welcome to ever-increasing faith remember these  worse than the book of Romans chapter 10 verse   17 so then faith comes by hearing and hearing by  the Word of God praise God for another day and for supports you are led to give you are helping to  make it happen alright let's turn in our Bibles   please to the book of proverbs chapter number  6 the book of proverbs chapter 6 I believe that   we'll be able to finish up on this subject  that we're talking about proverbs chapter 6   and beginning with verse 16 we'll read through  verse 19 listen up these six things the Lord   hates they hates yes seven are an abomination  to him a proud look a lying tongue hands that   shed innocent blood a heart that devises wicked  plans feet that are Swift and running to evil a   false witness who speaks lies and one who sews  discord among brethren let me read that again   these six things the Lord hates as I said before  this is really an awesome statement to think that   the great god of creation the Great God of love  could possibly hate something but it says these   six things the Lord hates yes seven are an  abomination to him now let me give you again   and for the benefit of first-time visitors the  definition that I'm using for hate as you look   up the word in the original Hebrew in which the  Proverbs was written it doesn't really say much   different than what we find in the dictionary so  I have taken the dictionary definition Webster's   definition simply because it actually adds  a little bit more than what I found in the   Hebrew dictionary because I think probably  the writers would assume you understand what   hate is you know that's not a real big thing  as such in other words to understand it so   this is what hate means number one intense  active hostilities say that intense active   hostility second definition is this chase this say  distaste third definition is dislike say dislike   I didn't hear you fourth definition is detest  the fifth definition is loathe or utter disgust now that encompasses what hate means in the  English language as we relate to it now these   verses say that these six things the Lord has  intense active hostility against these six   things the Lord distaste the Lord dis length the  Lord detests and the Lord loathes and has other   disgust for them these six things the Lord hates  yes seven are abomination to him a proud look a   lying tongue hands that shed innocent blood  a heart that devises wicked plan feet that   are Swift in running to evil a false witness  who speaks lies and one who sews discord among   brethren if God hates it we should too that's our  subject if God hates it we certainly shouldn't   love it if God hates it we should too so we've  already looked at a problem haughtiness pride   self-exalting is what it really means somebody  that is promoting themselves that God doesn't   like that hates it detest it second week we talked  about a lying tongue that's somebody that deals   with falsehoods somebody dishonest really God  hates dishonesty third thing was murdering or   rather hands that shed innocent blood which  translates out into murdering and I pointed   out that murdering is not just taking the gun  and blowing somebody's brains out but it's also   the assassination of character it's also by you  taking a little wagon tongue your little forked   tongue and destroying someone's reputation by  spreading untruths or even spreading the truth   that has no redemptive value whatsoever in other  words telling it's not helping anything not going   to change the situation God hates hens that shed  innocent blood for a heart that devises wicked   plans plotting evil the plan secretly devised  to accomplish an evil or treacherous in and   number five which we left off with last time and  I want you to turn now to Isaiah chapter 59 feet   that are Swift in running to evil that might  be translated a little different differently   in the traditional King James I am reading from  and studying from the New King James Version so   there might be a little difference but this is  what it says literally feet that are Swift and   running to evil we left off with this last time  I want to read this again this means eagerness   to do wrong purposeful premeditated desire to do  wrong God hates it all right Isaiah chapter 59 and   we'll read several verses here that are somewhat  awesome in my opinion Isaiah 59 and beginning with   verse 1 we'll read 8 verses behold the Lord's  hand is not shortened that it cannot save nor   his ear heavy that it cannot hear but say but  but your iniquities have separated you from your   God and your sins say sins have hidden his face  from you so that he will not hear not that he   can't in the scenario he will not under these  circumstances for your hands are defiled with   blood and your fingers with thick your lips have  spoken lies your tongue has muttered perversity   no one calls for justice nor does any plead for  truth they trust in empty words and speak alive   they conceive evil and bring forth iniquity they  hatched vipers eggs and weave the spider's web   he who eats of their egg dies and from that  which is crushed a viper breaks out their   webs will not become garments nor will they cover  themselves with their works their works are works   of iniquity and the act of violence is in their  hands their feet run to evil and they make haste   to shed innocent blood this covers everything  this covers all seven things that God hates all   right and they make haste to shed innocent but  their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity wasting   and destruction are in their paths the way of  peace they have not known and there is no justice   in their ways they have made themselves crooked  paths whoever takes that way shall not know peace that's heavy heavy hangs over someone's head  I hope it's not yours feet that are Swift and   running to evil and the thing about it God hates  this but the thing about it is God knows all of   your little secret thing you can hide from  the pastor I'm not God but you cannot hide   from God God sees all knows all and he hates  feet that are Swift in running to evil number   six a false witness or a false witness who  speaks lies Exodus chapter 20 if you please there are certain things that never change  and principles are one of them principles   I said this before but I think it will bear  repetition because it appears that some people   don't comprehend that principles never change  our attitude towards principles may change but   the principle itself never changes for if it  changes that was never a principle and God has   given man some principles we may have a different  attitude about it but in the sight of God it's   still an abomination is still sin I can remember  back in the days of Columbus when I was a child I mean it was the worst crime that could  be committed I mean it looked like it was   almost worse than somebody going out and killing  someone you know murder worst crime that could   be committed I mean it was just absolutely it  was a disaster to the person to the families   involved it was a disgrace beyond disgrace for a  young girl to get pregnant out of wedlock I mean   everybody would do everything they could to hide  that thing because it was just it was a reproach   people I mean now they pay you to get pregnant  out of wedlock but fornication is a principle   it's just as wrong today as it was when Godin  instituted it so our even though we may have   changed our attitudes towards that principle still  remains the same and the awesome part about it is   that he come to judge will have the final say  so see that's that's the thing about it he will   be when we're not and Judgment Day is coming and  it doesn't even matter whether you believe in a   Judgment Day doesn't make any difference still  coming you know you're just I don't believe it   was that gonna change something oh so that's the  terrible thing I just use that as one illustration   but but that's the way we do about a lot of  things and in like now like lying people just   I mean and I can understand why people would have  a propensity towards it because our whole society   is geared online I mean it appears that way now  that's not to say that every single person lies   but I mean it's it's accepted lying is accepted  where before like I say when I came over with   Columbus on the Mayflower or rather the Nina the  Pinta and the Santa Maria to be more accurate boy   lie I mean just you know it's just it was terrible  you know people had I mean they had respect people   had some values now I mean folks just say anything  they can say to get by didn't lie any kind of way   they can but it's always been an abomination to  God and it always will be did all right did you   find an exit of chapter 20 we're talking about  number six that one number six thing that God   hates a false witness who speaks lies now watch  this verse sixteen of the twentieth chapter of   Exodus now this is what's usually referred to  as the Ten Commandments now remember that that   that that God gave the Ten Commandments actually  gave the law to the children of Israel and the law   encompassed or incorporated the Ten Commandments  the Ten Commandments are just a part of the law   and people over time have extracted that out and  had made it to appear that it's the whole law but   even if that the principles that were involved  in that law were given to spiritually dead men   the children of Israel were dead in trespasses  and sin you know they were not what we would call   born-again believers they weren't children of  God so spiritually from a spiritual perspective   they were cut off from God so the law was given to  spiritually dead men and God says listen to this   verse 16 you shall not bear false witness against  your neighbor and who is your neighbor the person   that lives next door in the house next to you well  you know I wouldn't argue with you about it but   I personally I believe my neighbor is the person  that's closest to me what I mean by when I think   closest to me I mean geographically speaking  anybody that's close to me that's my neighbor   that's what I mean I don't mean a relative or  somebody that I love or they love me I'm just   talking about this is my neighbor this is what  he's the closest person to me right now in this   little where I'm standing so he's my neighbor  move over here he's my that's what I believe   he's my neighbor I'm here she's my neighbor okay  not the person who lives in a house next door to   you that's where usually say neighbor neighborhood  no I think your neighbor is the person whoever you   interface with whoever you're interfacing with  at this present time he said look you shall not   bear false witness against your neighbor now this  is a principle and though it was given under the   Old Covenant it's still in vogue today as far  as God is concerned because he hadn't changed are you following so the principles are the same  now let me show this to you in the New Testament   go to Romans chapter 13 we have too many there are  too many that are too quick to bear false witness   and it's a set it's a sad thing we ought to be  people of truth I mean we're supposed to have the   Spirit of God in us and I mean some some people I  mean they pride themselves and well bless God I'm   filled with the spirit hallelujah praise the Lord  I'm a child of the king and they just as quick to   lie and you know and bear false witness against  someone it's really sad I mean we have it like   here in the church we have quite a few people that  work for us and are paid a salary now we have not   because we really haven't found any yet that that  that can do what we need done as soon as we find   them I will hire them and that is robots I mean  seriously because you won't you don't get no stuff   out and they just do what they're programmed to  do the Christians are they are an anomaly they're   there I mean it's it's awesome I mean we have  had situations in the church and I mean I realize   people are human people can make mistakes thank  God for the mercy of God and and will I would   be merciful you know as an employer we would  be merciful but you can't you can't give mercy   to somebody they won't tell you the truth I if I  had a dollar for every hour that we have spent in   dealing with focus says she said he said she said  he did she did he said she did he did what she did   and we get him in a room together across the table  from each other Christian spirit feel born again   carrying Bibles belong to Christian Christian  Center hey King money out of the ministry buying   their cars with it buying their houses with it  buying their clothes with it feeding their faces   with it sit across the table and you can't get him  to tell I mean you will now I don't know that we   did we have one maybe was it one we've never had  anybody would admit that he did something wrong   I mean just you know and we know what they did  but they won't admit it Christian said it symbol   you know I did it and throw themselves on the  floor and mercy I mean you know somebody like   that I can appreciate some sit up there you you  know they they've done it because you know it's   it's circumstantial evidence but you know if you  haven't done anything nailed you know evidence   circumstantial or otherwise against you you know  what I'm saying and I mean we just wasted more   time and I mean they just sit there a lot we'll  know I didn't do it beautiful me amazing you know   are you obvious you know obviously you know I'm  not talking about everybody but but it's pathetic   Christians you would think that they would be the  first to tell the truth it'd be the first to own   up I messed up I did it you know I mean I'm not  proud that I did I just blew it but I'm asking   for me lord have mercy on me you know because none  of us are perfect I'm probably the most perfect   person here but even I am not perfect you didn't  have to agree with that let's just come take this   woman out get takeout here all right watch this  now Romans pick up on this we just read it in the   Old Covenant a false witness who speaks like false  witness speak untrue words about people bear God   says you shall not bear false witness all right  right says Romans chapter 13 look at this verse 9   but the commandments you shall not commit adultery  you shall not murder you shall not steal you shall   not bear false witness you shall not covet and  if there is any other commandment and if there   is any other commandment and if there is any other  commandment are all summed up in this saying so   God is still saying that these principles here  are still important to him no false witness no   lie no murder no this that the other watches now  he said but he says are all if there and if there   is any other commandment are all summed up in  this saying namely you should love neighbor as   yourself' as amazing and then he goes on in verse  10 love does no harm to a neighbor therefore love   is the fulfilling of the law and if you love me  you won't lie on me you won't bear false witness   against me you'll actually you protect me instead  of listening to some lies that somebody tells you   all you gotta do is pin fo'got have you ever met  him do you really know him have you ever talked to   him in 99% of the time add on they all know squad  they don't know you they just lie and you sit   there and listen to that garbage that's not being  neighborly it says you should love your neighbor   as yourself would you want that done to you I  always decked the thing it always just goes off on   the inside of me I sure wouldn't want anybody do  that to me I just don't want I don't want I don't   want to lie to do it and folk do it yeah I mean  they lie on me anyway you know they do it anyway   but I sure I wouldn't I don't like it so I don't  see the Bible says pause I don't like it so pause   I quoted the scripture earlier it says whatever  man shows actually also reap so if you if you sow   false witness that's what you go get back so since  I don't since I don't want that I won't so that you know and so even at that you know you have  a few that still want to say this and the other   but he says right here he says you shall love  all other Commandments they're all summed up in   this one saying you should love your neighbor  as yourself that's the reason why under the   New Covenant specifically speaking Christians are  not given the Ten Commandments see remember again   that the children of Israel were spiritually  dead the law technical codified law was given   to spiritually dead men under the New Covenant we  are alive to God through Christ we have only one   law really and that's the law of love and if you  think about it it makes sense because if I love   you I'm not gonna steal from you you don't steal  from whom you love if I really love you I'm not   gonna lie on you and if I really love you ain't  gonna try to get you a wife from you and lie with   her see so he didn't have to kill thou shalt not  commit adultery you see what I mean thou shalt   not steal if I love you I want to take something  from if anything I want to figure out what I can   give you I want to give you something something  good something nice something that will enhance   you now take away from me so God doesn't have  to tell us Christian because remember when we   were born again the Bible said that the love of  God was shed abroad in our hearts so we have the   love of God in our hearts but it doesn't operate  automatically that's the reason you can see people   that claim to be Christian love the Lord have  their increasing faith Study Bible go to Crenshaw   Christian Center and can just lie up a storm and  just do all kind of crazy thing in your honor how   can they do that because it's about an act of the  will so you have the love of God shed abroad in   your heart at conversion you it's there but you  have to access it you have to activate it by your   faith you can override it are you following me  you know I get like you do a computer I mean I'm   slightly computer savvy but I'm not an expert I  know I'm not but I do pretty good and every once   in a while I get into some situation man and after  that computer just I mean I just I did something I   hit the wrong but I did something and then work  and it won't do what it's supposed to do what I   you know what I wanted to do but I did something  wrong and and and and I'm trying everything I know   which is not a whole lot yet about computers and  but I do all the stuff I do know and and I finally   get to the point you know what I do I just turn  this sucker off I just just unplug it disconnected   cut your power off brother then I restarted and  everything come back up like opposed to be huh   okay so what happens is we have the capacity in  us to do the right thing but it won't it's not   gonna work automatically you've got to get the  right buttons got to have the right access code   password you got to do all the stuff in sequential  order like spoke to and 99 times out of 100 it's   gonna give you what you want you just do what  you know but you got to do what you're supposed   to do so the love of God has been shed abroad  in our hearts so we don't have any excuse for   not doing what the word said he says right here  look look look verse 9 but the commandment you   shall not commit adultery you shall not murder  you shall not steal you should not bear false   witness you should not bear front there it is  you shall not bear false witness you shall not   bear false witness so that means if you don't bear  false when you've got you've got to be an honest   witness that tells the truth this gets associated  with this lying tongue business all of that joined   together can bear false witness if you're not  speaking and if you're speaking lies and it's   easy to bear false witness then Christians it's  it's really sad that the Christians do that I   mean do that amazing amazing amazing and it's  not only in grace either okay he said he said   you shall you shall not bear false witness so  here it is recorded in the New Testament see so   this thing is still important to God to tell the  truth not bear false witness alright let's look   at number 7 the 7 thing that God hates one who  sews discord among brethren it literally means   in brethren means your brother's dear brothers and  sisters in Christ and it means disunity dissension conflict strife Christians getting struck  with one another I mean right in the church   won't work with each other can't work with each  other if anybody ought to be able to do you know   ought to be spirit fill tongue talking born-again  Christian it and I mean you we have folk in the   ministry can't work with each other personality  conflicts if anybody should be able to override   those and put them under their feet it ought  to be spirit field tongue talking Christians   and yet you have this in the church so we know  then it it has to be an act of the will thing   it's not a spiritual genetic thing because the  love of God has been she'd abroad in our hearts   that love came from God so it's a pure love so  it doesn't have any strife and dissension and   all this other craziness in it and yet kid we have  Christians that act this way towards one another   and you wonder what what what what what I mean  every time we turn around financed them out so   so and so then convict was so and so Christian  in the church I expect that at the pool hall at   the billiard parlor for those of you that are  more sophisticated I expect that on the Golf   Links but in church in the kingdom in the family  of God sowing discord among brethren disunity   dissension conflict strife it ought not to be so  and think about it it can't exist without us I mean it's just you just can't exist without  us so us is the problem God hates it now you   can't think that if God hates it and you do  it that there's any way you're going to get   a prayer answer that you're going to be able  to walk in the favor of God in the protection   of God if he hates it that cuts off his power  to us that he hated he's certainly not gonna   bless it he can't bless what he hates  alright look at this Galatians chapter 5 Galatians chapter 5 disunity dissension conflict  strife among Christians among family I know I'm   not talking about you am I I didn't get too  many responses on now hmm yes yes yes Galatians   chapter 5 uh no people want to be spiritual  and that's proper you ought to be but listen   to this let's begin with verse 16 it says that  they then walk in the spirit and you shall not   fulfill the lust of the flesh now you'll notice  that the word spirit walk in the spirit the word   spirit is capitalized remember that when the  Bible was translated out of the original Greek   and or Aramaic scriptures whatever one they  were they translated from most of what we   have in our English King James Bibles is from  the Greek and the word spirit is a capitalized   word which indicates the Holy Spirit right when  you see capitalized spirit means the Holy Spirit   but I suggest to you because remember that the  capitalization and small case designations were   arbitrarily added by the translators they were  not in the original manuscripts in other words   there was no difference made in the original  manuscripts it was all one size letter whether   small case or capital it was just all there was  no different between capital and small case no   punctuation marks no chapter division no verse  designations just one continuous narrative well   when the translate is translated in order to  give clarity and make it easy to find things   and access things from the Bible it does make it  very easy to say turn to the book of John chapter   3 verse 17 it's real easy to find otherwise  you would have ten thousand markers you know   sticking out of your Bible with a little thing  labelled on each one of them as to where these   favorite scriptures were or be they're very  difficult to find so because many times the   translators translated out of their scholastic  ability and not always out of their spiritual   perceptions they sometimes I think made some  errors in making a distinction between small   case and capitalized words now I want to use  the word Spirit and you'll be able to see that   see it says spirit so it looks like I say then  walk in the Holy Spirit let me let me read it   like that with the capitalized s and let's see  where we go I say then walk in the Holy Spirit   and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh  for the flesh lusts against the holy spirit and   the holy spirit against the flesh and these are  contrary to one another so that you do not do the   things that you wish but if you are led by the  Holy Spirit you are not under the law now the   works of the flesh are evident which are adultery  fornication uncleanness lewdness idolatry sorcery   hatred contentions jealousies outbursts of Wrath  selfish ambition dissensions heresies in the   murders drunkenness revelries and the light  meaning anything else that you can think of   like these that have just been listed they are  also included in this you understand that the   understanding and like means anything like this  is just a representative list but anything else   you find it's like these added to the list alright  verse 21 in the murder drunkenness revelries and   the lack of which I tell you beforehand just as I  also told you in time past that those who practice   such things will not inherit the kingdom of God  but the fruit of the Holy Spirit is love joy peace   long-suffering kindness goodness faithfulness  gentleness self-control against such there is   no law now if you are an astute reader you will  immediately be able to tell in here as you read   this section from verse 16 to verse 23 that it's  talking about the flesh as opposed to the spirit   but I would like to suggest to you simply for your  consideration and evaluation that the word spirit   should have been left in small case because it's  not contrasting your flesh against the Holy Spirit   the word that describes that is no contest what  your flesh gonna do against the Holy Spirit of   God what's your how can your faith how could your  flesh as it were in reality resist the Spirit of   God the spirit of got to knock you off the planet  you know what I'm saying so there's not going to   be a conflict between your flesh and the Holy  Spirit that's not the problem in each one of   our lives the problem in our lives is the conflict  between our flesh and our recreated human spirit   our recreated human spirit wants to do the things  of God our flesh wants to do the things that are   what we call in the natural and that's where the  conflict comes in your spirit tell you shouldn't   do that you ain't got no bit in the gap in your  legs did I say something what I say what I say did I say did I say something put us it did I say  you hear me say something everybody got all quiet   I mean it really amazing y'all practicing the  stuff but you act like it's amazing you getting   up I don't understand this you fakers see I have  to say it that way cuz I can't put my finger on   any individual person you know I wouldn't do that  but there did it there did it they sent me in here   I know I know that God knows I know you know in  the devil knows so you know let's you know play   it off but but that's what is your body your  body tell you need another drink your spirit   says no that's where the conflict is your flesh  wants to do stuff and your spirit wants to do   the things of God through the work it's not the  Holy Spirit and here's another way that I think   you can pretty well tell at least it seemed like  this to me notice verse 22 it says but the fruit   of the Spirit what is fruit what is fruit it just  it's like taking away from the word spirit and   just give me analyze what is fruit well fruit is  that which grows on vines trees or something can   we get a consensus of a thing is that right  yes fruit grows on vines of trees well when   fruit growth it goes from an imperfect state to  a perfect state meaning it grows from unripe to   right it's progressive so it's not perfect so if  the fruit were the fruit of the Holy Spirit then   fruit since it's imperfect and has to grow then  that would mean the Holy Spirit is not perfect   see I told you gonna learn something I told  you you would listen all right listen watch   it now but the fruit of the Spirit is love joy  peace so though those think what is saying then   what it would be saying at least it says to  me is that of joy and peace are not perfect   but they are as they come from God so if it  was in if it was in fact in the Holy Spirit   because then it would be fruit has to grow no  it's fruit is in our recreated human spirit the   moment that you're born again all of the thieves  of the fruit of the Spirit are deposited in your   life they have to be watered and cultivated and  allowed to grow don't tell me if you've been a   Christian any length of time you if you've been  a Christian for 10 years 15 years 20 years 25   years if you don't if your love life love in the  sense of the things of God is no better now than   it was 25 years ago when you first got saved  then you haven't grown something's wrong you   should be maturing you your capacity to love to  put up with the frailties of others ought to be   on a higher level than it was when you first got  say your patience your endurance should have been   developed over time because fruit is imperfect  it has to grow and develop the Holy Spirit is   perfect he's God God the spirit he doesn't need  to grow God that is not growing God not going to   school God's not matriculating through first grade  second grade third grade junior high high school   so I submit to you that that this is talking  about your recreated human spirit and there's   where the fight is that's where the battle is  my spirit wants to do what God wants to do and   my flesh wants to do what the devil is telling  me to do that's where all of that's where all   of the problems are if I could get rid of my body  I wouldn't have any challenges whatsoever I don't   know about anybody else I'm not gonna ask for  your hand I'm not gonna asking anybody to say   Amen I just know if I could get rid of this  flesh this body I would have no problem with   handle more pain when handle more old-aged symptom  wouldn't have no more temptation I mean I wouldn't   be attracted to anyway praise the Lord hallelujah  all right yeah okay so anyway look at this look at   what he says you we're talking now about one who  sews discord among brother in that word discord   means disunity dissension or strength this is  a fruit of the Spirit look at this now of your   recreated human spirit all right watch this now go  to verse 20 these are the these are the works of   the flesh rather he says idolatry sorcery hatred  contentions jealousies outbursts of Wrath selfish   ambition dissensions heresies so distinctions  are the work of the flesh God hates them and   he's given us the capacity both by shedding  abroad in our hearts his love and secondly by   giving us the Holy Spirit we can love like God  loves if we so choose to but its effort I mean   it takes it takes effort and the biggest key to  it all is faith because you got to do it by faith it's like a you know what people here at the  church I mean thank God for faith and thank   God for for for for the grace of God cuz some of  you you're not very lovely loveable rather you're   not lovable hard to get along we've got to walk  on eggshells around you say the wrong thing you   just know we set up the whole week trying to  figure out how we can hurt your feeling won't   talk then you go into your little moody into  your little shell won't talk Christians you   got to I mean you know I hate playing that game  oh here comes so and so now I got it check out   my little book see now how do you deal with you  all yes don't smile yes don't say dog don't snap   your fingers now cuz they're gonna surely know  you trying to get to him I'm talking serious   you might sound comical but it's it's pathetic  so because of faith in the love of God I love   all of you I love you even with your wagon  tongues you with your poison tongue I love   y'all cuz I'm not gonna get in strife I'm not  gonna get in this century that's on you if you   want to hate me that's your problem and you will  answer to God cuz he hates that I love some you even you so if you don't and I'm gonna do with  that all right so he said this since it God God   hates people or hates rather the decision in  discord sown among Brotherhood alright go to   Philippians chapter 2 God hates it if God  hates it we should too and so if you hate   something you what no shouldn't ought to do it  right shouldn't do it God hates it we should   too all right Philippians look at this chapter 2  chapter 2 verse third watch this now verse 3 let   nothing be the nothing say nothing say nothing I  can't hear you I can't hear you I mean move your   lips even if you don't want to read just move  your lips take me out let me just see your lips   moving if you don't what I'm waiting
