there are many challenges that are facing this this nation we as a body of Christ we are standing in the gap we are praying for you we are praying for this nation and for us here we do have our phone morning with our pastor bless our hearts and go before us we pray speak to us that word Lord God that we may continuously and always and forever abide in your word now more than ever before no man can shut you out look god you are the one true king and our master and our Lord in our Savior so we give now this time to you and ask for your will to be done and it sounds most holy and awesome and very precious name when they've our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ we ask all these things and we all be together by saying good morning you know we're living in a time that the Bible spoke about but it's also a glorious time for the church to bring us to our knees to pray to ask God to tell us exactly what he wants us to do and as I was preparing last night I had my sermon all together and all of a sudden 11 o'clock in the evening the Lord said I want you to give this message so I went upstairs and I got in my office knock my office up and I just began to really begin to pray and the Lord began to comfort me excuse me to comfort me where he says in John's Gospel 14 let not your heart be troubled if you believe in me and believe also that I go to prepare a place for you and if I go to prepare a place for you I will come again to receive you unto myself so they were I am you also will be with me and I know that a lot of times you know when things happen our lives which this has been a new thing that's happened in America and the world it's not just us it's the world and I believe that as I study the Scriptures especially the book of Revelation that are we seeing these things it's preparing us not only for us to be rapture at the rapture of the church to go to heaven but also to speak to the church today the church needs to return to their first love very important because as God prepares my heart to return to my first love then as people look at my life they don't see me uptight they don't see me you know discuss it or bitter but I can say the Lord is on the throne he's on the throne and how many times you and I if I have gone through so many things in our lives that have been painful my wife having cancer that was faithful to me my my little things that I go through for the last 15 years you know you kind of wonder when is the last one I had one last right but you know I'm used to it because I know that God is on the throne goddess on the throne I don't know what I would be doing if I may have these things in my life maybe full of pride maybe just taking everything so lightly but what it does it brings me to my knees and I wait and ask God to speak to me like last night he gave me this message for you for me for the world to understand that he sits on the throne and she sits on the throne that he has my hands he asked my feet he has my heart and like Moses when he was praying and lifting up his hands unto thee unto the sky to defeat the enemy that all of a sudden when his hands would be going down his arms he they lifted up and as long as his arms were up he would defeat the enemy well maybe now we need to lift her arms to get on our knees and ask God what he really wants in our hearts and those of you watching through the internet you know wherever you are don't go to the kitchen they'll go to the refrigerator don't talk to your kids as a family sit and watch and hear what the Holy Spirit is saying to the church for me that's real important because my wife and I spent time in prayer because we know that at any time anything could happen to us and we love you so much and those watching we love you so much we don't want to leave you without the Lord we're trying to understand that God loves you Jesus loves you and he's gonna do a tremendous work in your life and in my life let me pray father I come before you lord jesus - thank you so much for your grace for your love for everything that you do everything you have done and what I pray that you give us ears like never before to hear what the Holy Spirit is going to say to us this morning Lord so not only people in the internet the people that are not here wherever they may be Lord God somehow you would speak to them father to your Holy Spirit and Lord that as we teach this morning the people that are here father that you minister to them Lord God so that when we leave here if we came in with unbelief we can live here with faith in those watching through the inner Lord - Lord God Lord that we don't come back and our giving to God because Lord we know that if you provide for us who can ever speak against us the world needs to see that our families to see that that whatever little we have we give to the gospel so the gospel can continue to be preached so not only this church but churches across America in the world will continue to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ the cross of Christ is the most important thing in our lives I just pray in your powerful name Jesus Laura I trust you I trust you in my wife my kids my grandkids and I trust you with this church that you have loaned to me Lord God it's your ministry it's not my ministry it's your message that you give to us and give us ears to hear what the Holy Spirit wants to say in Jesus name I pray amen the title of my message morning examining our hearts you know Jeremiah said the heart is deceitful desperately wicked who can know it I the Lord know your hearts man I gotta check my heart every single day every single day every single week every single month because I want to make sure like your oh my I said I want my heart to be pure I want my heart to be God's heart I want God's heart because God's heart is loving and kind and caring in all these areas of our life that we need to have at this particular moment in our lives so if Jesus if people see Jesus is my life is going to speak to them why because we're gonna have peace we're gonna have love and we're gonna be able to share with them the love of Jesus Christ that Jesus is real at this particular moment he's greater greater empower and bigger than ever before I've seen Jesus in my life let me read the scriptures he says then the Lord appeared to Solomon by night now you got to remember Solomon had built the temple and what he's going to do now here in Chapter seven as we see here we're gonna be able to see that Solomon dedicates the temple you know as he dedicates the temple remember Paul says know you not that your temple or Holy Spirit and if any man you know is what if we know that we are the temple Holy Spirit then what we need to keep it holy not to defile it if we defiled the temple of God we'll find ourselves not in the kingdom of God but in the kingdom of darkness and Paul the Apostle had got through so many things in his life and yet here Solomon not only recognizing and knowing that he had built the temple of God there you could have excuse me David could not do it your son because he was a man of blood they God promised David that his son would build a temple the house of worship the house of the Lord and that's why we're here this morning the house of the Lord we are the Temple of the Living God and if any man they follow a temple of God God Himself shall destroy him that's what it says but John 3:6 he says what for God knows God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son the whoever believed in him should not perish but have everlasting life that's what the God teaches us what he says and man I stick to that because of the Scriptures what he says to me he goes on to say then the Lord appeared to Solomon by night and said to him I have heard your prayer isn't that cool you know what when you open your lips when you open your mouth and you pray and the book of Revelation says that when we die and people we've been people people are pray for people he says what that repair of the Saints I'll run the throne of God powerful powerful the prayer is powerful as he says here I have heard your prayer which means God has a lesson in here and then he tells us to us an ear to hear let him hear what the Holy Spirit say to the church so when I read and I study God's Word I like to kind of kick back without talking to my wife or my kids or my grandkids by myself take a walk the most of time I locked myself out of my offices and I keep quiet and I have my Bible and I have a notebook in the pencil or a pen and I just wait and God will speak to me many times as I'm reading the Word of God and I write down what I've read I write down what God is saying to me personally is that was reading this chapter and I say I have the text for this morning you know I have heard your prayer I have chosen this place for myself the house of the Lord he's chosen this place so we can gather together as a body of Christ it's chose in this place in this place is a holy place if you're not a Christian here this morning man you need to know the Lord Jesus Christ you need to come to that place and look at your life in what's taking place today what's gonna take place tomorrow and the next day next week next month next year there are no security the only security is in Jesus Christ he's the only one that I can trust because the devils after every person that devil wants to destroy the church he's a pretty Bible says he's a liar he's a murderer and so for my life as I was reading the scriptures as he says here I heard your prayer and I've chosen this place for myself as a house of sacrifice sacrifice now we can't kill animals that's in the Old Testament that Jesus was a greater sacrifice for my life for your life that's what the Bible teaches the greatest sacrifice that he became my sacrifice I don't watch you but I know for me he's my great sacrifice he goes on to say when I shut up heaven and there is no rain or Commander look as to devour the land or sent pestilence among my people I imagine I'm reading this I go Lord look what's going on in the world today and he says to me these are the last days I believe that was on my heart as I read the book of Revelation as I read the book of Exodus where Moses was called by God to take the people of God out of Egypt and I'll read in a moment what he says but as he goes on now he comes to verse 14 he says if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn their wicked ways from their wicked ways then I god will hear from heaven and I will forgive their sin and heal their land and now the eyes will be open in my ears attentive to the prayer made in this place isn't that cool his ears his eyes he'll be able to see and he able to hear my prayer in this place this place your place your home wherever you pray the Lord is going to hear what you say and I remember Pastor Chuck Smith way back in the seventies yet he's talking about these things that I see today he was not only teaching the church but he was teaching the church to trust in the word to know the Word of God to know what the Bible says what's going to take place from the past to the present to the future and for me has been an encouragement because that's what I try to do in my own personal life I want to encourage you that Jesus is on the throne he's on the throne he sees he knows what's taking place and he loves you and he loves me he psalm 34 15 it says the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous his ears are open to their cry imagine that his eyes are open the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous who are the righteous you and I because we have believed by faith we become righteous because of him the Josh I live by faith and by living by faith I become righteous and I have the righteousness of God in my life and you have a - as a believer and he goes on to say and his ears are open to their cry are we crying today you bet I'm a crybaby but I'm crying to you in prayer O Lord and you and I can cry to the Lord Lord this is my situation this is my problem lord please help me please help me Lord because I know that God will help me he will help me over and over and over and they'll see you watching the internet those that are sitting here God will help us we will overcome because of Jesus Christ don't have unbelief have faith in the Lord that's what he wants us to have and you know when you study the Word of God we can remember what happened in each of remember he says in Exodus 12 to 23 and now it happened in the process of time that the king of Egypt died and then the children of Israel grown because of the bondage and they cried out in their cry came to God because of their bondage what are we going to today we're good for some circumstance the Lord is opening his ears to hear us so God heard their groaning and God remember his covenant with Abraham and with Isaac and with Jacob and God looked upon the children of Israel and gotta acknowledge them and if you read on what did God do he delivered him out of a job he took them out he had a disobedient group they were taken care of by the Lord not entering the promised land but he had those faithful people like Caleb like Joshua and these guys sons and daughters that not only went into the Promised Land but the Lord had promised the Lord was with them when we can see in our text we call we can see in our text this morning is there was a time of drought a period of pestilence a period of famine he says here in second chronicles chapter 714 and God has spoken in his word in times past in the future also he has spoken now in the last days are we in the last days you bet we are you bet we are when Daniel talked about 490 years 490 years in the last days we know that 483 years have been fulfilled and there's only 7 years in history 7 years in history and we're living in that time where the Lord is gonna come for his church before the last 7 years of world history you know why because he loves you God loves his church he wants us to be real in his word he wants us to read it to live ayat and that's why the 2nd chronicles 7:14 he says in my people if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves pray seek my face turn from their wicked ways and that I will hear from heaven and I will forgive their sin and heal their land you notice what he said my people called by his name humble pray seek notice the wicked ways to turn from that hear from heaven forgive their sins and heal their land the Lord is outlining the proper attitude anxious to regain enjoy the blessings of the Lord in our lives for example although the promise was directed to my people Israel the principles are applicable they're actually applicable to all who call upon the name of the Lord that's you that's me man we need to call upon the name of the Lord this morning totally we love you guys I love you and I don't want nothing to happen to you but I won got to speak you to live my faith to trust God so that God can work in my life and through your life - that's what God wants to do in Joelle chapter 232 he says and they shall come to pass they whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved shall be saved said 7 ayah 3 9 he says for them will receive for then I will restore it - I will restore the people's a pure language that they all may call on the name of the Lord to serve him in one Accord unity one Accord not Rory's not Dale Godard not Shama Keon not Wade not anybody here but he says what to serve him in one Accord unity unity I will share about marriages you know when the world when the husband and wife come together and they're gonna be married to each other you know they're kind of glued together and and you know when you go in a garage I'm not a wood expert but if you take you by force and you glue them together and then leave them overnight next day you go out there with a chisel a hammer he trying to take him apart what happens when the smooth surface is gone and now it's all splintered and that's what divorce does and now here we are here we are and he says here to be in one accord we need to be United totally glued together especially in hard times hard times will come but who's on the throne and who's allowing hard times and many times her times are appearance that the Lord allows it to happen to get his church to come back to come back to come back and to know him even more intimately and that's 221 he says and they shall come to pass they whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved Romans 10:13 whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved and you know there are four actions listed in the book here in the book of second chronicles in Chapter here chapter seven all the way was just read the proof to the truth of this promise number one a repentant people are what humble yourselves the Bible says there must you know they must refuse the stubbornness and the pride press him by watching history the pride of a nation the pride of the church the pride of unbelievers and then you come to that place secondly to pray as God's people the privilege God gives to us to have communion with him to have communion with him communion with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and when I was reading this I go guy Lord it's that's incredible how you want us to have communion with you and then the personal conditions of Prayer a purity heart a pure heart a heart that is pure having faith praying according to his will not according to my will according to his will not according to my will man today go home and pray according to his will the so chapters about prayer those of you that are watching the inner you guys we love you guys we love you guys we want you to take your family together and pray with them humble yourself before the Lord praying according to his will and then it comes about and he says to seek his face one of the things in the book of Chronicles seek his face it means people are to reject self seeking in self reliance on self to rely on him fully completely because of his love and His grace and mercy that he has for me that he has for you and you know how I feel about you how I feel about this world that I want to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ with my last breath because I had not only have a burn in my heart but I want to see my kids my grandkids my family they when I'm gone they will continue to worship the Lord they will continue to accept him as Lord and Savior that they will teach their children when they have their children in time to come or maybe the Lord already has come that we'll all be together in heaven and that's why it's so important for us to turn from their wicked ways he says fourthly here to turn from their wicked ways this is what how do we do it repentance the act of repentance indicates that the Lord expects us to repent to repent from everything excuse me everything that we have done maybe this morning maybe in the afternoon maybe last night but it's so cool how he wants us to repent he says to turn from their wicked ways and then you know a deeply felt rejection of self-reliance self-trust self seeking dependence upon north we want it to be depend upon him in act of submission to him to him submit in my life to him fully completely when it talks about marriage submission it means to be what to become one submission to the kingdom of God God wants us not only to look up but he wants a also to look around so that we can look up and say Lord these people need your loving grace and mercy Lord we need you and repentance gives you life real life eternal life and we want that secondly it gives you a whole new spirit the Holy Spirit that we need in our lives fully completely in a new heart and then joy today we need you what's going on in the world today we need joy the joy of the Lord that your joy may be full and I know that I watch people you know have any joy but they have sadness but I tell you that Jesus loves you and you need to have joy in your life that your children that your flavors that your friends that your enemies may see the joy in your life life new spirit new heart joy and then eternal life love that eternal life man how I want eternal life and I do have eternal life you have eternal life why because we repented Paul excuse me John says in John chapter 3 talking to Nicodemus you got to be born again of what the flesh know of the Holy Spirit and when you're born again to the Holy Spirit there's a new life there's a new communication new the way you speak the way you listen the way you see things the way you walk and maybe God is allowing this whole situation to get me back to get you back to get the world back where we're supposed to be especially the church that church will preach the gospel to people that don't know Jesus and if we do that you guys guess what's gonna happen the church won't die the church will grow the church will grow because of our prayers and because of our submission to the kingdom of God and that's why in the text here in verse 14 he says he says if my people are called my people are called by my name and will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways then I will hear from heaven and I will forgive their sin and heal their land man we need any nice States of America to be healed we need the whole world to be healed you know why because we have brothers and sisters all over the world to meet Jesus and they need our help and the way best way we can help them Easter prayer or not nice praying to God God help please help us to know you to be faithful and not to walk away in any way because of what Jesus Christ has done in our lives I'll conclude with this by aw Tozer he says men is born with his back towards God when he truly repents he turns right around and faces God repentance is a change of mind repentance is the tear in the eye of faith of faith Father I pray in your name Jesus that your Holy Spirit would be with us Lord that you would touch our hearts our Lord I pray because Laura I feel my heart just extended this morning when I help us help us to be ones or god help us to know you more intimately than ever before Jesus I pray for my family I pray for this family Lord God all around the world we have such a huge family Lord that you would watch over them that you would provide for them Lord that you annoyed them and protect them Lord in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior I pray amen we're gonna take the offering and then we're gonna
