they're like wo Shin went all out on this Shin explains that according to the Chart the haunted house and the Japanese garden won't be ready in time which is a major bummer he's been trying to get the green light for Nashi Sun but getting approval from the health center is like pulling teeth then there's the indoor maze which he's saying is a nogo he starts Crossing stuff off the chart like sorry guys this ain't happening and then he mentions they still have the traditional takoyaki Cafe option but there's no time left to argue about which is better he pulls out another chart and reveals his genius plan a Japanese style takoyaki Cafe combining both ideas the taaki would come in four flavors and they'd offer different kinds of juices to wash it down all at a reasonable price plus it wouldn't clash with the other flower based stuff from other classes and it wouldn't be too hard to prep some students are totally on board with it akasaki even says it sounds kind of good Shin's thinking all right akasaki is showing her true colors now he doesn't mean anything bad by it but he's just making sure she's really on board after all having a bad attitude could make it tough for her to find a job later but hey the devil's in the details right shins got a couple of spicy ideas to Jazz things up like this extreme takoyaki surprise where one of them's filled with Wasabi that's so intense even the adults might struggle akasaki thinks it sounds awesome Shin's thinking she's a bit naive but he already knew she was into those variety shows Shin keeps the momentum going by suggesting that the staff should rock some festive attire like yukatas and Hamas akasaki all in saying it'll really amp up the festive Vibe K's being the responsible one just wants to make sure they're not blowing the budget but Shin's already one step ahead telling them he haggled with the rental store and kept it within their limit K's eyes widen in surprise at Shin's negotiating skills the other students are loving it saying it's like stepping into a festival the combo of Japanese threads and taaki is spoton and the yucat add the cute Factor Shin's thinking it's all coming together nicely and now most of them are fully on board with his idea compared to previous meetings everyone's feeling way more relieved just then Nora butts in saying this whole thing sounds like a hassle and that they should just stick to simple exhibits others nod in agreement questioning who's going to take on all that extra work Shin's thinking Nora just wants to take the easy road which isn't surprising but here's the kicker Nora isn't totally against Shin's idea even though he's not thrilled about about shin being the one calling the shots noro is not into the idea of a gloomy dude like shin leading the charge even though the rest of the naysayers are trying to find Middle Ground Nora and his buddy are still being a pain but Shin's got a plan to handle them
