EVERYONE Will Keep THIS Fish after Seeing This! (Catch&Cook)

oh yeah hey this is what we came here for all right what's going on guys welcome to the channel if you are new here my name is Brad and this is bearded Brad do a lot of saltwater fishing but tomorrow is opening day of amberjack season and I'm not caught an amberjack in quite a while so we're here at Beach Bum outdoors in Gulf Shores Alabama gotta pick up some Jigs and a few other items to take offshore with us we're gonna run about 20 miles in my 19 foot bay boat and see if we can't get on some of these big Amber Jack bring them home and do a little catch a coach y'all so we're gonna go inside pick up some tackle all right Chelsea we just got in a huge assortment of Johnny jigs a bunch of different sizes colors and these are perfect for going out after these amberjacks got the cases as well so I'm gonna pick up a few of these to take out with us we do also have a selection of The Nomad slow pitch jigs as well and all the stuff that we have in the store here is also on our website made it out here to the spot we're about 20 miles offshore in the 19-foot bay boat and uh marking a ton of stuff already still not rigged up yet so I'm gonna go ahead and rig up a couple rods Thomas's biggest fish is like a four or five pound bass so uh I think we're gonna top that today Chris already got it for something while we were trying to get on the spot but we're gonna get everything rigged up I'm gonna show you exactly what all we're working with drop a live bait down see if we can't get eight all right so I got a little knocker rig tied up got a five ought Circle Hook Gonna hook this to garmino I got 80 pound fluorocarbon leader here we're gonna see if we can get old Thomas on a big fish here send that guy out the back I got the Saragosa 14 000 in the terramar extra heavy this is what I was catching those tuna on poppers with this ought to be plenty for his big AJ's yeah I got a nice tight drag here ready Thomas oh yeah all right first Rod that goes off is yours all right we got two live baits down I'm gonna go ahead and throw a slow pitch Jake here this is a 300 gram Johnny jig we do have these jigs in the store now I'll have them linked down below if you wanna pick you up a little Johnny jig I got this on the goo fish yellow rod with a tsunami forged eight 20 pound braid 80 pound fluorocarbon leader trying to jig up a big AJ we're on we're on we're on we're on you had to get him still got them on all right let me roll up and try to make sure we don't get tangling ah yeah did he get everything I got everything all right I'll return a second got him Chris see if it's the right flavor refill Snappers yeah be a B liner B liner oh dang it oh there we go there we go professional we turn on that camera supposed to press the top button oh what is that right no that wasn't all right there's no way I was not that far down [Applause] man all right we're gonna tie on another jig here see if we can uh do that again and actually catch a fish all right we didn't have much going trying to get these Amber Jacks I rigged up a little chicken rig here this is basically a double drop rig just like you would tie a Pompano rig but there's no Floats or beads or anything like that just single hooks I got 30 pound fluorocarbon we just got little chunks of cigarmina here got an eight ounce lead send it down to the bottom but it ended up dropping a chum bag out the back try to get some fish pulled up to the back of the boat Chris already caught a lane snapper I don't have that on camera but we got to keep her laying in the box there we go fishing fishing first drop with the chicken egg see if we got us a keeper it is Tuesday so we cannot keep red snapper today [Music] and Target species outside of amberjack these v-liners are very good to eat keep 10 per person and that is a pretty good size one too check it out y'all nice fish this is a Vermillion Snapper also called B liner or Mingo we're going to call it dinner throw them in the box yeah is this style of fishing like this is really fun to go out if you got some kids with you just dropping it down like this easy way to catch a lot of different species of fish I'm gonna send back another drop with some cigar minnows see if we can get us some more dinner it is hot out here this is officially the furthest I've ever taken this boat offshore like I said we're about 20 miles out right now but it's a slick conditions out here hardly any wind they might ate me off on the way down bring it back up see if I got anything I still got bait a lot of times if you get down there and you're not getting it instantly it's almost like they ate it on the way down they usually get to it pretty quick huh so hot in here all right I'm gonna switch it up and try a little bit of squid here this bottom fish like this do like some squid there we go there's a bite there's a bite here we go there's a fish on the squid see what we got see if we got us another B liner they're trying to fill the cooler right now that is a ruby red lips not what we're after but they make decent baits we'll save him look at butterfly them drop them down try to get a big amberjack throw him in the live well [Music] hydration there we go there we go that feels decent pay the right one baby do the right one move to another side of the wreck Chris got a big eat now I got something decent on here it is not the right one little bitty red snapper give them a little pop swim right back down always got to vent those fish when you bring them up from 100 foot or so go there's a fish see if we got something decent on here anything but a ruby red lips will be fun by me [Music] this is nice and steamy out we got a dolphin right over there that's what we're after another B liner there good little fat one check it out y'all another Fat V liner we're gonna throw in the Box these things are going to be absolutely delicious all right guys got some more squid rigged up here drop it back down to the bottom see if we can do that again so we got two beeliners and one lane snapper so far we need a few more to make some dinner I don't know how hot it actually is out here but it feels like it's 100 degrees the water temp is 89 oh we're already getting eight already getting eight yep fish on Fish on with the dolphin by the boat things might get interesting here don't do it buddy don't come eat my fish let's see if it's another B liner here comes the dolphin we gotta hurry up gotta hurry up another nice one dude check it out another beautiful beeliner what's crazy is these things have no season they are always in season they only got to be 10 inches and you can keep 10 per person and honestly I think they taste better than red snappers so really cool to get on these beautiful fish there's a fish hey you finally committed that time see if we got us another B liner here feels like a decent one come on baby make sure that dolphin stays away foreign ER we're gonna have to let Thomas drop one let Thomas get on a fish check it out another pretty beeliner going in the Box Chris trying to get in on the Mingo action see if you got the right one What's it gonna be hopefully we're not Tangled nice nice B liner a big Rod getting hit big Rod getting hit see if we got something good Chris had a live ruby red lips right down there hopefully it's not that Ruby helicoptering oh yeah you got something good all right just be easy with him if he wants to run let them run you got you had no structure so you can find them for a minute we're not far from structure unless he got that back so we got the hook too how bad is it frayed what are the chances of that the weight got stuck up top shark oh what is this Chris I don't know maybe I don't know but don't lose it okay oh you got a good one we're doubled up Chris is dumping up on the bottom oh you got a fish yeah this is gonna be a good one yours looks like a good one too what we got oh hey nice lane snapper I just got a red snapper hey we're a day late on that one that would probably be a legal fish if it was yesterday check that out nice lane snapper it's gonna be a good eater there all right back on bottom here with some more squid trying to find a B liner lane snapper come on come on come on there he is good fish oh it just came off drop it back down see if we got any bait left that was a good bite too oh that's a good fish let me get you in the Rock again there's a fish on there open the bill see if it'll swim out [Music] come out nice What's it gonna be ruby red lips took you in the structure probably doubled you and the lane snapper dude what the heck Elaine and a ruby keep keeper Lane oh there he is there he is right below the dolphin it's not that big I might have got it no it's on there that's probably a ruby hey Lane snap check it out y'all nice lane snapper my first one of the day Chris has been wearing them out but finally got me one we're gonna throw him in the Box get some more baits down we still got to get Thomas on his first fish of the day so we're gonna see if we can't make that happen we got a big lot of bait here we are in full amberjack mode now had a couple good marks on the screen that I'm pretty certain were amberjacks at about 50 foot I'm gonna send them down see if we can get eight I was definitely just getting ate there for a second he's back on um I don't know if that's an amberjack I think I still got a bait on there all right big bait going back down eat it this time dude all right he's got it oh yeah there we go yeah I got a hook that time before you've been the right one hey this is what we came here for it that's a heavy fish [Music] no dang what do we come back with uh completely frayed later we're not marking a ton of structure but there's definitely some down there all right well we didn't exactly catch what we wanted really wanted to get an amberjack out there have not caught one in a while it's been probably three years since I've eaten one so really wanted to do a catch and cook don't think I've ever even done a catch and cook with amberjack on this channel not 100 sure on that but I don't think I have uh it's definitely gonna have to get back out there another time and try to catch some of those Amber Jack pretty sure those big ones I'll be hung we're amberjack I think we had three or maybe even four that broke off so unfortunately didn't get that part but but never complain about a bag full of Vermillion Snapper and lane snapper they are delicious so we're gonna cook those up for lunch today get a few fillets out here Kelton and Knox are back in Nashville with my parents right now so don't have the little helpers gonna get a few fillets out for now we're gonna hit it with this uh Key West seasoning this is one of the samples that we were trying out for my own however I uh this company with price wise and the minimums and stuff they require isn't going to work out the uh the season turned out really good though so uh still nice to have those samples but working on talking to a few other people right now see if we can't get something lined up again we gotta gotta make sure our price is right because I don't want to obviously I have to make a little bit of money and uh I don't want to charge all freaking 20 for a bottle of seasoning so yeah just make for make sure we find the right partnership and I'm not in a huge rush so all right got that seasoned up got a pan heating up with a little bit of oil and we're just going to pan sear it like that maybe make a taco or some nachos or maybe just eat it we'll see but all right we got the fish done here since Kelton and oxen here we got another taste tester I'm gonna try some fish smells good you think it's gonna be good going on we can get it what do you think game is it good more only one bite all right yes it's good with just one quarter's got a little nail salon over here uh Vermillion Snapper a lot of people like to come down and do bottom fishing for Red Snapper in the summer well so this fish is better than red snapper you can keep more of them so if you are coming down and red snappers out of season still go bottom fishing catch a lot of fish and really come home with more beef because you can keep more nope I had to do a little garlic on top of that two bus season it's very garlicky all right we're gonna finish eating this up for some lunch I think I may go out this afternoon and try to do a little bit of tarpon fishing so some Tarpon around see if I can't get on something but hope you guys enjoyed that video make sure you
