romanian style we have albu andrea nicholas beatrice and duplicianuel elena [Music] thank you [Applause] italy has definitely been on the scene before a few times and they're definitely a force to be reckoned with but romania i think this is one of their first few gold medal matches especially in field do you believe so i think so yes actually yes at least as a junior team that is indeed true i'm excited to see what they can do what they bring to the table that would be a nice match i think yeah this is third but we're able to win the semi-finals so yeah it's a very beautiful day here in a cottage yeah yeah and a beautiful location on the seashore on the beach italy is going to shoot first yeah sophia the compound and that could be a six on the line six six in the line we have so compound then the rico was shooting first and bear blue less yes ma'am two minutes i had a little bit of a letdown there probably sending yourself getting ready i know there's a lot of nerves there for sure yeah it's gold medal match everything's on the line there's also a little bit of wind yeah a little bit of wind especially on these 20 centimeter bunny target faces a lot of people don't realize that the gold is the size of the tendering on a 40 indoor target so a very small target at a pretty far distance up to full draw now and that'll be a three bear bows last 15 seconds i don't know this shooting next up will be romania yeah they're pretty new to the field i believe so i'm excited to see what they'll bring to the table so they're shooting 50 meters from the right back and 15 meters for the compound and recurve and 10 meters 10 meters for bare bow that looks like a beautiful six amazing shot next up with the olympic recurve four four still a good shot definitely at this distance on that target face next up barebow shooting 10 meters on a 20 centimeter face is quite a small face [Music] 14. like i said beginning i think this would be a good match i think you said that too so i'm excited to see where this goes it really is a beautiful day here on the beach just a little bit of wind coming off the mediterranean yeah the next distances will be 25 meters for the wet pack and 20 for the blue one on the 40 centimeter faces yes and for everybody who's wondering the red peg is where the olympic recurve and compound will shoot blue peg as a little closer is where the bear bears will be shooting up you definitely hear some team spirit back there so the thai score is confirmed 14 to 14. i believe they said italy is going to shoot first again definitely some strong shooters four low look like good shot a little bit of an incline i might admit a small difference three curve is up next i know there's a lot of nerves going into this and it is pretty stressful yeah and uh the compound was low perhaps she's thinking if shooting a bit higher or not yeah maybe she cut a little more than she thought she needed [Music] to and yet again i apologize for my mispronunciation of porrech earlier 30 seconds now she's really pushing the clock but let's see what she can do that's on the line i believe they called it a four yeah they called it four ten seconds left strong shot from the bare bow well given that she only had 10 seconds to shoot that shot i think that was i can't complain yeah i bubble shooters shoot really fast but sometimes it would be better to have some more sequence you know it definitely is had a little bit of cushion next up is romania let's see what they bring to the table italy having 24 points after the second target compounds up first five oh so we do see that both compounders shot low in that first target do you think it's uh they're cutting a little more than they should or probably yes six from the recurve that's a beautiful shot 86 seconds left plenty of time like i said before italy's really been on the scene with field archery for a while now that's a four just low that was an amazing shooting from romania score unverified is 24-29 romania in the i lead saying before italy has really been on the on the map for field archery for a while now yes actually yes and it's uh it's good to see some other countries coming up and rivaling the pros yeah it's really nice because it means that field archer is growing it does it does because actually you know in italy there are not so much field artery competitions and the participants they're not so high so it's nice to see that at european or what level exactly the field that you're still growing anyway it's good i feel archery is so much fun i recommend that even the target shooters at least try it uh yeah i like target archery it's nice to train but field archery is different yeah i mean and you have marked and unmarked so one day you have known distances and one day you don't so you have to learn how to range and that's a lot of fun yeah well it's perhaps too difficult at the beginning but once you have learned everything it's just it's practice yeah like for everything you just practice [Music] so now we should have the maximum distance on the 60 centimeter face which means 45 meters for compound and reckless and 40 meters for baba yes ma'am and that's a long way on that small face yeah these two targets can make the difference actually italy's up first compound shooting first four just out low she's been low almost targets i think so far let's see the recruiting do let her have a strong shot i think the nerves settle down a little bit it's okay still have plenty of time 77 seconds on the clock i guess the wind is picking up a little bit being the max distance of that small target face really want to be as accurate as possible [Music] 50 seconds on the clock there really isn't any clouds in the sky it's nice blue sky nice breeze coming off the mediterranean 30 seconds that looked like an amazing shot just out that's okay barebow's up next that's their final arrow let's see if they can make up some points [Music] 10 seconds left four oh that's a good shooting good shooting five fights i'll be at 12 points for that target for italy romania is up next see how they do there is a pretty nice little breeze it's consistent breeze coming in off the sea so that could play a role especially out here at the farther distances for low i think we have a consistent pattern with the uh compound so far a lot of the shots have been low recurve up next four four four again low as well yeah let's see what the bare bow can bring to the table 67 seconds on the clock for their third arrow so you really do see a time difference between romania and italy three well that's going to be good enough unverified score 36 for italy 40 for romania [Music] i think we have to say that field archers are not so used to wind because once you are in the wood you don't feel it so much yes so when you definitely have those trees and the bushes and all that cut like blocking the wind from you wind's a whole nother beast has a mind of its own really and yet again it's just practice the more practice you get into it i believe it's verified at 3640 romania in the lead moving on to our final target this target will be the max distance for recoil romania's going into this target four points in the lead let's see if they can hold on to that lead and rival italy and i know all these archers have been working very hard training so everyone does her best or his best but of course that's a match just one hour one here at a time italy at first again five just slow still low yeah still low higher maybe gave the site a few more clicks down i mean you never really know i mean your mark could be just a little off recurve up next this is our final target she's been pushing the clock but she's been making consistent shots so let's see what she can do wind just picked up a little bit yeah as we see we can see randy flankini behind the aiko she's a strong compound shooter and used to shoot the record as well she went to the olympic games as well and we'll shoot for the bronze medal match tomorrow tomorrow yes and today for everybody who doesn't know is just team gold medal matches tomorrow will be individual that's enough but yeah that's definitely showing some real talent from romania uh having they shut really good and you hear you can hear in the background the uh team spirits it's usually italy has a lot of team spirit i've never heard much of that today no because uh yeah actually team spirit is good but you know i get it the right way yes correct not too much not too much as we heard spain in happy to be here that's very good to hear how did the weather treat you guys today i knew there was a little bit of wind coming in from the sea uh did it affect any of your arrows or anything like that um it was windy it was quite windy but we should very well we were concentrated and uh it was good that's very good well i know that this is romania's first few gold medal matches in fields is junior team yes the men's junior team which is going to be italy again and sweden those are two very big superpowers in the in the field community so i'm excited to see what they have to bring to the table yeah this time they're both things we already know so they're not you we also have some good champions in it because paterson leo won the european 3d championship last week in madiba yes he did yeah he's junior but one in the senior so yeah in uh slovenia is that correct yeah exactly definitely a force to be reckoned with in the barebow community i'm excited to see how he does and that's same with the italy now we're ready for the next match here they come on please [Music] and then the ranking around italy actually placed first in after the qualification round yeah they were first which again is 15 meters for a recurve and compound 10 meters and i believe italy is going to shoot first yes because they went in with the higher rankings well actually they can choose and of course they choose the first yes so here we have barcelona mattel leo up now good shot yeah live just low what the surprise i feel like uh excited to see what happens with the rest of targets to see if most of the arrows today will be low but we shall see recurve is up next looks like a strong shot four just up high that's a good shot especially for 15 meter bunny again the bunny targets here are only 20 score that italy and romania had on their first target i think i remember correctly um yeah i think yes yes yes because yep next up we have sweden compound going first five five five it's a good shot wind did pick up a little bit on that i could feel it recurve up next four four low so another low shot leo shooting up next 67 66 seconds on the clock here's your 3d european champion in the senior division yeah so excited to see what happens here oh and he smoked it that was a beautiful shot so unconfirmed it is 13 to 15. sweden in the lead we have the team the rest of the italian team pushing on the junior men's yes team actually have the italian here and the swedish group there oh that is funny italy will shoot first again officially the score is 13-15 sweden in the lead and that's before now the second target will be 30 centimeter faces at 25 meters for the rat pack the equivalent compound and 20 meters for babel yes compounds up first looked a little low maybe i think it could be a six on the line actually it looks very close i think they'll have to they judge we'll see see when they get down there so six five line uh and you see it's a five asterix so definitely can't call it from where we are recurve up next four four still a little low lower than seven left but yet again i think the wind may be playing a little role on that there's a pretty nice little wind coming off to see italian verbose shooting now 50 seconds on the clock six six that was a beautiful shot that really was sweden is up next unofficially [Music] italy shot a five six line four and a six sweden up next compound shooting first do you see a little bit of the nerves in the release there a little bit of shake but that was a six he was able to pull it off good height it looks let's see how the recurve shoots it looks pretty solid four high now it's a leo up the barebow shooter which shot six on the uh bunnies so i'm excited to see what he does on the 40. getting his crawl right cheering i wonder if italy will uh retaliate with a cheer of their own [Music] there we go and there's the italian cheer but they just need to choose which song to to sing you know we have many but a lot a lot of a lot of support so see we have to see what the dots say yes on that 5 6 line on italy 2.01 points lead for sweden it looked like it was a six so i'm excited to see what they write it down as it's a six so they caught the line so i'll find difference after second target italy score 29 sweden score of 30. sweden is the lead by one point one bad shot definitely put some pressure on both teams let's see it's nothing with two targets to go steal no this really is nothing and it's a beautiful day here european field championships 2021 sun is out not much clouds in the sky a little bit of a breeze [Music] italy is going to shoot first compound shooting 45 meters at a 60 centimeter face five low five low again a lot of the target's been low i feel like uh perhaps i believe so i believe it might be the headwind it might be just the angle it's at people with great thinking it's more of a cut than it really is recurve up next 85 seconds the clock plenty of time first let down i understand wind picked up a little bit i do to say that their timing is a little better than the team before them but i understand five five as well just low underlying that's still low yeah but i'm going to take fives all day long five is really good gold is good gold is good so matteo bob was shooting from 40 meters 40 meters strong shot this is really gonna make up the points the longer distances five five yeah that's that's that's good i mean that's that's a good score for even some recurvers i would not be upset with escort it was me personally sweden up next compound shooting first followed by recurve the compound didn't manage to shoot a six on the last target let's see if he can follow it up with one more five five high good shot he looked like he wasn't very happy with that shot but it's in the gold recurve up next a little bit of a flinch yeah that is okay wind picked up again it is quite breezy here on the beach beautiful venue but a little breezy 60 seconds on the clock still plenty of time that's a nice shot now uh leo up he shot his last two targets quite well so let's see if he stays on that five so if he shoots a goal on this target he can really increase the lead on italy that's a fight that's a five and look at that group that is a beautiful group from sweden again these are two pretty big superpowers in the uh field archery community really a force we reckon [Music] and we see that uh sweden and italy are throwing at the same time i'm sorry i cannot hear you because the italians are cheering soon [Music] that's really a nice match they were first and second and they're showing why they were first and second after they really they really are two two-point difference between italy and sweden italy with 44. sweden was 46. and those are some good scores those are really some scores to be reckoned with i do have to say that baraboo shooters have been really pulling their weight same with compound and recurve it's just still a little low i think they just shot like we had two fours until now and then everyone every everyone do i believe so i believe so yeah here's sweden cheering last target and this is a compound recurve shooting 60 meters on an 80 centimeter face a quite little breeze coming in five five just high and left recursive side a little bit see if that's just a little bit of improvements he needs to put him in the gold i'm excited to see what he does here again two superpowers in the field community really going at it first and second in the ranking rounds five another five and look at that group two arrows right next to each other i believe the eureka zero was a little closer than the compound zero so the star retail last arrow 50 meters on an 80 centimeter face you're in the european field championships in polish thank you i think it may be just out sadly but still an amazing shot for 50 meters with a bare bow of course yeah and with the wing because you know bubble exactly and not so high poundage so that's indeed true what do you personally run on your bare bell uh i think 29 pounds or so and that proves you really don't need to pull much weight people shoot quite well especially in field archery given that 50 meters is your max usually there's the fact you just need the right poundage to reach the max distance and then sweeten up now compound shooting first a little bit of a shake you see the nerves really adding up four out let's see if the recurve can make up for a few lost points here as we then lead it for two points so good let down you really feel the wind the wind just had a good little breeze come through sitting here in the commentators booth you could feel it feels good for us but yeah i think the archers would have another way i win it's not nice when you have to shoot actually so especially at 60 meters on an 87 your face six it was a nice shot he looked he looked happy with that shot now leo is up leo's been on a roll so far really excited to see what he brings the table in this last arrow it really is all resting on his shoulders honestly yeah but again they need a two to win amazing shooting from sweden 60 points and italy [Applause] [Music] so we'll just wait the judge confirmation [Music] but i think we can already say that sweden is the winner of the gold medal for the man junior team [Music] [Music] so congratulations to sweden they won the gold medal 62 57 against italy [Music] here with sweden the old metal winners for the junior team how do you guys feel about your uh competition so far it feels really good to be honest i had some troubles yesterday in the world but we have been shooting really good in teams and i can see you uh ranked second in the round uh qualifying round event uh italy ranking first so you did you were the underdogs in this event and it but it does feel good to come up and really show what you guys can do how was the weather for you guys today honestly i mean it's been it's been good it's been there has been days that it's been worse but i didn't think the wind affected us so much there's a slight breeze but not to anything to worry about really uh got it gotta get it and uh leo you are the european 3d champion coming into uh the junior men's team gold medalist as well how does that feel because you really shot really well today on all four targets i think you almost don't think you left the gold once on the 50 meter target so how does that feel being the way you've been shooting lately it feels pretty good i was a little shaky on the first arrow but then i got into the rhythm of shooting and just did my thing yeah you definitely there's nerves there's always going to be nerves in this kind of event well you guys did amazing i'm so proud of you guys enjoy your win and uh hopefully we'll italy with an odelia chinchilla verbo foreign in the compound division whereas for france we have got a christine the node in pronounce it quite correctly but yeah anyways we've seen italy now three times in the gold medal uh matches so yeah definitely if you won't be the last actually it won't be the last that is indeed true but we've seen them three times so far and that really proves how much of a superpower italy is especially in field shooting [Music] and i believe italy is going to choose to first again i believe italy's going to choose choose to shoot first again well i think france will to will shoot first because italy was first from second and our women normally want to shoot the second so oh just wait and see here either way it's gonna be amazing match again yeah italy actually in these two teams so and again italy ranked first in the ranking round with france at a second so again it's going to be a very close match excited to see how this turns out [Music] okay so three low again low again yeah everything's been pretty low today compound shooting next 15 meter bunny target this target's only 20 centimeters five bear bows up next still have plenty of time 74 seconds on the clock let's see her make a strong shot vachinte is a good shooter she won several european and world championships so that's amazing looked like amazing shot and look at that it was a five some good shooting from italy so 553 13 points and that's been pretty a consistent score for the first target i think we've had 13 points yeah three times now yes so i guess it's because it's the first one so they all go low they don't know france is up second four four that's a four again low yes compound shooting next 15 meters 20 centimeter target four four again still low yes low end on the right barebow shooting last 85 seconds on the clock let's see them make a strong shot i do believe it uh italy is going to take the match on this first target but see if we can have a comeback from france two two two yep and italy is going to take some targets yeah that's a pretty good lead especially for your first target yeah let's see if they can maintain this and see where this can go yeah france will for sure try to shoot better in the first targets and manage to take some points so so far the score is 13 10 with italy in the lead italy with 13 france with 10 after our first apologize sort of out of our control looks like a strong shot that's a three and a three not fantastic but it is what it is but sometimes you just need one point more exactly so any and anything in in field archery anything can happen of course anything can you're just now joining us it is the 2021 european field championships in bovit croatia [Music] italy is going to be shooting now reaper first it's a strong shot see if they can gain some more points on france five five and it's going to be good enough it really is gold is good good is good yet compound up next i have a strong shot that looks smooth and it was a good shot you see it when she let go it was smooth relaxed shot barebow is up now 57 seconds on the clock plenty of time a little bit of a breeze still blowing in from the sea it's a beautiful day here in croatia maybe it's a three we'll wait to get that confirmed by the judges well i wonder if chintya needs some because she's left-handed and the son is just in front of her that may be the case uh and i think believe that she can ask and request yeah it is allowed the coach can shade the athlete but still that's a six point lead for italy that's definitely a good advantage it really is at the half of the match so [Music] [Music] and france against slovenia in the semi-finals yes you see here on the screen they've had some pretty good matches but yeah it has been verified the score is 27-21 italy 27 france 21 six point lead for italy and that is a substantial lead two targets in and now we're going to move to the farther distances so anything 45 meters for compound and record and 40 meters for bob on the 60 centimeter and at this distance really anything can happen it really can high better than low compounds yeah i guess the first step her first arrow was low so she just thought okay good shot really gonna have to be for and in to try to make up some points on italy with only two targets ready to go we have a five and a four so far for france bear bows coming up now let's see if you can make a strong shot five five and that was a good shot that was that's definitely a comeback for the last two targets yeah definitely i feel like them that stress and adrenaline is starting to ease out for sure yeah the first hour we also heard no so she realized that it wasn't a good shot excited to see what happens here italy is up second recurve shooting first [Music] a very large crowd of italian supporters behind us yeah well we have a big team so yeah and it's quite nice it's quite nice having this many people you see the wind pick up a little bit if you were watching the flags up on the poles so that letdown was totally understandable 83 seconds the clock is still plenty of time for three arrows a long of a hold okay it's a three little reload again low okay i think it may have to do with some of that headwind coming off of the ocean pushing on the archers i will have to see i can ask him when around four four like the swedish guys said the wind was not a problem but they did but there we go now we have some shade there definitely is some shade going on so i guess she did have some issues left-handed with that sun in her eyes let's see if this can help her give her a little edge 38 france 35. italy in the lead by three points so france is making a little bit of a comeback and that's what we said before every time one target at a time because everything can happen in field archery anything can happen and you can definitely hear the italian spirits behind us and it's actually quite nice to hear it [Music] really pushing your archers making sure they know that you are there supporting them helps with the nerves again i apologize if there's any static coming off of our mics the wind blowing in can do that sometimes and it is verified italy 38 france 35 three-point lead for italy going into their final target their final target will be a 60 meter shot for recurving compound on an 80 centimeter face and 50 meters on the 87 face so pretty far the max distance is for both divisions are all three divisions sorry recurve up first like good shot three or four three that arrow does look a little canted in there it's new really near to the line so see when the judges called judge yeah again france is up now compounded shot five high better than the false low shot can now make the difference they really can at this distance being the max distance bear bow really comes down to the barebow 60 seconds on the clock plenty of time the wind does appear that is going to pick up some let's see a strong shot really finish off strong well that's a five really good to the six yeah that's that's a good shot five so five five three thirteen it was italy's turn to shoot now [Music] italy will need a 10 the score of a 10 to tie an 11 to win i would eventually say that the odds are in their favor for this match but infield archer you never know i'd be saddened because recurve is up first a little breezier that look like a nice shot that's a six six there we go strong shots [Music] compound up now four four four so it comes down it comes down to the bare bone now if you're gonna be a shoot-off or italy is going to take this match yet again anything can happen i saw fantastic things on the 50 meters so i i do i do believe that bubba can really shoot the six or missiles nothing so just mess up a crawl by a little bit that doesn't make a difference okay the big there we go good job italy i think that's the fifth time italy wins the gold medal in the women team competition [Music] so how does it i'll let you get all ready apologies so how does it feel being the women's team gold medalist [Laughter] we are very happy you're very happy i i bet i i guess you would be how how did the weather feel get into field archery what they can or try to do just to try field archery because i think if you became strong in field you do more points also in target you do and i can i can agree with that now look at the screen now i mean you're on the beach the targets are in the sands luckily the archers can stand on the grass up here to shoot uh i know sand in your tennis shoes can sometimes be a little uncomfortable i eat scent yeah but you see the mediterranean out there beautiful water it's been super clear yes a lot of scuba divers and snorkelers are out there in boats and under the water we really can and this is beautiful weather here it really has been okay and our next match coming up is the men's team and it's going to be guess what italy okay italy again italy and spain and when it comes to cheering i think these two are going to be the loudest out here oh spain yeah i i completely forgot but yeah yeah be ready i don't know if the audience would hear us because well i will make sure that they can uh it's really loud i'll try i'll try to get some uh some sound for you guys turn the mic on try to get them in their chance so you guys can hear the support that they're giving their athletes and it is very beautiful actually see and watch [Music] so now for italy we have bruno marco esposito eric and mandela similan and actually uh one very interesting fact is that going into this match italy was ranked top seed number one whereas spain was great so they definitely had to fight to make their way back up to this gold medal match so that definitely shows that they have some fire in their soul yeah this will be a good match it definitely will okay spain is starting to cheer definitely hear him sitting here [Music] there you go and that is spain's cheer and this is going to be italy [Music] so that's another match you know one on the field one line yeah and we have spain going off again and you can really hear them i'm sorry if that hurt some people's ears should give you a headphones warning beforehand but that is directly behind us in the commentating tense and it is so it's however it's getting these shields first compound up first this will be the incredible shooting i really don't have a an estimation of who will will walk away from this match with a gold medal it really could be anybody's game at this point yeah actually yeah both teams are shooting so great and first arrow for italy five as a five i strong shot for italy five is okay especially at this distance five is okay but i don't know if it's enough i i don't i don't either but we comes down to them keeping it in the goal to win this match i think the four has opened the opportunity there definitely is an opportunity that five and four really did upset the score for italy compound mixed team events and they tie all the way through definitely some amazing shooting from italy and great britain definitely proves that they have the mental strength to hang on so juanel paracha to be honest i'm not completely sure on the rules but i can ask to see okay to our knowledge we believe one arrow yeah well i'm quite sure because uh the italian record team made a shoot-off this morning so and that's actually the same road of the target arteries so so one era per archer max score of a 12 yeah in that case is really gonna have some stress we'll see if the heartbeats come
