all right folks buckle up because we've got some big news straight from the developer desk Bill 42 is dropping in 2024 and let me tell you this announcement hits me like an atomic bumb it means we'll be diving into all the chining new features of build 42 before we even ring the New Year honestly I might just have to skip my New Year celebration to syn some serious hours into project Sunway now we don't have the exact release date yet but the hype train is already left the station with a new build is still in production and more features being added we've got some breeding room to relax and prep before things get crazy now you might be wondering just how crazy can it get well my friend it is going to be wilder than a horde of sets crouching a party and that's exactly what I've made this video we're going to dive deep into all the major features headed our way in build 42 and let me be clear this isn't just because I haven't talked some B news in during the last month or so but because I've been itching for these updates like a kit eyeing a candy they can't have so without further Ado let's dive head first into everything Bild 42 has in store for us ready let's [Music] [Applause] go let's begin with the update that's got me the most excited it the introduction of not one not two but three brand new towns and a bunch of smaller locations scatter across the map now the exact locations of these new towns are still a bit of a mystery but let me lay down on my predictions we were talking about this in another video and I've got a hunch that one of these new towns might just be Brandenburg it is a sizable town west of Louisville in the real life Kentucky so it fits the bill perfectly we were also considering spots like foro to the south of malro iring town to the west of Rosewood or maybe even one of those towns to the east of Louisville like Crestwood but the question does got us all scratch in our heads will these new towns be stting areas like Riverside or will they be more like Louisville where you got to make a journey to explore them what we do know for sure is that a whopping 430 CS have been added into the map in this expansion to put that into perspective Louisville only boasts 56 CES and it is a massive City so you can bet your bottom dollar that there's some serious exploration waiting for us in these New Towns now I'm dying to hear your thoughts especially if you're a Kentucky native do you reckon the towns I mentioned are the ones making their the view in the game and what's your take on whether they'll be a starting cities sound off in the comments below I'm allers now let's talk about another J droping addition to the crafting overhaul but it is not just a facelift for crafting it is also adding new professions to the game in the form of post-apocalyptic occupations we're talking potery metal forging Stone working metal weapon crafting and Brewing these new Geeks aren't just handed to you on a seral platter oh no you got earn and by surviving long enough to earn the skills this professions demand we're also getting crafting machines boasting several tiers from basic Stone Age setups to electrical Contraptions these bad boys will be your ticket to crafting some of the new sweet items hid in the game so here is the burning question are you going to stick to your burger flipper background or are you ready to Unleash Your Inner caveman and get wild in the apocalypse one of my absolute favorite additions is the introduction of underground levels and a sky CR rapers reaching up to a whooping 32 stories let me tell you this is gamechanging it opens up a whole new world of possibilities for Epic World building that we never seen before in the game and it is not just players who benefit Ms are in for a treat too with the landscape of cities now able to undergo radical Transformations there's no limit to the exploration and Discovery forget about being confined to preexisting buildings now you can uncover hidden underground locations that could dramatically expand towns and cities and let's talk about those skycrapers places like Louisville are going to get a serious make cover with towering structures packed with amazing Loot and of course hordes of zombies just waiting to make your life interesting it is going to be like exploring brand new cities and don't get me started on the modding potential here I'm crossing my fingers for a mod inspired by terraria's underground levels who knows we might even find ourselves facing off against monsters in the depths below if you're watching this video I imagine you have played the you have one day challenge map well hold on to your hats because build 42 is bringing a bunch more of those bad boys to the game challenge maps are great because they add extra spice to your gaming experience giving you more options when you're reaching for a challenge one of the new ones we know about and I hope I'm not butchering that name is pic's many years later challenge map and let me tell you it is going to flip things on their head Big Time Imagine This way less loot to scavenge throwing you into a rocked post-apocalyptic world where years have flown by since the no event first went down we'll also get a complete make cover of the farming system we're talking about crops that actually take a realistic amount of time to grow before you can rip the rewards and guess what seasons are going to play a big role too depending on the time of the year your crops might be slower than a sloth on a Sunday ah ah many types of herbs will be able to be grown and harvested plus there are some pesky new creaters like his lugs and his nails that will be to wreck havoc on your precious crops you'll need to use commercial's luck and his na Killers to keep them a bay also tons of new seeds will be added to the game corn sunflow sugar tobacco and wheat hey officer I had a quick question um do you want to want to buy some weed for Me Maybe actually scratch that last one wheat is not actually making it into the game but hey there's always a m for that one right but just the addition of tobacco alone is going to check things up up especially if you got a smoker character in your crew and we can't talk about farming without talking about animals but you already knew that so here's a Lowdown on everything we know about animals in the game are we going to have our faithful dog companions by our site well don't get too excited just yet no confirmation on man's best friend making an appearance in the game looks like we'll have to wait a little longer before finally making use of the dog house duck plate and duck food you've been hoarding but hey Gamers Can Dream right but fear not animal lovers we've got a bunch of creators confirmed for the game including sheep pigs chicken cows rats rabbit deer turys and raccoons and they are not just there for show these guys are going to be pumping out goods and some of these materials are going to be crucial for crafting up some sweet new items so now you know it it's time to head back to that Old Farm in malro and start producing once Bild 42 goes live you might notice some changes concerning lighting certain rooms might be brighter or darker depending on various factors that were not previously significant but are now crucial as the team aims to enhance the game's immersion a significant Focus will be on light propagation with light expected to Bones of walls and SE through Windows Doors and other spaces more realistically thereby creating a more immersive effect in the game continuing in the theme of immersion the team has partnered with Formosa group a post- production company renowned for their expertise in music and sound design across various media including films commercials and video games the aim to elevate the audio experience within the game to new heights by crafting a plethora of soundtrack variations each tailored to match the intensity of different moments throughout the game play we're talking about immersion on a whole new level whether you in the midst of a heart ponding excitement or enjoying a tranquil interlude the music will seemlessly synchronize with the mood and naturally improving the music wouldn't be complete without enhancing the vocals beginning in build 42 your characters will have the ability to communicate throughout a variety of sounds noises and words several voice actors both male and female have been recruited to record these sounds giving you the option to select and customize these voices in the sandbox settings this is an example of what they have been working on hey one thing is certain in merchant reain Supreme in Bill 42 loads of new items are heading your way in the game get ready to suit up like a SWAT operative football player or Cowboy camp out in a style with cool new tents sleeping bags and backpacks UNP your protection with a bunch of fresh body armor options like chin pads shoulder pads arm guards and plenty more and that's not even half of it helmets masks costumes seriously this is just the tip of the the iceberg lots of new mechanics have been tossed into the fishing system now groups of fish will pop up depending on the area size and the initial number of fish within it keep an eye out for the splashes in the water they indicate how many fish are around oh and guess what fish are sound sensitive now so watch out for those gunshots if you're aiming for dinner tonight starting in Bill 42 you won't have to deal with the frustration of hitting an impassible black border that ruins your immersion now you'll have the freedom to explore the map's limits thanks to a randomly generated Wilderness that has been added keep in mind though this feature is only for the Wilderness areas so don't get too excited about randomly generated towns and cities just yet transferring fluids from one container to another might not sound like a big deal but it is going to come handy especially with the addition of the profession to the game this will enable players to craft cocktails and concoctions and store them just about anywhere while we are still figuring out the details it is clear that hazardous and poisonous liquids will play a significant role in the new expansion certain weapons will now have separate tracking for handle and head conditions as well as the sharpness of attached blades this system goes beyond mere components in the crafting process proces introducing a dynamic upkeep and breakage mechanic that enriches gameplay the upkeep mechanics are designed to enhance immersion without burdening players with excessive micromanagement for example players can use classic items like duct tape glue or even seip ties to repair handles on weapons sharpness significantly impacts damage and critical hits with weapons at zero sharpness is still usable but but less effective requiring more effort for tasks like chopping down trees and accumulating damage faster when a weapons handle or head condition reaches zero procedural weapon breakage occurs for example if a hatch handle breaks the head becomes detached Sal Shel broken heads and handles offer opportunities for crafting new items adding depth to research management and survival tactics there are numerous other fantastic features said to be introduced into the game these include improved performance through the incorporation of 3D and 2D objects UI enhancements for equipment with higher resolutions in game mode managers the introduction of new cleaning systems for walls and Floors as well as additional environmental and storytelling items that contribute to the game's lore and depth and that's just scratching the surface there are many feat feers to look forward to it is not a surprise that bill 42 has been highly anticipated within the community the news of the updates imminent release later this year only adds to the excitement especially considering how good the
