hey everybody it's lavender town and today I'm going to be trying out seven different drawing tablets and trying to find the best one the worst one and basically which one you should get depending on what stage of your art career you're in I'll start by showing you guys the cheapest and the oldest ones and then I will finish with some unboxings of the brand-new fancy err models that are currently on the market first up the huion of 420 now this is one of the most inexpensive drawing tablets you can find it goes from $20 to $30 right now and it also has a very cute seafoam green kind of teal design and white accents which you don't usually see it also comes with the drivers on a disc and a cord to plug it in but not much else it doesn't have an eraser and it's extremely small which are the primary issues with this little tablet for the value I'd give it a four out of five because I do think that $20 is a good price for a functioning drawing tablet though I wouldn't pay much more than that the look and design gets a four out of five as well I think that the look is really cute and should get a five out of five however the design lacks a lot of things that you really need on a drawing tablet such as programmable buttons and an eraser things like that and I think that having a battery inside the pen makes it a little too heavy and lastly for the feel of actually drawing in it I give it a 2 out of 5 now this next one is the first Wacom tablet that I'm going to be showing this is an older model of bamboo and it's an entry level tablet from a few years ago it has two programmable buttons but no eraser and it basically just works as a travel tablet there's a little loop on the side to hold your pen and it has electric green accents I looked it up and it looks like you can get one on eBay for only $60 right now I think I'd give it a 5 out of 5 on the e value because this is the first tablet I've ever used this under $100 that really works just about as well as you need it to the pen pressure is fantastic for that price point and it has lasted me many years without giving me any trouble for the design I'd probably give it a 4 out of 5 mainly just because I think that the new colors are using as accents are much cuter and I really wish there were buttons or an eraser but the feel is a five out of five next up is the Wacom Intuos 4 at a medium size and this is the first tablet that I ever got I got it for Christmas when I was 15 years old and it has worked like a charm ever since it has eight buttons not including the one at the center of the touch wheel and there's also two buttons on the pen as well as an eraser it was $300 when my family first got it for me but now the price that you can get it for it varies it's pretty much impossible to find one that's not used now though I was able to find a few on eBay that looked like they haven't been used much at all and those were going for around $200 in general I think the value is a four out of five as it is now because I think that's a little steep for something that is used the design gets a 5 out of 5 because of all the buttons the touch wheel and the fact there's two ports for you to plug in your tablet the touch wheel is honestly a game changer and I miss it on every tablet that doesn't have one and lastly the field gets a 5 out of 5 it has really good pen pressure and it's just a joy to draw on now this is the brand-new version of the Wacom Intuos and quite a few things have changed since I last have seen and in two O's I got it sent to me brand new from Wacom so I decided to wait to unbox it until I was filming this video now my first impression of it was that it's very light and it has this very nice color on the back I quite like the accent color of that seafoam green it's a pretty small tablet and it has the same little fabric II loop at the top that the bamboo used to have as well as four little clicky buttons and I was surprised to see that there's a power button on it that started blinking right away when I took it out of the package because I didn't realize that this was a bluetooth tablet which basically means you don't have to have it plugged into your computer at all times it'll allow you to get a lot more comfortable and not have to worry about getting tangled in wires I also like that they changed the little charging cord to an L shape it's kind of a small detail but it's those things that really stick with you when you use something a lot this tablet cost $200 which i think is a very good value of five out of five for sure the design is really cute and I quite like the new buttons they have their super clicky and satisfying my only problem with the whole design is that there is no eraser and that does really bother me as someone who uses mine a lot so the design gets a four out of five I think the feel is the best part it just works perfectly it's super light and you can get as comfortable as you want with it because it's wireless so that gets a 5 out of 5 next up is the Wacom Cintiq pro now Wacom also sent me this one and so I also waited to unbox it until I could make this video now it is a 13-inch Cintiq Pro and the first thing that I noticed is that is very light now I have had these types of screened tablets before and I'll show you the one that I had been using previously right after this one but I was just shocked that a tablet with a screen could be as light and slim as this one I had a lot of fun on peeling the plastic off of all these little cords I was actually quite worried that it would be overwhelming to have so many cords but luckily they give you a little metal hub that you plug them all into so it actually becomes fairly simple and straightforward to figure out where they're all supposed to go to and then you can just sort of push them all into a little cranny behind your computer and everything actually ends up looking pretty neat so I was really glad about that because I hate having cords sort of flipping out all over the place it's really nice that they had something to consolidate them because yeah it's a lot of cords one of the big things I noticed with this Cintiq Pro is there's a lot of pieces that are metal or that just feel more sturdy and heavy than other tablet type things that I've used for example the bottom of this weighted pen holder is made out of metal and I really really like having stuff like that things that are not all plastic II it just really adds to the design and makes it all feel more substantial so the price for this tablet is $800 and that's pretty shockingly low for a screen type tablet like this so tEEX have often been over and dollars for a new one so I was pleasantly surprised by the price if this tablet lasts as long as all my other Wacom stuff it's definitely a 5 out of 5 on the value scale I'm also giving it full points on feel and design it's just a beautiful tablet and the screen is somehow nice to draw on but also very clear and colorful to look at which is a hard balance to strike I was going to take a half point off because there's no buttons on the tablet itself but I realized that adding physical buttons would in fact ruin the super seamless design so I couldn't bring myself to do it now for the most expensive one of the bunch this is the Wacom Cintiq companion 2 I got this as a gift from my parents thank you so much to them I don't know if you've noticed a running theme through this video but my parents have been extremely supportive of my drawing and my drawing career all throughout my life even when I was not very good um so I credit them majorly with a lot of the things I've been able to achieve with my art because I really don't know how far I would have gotten without them but yeah that mushy stuff aside this is a very very interesting tablet so there are screen tablets there are non screen tablets and then there are these types of tablets which are stand-alone basically you can draw on them and you don't even need a computer to hook them up to because they're their own tiny computer when it was brand new it costs about $1,500 I believe to purchase but now because only refurbished models are available you can find it for around half that price overall this tablet works really well it's awesome because it's kind of like having a digital sketchbook however there are a few things I wish they would change its an asymmetrical design which means you have to flip it with the camera upside down if you are lefty it runs its fans at full speed almost all the time which can be quite noisy and lastly it's pretty heavy to look around based on its original price I'd give the value a 3 out of 5 I'd give the design a 4 out of 5 taking up a point for that upside down camera and I'd give the feel a 5 five it's still very responsive this one was originally going to be a much earlier entry it's the CV 720 ug tablet it was sent to me when my channel was first really getting started unfortunately I don't think that it works anymore so it kind of got disqualified from this review but I did want to bring it up because it is only $22 and it is much more substantial than huion one from what I remember from the last time that I used it I thought that the pen pressure was actually pretty good and the size is perfectly acceptable but I do remember that it gave me some trouble with the chargeable pen it didn't hold a battery for very long and since it doesn't work anymore that might say something about its durability so keep those things in mind so that was my review of seven different drawing tablets I hope you guys enjoyed it and I hope that if you're gonna buy a tablet soon you do your research and carefully consider it because a good tablet can change your life in a bad tablet you'll probably just stop drawing on it really quickly so if you have any questions that you think I can answer I will try to answer some down in the comments and I will see
